1Single-cell RNA-seq highlights intra-tumoral heterogeneity and malignant progression in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma显示文摘Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the most common type of pancreatic cancer featured with high intra-tumoral heterogeneity and poor prognosis. To comprehensively delineate the PDAC intra-tumoral heterogeneity and the underlying mechanism for PDAC progression, we employed single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) to acquire the transcriptomic atlas of 57,530 individual pancreatic cells from primary PDAC tumors and control pancreases, and identified diverse malignant and stromal cell types, including two ductal subtypes with abnormal and malignant gene expression profiles respectively, in PDAC. We found that the heterogenous malignant subtype was composed of several subpopulations with differential proliferative and migratory potentials. Cell trajectory analysis revealed that components of multiple tumor-related pathways and transcription factors (TFs) were differentially expressed along PDAC progression. Furthermore, we found a subset of ductal cells with unique proliferative features were associated with an inactivation state in tumor-infiltrating T cells, providing novel markers for the prediction of antitumor immune response. 2Friction and wear behaviors of MoS2-multi-walled-carbonnanotube hybrid reinforced polyurethane composite coating显示文摘MoS2-multi-walled-carbon-nanotube(MWCNT)hybrids containing two-dimensional MoS2 and one-dimensional MWCNTs were synthesized through a one-step hydrothermal reaction.X-ray-diffraction and transmission-electron-microscopy results demonstrated that MoS2 nanosheets were successfully synthesized,and uniformly anchored on the MWCNTs’surfaces.Furthermore,the effects of the Mo S2-MWCNT hybrids on the tribological performances of polyurethane composite coatings were investigated using a UMT-2MT tribo-tester.Friction and wear test results revealed that the friction coefficient and wear rate of a 3 wt%Mo S2-MWCNT-1 filled polyurethane composite coating were reduced by 25.6% and 65.5%,respectively.The outstanding tribological performance of the MoS2-MWCNT-1 reinforced polyurethane composite coating was attributed to the excellent load-carrying capacity of the MWCNTs and good lubricant ability of MoS2.The surface morphologies of the worn surfaces and counterpart ball surfaces were investigated to reveal the wear mechanisms.Zhaozhu ZHANG Mingming YANG Junya YUAN Fang GUO Xuehu MEN 2019Friction2019,7,4:7
3Synthesis of layered double hydroxides/graphene oxide nanocomposite as a novel high-temperature CO_2 adsorbent显示文摘In this contribution, a novel high-temperature CO2 adsorbent consisting of Mg-Al layered double hydroxide(LDH) and graphene oxide(GO)nanosheets was prepared and evaluated. The nanocomposite-type adsorbent was synthesized based on the electrostatically driven self-assembly between positively charged Mg-Al LDH single sheet and negatively charged GO monolayer. The characteristics of this novel adsorbent were investigated using XRD, FE-SEM, HRTEM, FT-IR, BET and TGA. The results showed that both the CO2 adsorption capacity and the multicycle stability of LDH were increased with the addition of GO owing to the enhanced particle dispersion and stabilization. In particular, the absolute CO2 capture capacity of LDH was increased by more than twice by adding 6.54 wt% GO as support. GO appeared to be especially effective for supporting LDH sheets. Moreover, the CO2 capture capacity of the adsorbent could be further increased by doping with 15 wt%K2CO3. 4Combined effects of interface modification and micro-filler reinforcements on the thermal and tribological performances of fabric composites显示文摘The high specific‐strength of glass fibers and exceptional self‐lubrication of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)fibers promote the potential application of hybrid PTFE/glass fabric composites in the tribological field,but their weak interfacial adhesion and inferior thermal properties significantly inhibit their tribological performance and reliability.Herein,a hybrid of polydopamine/silicon carbide/polyethyleneimine(PDA/SiC/PEI)functional coating was co‐deposited onto the hybrid PTFE/glass fabric surface through a one‐step impregnation method,leading to increased surface roughness and abundant amine groups.Tensile and peeling tests showed that this functional coating offered 47.8%enhancement in the fabric/matrix interfacial adhesion without compromising the strength of the pristine fabric.Moreover,the additional incorporation of WS_(2),and aluminum nitride(AlN)micro‐fillers contributed to the development of a high‐quality tribofilm and improved the thermal properties of fabric composites.The results of wear tests proved that the hybrid‐fabric composites,after the introduction of functional coating and micro‐fillers,exhibited outstanding tribological performance,which was attributed to the superior interfacial adhesion as well as the synergistic enhancement effects between WS2 and AlN micro‐fillers.Junya YUAN Zhaozhu ZHANG Mingming YANG Xin ZHAO Liangfei WU Peilong LI Wei JIANG Xuehu MEN Weimin LIU 2021Friction2021,9,5:3
5Fabrication of PTFE/Nomex fabric/phenolic composites using a layer-by-layer self-assembly method for tribology field application显示文摘Fabric composites are widely applied as self-lubricating liner for radial spherical plain bearings owing to their excellent mechanical and tribological properties.Nevertheless,the poor interfacial strength between fibers and the resin matrix limits the performance of composites utilized as tribomaterials.To overcome this drawback,a mild layer-by-layer(LbL)self-assembly method was successfully used to construct hybrid fabric composites in the present work.In addition,this investigation addressed the effect of self-assembly cycles on the friction and wear behaviors of hybrid fabric composites under dry sliding condition.The results demonstrate that fabric composites with three or more self-assembly cycles have significantly enhanced surface activities and anti-wear performances.The results obtained in this work can provide guidance in the preparation of self-lubricating liner composites and highlight how the LbL self-assembly techniques could influence the properties of hybrid fabric composites.Mingming YANG Zhaozhu ZHANG Junya YUAN Liangfei WU Xin ZHAO Fang GUO Xuehu MEN Weimin LIU 2020Friction2020,8,2:3
6Cagelike mesoporous silica encapsulated with microcapsules for immobilized laccase and 2,4-DCP degradation显示文摘In this study,cage-like mesoporous silica was used as the carrier to immobilize laccase by a physical approach,followed by encapsulating with chitosan/alginate microcapsule membranes to form microcapsules of immobilized laccase based on layer-by-layer technology.The relationship between laccase activity recovery/leakage rate and the coating thickness was simultaneously investigated.Because the microcapsule layers have a substantial network of pores,they act as semipermeable membranes,while the laccase immobilized inside the microcapsules acts as a processing plant for degradation of2,4-dichlorophenol.The microcapsules of immobilized laccase were able to degrade 2,4-dichlorophenol within a wide range of 2,4-dichlorophenol concentration,temperature and p H,with mean degradation rate around 62%.Under the optimal conditions,the thermal stability and reusability of immobilized laccase were shown to be improved significantly,as the removal rate and degradation rate remained over 40.2% and 33.8% respectively after 6 cycles of operation.Using mass spectrometry(MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),diisobutyl phthalate and dibutyl phthalate were identified as the products of 2,4-dichlorophenol degradation by the microcapsules of immobilized laccase and laccase immobilized by a physical approach,respectively,further demonstrating the degradation mechanism of 2,4-dichlorophenol by microcapsule-immobilized laccase.Junya Yang Yan Huang Yuxiang Yang Hongming Yuan Xiangnong Liu 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,12:2
7Water environment protection and sustainable development in townlet of China: A case study in Taicang显示文摘The Environmental Kuznets Curve(EKC) model was applied to investigate the relationship between economic growth and water environment quality based on panel data of Taicang during 2010–2017. The typical inversed-U shaped relationship has been obtained between GDP(gross domestic product) and indicators of ammonia, total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorus(TP), respectively. The EKC turning point appeared when the GDP per capita was around US$2270, which was much lower than those in some developed countries(US$11,200). However, the decoupling between chemical oxygen demand(COD) and GDP per capita occurred even before this period, which should be attributed to the strict COD emission regulation being implemented since 2010. Further, analysis based on the Tapio decoupling coefficient elasticity model analyzed the ammonia nitrogen and economic development of each industry. We found that the agriculture no-point was strong decoupling in 2011–2014, then came to Recessive decoupling. The domestic wastewater had been in a strong decoupling state;Both urban non-point and industry experienced expansive negative decoupling, due to strict policy that prioritizes the environment over development and the investment in improvement of environment and techniques, both of them gradually came to strong decoupling. 9Integrative genomic and transcriptomic profiling of pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma identifies molecular subtypes associated with distinct immune features and clinical outcomes显示文摘Background:Pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma(PSC)is a rare and aggressive subtype of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),characterized by the presence of epithelial and sarcoma-like components.The molecular and immune landscape of PSC has not been well defined.Methods:Multiomics profiling of 21 pairs of PSCs with matched normal lung tissues was performed through targeted high-depth DNA panel,whole-exome,and RNA sequencing.We describe molecular and immune features that define subgroups of PSC with disparate genomic and immunogenic features as well as distinct clinical outcomes.Results:In total,27 canonical cancer gene mutations were identified,with TP53 the most frequently mutated gene,followed by KRAS.Interestingly,most TP53 and KRAS mutations were earlier genomic events mapped to the trunks of the tumors,suggesting branching evolution in most PSC tumors.We identified two distinct molecular subtypes of PSC,driven primarily by immune infiltration and signaling.The Immune High(IM-H)subtype was associated with superior survival,highlighting the impact of immune infiltration on the biological and clinical features of localized PSCs.Conclusions:We provided detailed insight into the mutational landscape of PSC and identified two molecular subtypes associated with prognosis.IM-H tumors were associated with favorable recurrence-free survival and overall survival,highlighting the importance of tumor immune infiltration in the biological and clinical features of PSCs.Sahil Seth Runzhe Chen Yang Liu Junya Fujimoto Lingzhi Hong Alexandre Reuben Susan Varghese Carmen Behrens Tina McDowell Luisa Solis Soto Cara Haymaker Annikka Weissferdt Neda Kalhor Jia Wu Xiuning Le Natalie I Vokes Chao Cheng John V.Heymach Don L.Gibbons P.Andrew Futreal Ignacio IWistuba Humam Kadara Jianhua Zhang Cesar Moran Jianjun Zhang 2024Cancer Innovation2024,3,3:0

11Halloysite‒gold core‒shell nanosystem synergistically enhances thermal conductivity and mechanical properties to optimize the wear-resistance of a pheonlic-PBO/PTFE textile composite liner显示文摘Polymer-textile liner composites have potential applications in aerospace applications for reducing the abrasion damage of moving parts during operation owing to their self-lubrication,light weight,and high loading capacity.Herein,Au nanoparticles(AuNPs)are successfully loaded into the lumen of halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)to construct an HNTs‒Au peasecod core‒shell nanosystem to optimize the wear resistance of phenolic resin-based poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole)(PBO)/polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)textile composites.Transmission electron microscope(TEM)characterization reveals that the AuNPs are well-dispersed inside the HNTs,with an average diameter of 6‒9 nm.The anti-wear performance of the HNTs and Au-reinforced PBO/PTFE composites is evaluated using a pin-on-disk friction tester at 100 MPa.Evidently,the addition of HNTs‒Au induces a 27.9%decrease in the wear rate of the composites.Possible anti-wear mechanisms are proposed based on the analyzed results of the worn surface morphology and the cross-section of the tribofilm obtained by focused ion beam transmission electron microscopy.Yanling WANG Zhaozhu ZHANG Meng LIU Yaohui HE Peilong LI Junya YUAN Mingming YANG Weimin LIU 2023Friction2023,11,12:0
12Conservative Treatment of Fetal Goitrous Hypothyroidism Due to Thyroglobulin Mutations:A Case Report and Literature Review显示文摘With the advances in fetal medicine,there will be more cases of congenital hypothyroidism(CH)diagnosed in the fetal period.However,there is no consensus on the management protocol.We present a successful case of conservatively managed fetal goitrous hypothyroidism due to compound heterozygous TG mutations.Goiter was observed in a fetus at 23 weeks of gestation.Because there was no evidence of transplacental passage of antithyroid antibody and drugs,iodine overload,and iodine deficiency,the fetus was highly suspected to have CH.Considering the potential risks of amniocentesis/cordocentesis,and lack of available parenteral levothyroxine in China,the fetus was closely monitored thereafter.A male neonate was delivered vaginally without complications at 39 weeks of gestation.We verified severe hypothyroidism in the infant and immediately initiated levothyroxine therapy.His growth and mental development were normal at the age of 8 month.Whole-exome sequencing showed that the neonate had two compound heterozygous mutations in the TG gene.We also performed a literature review of the prognosis of postnatal treatment of CH due to TG mutations and the result showed that postnatal treatment of CH due to TG mutations has a favorable prognosis.However,further prospective studies are warranted to verify this conclusion.Shiping Liu Wei Bai Ying Gao Chunyan Shi Lixin Fan Junya Chen Jian Shi Weije Sun Xinlin Hou Huixia Yang 2023Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,3:0
13Surface modification of YS-20 with polydopamine for improving the tribological properties of polyimide composites显示文摘Recently,great effort has been devoted to prepare various reinforce fillers to improve polymer performances,but ignoring the importance of raw polymer powders which are indispensable parts of hot-pressed polymer composites.Herein,we engineer raw polyimide(PI)powders with the assistance of polydopamine(PDA)in aqueous solutions.After the modification,polymer powders change from hydrophobic to hydrophilic,which makes it is possible to further modification of polymer powders in liquid phase.During the curing process of modified polymer powders,the partial dehydration of the catechol groups and crosslinking of PDA via C–O–C bonds are confirmed.Based on the features of PDA,a non-destructive mixing method is utilized to realize homogeneous dispersion of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)in polymer matrix.In comparison with ball milling method,this way can preserve the integrated innate structure of MWCNTs effectively.Besides,by taking full advantage of the reducing and metal-coordination capability of PDA,Cu2+is successfully loaded onto the surfaces of polymer powders.The related characterizations demonstrate that Cu2+in situ converts to metallic copper rather than copper oxide during the hot pressing process.The tribological properties of corresponding polymer composites are also studied.These results indicate that modifying polymer powders with PDA is multi-profit and presents practical application prospect.Liangfei WU Zhaozhu ZHANG Mingming YANG Junya YUAN Peilong LI Zujun CHEN Xuehu MEN 2022Friction2022,10,3:0
14Methcathinone Increases Visually-evoked Neuronal Activity and Enhances Sensory Processing Efficiency in Mice显示文摘Methcathinone(MCAT)belongs to the designer drugs called synthetic cathinones,which are abused worldwide for recreational purposes.It has strong stimulant effects,including enhanced euphoria,sensation,alertness,and empathy.However,little is known about how MCAT modulates neuronal activity in vivo.Here,we evaluated the effect of MCAT on neuronal activity with a series of functional approaches.C-Fos immunostaining showed that MCAT increased the number of activated neurons by 6-fold,especially in sensory and motor cortices,striatum,and midbrain motor nuclei.In vivo single-unit recording and two-photon Ca^(2+) imaging revealed that a large proportion of neurons increased spiking activity upon MCAT administration.Notably,MCAT induced a strong de-correlation of population activity and increased trial-to-trial reliability,specifically during a natural movie stimulus.It improved the information-processing efficiency by enhancing the single-neuron coding capacity,suggesting a cortical network mechanism of the enhanced perception produced by psychoactive stimulants.Jun Zhou Wen Deng Chen Chen Junya Kang Xiaodan Yang Zhaojuan Dou Jiancheng Wu Quancong Li Man Jiang Man Liang Yunyun Han 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,4:0

16Nonreciprocal ground-state cooling of mechanical resonator in a spinning optomechanical system显示文摘We theoretically present a scheme for nonreciprocal ground-state cooling in a double-cavity spinning optomechanical system which is consisted of an optomechanical resonator and a spinning optical harmonic resonator with directional driving.The optical Sagnac effect generated by the whispering-gallery cavity(WGC)rotation creates frequency difference between the WGC mode,we found that the mechanical resonator(MR)can be cooled to the ground state when the propagation direction of driving light is opposite to the spin direction of the WGC,but not from the other side,vice versa,so that the nonreciprocal cooling is achieved.By appropriately selecting the system parameters,the heating process can be completely suppressed due to the quantum interference effect.The proposed approach provides a platform for quantum manipulation of macroscopic mechanical devices beyond the resolved sideband limit.Junya Yang Chengsong Zhao Zhen Yang Rui Peng Shilei Chao Ling Zhou 2022Frontiers of physics2022,17,5:0
