1Preparation of high-purity monodisperse silica microspheres by the sol-gel method coupled with polymerization-induced colloid aggregation显示文摘Ultra-pure mesoporous silica microspheres with good monodispersity were synthesized in two steps:nanometer-sized silica sol was produced by the sol-gel process,then micrometer-sized silica microspheres were synthesized by polymerization-induced colloid aggregation of the silica sol.The total metal content of the microspheres was extremely low,which eliminated the tailing of chromatographic peaks by chelating reagents.The pore structure of the silica microspheres could be controlled by altering the sol-gel conditions.The silica microsphere particle size could be adjusted by using different polymerizationinduced colloid aggregation conditions.Beibei Zhao Yan Zhang Tao Tang Fengyun Wang Tong Li Qiyu Lu 2015Particuology2015,13,5:7
2Carbon and nitrogen isotopes analysis and sources of organic matter in the upper reaches of the Chaobai River near Beijing,China显示文摘The carbon and nitrogen isotopes in the surface sediments,plants,and soil in the upper reaches of the Chaobai River have been researched.The results showed 27.75‰-21.58‰ and 1.32‰-6.74‰ for carbon and nitrogen isotopic ratios in the surface sediments,respectively.The sources of sedimentary organic matter in this area are soil organic matter,aquatic vascular plants,and riverine plankton,respectively,and a significant contributor to sediment in the Chaohe River,the Baihe River,and the Miyun Reservoir areas is soil organic matter.Furthermore,part of sedimentary organic matter in the Miyun Reservoir is attributed to the input from the Chaohe River and the Baihe River,the other is from C4 vegetation growing around individual point stations at the Miyun Reservoir.Compared with the situation in Hebei Province,the contribution of soil organic matter decreased significantly and river plankton and aquatic vascular plants increased significantly in Beijing municipal areas.This study reveals that the source of organic matter has a close relationship with the soil erosion.LU FengYun LIU ZhuQing JI HongBing 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,2:6
3KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere as excellent electrocatalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+ redox couple for vanadium redox flow battery显示文摘In this paper,carbon microsphere prepared by hydrothermal treatment was activated by KHCO_3 at high temperature,and employed as the catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB).Carbon microsphere can be etched by KHCO_3 due to the reaction between the pyrolysis products of KHCO_3 and carbon atoms.Moreover,KHCO_3 activation can bring many oxygen functional groups on carbon microsphere,further improving the wettability of catalyst and increasing the active sites.The electrocatalytic properties of carbon microsphere from hydrothermal treatment are improved by high temperature carbonization,and can further be enhanced by KHCO_3 activation.Among carbon microsphere samples,the VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction exhibits the highest electrochemical kinetics on KHCO_3 activated sample.The cell using KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere as the positive catalyst demonstrates higher energy efficiency and larger discharge capacity,especially at high current density.The results reveal that KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere is an efficient,low-cost carbon-based catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for VRFB system.Chen Zhao Yuehua Li Zhangxing He Yingqiao Jiang Lu Li Fengyun Jiang Huizhu Zhou Jing Zhu Wei Meng Ling Wang Lei Dai 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2:5

8Interleukin 35 protects cardiomyocytes following ischemia/reperfusion-induced apoptosis via activation of mitochondrial STAT3显示文摘Mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mtROS)-induced apoptosis has been suggested to contribute to myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury.Interleukin 35(IL-35),a novel anti-inflammatory cytokine,has been shown to protect the myocardium and inhibit mtROS production.However,its effect on cardiomyocytes upon exposure to hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)damage has not yet been elucidated.The present study aimed to investigate the potential protective role and underlying mechanisms of IL-35 in H/R-induced mouse neonatal cardiomyocyte injury.Mouse neonatal cardiomyocytes were challenged to H/R in the presence of IL-35,and we found that IL-35 dose dependently promotes cell viability,diminishes mtROS,maintains mitochondrial membrane potential,and decreases the number of apoptotic cardiomyocytes.Meanwhile,IL-35 remarkably activates mitochondrial STAT3(mitoSTAT3)signaling,inhibits cytochrome c release,and reduces apoptosis signaling.Furthermore,co-treatment of the cardiomyocytes with the STAT3 inhibitor AG490 abrogates the IL-35-induced cardioprotective effects.Our study identified the protective role of IL-35 in cardiomyocytes following H/R damage and revealed that IL-35 protects cardiomyocytes against mtROS-induced apoptosis through the mitoSTAT3 signaling pathway during H/R.Fengyun Zhou Ting Feng Xiangqi Lu Huicheng Wang Yangping Chen Qiuxia Zhang Xinlu Zhang Jiancheng Xiu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,4:0
