| 1 | Organochlorine pesticides and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water and sediment of the Bosten Lake,Northwest China显示文摘We evaluated organic pollution in Bosten Lake, Xinjiang, China, by measuring the concentrations and distributions of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs). Water and sediment samples were collected from 19 sites(B1–B19) in the lake for analysis. Our analytical results show that the concentrations of total OCPs in water ranges from 30.3 to 91.6 ng/L and the concentrations of PAHs ranges from undetectable(ND) to 368.7 ng/L. The concentrations of total OCPs in surface(i.e., lake bottom) sediment ranges from 6.9 to 16.7 ng/g and the concentrations of PAHs ranges from 25.2 to 491.0 ng/g. Hexachlorocyclohexanes(HCHs) and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes(DDTs) account for large proportions of the OCPs. Low α- to γ-HCH ratios in both water and sediment samples indicate possible contributions from both industrial products and lindane. DDTs in water are probably from historical input, whereas DDTs in sediments are from both historical and recent inputs. Moreover, DDT products in both water and sediments were from multiple sources in the northwestern part of the lake(B11, B12, B13, and B14). Fugacity ratios for DDT isomers(p,p′-DDE and p,p′-DDT) at these sites were generally higher than equilibrium values. These results suggest that the input from the Kaidu River and diffusion of DDTs from the sediment to the water are responsible for DDT pollution in the water. Lower-molecular-weight PAHs, which originate primarily from wood and coal combustion and petroleum sources, represent the major fraction of the PAHs in both water and sediment samples. Our findings indicate that OCPs and PAHs in Bosten Lake can be attributed primarily to human activities. | 3 | Graphitic carbon nitride/biochar composite synthesized by a facile ball-milling method for the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of enrofloxacin显示文摘In order to enhance the removal performance of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4)) on organic pollutant, a simultaneous process of adsorption and photocatalysis was achieved via the compounding of biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4). In this study, g-C_(3)N_(4) was obtained by a condensation reaction of melamine at 550 °C. Then the g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar composites were synthesized by ball milling biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4) together, which was considered as a simple, economical, and green strategy. The characterization of resulting g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar suggested that biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4) achieved effective linkage. The adsorption and photocatalytic performance of the composites were evaluated with enrofloxacin(EFA) as a model pollutant. The result showed that all the g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar composites displayed higher adsorption and photocatalytic performance to EFA than that of pure g-C_(3)N_(4). The 50% g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar performed best and removed 45.2% and 81.1% of EFA(10 mg/L) under darkness and light with a dosage of 1 mg/mL, while g-C_(3)N_(4) were 19.0% and 27.3%, respectively. Besides, 50% g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar showed the highest total organic carbon(TOC) removal efficiency(65.9%). Radical trapping experiments suggested that superoxide radical( ·O_(2)^(-)) and hole(h~+) were the main active species in the photocatalytic process. | 4 | 小鼠骨骼肌挫伤后基因表达的时间进程(英文)显示文摘Background:Though the mechanisms of skeletal muscle regeneration are deeply understood,those involved in muscle contusion,one of the most common muscle injuries in sports medicine clinics,are not.The objective of this study is to explore the mechanisms involved in muscle regeneration after contusion injury.Methods:In this study,a total of 72 mice were used.Eight of them were randomly chosen for the control group,while the rest were subjected to muscle contusion.Subsequently,their gastrocnemius muscles were harvested at different time points.The changes in muscle morphology were assessed by hematoxylin and eosin(HE) stain.In addition,the gene expression was analyzed by real-time polymerase chain reaction.Results:The data showed that the expression of many genes,i.e.,specific markers of immune cells and satellite cells,regulatory factors for muscle regeneration,cytokines,and chemokines,increased in the early stages of recovery,especially in the first 3 days.Furthermore,there were strict rules in the expression of these genes.However,almost all the genes returned to normal at 14 days post-injury.Conclusion:The sequence of immune cells invaded after muscle contusion was neutrophils,M1 macrophages and M2 macrophages.Some CC(CCL2,CCL3,and CCL4) and CXC(CXCL10) chemokines may be involved in the chemotaxis of these immune cells.HGF may be the primary factor to activate the satellite cells after muscle contusion.Moreover,2 weeks are needed to recover when acute contusion happens as used in this study. | Weihua Xiao Yu Liu Beibei Luo Linlin Zhao Xiaoguang Liu Zhigang Zeng Peijie Chen | 2016 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2016,5,1: | 8 |

| 7 | Health risk assessment of dietary exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in Taiyuan, China显示文摘Sixteen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) were determined in 24 duplicate-diet samples from people in Taiyuan during summer and winter in 2009. Dietary intake of PAHs for 2862 participants was subsequently estimated by a survey in Taiyuan. Results from these 24 samples were compared with a raw food study in Taiyuan in 2008. Three main sources of dietary PAHs are vegetables, wheat flour and fruits, the sum of which contributes 75.95% of PAHs in dietary food. Compared to the estimated value in raw food, much more B[a]Peq(benzo[a]pyrene equivalents) were detected in food samples collected in the duplicate-diet study in Taiyuan(60.75 ng/day). | 8 | Bacillus cereus AR156 primes induced systemic resistance by suppressing miR825/825 and activating defense-related genes in Arabidopsis显示文摘Small RNAs play an important role in plant immune responses. However, their regulatory function in induced systemic resistance(ISR) is nascent. Bacillus cereus AR156 is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium that induces ISR in Arabidopsis against bacterial infection. Here,by comparing small RNA profiles of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato(Pst) DC3000-infected Arabidopsis with and without AR156 pretreatment, we identified a group of Arabidopsis micro RNAs(mi RNAs) that are differentially regulated by AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 and mi R825 are two mi RNA generated from a single mi RNA gene.Northern blot analysis indicated that they were significantly downregulated in Pst DC3000-infected plants pretreated with AR156, in contrast to the plants without AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 targets two ubiquitin-protein ligases,while mi R825 targets toll-interleukin-like receptor(TIR)-nucleotide binding site(NBS) and leucine-rich repeat(LRR)type resistance(R) genes. The expression of these target genes negatively correlated with the expression of mi R825 and mi R825. Moreover, transgenic plants showing reduced expression of mi R825 and mi R825 displayed enhanced resistance to Pst DC3000 infection, whereas transgenic plants overexpressing mi R825 and mi R825 were more susceptible. | 12 | Light weight, mechanically strong and biocompatible α-chitin aerogels from different aqueous alkali hydroxide/urea solutions显示文摘Light weight and mechanically strong α-chitin aerogels were fabricated using the sol-gel/self-assembly method from α-chitin in different aqueous alkali hydroxide(KOH, Na OH and Li OH)/urea solutions. All of the α-chitin solutions exhibited temperature-induced rapid gelation behavior. 13 C nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectra revealed that the aqueous alkali hydroxide/urea solutions are non-derivatizing solvents for α-chitin. Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and cross-polarization magic angle spinning(CP/MAS) 13 C NMR confirmed that α-chitin has a stable aggregate structure after undergoing dissolution and regeneration. Subsequently, nanostructured α-chitin aerogels were fabricated by regeneration from the chitin solutions in ethanol and then freeze-drying from t-Bu OH. These α-chitin aerogels exhibited high porosity(87% to 94%), low density(0.09 to 0.19 g/cm^3), high specific surface area(419 to 535 m^2/g) and large pore volume(2.7 to 3.8 cm^3/g). Moreover, the α-chitin aerogels exhibited good mechanical properties under compression and tension models. In vitro studies showed that m BMSCs cultured on chitin hydrogels have good biocompatibility. | 13 | Development and Application of an Extraction and Quantitative HPLC Method for Sulforaphene in Radish显示文摘Sulforaphene, an isothiocyanate generated by the conversion of glucoraphenin in radish(Raphanus sativus L.), plays an important role in plants as a defensive compound and has been shown to have anti-cancer properties. However, a reliable method for the determination of sulforaphene in radish has not yet been established. In the present study, the enzymolysis conditions, extraction solvent and extraction conditions employed to obtain sulforaphene from radish were all optimized using single factor experiments and orthogonal testing. During these trials, sulforaphene was separated and quantified using reverse phase C18 high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC), employing methanol︰water(3︰7 ν/ν) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.3 mL · min-1 together with a detection wavelength of 245 nm. Evaluation of this newly established method showed good linearity between the sulforaphene concentration and the characteristic peak area over the range of 5 to 200 μg· m L-1(R2 = 0.9996). This method was thus found to be precise. It was established that sulforaphene was extracted from radish with 95.48% efficiency(RSD = 0.94%) using the optimized conditions. | 15 | Convergence analysis of the formal energies of symplectic methods for Hamiltonian systems显示文摘Based on Feng's theory of formal vector fields and formal flows, we study the convergence problem of the formal energies of symplectic methods for Hamiltonian systems and give the clear growth of the coefficients in the formal energies. With the help of B-series and Bernoulli functions, we prove that in the formal energy of the mid-point rule, the coefficient sequence of the merging products of an arbitrarily given rooted tree and the bushy trees of height 1(whose subtrees are vertices), approaches 0 as the number of branches goes to ∞; in the opposite direction, the coefficient sequence of the bushy trees of height m(m ≥ 2), whose subtrees are all tall trees, approaches ∞ at large speed as the number of branches goes to +∞. The conclusion extends successfully to the modified differential equations of other Runge-Kutta methods. | 18 | Imitation of Fabric Flagging in the Wind with 1/F~β Noise显示文摘This paper presents a dynamic simulation model,based on noise,to simulate fabric flagging in the wind.The wind noise is generated by two sine functions defined in advance.The frequencies and amplitudes of these sine functions are change- able to presenting the basic model of the fabric.In order to obtain more fabric fluctuant effect,we adopt a cosine function to achieve the fabric dynamic display effect.In the actual process,the traditional Phong illumination model is improved.Therefore, the model of simulating fabric flagging in the wind can be built successfully.Comparison with the physical model shows that it is a fast arithmetic because of adopting a new model in stead of the time consuming iteration arithmetic.It can achieve a friendly de- sign interface and an ideal simulation effect.Designers can select wind force and fabric material by controlling different parame- ters.The basic characteristics of fabric swaying in the wind are simulated efficiently and displayed vividly. | LI Beibei ZHAO Zhihong GENG Zhaofeng (Information Institute,DongHua University,Shanghai 200051,China, | 2006 | 武汉理工大学学报2006,28,S2: | 1 |
| 19 | Orchestrating antigen delivery and presentation efficiency in lymph node by nanoparticle shape for immune response显示文摘Activating humoral and cellular immunity in lymph nodes(LNs)of nanoparticle-based vaccines is critical to controlling tumors.However,how the physical properties of nanovaccine carriers orchestrate antigen capture,lymphatic delivery,antigen presentation and immune response in LNs is largely unclear.Here,we manufactured gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)with the same size but different shapes(cages,rods,and stars),and loaded tumor antigen as nanovaccines to explore their disparate characters on above four areas.Results revealed that star-shaped AuNPs captured and retained more repetitive antigen epitopes.On lymphatic delivery,both rods and star-shaped nanovaccines mainly drain into the LN follicles region while cage-shaped showed stronger paracortex retention.A surprising finding is that the star-shaped nanovaccines elicited potent humoral immunity,which is mediated by CD4^(+)T helper cell and follicle B cell cooperation significantly preventing tumor growth in the prophylactic study.Interestingly,cage-shaped nanovaccines preferentially presented peptide-MHC I complexes to evoke robust CD8^(+)T cell immunity and showed the strongest therapeutic efficacy when combined with the PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor in established tumor study.These results highlight the importance of nanoparticle shape on antigen delivery and presentation for immune response in LNs,and our findings support the notion that different design strategies are required for prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines. | Hongjuan Zhao Yatong Li Beibei Zhao Cuixia Zheng Mengya Niu Qingling Song Xinxin Liu Qianhua Feng Zhenzhong Zhang Lei Wang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,9: | 1 |
| 20 | Genome-wide signatures of the geographic expansion and breeding of soybean显示文摘Soybean is a leguminous crop that provides oil and protein. Exploring the genomic signatures of soybean evolution is crucial for breeding varieties with improved adaptability to environmental extremes. We analyzed the genome sequences of 2,214 soybeans and proposed a soybean evolutionary route, i.e., the expansion of annual wild soybean(Glycine soja Sieb. & Zucc.) from southern China and its domestication in central China, followed by the expansion and local breeding selection of its landraces(G. max(L.) Merr.). We observed that the genetic introgression in soybean landraces was mostly derived from sympatric rather than allopatric wild populations during the geographic expansion. Soybean expansion and breeding were accompanied by the positive selection of flowering time genes, including GmSPA3c.
