1FLOOD DISCHARGE AND ENERGY DISSIPATION BY JETS FROM OUTLETS IN HIGH ARCH DAM显示文摘In this thesis, the scale effect by an aerated water jet diffusing in the water upon the hydrodynamic pressure, the local riverbed scour by multiple layered jets and by those colliding in the vertical and the transverse directions, and the stability of the apron slab both in the inverted arch cushion pool and the flat bottom one by the large discharge and the high water head with 300m level are detailedly researched by means of model test and numerical simulation. A mathematic model simulating the destabilization of the flat bottomed slab is established to open out the mechanism of its stability. 2Arrangement models of alkylammonium cations in the interlayer of HDTMA^+pillared montmorillonites显示文摘The orientation of HDTMA+ in the interlayer of organic pillared montmorillonites prepared at different concentrations of HDTMA+ have been studied using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and theoretical calculation. A series of arrangement models of HDTMA+ in the interlayer of montmorillonite have been proposed as lateral-monolayer (LM), lateral-bilayer (LB), pseudotrilayer (PT), paraf-fin-type-monolayer (PM), paraffin-type-bilayer (PB). With the increase of the concentration of HDTMA+, the arrange-ment model of HDTMA+ in the interlayer of montmorillo-nites changes as lateral-monolayer→lateral-bilayer→para- ffin-type monolayer→pseudotrilayer→paraffin-type-bilayer and the packing density of HDTMA+ in the interlayer in-creases gradually. 3Synthesis, characterization and size control of zerovalent iron nanoparticles anchored on montmorillonite显示文摘Zerovalent iron nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized using sodium borohydride solution reduction of ferric trichloride hexahydrate in the presence of montmorillonite as an effective protective reagent and support as well. A combination of characterizations reveals that with high monodispersity these obtained iron nanoparticles are well dispersed on clay surface, virginal from boron related impurity, and oxidation resistant well with iron core-iron oxide shell structure. The shell thickness of 3 nm remains almost invariable under ambient conditions. 4ZmMs30 Encoding a Novel GDSL Lipase Is Essential for Male Fertility and Valuable for Hybrid Breeding in Maize显示文摘Genic male sterility (GMS) is very useful for hybrid vigor utilization and hybrid seed production. Although a large number of GMS genes have been identified in plants, little is known about the roles of GDSL lipase members in anther and pollen development. Here, we report a maize GMS gene, ZmMs30, which encodes a novel type of GDSL lipase with diverged catalytic residues. Enzyme kinetics and activity assays show that ZmMs30 has lipase activity and prefers to substrates with a short carbon chain. ZmMs30 is specifically expressed in maize anthers during stages 7-9. Loss of ZmMs30 function resulted in defective anther cuticle, irregular foot layer of pollen exine, and complete male sterility. Cytological and lipidomics analyses demonstrate that ZmMs30 is crucial for the aliphatic metabolic pathway required for pollen exine formation and anther cuticle development. Furthermore, we found that male sterility caused by loss of ZmMs30 function was stable in various inbred lines with different genetic background, and that it didn't show any negative effect on maize heterosis and production, suggesting that ZmMs30 is valuable for crossbreeding and hybrid seed production. We then developed a new multi-control sterility system using ZmMs30 and its mutant line, and demonstrated it is feasible for generating desirable GMS lines and valu. able for hybrid maize seed production. 5From a single network to a network of networks显示文摘Network science has atracted much atention in recent years due to its interdisciplinary applications. We witnessed the revolution of network science in 1998 and 1999 started with small-world and scale-free networks having now thousands of high-proile publications, and it seems that since 2010 studies of‘network of networks'(NON), sometimes called multilayer networks or multiplex, have atracted more and more atention. he analytic framework for NON yields a novel percolation law for n interdependent networks that shows that percolation theory of single networks studied extensively in physics and mathematics in the last 50 years is a speciic limit of the rich and very diferent general case of n coupled networks. Since then, properties and dynamics of interdependent and interconnected networks have been studied extensively, and scientists are inding many interesting results and discovering many surprising phenomena. Because most natural and engineered systems are composed of multiple subsystems and layers of connectivity, it is important to consider these features in order to improve our understanding of such complex systems. Now the study of NON has become one of the important directions in network science.In this paper, we review recent studies on the new emerging area—NON. Due to the fast growth of this ield, there are many deinitions of diferent types of NON, such as interdependent networks,interconnected networks, multilayered networks, multiplex networks and many others. here exist many datasets that can be represented as NON, such as network of diferent transportation networks including light networks, railway networks and road networks, network of ecological networks including species interacting networks and food webs, network of biological networks including gene regulation network,metabolic network and protein–protein interacting network, network of social networks and so on. Among them, many interdependent networks including critical infrastructures are embedded in space, introducing spatial constraints. hus, we also review the progress on study of spatially embedded networks. As a result of spatial constraints, such interdependent networks exhibit extreme vulnerabilities compared with their non-embedded counterparts. 7Ciliary parathyroid hormone signaling activates transforming growth factor-βto maintain intervertebral disc homeostasis during aging显示文摘Degenerative disc disease(DDD) is associated with intervertebral disc degeneration of spinal instability. Here, we report that the cilia of nucleus pulposus(NP) cells mediate mechanotransduction to maintain anabolic activity in the discs. We found that mechanical stress promotes transport of parathyroid hormone 1 receptor(PTH1 R) to the cilia and enhances parathyroid hormone(PTH) signaling in NP cells. PTH induces transcription of integrin α_vβ_6 to activate the transforming growth factor(TGF)-β-connective tissue growth factor(CCN2)-matrix proteins signaling cascade. Intermittent injection of PTH(iPTH) effectively attenuates disc degeneration of aged mice by direct signaling through NP cells, specifically improving intervertebral disc height and volume by increasing levels of TGF-β activity, CCN2, and aggrecan. PTH1 R is expressed in both mouse and human NP cells. Importantly,knockout PTH1 R or cilia in the NP cells results in significant disc degeneration and blunts the effect of PTH on attenuation of aged discs. 9Preparation and characterization of 3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane grafted montmorillonite and acid-activated montmorillonite显示文摘3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane grafted montmorillonites were synthesized with montmorillonite, acidactivated montmorillonites and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane in ethanol-water mixture. The resulting products were investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TG). XRD patterns demonstrated that silane was intercalated into the montmorillonite gallery, indicated by increasing basal spacings. These intercalated silanes probably adopt bilayer arrangement models within the montmorillonite and acid-activated montmorillonites interlayer spaces. TG and DTG curves indicate that acidification results in a decrease of the thermal stability of the resultant montmorillonites. 10Interaction of polyhydroxy fullerenes with ferrihydrite:adsorption and aggregation显示文摘The rapid development of nanoscience and nanotechnology, with thousands types of nanomaterials being produced, will lead to various environmental impacts. Thus,understanding the behaviors and fate of these nanomaterials is essential. This study focused on the interaction between polyhydroxy fullerenes(PHF) and ferrihydrite(Fh), a widespread iron(oxyhydr)oxide nanomineral and geosorbent. Our results showed that PHF were effectively adsorbed by Fh. The adsorption isotherm fitted the D-R model well, with an adsorption capacity of 67.1 mg/g. The adsorption mean free energy of 10.72 k J/mol suggested that PHF were chemisorbed on Fh. An increase in the solution p H and a decrease of the Fh surface zeta potential were observed after the adsorption of PHF on Fh; moreover, increasing initial solution p H led to a reduction of adsorption. The Fourier transform infrared spectra detected a red shift of C–O stretching from 1075 to 1062 cm-1 and a decrease of Fe–O bending, implying the interaction between PHF oxygenic functional groups and Fh surface hydroxyls. On the other hand, PHF affected the aggregation and reactivity of Fh by changing its surface physicochemical properties. Aggregation of PHF and Fh with individual particle sizes increasing from 2 nm to larger than 5 nm was measured by atomic force microscopy. The uniform distribution of C and Fe suggested that the aggregates of Fh were possibly bridged by PHF. 11TiO_2/Schwertmannite nanocomposites as superior co-catalysts in heterogeneous photo-Fenton process显示文摘The heterogeneous photo-Fenton reaction is an effective technique in combating organic contaminants for both soil and water remediation,and extensive studies have focused on enhancing its efficiency and reducing its costs.In this work,we developed novel photoFenton catalysts by simply milling commercially available TiO_2(P25)with Schwertmannite(Sh),a natural iron-oxyhydroxysulfate nanomineral.We expect that the photo-generated electrons from TiO_2could continuously migrate to Sh,which then could enhance the separation of electron-hole pairs on TiO_2and accelerate the reduction of Fe(III)to Fe(II)on Sh,leading to high degradation efficiency of the target organic contaminants.SEM and TEM results showed the distribution of TiO_2on Sh surface for the nanocomposites(TiO_2/Sh).Under simulated sunlight irradiation,the much higher content of Fe(II)was determined on TiO_2/Sh than on Sh via a common method in the iron ore,and the consumption of H_2O_2and the production of·OH were more significant in the TiO_2/Sh system than those in the TiO_2and Sh systems.These results well support our hypothesis that the photo-generated electrons could migrate from TiO_2to Sh on the composites,and can also explain the much higher degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B(RhB)in the TiO_2/Sh system.Besides,TiO_2/Sh had lower Fe dissolution as compared with Sh,and retained high catalytic stability after four repeated cycles.Above merits of the TiO_2/Sh composites,in combining with their simple synthesis method and low-cost property,indicated that they should have promising applications as heterogeneous photo-Fenton catalysts.Yanping Zhu Chun Zeng Runliang Zhu Yin Xu Xingyan Wang Huijun Zhou Jianxi Zhu Hongping He 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,6:5
12Comparison of three remotely sensed drought indices for assessing the impact of drought on winter wheat yield显示文摘Agricultural drought threatens food security.Numerous remote-sensing drought indices have been developed,but their different principles,assumptions and physical quantities make it necessary to compare their suitability for drought monitoring over large areas.Here,we analyzed the performance of three typical remote sensing-based drought indices for monitoring agricultural drought in two major agricultural production regions in Shaanxi and Henan provinces,northern China(predominantly rain-fed and irrigated agriculture,respectively):vegetation health index(VHI),temperature vegetation dryness index(TVDI)and drought severity index(DSI).We compared the agreement between these indices and the standardized precipitation index(SPI),soil moisture,winter wheat yield and National Meteorological Drought Monitoring(NMDM)maps.On average,DSI outperformed the other indices,with stronger correlations with SPI and soil moisture.DSI also corresponded better with soil moisture and NMDM maps.The jointing and grain-filling stages of winter wheat are more sensitive to water stress,indicating that winter wheat required more water during these stages.Moreover,the correlations between the drought indices and SPI,soil moisture,and winter wheat yield were generally stronger in Shaanxi province than in Henan province,suggesting that remote-sensing drought indices provide more accurate predictions of the impacts of drought in predominantly rain-fed agricultural areas.Jianxi Huang Wen Zhuo Ying Li Ran Huang Fernando Sedano Wei Su Jinwei Dong Liyan Tian Yanbo Huang Dehai Zhu Xiaodong Zhang 2020International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,4:4

14Effect of Phosphorus on Mechanical Properties and Thermal Stability of Fine-grained GH761 Alloy显示文摘The effect of phosphorus on mechanical properties and thermal stability of fine-grained GH761 alloy has been investigated.The results show that,when the content of phosphorus is in the range of 0.0007-0.040,there are no significant effects on the tensile properties.Phosphorus strongly affects the stress rupture life.The content of 0.023 P results in the longest life in this experiment.Compared with that of the alloy with 0.0007 P,the life is increased more than 2 times in the alloy with 0.023 P.After ageing at 700℃ for 1000 h,the life reduced to some extent.However,phosphorus exhibits the similar effect on the life as before ageing.The tensile properties of the alloy are not influenced by long term ageing obviously.The present results suggested that the optimum content of phosphorus is 0.023.The phosphorus with this content can optimize the precipitates at the grain boundaries and prevent the excessive growth of the precipitates.The combining mechanical properties of GH761 alloy can be largely improved by phosphorus addition combined with grain refinement.Shulin Yang Wenru Sun Jianxi Wang Zhimei Ge Shouren Guo Zhuangqi Hu 2011Journal of Materials Science & Technology2011,27,6:3
15Multiplexed intracellular detection based on dual-excitation/dualemission upconversion nanoprobes显示文摘Multiplexed intracellular detection is desirable in biomedical sciences for its higher eficiency and accuracy compared to the single-analyte detection.However,it is very challenging to construct nanoprobes that possess multiple fluorescent signals to recognize the different intracellular species synchronously.Herein,we proposed a novel dual-excitation/dual-emission upconversion strategy for multiplexed detection through the design of upconversion nanoparticles(UCNP)loaded with two dyes for sensitization and quenching of the upconversion luminescence(UCL),respectively.Based on the two independent energy transfer processes of near-infrared(NIR)dye IR845 to UCNP and UCNP to visible dye PAPS-Zn,CIO-and Zn2+were simultaneously detected with a limit of detection(LOD)of41.4 and 10.5 nM,respectively.By tilizing a purpose built 830/980 nm dual-laser confocal microscope,both intrinsic and exogenous CIO and Zn2+in live MCF-7 cells have been accurately quantified.Such dual-excitation/dual-emission ratiometric UCL detection mode enables not only monitoring multiple intracellular analytes but also eliminating the detection deviation caused by inhomogeneous probe distribution in cells.Through modulation of NIR dye and visible dye with other reactive groups,the nanoprobes can be extended to analyze various intraellular species,which provides a promising tool to study the biological activities in live cells and diagnose diseases.Jianxi Ke Shan Lu Zhuo Li Xiaoying Shang Xingjun Li Renfu Li Datao Tu Zhuo Chen Xueyuan Chen 2020Nano Research2020,13,7:2

17Validation of an operational forecasting system of sea dike risk in the southern Zhejiang Province, South China显示文摘In this study,an operational forecasting system of sea dike risk in the southern Zhejiang Province,South China was developed based on a coupled storm-surge and wave model.This forecasting system is important because of the high cost of storm-surge damage and the need for rapid emergency planning.A comparison with astronomical tides in 2016 and the validation of storm surges and high water marks of 20 typhoons verified that the forecast system has a good simulation ability.The system can forecast relatively realistic water levels and wave heights as shown under the parametric atmospheric forces simulated in a case study;the sea dikes in credible high risk were mainly located in the estuaries,rivers,and around the islands in the southern Zhejiang.Therefore,the forecast system is applicable in the southern Zhejiang with a support to the effective prevention from typhoon storm-surge damage.LI Tao WANG Fangdong HOU Jingming CHE Zhumei DONG Jianxi 2019Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,6:2

19Simultaneous sorption of aqueous phenanthrene and phosphate onto bentonites modified with AlCl_(3) and CTMAB显示文摘The purpose of this work is to synthesize a new type of bentonite sorbent that can simultaneously remove both organic compounds and phosphate from water.Inorgan-ic-organic bentonites(Al-CTMAB-Bent)were synthesized by modifying bentonites with both AlCl3 and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTMAB).Simultaneous sorption of aqueous phenanthrene and phosphate onto Al-CTMAB-Bent was examined.Removal rates of phenanthrene and phosphate from water reached 96.3% and 90.2%,respectively,at their respective initial concentrations of 1 mg/L and 5 mg/L and the added amount of Al-CTMAB-Bent was 1.25 g/L.The residual turbidity of the Al-CTMAB-Bent suspension decreased 81.4% compared to that of organobentonite sus-pension after a 1 h settling time.Thus,inorganic-organic ben-tonite can be used to treat wastewater containing both organic pollutants and phosphate.ZHU Runliang ZHU Lizhong ZHU Jianxi 2007Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,1:2
20Complications from port-a-cath system implantation in adults with malignant tumors:A 10-year single-center retrospective study显示文摘Background:Port-A-Cath systems(PCS)are safe and convenient devices for long-term infusion in patients with malignant tumors.This study retrospectively analyzed the complications from PCS and their management.Methods:Data of 1695 adults(641 males and 1054 females)with malignant tumors who underwent PCS implantation in our center from January 1,2009 to December 31,2019 who had complete follow-up records were collected in this study.The early and late complications and corresponding treatments were studied.Results:A total of 1716 PCSs were implanted;21 patients underwent 2 implantations each.The success rate was100%and no severe complications occurred during implantation.The overall occurrence rate of post-implantation complications was 18.5%(318/1716);5.5%(94/1716)were early complications and 13.0%(224/1716)were late complications.A total of 451 PCSs were removed,of which 398 were removed due to the end of chemotherapy,while 53 were removed because of complications.A total of 4 deaths occurred from these complications.Conclusions:The incidence of intra-and post-operative complications is low.In most cases,complications can be effectively controlled without the removal of the PCS and regular follow-up and maintenance are critical.Yong Li Jianxi Guo Yanfang Zhang Jian Kong 2022Journal of Interventional Medicine2022,5,1:2
