| 3 | The interaction between grain boundary and tool geometry in nanocutting of a bi-crystal copper显示文摘Anisotropy is one central influencing factor on achievable ultimate machined surface integrity of metallic materials.Specifically,grain boundary has a strong impact on the deformation behaviour of polycrystalline materials and correlated material removal at the microscale.In the present work,we perform molecular dynamics simulations and experiments to elucidate the underlying grain boundaryassociated mechanisms and their correlations with machining results of a bi-crystal Cu under nanocutting using a Berkovich tool.Specifically,crystallographic orientations of simulated bi-crystal Cu with a misorientation angle of 44.1°are derived from electron backscatter diffraction characterization of utilized polycrystalline copper specimen.Simulation results reveal that blocking of dislocation motion at grain boundaries,absorption of dislocations by grain boundaries and dislocation nucleation from grain boundaries are operating deformation modes in nanocutting of the bi-crystal Cu.Furthermore,heterogeneous grain boundary-associated mechanisms in neighbouring grains lead to strong anisotropic machining behaviour in the vicinity of the grain boundary.Simulated machined surface morphology and machining force evolution in the vicinity of grain boundary qualitatively agree well with experimental results.It is also found that the geometry of Berkovich tool has a strong impact on grain boundary-associated mechanisms and resultant ploughing-induced surface pile-up phenomenon. | Zhanfeng Wang Tao Sun Haijun Zhang Guo Li Zengqiang Li Junjie Zhang Yongda Yan Alexander Hartmaier | 2019 | International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2019,1,4: | 2 |
| 4 | The Averaged-value Model of a Flexible Power Electronics Based Substation in Hybrid AC/DC Distribution Systems显示文摘The concept of a flexible power electronics substation(FPES)was first applied in the Zhangbei DC distribution network demonstration project.As a multi-port power electronics transformer(PET)with different AC and DC voltage levels,the FPES has adopted a novel topology integrating modular multilevel converter(MMC)and four-winding medium frequency transformer(FWMFT)based multiport DC-DC converter,which can significantly reduce capacitance in each sub-module(SM)of a MMC and also save space and cost.In this paper,in order to accelerate speed of electromagnetic transient(EMT)simulations of FPES based hybrid AC/DC distribution systems,an averaged-value model(AVM)is proposed for efficient and accurate representation of FPES.Assume that all SM capacitor voltages are perfectly balanced in the MMC,then the MMC behavior can be modeled using controlled voltage sources based on modulation voltages from control systems.In terms of the averaged current transfer characteristics among the windings of the FWMFT,we consider that all multiport DC-DC converters are controlled with the same dynamics,a lumped averaged model using controlled current and voltage sources has been developed for these four-port DC-DC converters connected to the upper or lower arms of the MMC.The presented FPES AVM model has been tested and validated by comparison with a detailed IGBT-based EMT model.Results show that the AVM is significantly more efficient while maintaining its accuracy in an EMT simulation. | Hong Liu Zhanfeng Deng Xialin Li Li Guo Di Huang Shouqiang Fu Xiangyu Chen Chengshan Wang | 2022 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,2: | 2 |

| 7 | Target alignment in the Shen-Guang Ⅱ Upgrade laser facility显示文摘The Shen-Guang II Upgrade(SG-Ⅱ-U) laser facility consists of eight high-power nanosecond laser beams and one shortpulse picosecond petawatt laser. It is designed for the study of inertial confinement fusion(ICF), especially for conducting fast ignition(FI) research in China and other basic science experiments. To perform FI successfully with hohlraum targets containing a golden cone, the long-pulse beam and cylindrical hohlraum as well as the short-pulse beam and cone target alignment must satisfy tight specifications(30 and 20 μm rms for each case). To explore new ICF ignition targets with six laser entrance holes(LEHs), a rotation sensor was adapted to meet the requirements of a three-dimensional target and correct beam alignment. In this paper, the strategy for aligning the nanosecond beam based on target alignment sensor(TAS) is introduced and improved to meet requirements of the picosecond lasers and the new six LEHs hohlraum targets in the SG-II-U facility. | 10 | Structural variation(SV)-based pan-genome and GWAS reveal the impacts of SVs on the speciation and diversification of allotetraploid cottons显示文摘Structural variations(SVs)have long been described as being involved in the origin,adaption,and domes-tication of species.However,the underlying genetic and genomic mechanisms are poorly understood.Here,we report a high-quality genome assembly of Gossypium barbadense acc.Tanguis,a landrace that is closely related to formation of extra-long-staple(ELS)cultivated cotton.An SV-based pan-genome(Pan-SV)was then constructed using a total of 182593 non-redundant SVs,including 2236 inversions,97398 insertions,and 82959 deletions from 11 assembled genomes of allopolyploid cotton.The utility of this Pan-sV was then demonstrated through population structure analysis and genome-wide association studies(GWASs).Using segregation mapping populations produced through crossing ELS cotton and the landrace along with an Sv-based GWAs,certain SVs responsible for speciation,domestication,and improvement in tetraploid cottons were identified.Importantly,some of the SVs presently identified as associated with the yield and fiber quality improvement had not been identified in previous SNP-based GWAS.In particular,a 9-bp insertion or deletion was found to associate with elimination of the interspecific reproductive isolation between Gossypium hirsutum and G.barbadense.Collectively,this study provides new insights into genome-wide,gene-scale SVs linked to important agronomic traits in a major crop spe-cies and highlights the importance of sVs during the speciation,domestication,and improvement of culti-vated crop species. | Shangkun Jin Zegang Han Yan Hu Zhanfeng Si Fan Dai Lu He Yu Cheng Yiqjan Li Ting Zhao Lei Fang Tianzhen Zhang | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,4: | 1 |

The design and performance of FOA in SG-II Upgrade laser facility are mainly introduced here. Due to the limited space and short focal length, a coaxial aspheric wedged focus lens is designed and applied in the FOA configuration. Then the ghost image analysis,the focus characteristic analysis, the B integral control design and the optomechanical design are carried out in the FOA design phase.
