| 3 | Uncertainty analysis of correlated non-normal geotechnical parameters using Gaussian copula显示文摘Determining the joint probability distribution of correlated non-normal geotechnical parameters based on incomplete statistical data is a challenging problem.This paper proposes a Gaussian copula-based method for modelling the joint probability distribution of bivariate uncertain data.First,the concepts of Pearson and Kendall correlation coefficients are presented,and the copula theory is briefly introduced.Thereafter,a Pearson method and a Kendall method are developed to determine the copula parameter underlying Gaussian copula.Second,these two methods are compared in computational efficiency,applicability,and capability of fitting data.Finally,four load-test datasets of load-displacement curves of piles are used to illustrate the proposed method.The results indicate that the proposed Gaussian copula-based method can not only characterize the correlation between geotechnical parameters,but also construct the joint probability distribution function of correlated non-normal geotechnical parameters in a more general way.It can serve as a general tool to construct the joint probability distribution of correlated geotechnical parameters based on incomplete data.The Gaussian copula using the Kendall method is superior to that using the Pearson method,which should be recommended for modelling and simulating the joint probability distribution of correlated geotechnical parameters.There exists a strong negative correlation between the two parameters underlying load-displacement curves.Neglecting such correlation will not capture the scatter in the measured load-displacement curves.These results substantially extend the application of the copula theory to multivariate simulation in geotechnical engineering. | LI DianQing TANG XiaoSong ZHOU ChuangBing PHOON Kok-Kwang | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,11: | 10 |

| 5 | Endothelial CDS2 deficiency causes VEGFA-mediated vascular regression and tumor inhibition显示文摘The response of endothelial cells to signaling stimulation is critical for vascular morphogenesis,homeostasis and function.Vascular endothelial growth factor-a(VEGFA)has been commonly recognized as a pro-angiogenic factor in vertebrate developmental,physiological and pathological conditions for decades.Here we report a novel finding that genetic ablation of CDP-diacylglycerol synthetase-2(CDS2),a metabolic enzyme that controls phosphoinositide recycling,switches the output of VEGFA signaling from promoting angiogenesis to unexpectedly inducing vessel regression.Live imaging analysis uncovered the presence of reverse migration of the angiogenic endothelium in cds2 mutant zebrafish upon VEGFA stimulation,and endothelium regression also occurred in postnatal retina and implanted tumor models in mice.In tumor models,CDS2 deficiency enhanced the level of tumorsecreted VEGFA,which in-turn trapped tumors into a VEGFA-induced vessel regression situation,leading to suppression of tumor growth.Mechanistically,VEGFA stimulation reduced phosphatidylinositol(4,5)-bisphosphate(PIP2)availability in the absence of CDS2-controlled-phosphoinositide metabolism,subsequently causing phosphatidylinositol(3,4,5)-triphosphate(PIP3)deficiency and F0X01 activation to trigger regression of CDS2-null endothelium.Thus,our data indicate that the effect of VEGFA on vasculature is context-dependent and can be converted from angiogenesis to vascular regression. | Wencao Zhao Le Cao Hanru Ying Wenjuan Zhang Dantong Li Xiaolong Ziiu Wenzhi Xue Shuang Wu Mengye Cao Cong Fu Haonan Qi Yimei Hao Yun-Chi Tang Jun Qin Tao PZhong Xiaoxi Lin Luyang Yu Xuri Li Lin Li Dianqing Wu Weijun Pan | 2019 | Cell Research2019,29,11: | 9 |

| 7 | Synthesis of hexaaluminate catalysts for methane combustion by reverse microemulsion medium显示文摘The aim of this study is to synthesize the catalysts of Fe-and Mn-substituted hexaaluminate by reverse microemulsion medium for methane catalytic combustion application.Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams in quaternary microemulsion systems of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),n-butanol,n-octane,and water [or Al(NO3)3 solution] were presented.The effects of the alcohol chain length,ratio of sur-factant to cosurfactant,and salt concentration on the formation and stability of microemulsion systems were studied.The phase behavior of microemulsion systems was confirmed through the varying of the conductivity with the water content.The performance and structure of the catalysts,La(Mnx/Fex)Al12-x-O19-δ synthesized with the optimal parameter in the phase diagrams of microemulsions systems were characterized by BET,TG-DTA,and XRD.The micro fix-bed reactor was used to measure the catalytic activities of catalysts to methane combustion.The results showed that this synthesis method could yield non-agglomerated and highly dispersed precursors that would undergo crystallization at the lower temperature of 950℃.When temperature was raised up to 1050℃,the complete crystalline La-hexaaluminate was shaped.The hexaaluminate substituted with Fe had high-catalytic activity and stability at high temperature,while the Mn-substituted had higher catalytic activity at lower temperature.When the cooperation of Fe and Mn occurred,i.e.,LaFeMnAl10O19-δ exhibited a high surface area and catalytic activity to CH4 combustion,the CH4 light-off temperature was only 475℃ and the complete combustion temperature was 660℃.This was attributed to the synergistic effect between Fe and Mn. | BAI ShouLi WANG LiangShi SHI BingJie YANG PengCheng CUI MeiSheng LONG ZhiQi LI DianQing CHEN AiFan | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,1: | 6 |

The reactions were carried out under hydrothermal conditions in either a high pressure autoclave or a microwave digester. The compositions, structural parameters and thermal behavior of the resulting LDHs are very similar to those of materials produced by using the separate nucleation and aging steps (SNAS) method. The major advantage of the new method is that no by-product is produced, so that filtration and washing processes are unnecessary. | 10 | Preparation and characterization of spherical mesoporous ZrO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3) composites with high thermal stability显示文摘Spherical mesoporous ZrO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3) composites containing different zirconia content have been synthesized by an oil-column sol-gel method.A mixed alumina-zirconia hydrosol and hexamethylenetetramine solution were mixed together and added dropwise into a hot oil column.Due to the surface tension,spherical gel particles were formed in the oil column.The spherical gel particles were then aged and washed by deionized water and dried at 120 ℃ for 12 h and then calcined at 600 ℃ for 8 h,960 ℃ for 8 h or 1200 ℃ for 12 h.X-ray diffraction and nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements indicated that the presence of zirconia prevents the sintering of alumina and the obtained ZrO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3) composites have much larger surface areas than pure alumina.Temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia results illustrated that the addition of zirconia leads to an increase in the number of strong acid sites and the total number of acid sites compared with pure alumina.Thus,the spherical mesoporous ZrO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3) composites prepared in this way were shown to be suitable for high temperature catalytic processes as a catalyst support. | LI Yang FENG JunTing LI DianQing | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,7: | 2 |
