ZIKA virus isolated from mosquitoes:a field and laboratory investigation in China,2016显示文摘A field investigation of arboviruses was conducted in Dejiang, Guizhou Province in the summer of 2016. A total of 8,795 mosquitoes, belonging to four species of three genera, and 1,300 midges were collected. The mosquito samples were identified on site according to their morphology, and the pooled samples were ground and centrifuged in the laboratory. The supernatant was incubated with mosquito tissue culture cells(C6/36) and mammalian cells(BHK-21) for virus isolation. The results indicated that 40%(3,540/8,795) were Anopheles sinensis, 30%(2,700/8,795) were Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus, and 29%(2,530/8,795)were Armigeres subbalbeatus. Furthermore, a total of eight virus isolates were obtained, and genome sequencing revealed two Zika viruses(ZIKVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Armigeres subbalbeatus, respectively; three Japanese encephalitis viruses(JEVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus; two Banna viruses(BAVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Anopheles sinensis, respectively; and one densovirus(DNV) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus. The ZIKVs isolated from the Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Armigeres subbalbeatus mosquitoes represent the first ZIKV isolates in China's Mainland. This discovery presents new challenges for the prevention and control of ZIKV in China, and prompts international cooperation on this global issue. | Shihong Fu Song Song Hong Liu Yuanyuan Li Xiaolong Li Xiaoyan Gao Ziqian Xu Guoping Liu Dingming Wang Zhenzao Tian Jingzhu Zhou Ying He Wenwen Lei Huanyu Wang Bin Wang Xiaoqing Lu Guodong Liang | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,12: | 25
Simultaneous virus identification and characterization of severe unexplained pneumonia cases using a metagenomics sequencing technique显示文摘Many viruses can cause respiratory diseases in humans.Although great advances have been achieved in methods of diagnosis,it remains challenging to identify pathogens in unexplained pneumonia(UP) cases. In this study,we applied next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology and a metagenomic approach to detect and characterize respiratory viruses in UP cases from Guizhou Province,China.A total of 33 oropharyngeal swabs were obtained from hospitalized UP patients and subjected to NGS.An unbiased metagenomic analysis pipeline identified 13 virus species in 16 samples.Human rhinovirus C was the virus most frequently detected and was identified in seven samples.Human measles virus, adenovirus B 55 and coxsackievirus A10 were also identified.Metagenomic sequencing also provided virus genomic sequences, which enabled genotype characterization and phylogenetic analysis. For cases of multiple infection, metagenomic sequencing afforded information regarding the quantity of each virus in the sample, which could be used to evaluate each viruses' role in the disease. Our study highlights the potential of metagenomic sequencing for pathogen identification in UP cases. | Xiaohui Zou Guangpeng Tang Xiang Zhao Yan Huang Tao Chen Mingyu Lei Wenbing Chen Lei Yang Wenfei Zhu Li Zhuang Jing Yang Zhaomin Feng Dayan Wang Dingming Wang Yuelong Shu | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3: | 14

Expert consensus on regenerative endodontic procedures显示文摘Regenerative endodontic procedures(REPs)is a biologic-based treatment modality for immature permanent teeth diagnosed with pulp necrosis. The ultimate objective of REPs is to regenerate the pulp-dentin complex, extend the tooth longevity and restore the normal function.Scientific evidence has demonstrated the efficacy of REPs in promotion of root development through case reports, case series, cohort studies, and randomized controlled studies. However, variations in clinical protocols for REPs exist due to the empirical nature of the original protocols and rapid advancements in the research field of regenerative endodontics. The heterogeneity in protocols may cause confusion among dental practitioners, thus guidelines and considerations of REPs should be explicated. This expert consensus mainly discusses the biological foundation, the available clinical protocols and current status of REPs in treating immature teeth with pulp necrosis,as well as the main complications of this treatment, aiming at refining the clinical management of REPs in accordance with the progress of basic researches and clinical studies, suggesting REPs may become a more consistently evidence-based option in dental treatment. | Xi Wei Maobin Yang Lin Yue Dingming Huang Xuedong Zhou Xiaoyan Wang Qi Zhang Lihong Qiu Zhengwei Huang Hanguo Wang Liuyan Meng Hong Li Wenxia Chen Xiaoying Zou Junqi Ling | 2022 | International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,4: | 5
Berberine mediates root remodeling in an immature tooth with apical periodontitis by regulating stem cells from apical papilla differentiation显示文摘Once pulp necrosis or apical periodontitis occurs on immature teeth, the weak root and open root apex are challenging to clinicians.Berberine(BBR)is a potential medicine for bone disorders, therefore,we proposed to apply BBR in root canals to enhance root repair in immature teeth. An in vivo model of immature teeth with apical periodontitis was established in rats, and root canals were filled with BBR,calcium hydroxide or sterilized saline for 3 weeks. The shape of the roots was analyzed by micro-computed tomography and histological staining. In vitro,BBR was introduced into stem cells from apical papilla(SCAPs).Osteogenic differentiation of stem cells from apical papilla was investigated by alkaline phosphatase activity, mineralization ability, and gene expression of osteogenic makers. The signaling pathway, which regulated the osteogenesis of SCAPs was evaluated by quantitative real time PCR,Western blot analysis, and immunofluorescence. In rats treated with BBR,more tissue was formed, with longer roots, thicker root walls, and smaller apex diameters. In addition,we found that BBR promoted SCAPs osteogenesis in a time-dependent and concentration-dependent manner.BBR induced the expression ofβ-catenin and enhancedβ-catenin entering into the nucleus,to up-regulate more runt-related nuclear factor 2 downstream.BBR enhanced root repair in immature teeth with apical periodontitis by activating the canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway in SCAPs. | Yujia Cui Jing Xie Yujie Fu Chuwen Li Liwei Zheng Dingming Huang Changchun Zhou Jianxun Sun Xuedong Zhou | 2020 | International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,2: | 5
Study on estimate method of wave velocity and quality fac-tor to fault seals显示文摘Based on ultrasonic test of fault rocks, the re-sponses for wave velocity and quality factor (Q value) to lithology, porosity and permeability of fault rocks and me-chanical property of faults are studied. In this paper, a new quantitative estimate method of fault seals is originally of-fered. The conclusions are as follows: (1) Wave velocity and Q value increase and porosity decreases with the increase in stress perpendicular to joint; (2) In compressive and com-presso-shear fault rocks that are obviously anisotropic com-pared with their original rocks, the wave velocity and Q value are greater in the direction parallel with foliation, and usually less perpendicular to it. In tensile and tenso-shear fault rocks that are not obviously anisotropic, the wave ve-locity and Q value are under that of original rocks; (3) In foliated fault rocks, the direction with minimal wave velocity and Q value is the best direction for sealing; on the contrary it is the best for flowing; (4) Structural factures develop mainly along foliation, the minimal wave velocity and Q value reflect the flowing capacity in parallel direction to fo-liation, and the maximal wave velocity as well as Q value reflect the sealing capacity in normal direction to foliation. The new estimate method is based upon contrast of wave velocity and Q value between fault rocks and their original rocks, and is divided into three parts that are respectively to identify rock’s lithology, to judge mechanic property of faults and to Judge sealing capacity of faults. Although there is vast scale effect between ultrasonic wave and seismic wave, they have similar regularity of response to fabric and porosity of faults. This research offers new application for seismic data and petrophysical basis for seismological estimation of fault seals. The estimate precision will be improved with the en-hancement of three-dimensional seismic prospecting work. | LI Zhensheng LIU Deliang LIU Bo YANG Qiang LI dingming | 2005 | Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,19: | 4
NUMB maintains bone mass by promoting degradation of PTEN and GLI1 via ubiquitination in osteoblasts显示文摘The adaptor protein NUMB is involved in asymmetric division and cell fate determination and recognized as an antagonist of Notch.Previous studies have proved that Notch activation in osteoblasts contributes to a high bone mass. In this study, however, an osteopenic phenotype was found in 9-week-old mice using osteoblastic specific Col1a1–2.3-Cre to ablate both Numb and its homologue Numbl. The trabecular bone mass decreased dramatically while the cortical bone mass was unaffected. Here, the Notch signal was not activated, while the tensin homologue deleted on human chromosome 10(PTEN), which dephosphorylates phosphatidylinositide 3-kinases, was elevated, attenuating protein kinase B(Akt). The ubiquitination assay revealed that NUMB may physiologically promote PTEN ubiquitination in the presence of neural precursor cell-expressed developmentally downregulated protein 4–1. In addition, the deficiency of Numb/Numbl also activated the Hedgehog pathway through GLI1. This process was found to improve the ratio of the receptor activator of nuclear factor-k B ligand to osteoprotegerin, which enhanced the differentiation of osteoclasts and bone resorption. In conclusion, this study provides an insight into new functons of NUMB and NUMBL on bone homeostasis. | Ling Ye Feng Lou Fanyuan Yu Demao Zhang Chenglin Wang Fanzi Wu Xin Li Yilin Ping Xiao Yang Jing Yang Dian Chen Bo Gao Dingming Huang Peng Liu | 2018 | Bone Research2018,6,4: | 3
Recent progress on electrolyte functional additives for protection of nickel-rich layered oxide cathode materials显示文摘In advantages of their high capacity and high operating voltage, the nickel(Ni)-rich layered transition metal oxide cathode materials(LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2)(NCMxyz,x+y+z=1,x≥0.5)and LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_(2)(NCA))have been arousing great interests to improve the energy density of LIBs.However, these Nirich cathodes always suffer from rapid capacity degradation induced by unstable cathode-electrolyte interphase(CEI)layer and destruction of bulk crystal structure. Therefore, varied electrode/electrolyte interface engineering strategies(such as electrolyte formulation, material coating or doping)have been developed for Ni-rich cathodes protection.Among them, developing electrolyte functional additives has been proven to be a simple, effective, and economic method to improve the cycling stability of Nirich cathodes. This is achieved by removing unfavorable species(such as HF,H_(2)O)or constructing a stable and protective CEI layer against unfavorable reactive species(such as HF,H_(2)O).Herein,this review mainly introduces the varied classes of electrolyte functional additives and their working mechanism for interfacial engineering of Ni-rich cathodes.Especially, key favorable species for stabilizing CEI layer are summarized.More importantly,we put forward perspectives for screening and customizing ideal functional additives for high performance Ni-rich cathodes based LIBs. | Longshan Li Dingming Wang Gaojie Xu Qian Zhou Jun Ma Jianjun Zhang Aobing Du Zili Cui Xinhong Zhou Guanglei Cui | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 1
Designing new work-hardenable ductile Ti-based multilayered bulk metallic glass composites with ex-situ and in-situ hybrid strategy显示文摘To overcome the trade-off between the devisable micro structure and the excellent tensile ductility of bulk metallic glass composites(BMGCs),a novel ex-situ and in-situ hybrid strategy is successfully proposed to design a series of the work-hardenable ductile Ti-based multilayered BMGCs(ML-BMGCs).The asprepared ML-BMGCs,consisting of α-phases,β-phases and amorphous phases, exhibit a controllable multilayered structure of the Ti layers and the amorphous layers with alternative distribution. The size and volume fraction of the crystalline phases are tuned by Nb microalloying. It is found that the ML-BMGCs possess a suitable size and volume fraction of the crystalline phases when Nb microalloying content are5%(at.) or 8%(at.),and they obtain an optimum combination of the specific strength of 243 MPa g kg-1 or 216 MPa g kg-1,and tensile plasticity of 4.33%±0.1 % or 5.10%±0.1%.The deformation mechanism of the as-prepared ML-BMGCs during tension is also revealed. The ex-situ Ti layers and in-situ dendrites together effectively serve as absorbers to suppress the propagation of shear bands and multiply shear bands. And the defo rmation of ex-situ α-Ti phases by dislocation slip and the transformation from in-situ metastable β-Ti phase to orthorhombic α-Ti during tension impart significant work-hardening capability to the ML-B MGCs.The present study provides a guidance of developing novel high-performance BMGCs with a controllable micro structure. | Shifeng Lin Zhengwang Zhu Shaofan Ge Long Zhang Dingming Liu Yanxin Zhuang Huameng Fu Hong Li Aimin Wang Haifeng Zhang | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15: | 1

Identification of traits and genes associated with lodging resistance in maize显示文摘Lodging is a major problem limiting maize yield worldwide. However, the mechanisms of lodging resistance remain incompletely understood for maize. Here, we evaluated 443 maize accessions for lodging resistance in the field. Five lodging-resistant accessions and five lodging-sensitive accessions were selected for further research. The leaf number, plant height, stem diameter, and rind penetrometer resistance were similar between lodging-resistant and-sensitive inbred lines. The average thickness of sclerenchymatous hypodermis layer was thicker and the vascular area was larger in the lodging-resistant lines compared with lodging-sensitive lines. Although total lignin content in stem tissue did not significantly differ between lodging-resistant and-sensitive lines, phloroglucinol staining revealed that the lignin content of the cell wall in the stem cortex and in the stem vascular tissue near the cortex was higher in the lodging-resistant lines than in the lodging-sensitive lines. Analysis of strand-specific RNA-seq transcriptome showed that a total of 793 genes were up-regulated and 713 genes were down-regulated in lodging-resistant lines relative to lodging-sensitive lines. The up-regulated genes in lodging-resistant lines were enriched in cell wall biogenesis. These results indicated that modification of cell wall biosynthesis would contribute to lodging resistance of maize. | Yu Guo Yumei Hu Huan Chen Pengshuai Yan Qingguo Du Yafei Wang Hongqiu Wang Zhonghua Wang Dingming Kang Wen-Xue Li | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,6: | 1
HTPdb and HTPtools:Exploiting maize haplotypetag polymorphisms for germplasm resource analyses and genomics-informed breeding显示文摘Along with rapid advances in high-throughput-sequencing technology, the development and application of molecular markers has been critical for the progress that has been made in crop breeding and genetic research.Desirable molecular markers should be able to rapidly genotype tens of thousands of breeding accessions with tens to hundreds of markers. In this study,we developed a multiplex molecular marker, the haplotype-tag polymorphism(HTP),that integrates Maize6H-60K array data from 3,587 maize inbred lines with 6,375 blocks from the recombination block map. After applying strict filtering criteria,we obtained 6,163 highly polymorphic HTPs,which were evenly distributed in the genome.Furthermore,we developed a genome-wide HTP analysis toolkit,HTPtools, which we used to establish an HTP database(HTPdb)covering the whole genomes of 3,587 maize inbred lines commonly used in breeding.A total of 172,921 non-redundant HTP allelic variations were obtained.Three major HTPtools modules combine seven algorithms(e.g.,chain Bayes probability and the heterotic-pattern prediction algorithm)and a new plotting engine named“BCplot”that enables rapid visualization of the background information of multiple backcross groups.HTPtools was designed for big-data analyses such as complex pedigree reconstruction and maize heterotic-pattern prediction. The HTP-based analytical strategy and the toolkit developed in this study are applicable for high-throughput genotyping and for genetic mapping, germplasm resource analyses, and genomics-informed breeding in maize. | Yikun Zhao Hongli Tian Chunhui Li Hongmei Yi Yunlong Zhang Xiaohui Li Han Zhao Yongxue Huo Rui Wang Dingming Kang Yuncai Lu Zhihao Liu Ziyue Liang Liwen Xu Yang Yang Ling Zhou Tianyu Wang Jiuran Zhao Fengge Wang | 2022 | Plant Communications2022,3,4: | 0
Expert consensus on difficulty assessment of endodontic therapy显示文摘Endodontic diseases are a kind of chronic infectious oral disease. Common endodontic treatment concepts are based on the removal of inflamed or necrotic pulp tissue and the replacement by gutta-percha. However, it is very essential for endodontic treatment to debride the root canal system and prevent the root canal system from bacterial reinfection after root canal therapy(RCT). Recent research, encompassing bacterial etiology and advanced imaging techniques, contributes to our understanding of the root canal system’s anatomy intricacies and the technique sensitivity of RCT. Success in RCT hinges on factors like patients, infection severity, root canal anatomy, and treatment techniques. Therefore, improving disease management is a key issue to combat endodontic diseases and cure periapical lesions. The clinical difficulty assessment system of RCT is established based on patient conditions, tooth conditions, root canal configuration, and root canal needing retreatment, and emphasizes pre-treatment risk assessment for optimal outcomes. The findings suggest that the presence of risk factors may correlate with the challenge of achieving the high standard required for RCT. These insights contribute not only to improve education but also aid practitioners in treatment planning and referral decision-making within the field of endodontics. | Dingming Huang Xiaoyan Wang Jingping Liang Junqi Ling Zhuan Bian Qing Yu Benxiang Hou Xinmei Chen Jiyao Li Ling Ye Lei Cheng Xin Xu Tao Hu Hongkun Wu Bin Guo Qin Su Zhi Chen Lihong Qiu Wenxia Chen Xi Wei Zhengwei Huang Jinhua Yu Zhengmei Lin Qi Zhang Deqin Yang Jin Zhao Shuang Pan Jian Yang Jiayuan Wu Yihuai Pan Xiaoli Xie Shuli Deng Xiaojing Huang Lan Zhang Lin Yue Xuedong Zhou | 2024 | International Journal of Oral Science2024,16,1: | 0
