1China National Medical Products Administration approval summary:anlotinib for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer after two lines of chemotherapy显示文摘Background:On May 8,2018,the China National Medical Products Administration(NMPA)approved anlotinib,an orally administered anti-angiogenesis inhibitor,for the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung can-cer(NSCLC)who have progressed after treatment with two or more lines of prior systemic chemotherapy.Main body of the abstract:China NMPA reviewed and inspected a regional double-blinded,placebo-controlled,Phase III trial comparing the overall survival(OS)of NSCLC patients between the anlotinib and placebo arms.A total of 437 patients were randomized(2:1)to receive either anlotinib(n=294)or placebo(n=143)once daily on a 2-week on and 1-week off schedule.Patients with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)or activating anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)genomic tumor aberrations should have disease progression on NMPA-approved therapy.Anlotinib is the first NMPA-approved drug for patients with advanced NSCLC who have progressed on at least two lines of prior systemic chemotherapies in China.The approval was based on a statistically and clinically significant improvement in median OS with anlotinib(9.46 months)compared with placebo[6.37 months;hazard ratio(HR])=0.70,95%confidence interval(CI)=0.55-0.89;two-sided log-rank P=0.002].The confirmed objective response rate(ORR)was 9.2%in the anlotinib arm and 0.7%in the placebo arm.The median duration of response(DoR)was 4.83 months,with a 95%CI of 3.31-6.97 months.The toxicity profile of anlotinib was consistent with that of known anti-angiogenesis inhibitors.Common adverse drug reactions(ADRs)in anlotinib-treated patients included hypertension(67.4%),hand-foot syndrome(43.9%),hemoptysis(14.0%),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)elevation(46.6%),and corrected QT interval(QTc)prolongation(26.2%).Short conclusion:Anlotinib demonstrated a clinically significant OS prolongation as a novel therapeutic option for advanced or metastatic NSCLC following at least two lines of chemotherapy.Ming Zhou Xiaoyuan Chen Hong Zhang Lin Xia Xin Tong Limin Zou Ruimin Hao Jianhong Pan Xiao Zhao Dongmei Chen Yuanyuan Song Yueli Qi Ling Tang Zhifang Liu Rong Gao Yuankai Shi Zhimin Yang 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:35
2Hygroscopic growth of aerosol scattering coefficient:A comparative analysis between urban and suburban sites at winter in Beijing显示文摘A humidity controlled inlet system was developed to measure the hygroscopic growth of aerosol scattering coefficient in conjunction with nephelometry at an urban site of Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences (CAMS) in Beijing and a rural site at Shangdianzi Regional Background Air Pollution Monitoring Station (SDZ) outside Beijing during winter, from December 2005 to January 2006. Measurements were carried out at a wavelength of 525 nm with an Ecotech M9003 nephelometer. The hygroscopic growth function (or factor) of the aerosol scattering coefficient f(RH) increased continuously with increasing relative humidity (RH) and showed no obvious 'step-like' deliquescent behavior at both sites during the experiment. The average growth factor f(RH) at the SDZ site could reach 1.5 when RH increased from less than 40% to 92%, and to 2.1 at the CAMS site when RH increased from less than 40% to 93%. The average hygroscopic growth factor at a relative humidity of 80%, f(RH = 80 ± 1%), was found to be about 1.26 ± 0.15 at CAMS and 1.24 ± 0.11 at SDZ. Further analysis indicated that under relatively polluted conditions, the average hygroscopic growth factor was higher at the CAMS site than that at the SDZ site. However, under relatively clean air conditions, the difference between the two sites was small, showing a hygroscopic growth behavior similar to those of burning biomass or blowing dust. 6Survey of nutrients and quality assessment of crab paste by 1~H NMR spectroscopy and multivariate data analysis显示文摘Crab paste is a traditional and popular food for people in the coastal area of China.Visual inspection is currently the only method of quality assessment.We developed a new analytical method of a comprehensive survey of nutrients and quality assessment for crab paste based on a combination of 1 H NMR spectroscopy with multivariate data analysis.The aqueous extract of crab paste was dominated by amino acids,sugars,carboxylic acids,nucleotides and amines(including 19 first-time-reported compounds such as choline,uracil and guanosine).Two grades of crab paste had significant compositional differences in terms of amino acids,lactate,N-acetylglutamate,choline,dimethylamine,uridine,1-methylnicotinamide and 2-pyridienmethanol.These results provided important information on the grade-dependence of crab-paste composition,and demonstrated that NMR-MDA was effective not only for the comprehensive survey of nutrients,but also for quality assessment of crab paste.YE YangFang ZHANG LiMin TANG HuiRu YAN XiaoJun 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25:9

8Confined spaces path following for cable-driven snake robots with prediction lookup and interpolation algorithms显示文摘While cable-driven snake robots are promising in exploring confined spaces, their hyper-redundancy makes the collision-free motion planning difficult. In this paper, by combining the prediction lookup and interpolation algorithms, we present a new path following method for cable-driven snake robots to high-efficiently slither into complex terrains along a desired path. In our method, we first discretize the desired path into points, and develop the prediction lookup algorithm to efficiently find the points matched with joints of the robot. According to geometric relations between the prediction lookup results and link length of the robot, we develop the interpolation algorithm to reduce the tracking errors caused by the discretization. Finally, simulations and experiments of inspections in two confined spaces including the obstacle array and pipe tank system are performed on our custom-built 25 degree of freedoms(DOFs) cable-driven snake robot. 10Digitally determining forest inventory units with an ecological classification system显示文摘Management-level forest resource data in China were obtained with a combination of two forest inventories. However, inconsistencies in the spatial attributes of forest data vary between the two inventory types and between two inventories of the same type. The inconsistencies make it inconvenient for long-term forest management planning with digital technologies. Ecological Land Types (ELTs) and Ecological Land Type Phases (ELTPs) have been mapped in selected forestry regions in northeast China, where important forest industries are located. The boundaries of ELTs are determined by geomorphic conditions, which are quantified by Digital Elevation Models (DEM); ELTPs are classified by overlaying ELTs with forest vegetation data layers that are obtained with both remotely sensed and ground data. The ELTPs represent the divisions of land in terms of both natural and human-induced forest conditions, and therefore they are reliable units for forest inventories and management. This paper introduces a case study for digitally determining forest inventory units in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, northeast China. 11The Effect of Home-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation on Functional Capacity,Behavior,and Risk Factors in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome in China显示文摘Aim:To investigate the effect of home-based cardiac rehabilitation on functional capacity,health behavior,and risk factors in patients with acute coronary syndrome in China.Methods:Eighty patients with acute coronary syndrome were enrolled in this prospective randomized controlled study.Patients in the cardiac rehabilitation group(n=52)received home-based cardiac rehabilitation with a heart manual and a home exercise video for 3 months and patients in the control group(n=28)received only routine secondary prevention.The 6-min walk distance,laboratory test results,healthy behavior(questionnaire),quality of life(12-item Short Form Health Survey),anxiety(7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire),and depression(9-item Patient Health Questionnaire)were evaluated at the beginning and after treatment for 3 months.Results:Compared with baseline data,52 patients who participated in cardiac rehabilitation had longer 6-min walk distance(515.26±113.74 m vs 0.445.30±97.92 m,P<0.0002),higher proportions of“always exercise”(78.26% vs.28%,P<0.05),“always limit food with sugar”(65.22% vs 12%,P<0.05),“always eat fruits 200–400 g every day”(82.61% vs.4%,P<0.05).and“always eat vegetables 300–500 g every day”(21.74%vs.12%,P<0.06)after treatment for 3 months.The low-density lipoprotein cholesterol control rate(52.17% vs.28%,P<0.05)and the systolic blood pressure control rate(100%vs.68%,P<0.05)were also signifi cantly increased after treatment for 3 months in the cardiac rehabilitation group.No signifi cant increase was found in the control group after treatment for 3 months.No cardiac-event related to home exercise was reported in both groups.Conclusion:Home-based cardiac rehabilitation is a feasible and available cardiac rehabilitation mode in China.Rongjing Ding Jianchao Li Limin Gao Liang Zhu Wenli Xie Xiaorong Wang Qin Tang Huili Wang Dayi Hu 2017Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2017,,B02:5
12Boosting the photodynamic therapy efficiency with a mitochondria-targeted nanophotosensitizer显示文摘Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an attractive clinical technique for cancer treatment. However, the poor solubility and weak cellular internalization of the molecule-photosensitizers, as well as the exceedingly short lifetime and limited diffusion distance of the generated reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cytoplasm directly restricted the therapeutic efficiency of conventional PDT. In this study, we proposed a facile strategy for improving PDT of cancer based on a mitochondria-targeted nanophotosensitizer. The molecule-photosensitizer chlorin e6 was covalently attached on the internal and external surfaces of the mesoporous silica nanoparticles. Then, the triphenylphosphonium was anchored on the nanoparticles for selectively targeting mitochondria. When irradiated with laser, the nanophotosensitizer can generate a large amount of ROS in mitochondria, thus causing the mitochondrial dysfunction and irreversible cell apoptosis. 13Mapping forest fire risk zones with spatial data and principal component analysis显示文摘By integrating forest inventory data with remotely sensed data, new data layers for factors that affect forest fire potentials were generated for Baihe Forestry Bureau in Jilin Province of China. The principle component analysis was used to sort out the relationships between forest fire potentials and environmental factors. The classifications of these factors were performed with GIS, generating three maps: a fuel-based fire risk map, a topography-based fire risk map, and an anthropogenic-factor fire risk map. These three maps were then synthesized to generate the final fire risk map. The linear regression method was used to analyze the relationship between an area-weighted value of forest fire risks and the frequency of historical forest fires at each forest farm. 14Quantifying soil erosion with GIS-based RUSLE under different forest management options in Jianchang Forest Farm显示文摘Quantitatively estimating soil erosion with an integration of geographic information system (GIS) and the revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE) under four different exposed soil proportion scenarios caused by forest management practices was studied at Jianchang Forest Farm. The GIS provided means of input data generation required by RUSLE model and allowed a spatial assessment of the erosion hazard over the study area. Four exposed soil proportion scenarios of 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% were tested with the GIS-based RUSLE model to evaluate soil erosion hazard. 16Digital forestry research in China显示文摘Digital Forestry as a concept was developed after the Digital Earth program. The Chinese scientists were not only among the pioneers who first proposed the concept of Digital Forestry, but also contributed a lot to the development of Digital Forestry. Digital Forestry is a digital framework to maintain forest planting, management, using, and protect. The synergetic use of computationally-intensive quantitative methods together with information technologies is the most important foundation for the development of Digital Forestry. Under this situation, the experience of Digital Forestry development in China is relatively rich. A number of academicians, scholars, and professional administrators were involved in discussing the Digital Forestry Construction Scheme. 17Single optical microfiber enabled tactile sensor for simultaneous temperature and pressure measurement显示文摘The ability to sense heat and touch is essential for healthcare,robotics,and human–machine interfaces.By taking advantage of the engineerable waveguiding properties,we design and fabricate a flexible optical microfiber sensor for simultaneous temperature and pressure measurement based on theoretical calculation.The sensor exhibits a high temperature sensitivity of 1.2 nm/℃ by measuring the shift of a high-order mode cutoff wavelength in the short-wavelength range.In the case of pressure sensing,the sensor shows a sensitivity of 4.5%per kilopascal with a fast temporal frequency response of 1000 Hz owing to the strong evanescent wave guided outside the microfiber.The cross talk is negligible because the temperature and pressure signals are measured at different wavelengths based on different mechanisms.The properties of fast temporal response,high temperature,and pressure sensitivity enable the sensor for real-time skin temperature and wrist pulse measurements,which is critical to the accurate analysis of pulse waveforms.We believe the sensor will have great potential in wearable optical devices ranging from healthcare to humanoid robots.NI YAO XIAOYU WANG SHUQI MA XINGDA SONG SHAN WANG ZHANGXING SHI JING PAN SHIPENG WANG JIANLIANG XIAO HAITAO LIU LONGTENG YU YAO TANG ZHANG ZHANG XIONG LI WEI FANG LEI ZHANG LIMIN TONG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,9:2
18Estimation of dry deposition fluxes of major inorganic species by canopy throughfall approach显示文摘Dry deposition in China has not yet been intensively studied even though it constitutes an important pathway for acid deposition. The total deposition was monitored at Tieshanping catchment, a regional remote site in Chongqing City. The dry deposition loads of sulphur, calcium and nitrogen are estimated by using a canopy throughfall approach. The results indicate that the annual dry deposition loads of sulphur and calcium at Tieshanping site are much higher than those measured in forestry areas in other countries, while the dry deposition flux of ni- trogen is at a comparable level. The dry deposition loads of sulphur, calcium and nitrogen are all higher than the wet deposition loads. 20Evolving strategies for marine enzyme engineering:recent advances on the molecular modification of alginate lyase显示文摘Alginate,an acidic polysaccharide,is formed byβ-D-mannuronate(M)andα-L-guluronate(G).As a type of polysaccharide lyase,alginate lyase can efficiently degrade alginate into alginate oligosaccharides,having potential applications in the food,medicine,and agriculture fields.However,the application of alginate lyase has been limited due to its low catalytic efficiency and poor temperature stability.In recent years,various structural features of alginate lyase have been determined,resulting in modification strategies that can increase the applicability of alginate lyase,making it important to summarize and discuss the current evidence.In this review,we summarized the structural features and catalytic mechanisms of alginate lyase.Molecular modification strategies,such as rational design,directed evolution,conserved domain recombination,and non-catalytic domain truncation,are also described in detail.Lastly,the application of alginate lyase is discussed.This comprehensive summary can inform future applications of alginate lyases.Shengsheng Cao Qian Li Yinxiao Xu Tiancheng Tang Limin Ning Benwei Zhu 2022Marine Life Science & Technology2022,4,1:2
