1Detection and identification of Vibrio parahaemolyticus by multiplex PCR and DNA-DNA hybridization on a microarray显示文摘In this paper,we developed a rapid and accurate method for the detection of Vibrio parahaemalyticus strains,using multiplex PCR and DNA—DNA hybridization.Multiplex PCR was used to simultaneously amplify three diagnostic genes(tlh,tdh and fla) that serve as molecular markers of V.parahaemolyticus.Biotinylated PCR products were hybridized to primers immobilized on a microarray,and detected by chemiluminesce with avidin—conjugated alkaline phosphatase.With this method,forty-five samples were tested.Eight known virulent strains (tlh^+/tdh^+/fla^+) and four known avirulent strains(tlh^+/tdh^-/fla^+) of the V.parahaemolyticus were successfully detected,and no non-specific hybridization and cross-hybridization reaction were found from fifteen closely-related strains(tlh^-/tdh^-/fla^+) of the Vibrio spp.In addition,all the other eighteen strains of non-Vibrio bacteria(tlh^-/tdh^-/fla^-) gave negative results.The DNA microarray successfully distinguished V. parahaemolyticus from other Vibrio spp.The results demonstrated that this was an efficient and robust method for identifying virulent strains of V.parahaemolyticus.Rongzhi Wang Jiadong Huang Wei Zhang Guangmei Lin Junwei Lian Libin Jiang Hongcong Lin Songfa Wang Shihua Wang 2011Journal of Genetics and Genomics2011,38,3:11
2PCN-Fe(Ⅲ)-PTX nanoparticles for MRI guided high efficiency chemo-photodynamic therapy in pancreatic cancer through alleviating tumor hypoxia显示文摘As nanomedicine-based clinical strategies have continued to develop,the possibility of combining chemotherapy and singlet oxygen-dependent photodynamic therapy(PDT)to treat pancreatic cancer(PaC)has emerged as a viable therapeutic modality.The efficacy of such an approach,however,is likely to be constrained by the mechanisms of drug release and tumor oxygen levels.In the present study,we developed an Fe(Ⅲ)-complexed porous coordination network(PCN)which we then used to encapsulate PTX(PCN-Fe(Ⅲ)-PTX)nanoparticles(NPs)in order to treat PaC via a combination of chemotherapy and PDT.The resultant NPs were able to release drug in response to both laser irradiation and pH changes to promote drug accumulation within tumors.Furthermore,through a Fe(Ⅲ)-based Fenton-like reaction these NPs were able to convert H2O2 in the tumor site to O2,thereby regulating local hypoxic conditions and enhancing the efficacy of PDT approaches.Also these NPs were suitable for use as a T1-MRI weighted contrast agent,making them viable for monitoring therapeutic efficacy upon treatment.Our results in both cell line and animal models of PaC suggest that these NPs represent an ideal agent for mediating effective MRI-guided chemotherapy-PDT,giving them great promise for the clinical treatment of PaC.Tao Zhang Zhenqi Jiang Libin Chen Chunshu Pan Shan Sun Chuang Liu Zihou Li Wenzhi Ren Aiguo Wu Pintong Huang 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:4
3Effects of acrous gramineus and its component, alpha-asarone, on apoptosis of hippocampal neurons after seizure in immature rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: α-asarone and acrous gramineus have been shown to play a necessary function in enhancing the reactivity and convulsant threshold to electric stimulation of immature rats. They have also been shown to effectively suppress epileptic seizures induced by pentylenetetrazol in young rats. However, the mechanisms for these roles have been still unclear. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects in immature rats of acrous gramineus and α-asarone on apoptosis of hippocampal neurons after epileptic seizure at the protein level, and to analyze the mechanism for these effects. DESIGN: A randomized controlled animal experiment. SETTINGS: Department of Pediatrics, First Hospital of Jilin University; Department of Histology and Embryology, Norman Bethune Medical School of Jilin University; Department of Internal Medicine, Children's Hospital of Changchun City; Department of Neurology, First Clinical Hospital affiliated to Harbin Medical University. MATERIALS: Fifty 3-week old Wistar rats, 34-40 g, irrespective of gender, were provided by Gaoxin Research Center of Medical Animal Experiment, Changchun. The animals were treated according to the animal ethical standards. The following chemicals were used for this study: acrous gramineus powders or infusion (Batch No. 0307113, Tianjiang Medicine Company Limited, Jiangyin), α-asarone tablets (Batch No. 030219, Tianwei Pharmaceutical Factory, Shenyang), and phenobarbital sodium tablets (Batch No. 020608, Xinya Medicine Company Limited, Shanghai). The animals were divided into five groups randomly. First, ten rats were chosen as the normal controls. The remaining rats were treated with i.p. injections of pentylenetetrazol to stimulate an epileptic model. METHODS: The experiments were performed at the Neurological Laboratory of the First Hospital of Jilin University between October and December 2004. The rats were treated with i.p. injections of pentylenetetrazol (60 mg/kg) to establish an epileptic model. According to Racine' s standard, animals that reached stage 4 and 5 were chosen and randomly divided into 4 groups: model group, phenobarbital sodium, acrous gramineus, and α-asarone group. The normal control group was treated with an i.p. injection of physiological saline (0.5 mL). After modeling, the model groups were intragastrically administrated 0.5 mL saline. The phenobarbital sodium, acrous gramineus, and α -asarone groups were intragastrically administrated 18 mg/kg/d phenobarbital sodium, 2 350 mg/kg/d acrous gramineus and 29 mg/kg/d α -asarone, respectively. The course of treatment was twice a day for 7 days. The normal group received intragastric administration of 0.5 mL saline at the same time. The rats were sacrificed and brain sections were prepared for light microscopy and electron microscopy. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Pathological changes of CA1 and CA3 hippocampal region neurons were observed by light microscopy and electronic microscopy. ② Neuronal apoptosis in the CA1 and CA3 region was measured by TUNEL staining. ③ Bcl-2 and Bax expression in CA1 and CA3 region neurons was detected by immunohistochemistry and a ratio of Bcl-2/Bax was calculated. RESULTS: All 50 immature rats were included in the final analysis. ① Pathological changes of CA1 and CA3 region hippocampal neurons: there were different pathological changes in all groups other than the normal control group. The number of damaged neurons in the model group was highest. The phenobarbital sodium, acrous gramineus, and α-asarone group exhibited different degrees of improvement. ② Neuronal apoptosis in the CA1 and CA3 regions: there were less TUNEL-positive cells in the CA1 and CA3 regions in the normal control group. One week after PTZ-induced seizure, numerous TUNEL-positive cells were detected in the CA1 and CA3 regions in the remaining four groups. There was a significant difference between the normal control group and the remaining four groups (t = 12.089-19.162, P < 0.01). The number of TUNEL-positive cells was less in the phenobarbital sodium, acrous gramineus, and α-asarone groupscompared to the model group (t = 4.707-6.268, P < 0.01). ③Bcl-2 and Bax expression of neurons in the CA1 and CA3 regions: The number of Bcl-2- and Bax-positive cells was less in the normal control group. The Bax-positive cells exhibited a normal shape and had large round nuclei that were predominant. One week after PTZ-induced epilepsy, the number of Bcl-2- and Bax-positive cells in the CA1 and CA2 regions was significantly increased in the remaining four groups compared to the normal control group (t = 11.606-27.042, P < 0.01). The Bax-positive cells exhibited a reduced size and nuclear pyknosis was predominant. However, there was no significant difference among the four groups (P > 0.05). The number of Bcl-2-positive cells in the phenobarbital sodium, acrous gramineus, and α -asarone groups were significantly increased compared to the model group (t = 4.051-6.404, P < 0.01). However, the number of Bax-positive cells was not significantly different among the four groups. The ratio of Bcl-2 to Bax expression was approximately 6.0 in the normal controls, 0.7 in the model group, and 1.0 in the remaining three groups. 4Rebound behaviors of droplets impacting on a superhydrophobic surface显示文摘The rebound behaviors of droplets impacting on a self-fabricated superhydrophobic brass surface (WCA=164.5°) were observed and studied by using high-speed-camera. In accordance with energy conversion, theoretical analysis of different behaviors and rebound mechanism were given. At lower velocities, three behaviors in different velocity ranges were observed: partial rebounding, entire rebounding and ejecting during rebounding. At higher velocities, such two behaviors as rebound after splashing and rebound, ejecting after splashing, occurred alternately and exhibited certain periodicity. 5Effects of acrous gramimeus and its main component alpha-asarone on the reactivity and convulsive threshold of immature rats to electric stimulation显示文摘BACKGROUND: The traditional Chinese medicine acrous gramimeus is the dry rhizome of Acrous gramimeus Soland, a kind of Araceae familial perennial herb, which has a sedation action, anticonvulsant and antiepileptic effect. Its effective component has not been known yet, and α-asarone, the major component of the volatile oil extracted from acrous gramineus, has been supposed to play a necessary role in it. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of acrous gramimeu and α-asarone on the reactivity and convulsive threshold to electric stimulation in immature rats, furthermore, attempt to definitize the anticonvulsant effect of αasarone. DESIGN: A randomized controlled study. SETTINGS: Department of Pediatrics, First Hospital of Jilin University; Department of Histology and Embryology, School of Basic Medical Sciences of Jilin University; Department of Neurology, First Clinical Hospital affiliated to Harbin Medical University; Department of Internal Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Changchun City. MATERIALS: Seventy 3-week immature Wistar rats (either males or females) of 34-40 g were used. Acrous gramimeu (1 g/bag, the content of α-asarone was 0.046 26%-0.070 16%) with the batch number of 0307113 was provided by Tianjiang Medicine Company Limited, Jiangyin City. α-asarone tablet (60 mg per tablet) with the batch number of 030219 was provided by Tianwei Pharmaceutical Factory, Shenyang City. α-asarone injectable preparation (2 mL per piece) with the batch number of 030105 was provided by Shuanghe Medicine Limited Company, Beijing City. METHODS: The experiments were carried out in the Neurological Laboratory of the First Hospital of Jilin University between August and October in 2004. ① The 70 rats were randomly divided into intragastric subset and intraperitoneal subset. The intragastric subset included four groups of control, phenobarbital sodium, acrous gramimeu and α-asarone; the intraperitoneal subset included three groups of control, phenobarbital sodium and α-asarone. There were 10 rats per group. ② In the intragastric subset, different group was treated with saline (1 mL for each time, phenobarbital sodium (18 mg/kg per day), acrous gramineu (2 350 mg/kg per day) and α-asarone (29 mg/kg per day) respectively twice every day for 5 days. In the intraperitoneal subset, different group was treated with saline (0.5 mL), phenobarbital sodium (29 mg/kg) and α-asarone (2.9 mg/kg) respectively. ③ Before and after administration for 5 days in the intragastric subset as well as before and after administration for about 1 hour in the intraperitoneal subset respectively, the rats were given electric stimulation with the NIHOM KOMDEM multifunctional electrophysiological recorder, and the reactivity and convulsive threshold to electric stimulation of the rats were recorded. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The reactivity and convulsive threshold to electric stimulation in immature rats were compared. RESULTS: All the rats were involved in the analysis of results. ① Results for intragastric administration: Before intragastric administration, there were no obvious differences in the reactivity and convulsive threshold to electric stimulation among the groups (P > 0.05). After intragastric administration for 5 days, the reactivity and convulsive threshold to the electric stimulation had no obvious changes in the control group, but those were significantly higher than before administration in the drug administration groups (t=3.317-7.401, P < 0.01), which were also obviously higher than those in the control group (t=3.027-8.941, P < 0.01), and those in the acrous gramimeu group and α-asarone group were not markedly different from those in the phenobarbital sodium group. ② Results for intraperitoneal injection: Before intraperitoneal injection, the reactivity and convulsive threshold to the electric stimulation had no obvious differences among the groups. After the intraperitoneal injection for 1 hour, the reactivity and convulsive threshold to the electric stimulation had no obvious change in the control group, but those were significantly higher than before administration in the drug administration groups (P < 0.01), which were also obviously higher than those in the control group (t=6.211-7.237, P < 0.01; t=4.085-5.633, P < 0.05), and there was no marked difference between α-asarone group and phenobarbital sodium group (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: ① As effective anticonvulsants, both acrous gramineu and α-asarone can enhance the reactivity and convulsive threshold of immature rats to electric stimulation. ② As one of the major effective components against convulsion of acrous gramineu, α-asarone is equivalent to phenobarbital sodium.Libin Yang Shulei Li Yuhong Wang Yanzhi Huang 2006Neural Regeneration Research2006,1,1:3

8MXene-GaN van der Waals metal-semiconductor junctions for high performance multiple quantum well photodetectors显示文摘A MXene-GaN-MXene based multiple quantum well photodetector was prepared on patterned sapphire substrate by facile drop casting.The use of MXene electrodes improves the responsivity and reduces dark current,compared with traditional Metal-Semiconductor-Metal(MSM)photodetectors using Cr/Au electrodes.Dark current of the device using MXene-GaN van der Waals junctions is reduced by three orders of magnitude and its noise spectral intensity shows distinct improvement compared with the traditional Cr/Au–GaN–Cr/Au MSM photodetector.The improved device performance is attributed to low-defect MXene-GaN van der Waals interfaces.Thanks to the high quality MXene-GaN interfaces,it is possible to verify that the patterned substrate can locally improve both light extraction and photocurrent collection.The measured responsivity and specific detectivity reach as high as 64.6 A/W and 1.93×1012 Jones,respectively,making it a potential candidate for underwater optical detection and communication.The simple fabrication of MXene-GaN-MXene photodetectors spearheaded the way to high performance photodetection by combining the advantages of emerging 2D MXene materials with the conventional III-V materials.Lingzhi Luo Yixuan Huang Keming Cheng Abdullah Alhassan Mahdi Alqahtani Libin Tang Zhiming Wang Jiang Wu 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,10:1
9A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 10Effect Mechanisms of Hygrothermal Environments on Failure of Single-Lap and Double-Lap CFRP-Aluminum Bolted Joints显示文摘The high demands for load-carrying capability and structural efficiency of composite-metal bolted joints trigger in-depth investigations on failure mechanisms of the joints in hygrothermal environments.However,few studies have been presented to exhaustively reveal hygrothermal effects on the failure of CFRP-metal bolted joints,which differ from CFRP-CFRP or metal-metal bolted joints because of the remarkably different material properties of CFRPs and metals.In this paper,hygrothermal effects on tensile failures of single-lap and double-lap CFRP-aluminum bolted joints were experimentally and numerically investigated.A novel numerical model,in which a hygrothermal-included progressive damage model of composites was established and elastic-plastic models of metals were built,was proposed to predict the failures of the CFRP-metal bolted joints in hygrothermal environments and validated by corresponding experiments.Different failure mechanisms of single-lap and double-lap CFRP-aluminum bolted joints,under 23°C/Dry and 70°C/Wet conditions,were revealed,respectively.It follows that both the collapse failures of the single-lap and double-lap bolted joints were dominated by the bearing failure of the CFRP hole laminate in the two conditions,indicating that the hygrothermal environment did not change the macro failure modes of the joints.However,the hygrothermal environment considerably shortened the damage propagation processes and reduced the strength of the joints.Besides,the hygrothermal environment weakened the load-transfer capability of the single-lap joint more severely than the double-lap joint because it aggravated the secondary bending effects of the single-lap joint obviously.Meijuan Shan Libin Zhao Wei Huang Fengrui Liu Jianyu Zhang 2020Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,4:1
11PKD3 promotes metastasis and growth of oral squamous cell carcinoma through positive feedback regulation with PD-L1 and activation of ERK-STAT1/3-EMT signalling显示文摘Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)has a high incidence of metastasis.Tumour immunotherapy targeting PD-L1 or PD-1 has been revolutionary;however,only a few patients with OSCC respond to this treatment.Therefore,it is essential to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the growth and metastasis of OSCC.In this study,we analysed the expression levels of protein kinase D3(PKD3)and PD-L1 and their correlation with the expression of mesenchymal and epithelial markers.We found that the expression of PKD3 and PD-L1 in OSCC cells and tissues was significantly increased,which correlated positively with that of mesenchymal markers but negatively with that of epithelial markers.Silencing PKD3 significantly inhibited the growth,metastasis and invasion of OSCC cells,while its overexpression promoted these processes.Our further analyses revealed that there was positive feedback regulation between PKD3 and PD-L1,which could drive EMT of OSCC cells via the ERK/STAT1/3 pathway,thereby promoting tumour growth and metastasis.Furthermore,silencing PKD3 significantly inhibited the expression of PD-L1,and lymph node metastasis of OSCC was investigated with a mouse footpad xenograft model.Thus,our findings provide a theoretical basis for targeting PKD3 as an alternative method to block EMT for regulating PD-L1 expression and inhibiting OSCC growth and metastasis.Bomiao Cui Jiao Chen Min Luo Yiying Liu Hongli Chen Die Lü Liwei Wang Yingzhu Kang Yun Feng Libin Huang Ping Zhang 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,1:1

15Generation and application of replication-competent Venus-expressing H5N1,H7N9,and H9N2 influenza A viruses显示文摘The generation and application of replication-competent influenza A virus(IAV) expressing a reporter gene represent a valuable tool to elucidate the mechanism of viral pathogenesis and establish new countermeasures to combat the threat of influenza. Here, replication-competent IAVs with a neuraminidase(NA) segment harboring a fluorescent reporter protein, Venus, were generated in the background of H5N1, H7N9, and H9N2 influenza viruses, the three subtypes of viruses with imminent pandemic potential. All three reporter viruses maintained virion morphology, replicated with similar or slightly reduced titers relative to their parental viruses, and stably expressed the fluorescent signal for at least two passages in embryonated chicken eggs. As a proof of concept, we demonstrated that these reporter viruses,used in combination with a high-content imaging system, can serve as a convenient and rapid tool for the screening of antivirals and host factors involved in the virus life cycle. 16Multifunctional all-polymer photovoltaic blend with simultaneously improved efficiency(18.04%),stability and mechanical durability显示文摘One of the most appealing material systems for solar energy conversion is allpolymer blend.Presently,the three key merits(power conversion efficiency,operation stability and mechanical robustness)exhibited a trade-off in a particular all-polymer blend system,which greatly limit its commercial application.Diverting the classic ternary tactic of organic solar cells based on polymer,nonfullerene small molecule and fullerene,herein we demonstrate that the three merits of a benchmark all-polymer blend PM6:PY-IT can be simultaneously maximized via the introduction of a polymerized fullerene derivative PPCBMB.Importantly,the addition of the guest component promoted the power conversion efficiency of PM6:PY-IT blend from 16.59%to 18.04%.Meanwhile,the device stability and film ductility are also improved due to the addition of this polymerized fullerene material.Morphology and device physics analyses reveal that optimal ternary system contains well-maintained molecular packing and crystallinity,being beneficial to keeping favorable charge transport and the reduced domain size contributed to charge generation and ductility improvement.Furthermore,the ternary photovoltaic blend was successfully used as photocatalysts,and an excellent heavy metal removal from water was demonstrated.This study showcases the multi-functions of all-polymer blends via the use of polymerized fullerenes.Tao Liu Kangkang Zhou Ruijie Ma Libin Zhang Ciyuan Huang Zhenghui Luo Hongxiang Zhu Shangfei Yao Chuluo Yang Bingsuo Zou Long Ye 2023Aggregate2023,4,3:0
17Processable Potassium Metal Anode for Stable Batteries显示文摘The future of high-energy density electrochemical energy storage systems relies on the advancement of rechargeable batteries that utilize reactive metals as anodes.In the alkaline metal,secondary battery systems because of abundant resource,high capacity and low redox potential,potassium(K)metal secondary battery(KMB)is expected to replace the existing lithiumion battery as a versatile platform for high-energy density,cost-effective energy storage devices.However,the difficulty in processing metal K results in nonstandard electrodes and hinders the development of KMBs.Furthermore,the mobility of the K metal anode due to its unique lowmelting point character at elevated temperatures in practical conditions leads to severe instability and risks in chemical/electrochemical processes.Herein,we fabricate a processable and moldable composite K metal anode by encapsulating K into reduced graphene oxide(rGO).The composite electrode can be engineered into various shapes discretionarily with precise sizes and stabilize the K metal anode at relatively high temperatures.Remarkably,the composite anode exhibits excellent cycling performance at high current density(8 mA cm^(-2)) with dendrite-free morphology.Paired with a Prussian blue cathode,the rGO-K composite anode shows much improved electrochemical performance and extended lifetime.Zhenghang Wei Aoxuan Wang Xuze Guan Guojie Li Zhiwei Yang Chengde Huang Jing Zhang Libin Ren Jiayan Luo Xingjiang Liu 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4:0
1840 Hz light flickering promotes sleep through cortical adenosine signaling显示文摘Flickering light stimulation has emerged as a promising non-invasive neuromodulation strategy to alleviate neuropsychiatric disorders.However,the lack of a neurochemical underpinning has hampered its therapeutic development.Here,we demonstrate that light flickering triggered an immediate and sustained increase(up to 3 h after flickering)in extracellular adenosine levels in the primary visual cortex(V1)and other brain regions,as a function of light frequency and intensity,with maximal effects observed at 40 Hz frequency and 4000 lux.We uncovered cortical(glutamatergic and GABAergic)neurons,rather than astrocytes,as the cellular source,the intracellular adenosine generation from AMPK-associated energy metabolism pathways(but not SAM-transmethylation or salvage purine pathways),and adenosine efflux mediated by equilibrative nucleoside transporter-2(ENT2)as the molecular pathway responsible for extracellular adenosine generation.Importantly,40 Hz(but not 20 and 80 Hz)light flickering for 30 min enhanced non-rapid eye movement(non-REM)and REM sleep for 2–3 h in mice.This somnogenic effect was abolished by ablation of V1(but not superior colliculus)neurons and by genetic deletion of the gene encoding ENT2(but not ENT1),but recaptured by chemogenetic inhibition of V1 neurons and by focal infusion of adenosine into V1 in a dose-dependent manner.Lastly,40 Hz light flickering for 30 min also promoted sleep in children with insomnia by decreasing sleep onset latency,increasing total sleep time,and reducing waking after sleep onset.Collectively,our findings establish the ENT2-mediated adenosine signaling in V1 as the neurochemical basis for 40 Hz flickering-induced sleep and unravel a novel and non-invasive treatment for insomnia,a condition that affects 20%of the world population.Xuzhao Zhou Yan He Tao Xu Zhaofa Wu Wei Guo Xi Xu Yuntao Liu Yi Zhang Huiping Shang Libin Huang Zhimo Yao Zewen Li Lingya Su Zhihui Li Tao Feng Shaomin Zhang Olivia Monteiro Rodrigo A.Cunha Zhi-Li Huang Kang Zhang Yulong Li Xiahong Cai Jia Qu Jiang-Fan Chen 2024Cell Research2024,34,3:0
19Alterative application of five anticonvulsants according to the half life for the treatment of status epilepticus in children with severe viral encephalitis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Traditional subhibernation therapy may easily cause complications, such as respiratory depression and hyportension because of application of chlorpromazine hydrochloride and promethazine in a large dosage. OBJECTIVE: To observe therapeutic effect of modified subhibernation therapy (alterative application of five anticonvulsants according to the half life) on status epilepticus in children with severe viral encephalitis (VE). DESIGN: Contrast observation. SETTING: Department of Pediatrics, the First Hospital of Jilin University. PARTICIPANTS: The participants in present study were 96 patients with severe viral encephalitis including 52 boys and 44 girls who received treatment in the Department of Pediatrics, the First Hospital of Jilin University from February 2000 to March 2006. All children met the diagnostic criteria of Zhufutong Practice Pediatrics (the seventh edition). Two weeks ago, they ever got upper respiratory infection or enteronitis and so on before the onset, spirit abnormal, behavior disorder, limbs act disorder, vomit, headache, convulsion, nervous system masculine signs such as limbs act disord, autonomic nerve damage manifestation, brain nerve palsy, dysreflexia, meningeal irritation sign, cerebrospinal fluid and electroencephalography (EEG) abnormity. All parents provided the confirmed consent. The patients were randomly divided into control group (n =40) and experimental group (n =56). METHODS: Patients in the control group received anticonvulsion, ice compress and routine treatment. The convulsion was treated with five drugs: 0.5 mg/kg wintermin and phenergan, respectively, 100 g/L chlorpromazine hydrochloride (0.5 mL/kg), 5 mg/kg luminal, 0.3 mg/kg ansiolin. When convulsion attacked, those five drugs were given alternatively; however, those were not given if the convulsion did not attack. Children in the experimental group were treated with improved subhibernation therapy based on routine treatment. The dosages of anticonvulsants were as the same as those in the control group. Based on the half life, every drug was alternated every 4-6 hours. In addition, anticonvulsants administrated for 2 successive days whether tic attacked or not. Then the hypnotic was removed gradually. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Therapeutic efficacy, time of disappeared clinical symptoms and physical sign, and security of administration. RESULTS: All the 96 patients were involved in the final analysis. ① Total effective rate and reliability: Total effective rate was higher in the treatment groups than the control group (χ2=5.871 7, P < 0.05). All patients did not have respiratory depression and side effects. ② Time of disappeared clinical symptoms and physical sign: Recovery time of convulsion, fever, headache and vomit was shorter in the treatment group than that in the control group, and there was significant difference (t =17.612 1-34.330 7, P < 0.05); in addition, symptoms of status epilepticus were relieved obviously. Meanwhile, recovery time of paralysis, coma and anepia was shorter in the treatment group than that in the control group, and there was significant difference (t =10.660 8-24.700 8, P < 0.05).
