| 5 | Interactive labelling of a multivariate dataset for supervised machine learning using linked visualisations,clustering,and active learning显示文摘Supervised machine learning techniques require labelled multivariate training datasets.Many approaches address the issue of unlabelled datasets by tightly coupling machine learning algorithms with interactive visualisations.Using appropriate techniques,analysts can play an active role in a highly interactive and iterative machine learning process to label the dataset and create meaningful partitions.While this principle has been implemented either for unsupervised,semi-supervised,or supervised machine learning tasks,the combination of all three methodologies remains challenging.In this paper,a visual analytics approach is presented,combining a variety of machine learning capabilities with four linked visualisation views,all integrated within the mVis(multivariate Visualiser)system.The available palette of techniques allows an analyst to perform exploratory data analysis on a multivariate dataset and divide it into meaningful labelled partitions,from which a classifier can be built.In the workflow,the analyst can label interesting patterns or outliers in a semi-supervised process supported by active learning.Once a dataset has been interactively labelled,the analyst can continue the workflow with supervised machine learning to assess to what degree the subsequent classifier has effectively learned the concepts expressed in the labelled training dataset.Using a novel technique called automatic dimension selection,interactions the analyst had with dimensions of the multivariate dataset are used to steer the machine learning algorithms.A real-world football dataset is used to show the utility of mVis for a series of analysis and labelling tasks,from initial labelling through iterations of data exploration,clustering,classification,and active learning to refine the named partitions,to finally producing a high-quality labelled training dataset suitable for training a classifier.The tool empowers the analyst with interactive visualisations including scatterplots,parallel coordinates,similarity maps for records,and a new similarity map for partitions. | Mohammad Chegini Jürgen Bernard Philip Berger Alexei Sourin Keith Andrews Tobias Schreck | 2019 | Visual Informatics2019，3，1： | 3 |

| 10 | Lymphoepithelial cysts and cystic lymphangiomas: Underrecognized benign cystic lesions of the pancreas显示文摘AIM: To identify their diagnostic and prognostic clinical characteristics in a large series.METHODS: Retrospective review of clinicopathologic and imaging characteristics of patients diagnosed with lymphoepithelial cysts and cystic lymphangiomas of the pancreas at Massachusetts General Hospital.RESULTS: Twelve patients were identified between 1/1/1997 and 8/1/2007. Their median age was 55.5 years(range 19-78 years), and 6 were females. The le-sion was incidentally discovered in half of the patients.Contrast enhanced computed tomography demonstrat-ed that the cysts had thin walls, without calcifications, pancreatic duct dilation or pancreatic parenchyma inva-sion. Endoscopic ultrasound with fine needle aspiration(EUS/FNA) confirmed the diagnosis of a lymphoepithe-lial cyst in 3 patients, one of whom was spared an op-eration and continues to do well after 6 years. Eleven patients had a resection: 3 pancreaticoduodenecto-mies, 7 distal pancreatectomies, and 1 enucleation. The median size of the cysts was 3 cm(range 2-20 cm). At a median follow-up of 57 mo no recurrences or other pancreas-related conditions occurred.CONCLUSION: Lymphoepithelial cysts and cystic lymphangiomas of the pancreas can be diagnosed with a combination of contrast-enhanced computed tomog-raphy scans and EUS/FNA. | 11 | Pancreaticopleuralfistula:etiology,treatmentandlong-termfollow-up显示文摘BACKGROUND:Pancreaticopleural fistula(PPF) are uncommon.Complex multidisciplinary treatment is required due to nutritional compromise and sepsis.This is the first description of long-term follow-up of patients with PPF.METHODS:Eleven patients with PPF treated at a specialist unit were identified.Causation,investigation,treatment and outcomes were recorded.RESULTS:Pancreatitis was the etiology of the PPF in 9 patients,and in the remaining 2 the PPF developed following distal pancreatectomy.Cross-sectional imaging demonstrated the site of duct disruption in 10 cases,with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography identifying the final case.Suppression of pancreatic exocrine secretion and percutaneous drainage formed the mainstay of treatment.Five cases resolved following pancreatic duct stent insertion and three patients required surgical treatment for established empyema.There were no complications.In all cases that resolved there has been no recurrence of PPF over a median follow-up of 50 months(range 15-62).CONCLUSIONS:PPF is an uncommon event complicating pancreatitis or pancreatectomy;pancreatic duct disruption is the common link.A step-up approach consisting of minimally invasive techniques treats the majority with surgery needed for refractory sepsis. | Keith J Roberts Maria Sheridan Gareth Morris-Stiff Andrew M Smith | 2012 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2012，11，2： | 2 |

| 16 | Lymphoepithelial cysts of the pancreas:a management dilemma显示文摘Pancreatic lymphoepithelial cysts(LECs) are rare,benign lesions that are typically unexpected post-operative pathological findings. We aimed to review clinical, radiological and pathological features of LECs that may allow their preoperative diagnosis. Histopathology databases of two large pancreatic units were searched to identify LECs and notes reviewed to determine patient demographic details, mode of presentation, investigations, treatment and outcome. Five male and one female patients were identified. Their median age was 60 years. Lesions were identified on computed tomography performed for abdominal pain in two patients, and were incidentally observed in four patients. Five LECs were located in the tail and one in the body of the pancreas, with a median cyst size of 5 cm. Obtaining cyst fluid was difficult and a largely acellular aspirate was yielded. The pre-operative diagnosis was mucinous cystic neoplasm in all patients. This series of patients were treated distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy. A retrospective review of radiological examinations suggested that LECs have a relatively low signal on T2 imaging and a high signal intensity on T1 weighted images. LECs appear more common in elderly males, and are typically incidental, large, unilocular cysts.
