1An integrative Tai Chi program for patients with breast cancer undergoing cancer therapy:study protocol for a randomized controlled feasibility study显示文摘Background:Breast cancer patients experience various side effects during cancer therapy, often resulting in reduced quality of life and poor adherence to treatment. A limited range of proven interventions has been developed to target such side effects. While Tai Chi offers benefits for the health and well-being of breast cancer survivors, the effectiveness of Tai Chi across the treatment continuum has not been evaluated. Improved patient education and support has been suggested as a priority for breast cancer care. This pilot study assesses the feasibility of a randomized controlled trial(RCT) to evaluate the effectiveness of‘‘an integrative Tai Chi'(ANITA) program for breast cancer patients undergoing cancer therapy.Methods/design: This is a single-centre, two-arm feasibility RCT. Twenty-four patients with breast cancer who have undergone surgical treatment will be recruited from the Dunedin Hospital(New Zealand) over a 12-month period(from August 2017 to July 2018). Subject to informed consent, patients will be randomized to receive standard cancer treatment alone or standard cancer treatment plus the ANITA program, consisting of peer support, health education, and Tai Chi Ruler exercise. The program runs alongside the patient's adjuvant cancer therapy, which may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy,antibody treatment, and/or antihormonal therapy. Analysis in this study will focus on process evaluation of participant recruitment, retention, treatment fidelity, acceptability of the program, and occurrence of adverse events. 2当归芍药散治疗阿尔茨海默病的作用机制实验研究进展显示文摘阿尔茨海默病(AD)是一种起病隐匿并呈进行性发展的神经系统退行性疾病,已成为全球重大健康和社会经济问题。AD发病机制十分复杂,存在β淀粉样蛋白过度沉积、Tau蛋白过度磷酸化、氧化应激、炎症等多种假说,因此迫切需要多途径、多环节、多靶点的整体综合调治措施的干预。这正是中医药的特色与优势。开展和加强中医药治疗本病的研究,具有重大意义。当归芍药散出自《金匮要略》,该方肝脾同调、血水并治,原为疗妇人之疾而设,自20世纪80年代末首次被日本学者用于治疗AD获效后,逐渐被广泛用于临床,疗效确切。阐明此方作用机理有助于其治疗优势的发挥。该文综述近年来相关实验研究进展,就其减少β-淀粉样蛋白过度沉积、抑制Tau蛋白异常磷酸化、改善氧化应激损伤、抑制炎症反应、调节乙酰胆碱相关酶类、增加α7烟碱样乙酰胆碱受体、调节脂质代谢、改善肠道菌群、拮抗神经细胞凋亡、降低胞内Ca2+超载并提高雌二醇激素水平等机制进行论述,以期为阐明此方治疗AD的科学内涵提供文献支持,并为进一步研究奠定基础。陈云慧 夏军 刘丹 刘兴隆 张天娥 DAVID BAXTER George LIU Lizhou 游宇 谢永美 龚圆渊 彭伟 2022中国实验方剂学杂志2022,28,24:3
3Ultrasound-enhanced fluorescence imaging and chemotherapy of multidrugresistant tumors using multifunctional dendrimer/carbon dot nanohybrids显示文摘Development of innovative nanomedicine enabling enhanced theranostics of multidrug-resistant(MDR)tumors remains to be challenging.Herein,we report the development of a newly designed multifunctional yellowfluorescent carbon dot(y-CD)/dendrimer nanohybrids as a platform for ultrasound(US)-enhanced fluorescence imaging and chemotherapy of MDR tumors.Generation 5(G5)poly(amidoamine)dendrimers covalently modified with efflux inhibitor of D-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate(G5-TPGS)were complexed with one-step hydrothermally synthesized y-CDs via electrostatic interaction.The formed G5-TPGS@y-CDs complexes were then physically loaded with anticancer drug doxorubicin(DOX)to generate(G5-TPGS@y-CDs)-DOX complexes.The developed nanohybrids display a high drug loading efficiency(40.7%),strong y-CD-induced fluorescence emission,and tumor microenvironment pH-preferred DOX release profile.Attributing to the DOX/TPGS dual drug design,the(G5-TPGS@y-CDs)-DOX complexes can overcome the multidrug resistance(MDR)of cancer cells and effectively inhibit the growth of cancer cells and tumors.Furthermore,the introduction of US-targeted microbubble destruction technology was proven to render the complexes with enhanced intracellular uptake and anticancer efficacy in vitro and improved chemotherapeutic efficacy and fluorescence imaging of tumors in vivo due to the produced sonoporation effect.The developed multifunctional dendrimer/CD nanohybrids may represent an advanced design of nanomedicine for US-enhanced theranostics of different types of MDR tumors.Dan Li Lizhou Lin Yu Fan Long Liu Mingwu Shen Rong Wu Lianfang Du Xiangyang Shi 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:3
4A single mutation in the PBC loop of VP2 is involved in the in vitro replication of infectious bursal disease virus显示文摘To test whether amino acid mutations in the PBC and PHI loops of VP2 are involved in the replication and virulence of infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV), a pair of viruses, namely the moderately virulent IBDV(rG x-F9VP2) and the attenuated strain(rGt), were used. Residue mutations A222P(P_(BC)) and S330R(PHI), selected by sequence comparison, were introduced individually into r Gx-F9VP2 by using a reverse genetics system. In addition, the reverse mutation of either P222 A or R330 S was introduced into r Gt. The four modified viruses were then rescued and evaluated in vitro(CEF cells) and in vivo(SPF chickens). Results showed that A222 P elevated the replication efficiency of rG x-F9VP2 while P222 A reduced that of rG t in CEF cells. A mutation at residue 330 did not alter IBDV replication. In addition, animal experiments showed that a single mutation at either residue 222 or 330 did not significantly influence the virulence of IBDV. 5Fast CO_(2) Retrieval Using a Semi-Physical Statistical Model for the High-Resolution Spectrometer on the Fengyun-3D Satellite显示文摘China’s Fengyun-3D meteorological satellite launched in December 2016 carries the high-resolution greenhouse-gases absorption spectrometer(GAS)aimed at providing global observations of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).To date,GAS is one of the few instruments measuring CO_(2) from the near-infrared spectrum.On orbit,the oxygen(O_(2))A band suffers a disturbance,and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is significantly lower than the nominal specification.This leads to difficulties in the retrieval of surface pressure and hence a degradation of the retrieval of the column-averaged CO_(2) dry air mole fraction(XCO_(2))if a full physics retrieval algorithm is used.Thus,a fast CO_(2) inverse method,named semi-physical statistical algorithm,was developed to overcome this deficiency.The instrument characteristics,the semi-physical statistical algorithm,and the results of comparison with ground-based measurements over land were introduced in this paper.XCO_(2) can be obtained from three bands,namely,the O_(2) A,weak CO_(2),and strong CO_(2) bands,with compensation from the Medium Resolution Spectral Imager-2(MERSI-2)products,ECMWF Reanaly-sis v5(ERA-5)data,and Total Carbon Column Observing Network(TCCON)data.The eigenvectors of covariance matrices and the least square fits were used to derive retrieval coefficients and yield cloud-free solutions.In addition to the GAS radiance,some key factors necessary for the accurate estimations of XCO_(2) were also taken as input information(e.g.,air mass,surface pressure,and a priori XCO_(2)).The global GAS XCO_(2) restricted over land was compared against the simultaneously collocated observations from TCCON.The retrieval algorithm can mitigate the issue caused by the low SNR of the O_(2) A band to a certain extent.Overall,through site-by-site comparisons,GAS XCO_(2) agreed well with the average precision(1σ)of 1.52 ppm and bias of−0.007 ppm.The seasonal variation trends of GAS XCO_(2) can be clearly seen at TCCON sites on the 1-yr timescale.Yanmeng BI Peng ZHANG Zhongdong YANG Qian WANG Xingying ZHANG Chengbao LIU Pengmei XU Lizhou HOU Junyu KE Naiqiang ZHANG 2022Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,2:2
6Dynamic Finite Element Modeling and Simulation of Soft Robots显示文摘Soft robots have become important members of the robot community with many potential applications owing to their unique flexibility and security embedded at the material level.An increasing number of researchers are interested in their designing,manufacturing,modeling,and control.However,the dynamic simulation of soft robots is difficult owing to their infinite degrees of freedom and nonlinear characteristics that are associated with soft materials and flexible geometric structures.In this study,a novel multi-flexible body dynamic modeling and simulation technique is introduced for soft robots.Various actuators for soft robots are modeled in a virtual environment,including soft cable-driven,spring actuation,and pneumatic driving.A pneumatic driving simulation was demonstrated by the bending modules with different materials.A cable-driven soft robot arm prototype and a cylindrical soft module actuated by shape memory alley springs inspired by an octopus were manufactured and used to validate the simulation model,and the experimental results demonstrated adequate accuracy.The proposed technique can be widely applied for the modeling and dynamic simulation of other soft robots,including hybrid actuated robots and rigid-flexible coupling robots.This study also provides a fundamental framework for simulating soft mobile robots and soft manipulators in contact with the environment.Liang Ding Lizhou Niu Yang Su Huaiguang Yang Guangjun Liu Haibo Gao Zongquan Deng 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,2:2

11A solids-free brine drilling fluid system for coiled tubing drilling显示文摘There are many problems associated with coiled tubing drilling operations, such as great circulation pressure loss inside pipe, difficulties in weight on bit(WOB) transferring, and high probability of differential sticking. Aiming at these problems, solids-free brine drilling fluid system was developed on the basis of formulation optimization with brine base fluid experiment, which was evaluated and applied to field drilling. Based on the optimization of flow pattern regulator, salt-resisting filtrate reducer, high performance lubricant and bit cleaner, the basic formula of the solids-free brine drilling fluid system was formed: brine +(0.1%-0.2%) Na OH +(0.2%-0.4%) HT-XC +(2.0%-3.0%) YLJ-1 +(0.5%-2.0%) SDNR +(1.0%-2.5%) FT-1 A +(1.0%-5.0%) SD-505 + compound salt density regulator. Lab evaluation showed that the fluid had satisfactory temperature resistance(up to 150 ℃), excellent cuttings tolerance(up to 25%), and strong inhibition(92.7% cuttings recovery); Moreover, its lubrication performance was similar to that of all oil-based drilling fluid. The wellbore could be fairly cleaned at annular up-flow velocity of more than 0.8 m/s if the ratio of yield point to plastic viscosity was kept above 0.5. This fluid system has been applied in the drilling of three coiled tubing sidetracking wells in the Liaohe Oilfield, during which the system was stable and easy to adjust, resulting in excellent cuttings transportation, high ROP, regular hole size, and no down hole accidents. 12SoSpider:A bio-inspired multimodal untethered soft hexapod robot for planetary lava tube exploration显示文摘Soft robots have tremendous potential for applications in various fields,owing to their safety and flexibility embedded at the material level.Soft robots,especially bio-inspired soft legged robots,have become one of the most active fields of current research in robotics thanks to their superior mobility and ability to face complex terrains.However,it is arduous to establish a dynamic simulation model for soft robots,owing to their hyper-redundant degrees of freedom,hyper-elasticity,and nonlinearity of their soft structures.In this study,we designed,simulated,and fabricated a hexapod robot that achieves walking,crawling,pronking,and rolling with wheeled legs plus a soft body capable of shape change.A robot prototype was fabricated using 3D printing technology and soft silicone pneumatic networks.Actuators,battery power,and control boards were integrated into the body of the robot for untethered locomotion.We have explored the capabilities of the robot in different conditions,especially in scenarios that simulate lunar and Martian environments,demonstrating the motion performance of the robot.The results have shown promising potentials of the developed robot for future applications in planetary lava tube exploration.Our experimental and simulation results also show good agreements that indicate the potential predictive roles of simulation tools for soft robot design,planning,and control.NIU LiZhou DING Liang ZHANG ShengJie YANG HuaiGuang GAO HaiBo DENG ZongQuan LIU GuangJun HOSSAIN Mokarram 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,11:0
13Differentiation of gestational diabetes mellitus by nuclear magnetic resonance-based metabolic plasma analysis显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the metabolic profile of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)at both antepartum and postpartum periods.Seventy pregnant women were divided into three groups:the normal glucose-tolerant group(NGT,n=35),the abnormal glucose-tolerant groups without insulin therapy(A1GDM,n=24)or with insulin therapy(A2GDM,n=11).Metabolic profiles of the plasma were acquired by proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H-NMR)spectroscopy and analyzed by multivariate statistical data analysis.The relationship between demographic parameters and the potential metabolite biomarkers was further explored.Group antepartum or postpartum showed similar metabolic trends.Compare with those of the NGT group,the levels of 2-hydroxybutyrate,lysine,acetate,glutamine,succinate,tyrosine,formate,and all three BCAAs(leucine,valine,isoleucine)in the A2GDM group were increased dramatically,and the levels of lysine,acetate,and formate in the A1GDM group were elevated significantly.The dramatically decreased levels of 3-methyl-2-oxovalerate and methanol were observed both in the A1GDM group and A2GDM group.Compare to the A1GDM group,the branched-chain amino acids(BCAAs)of leucine,valine,and isoleucine were increased dramatically in the A2GDM group.The levels of aromatic amino acids(AAAs),tyrosine and phenylalanine,were significantly increased in GDM women,consistent with the severity of GDM.Interference of amino acid metabolism and disturbance in energy metabolism occurred in women with different grades of GDM.Metabolic profiles could reflect the severity of GDM.Plasma BCAA concentrations showing strong positive correlations with weight and pre-delivery BMI.This study provides a new perspective to understand the pathogenesis and etiology of GDM,which may help the clinical management and treatment of GDM.Liping Liu Lenan Liu Junsong Wang Qi Zheng Bai Jin Lizhou Sun 2021The Journal of Biomedical Research2021,35,5:0
