| 3 | Relation between electricity structure of the crust and deformation of crustal blocks on the northeastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Study on the electricity structure along a magnetotelluric (MT) sounding profile on the northeastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau indicates that four crustal blocks can be de-termined from southwest to northeast, namely Bayan Har block (BH), Qin-Qi block (QQ), Hai-yuan block (HY) or the North-South seismotectonic belt and Ordos block (OD). The BH, QQ and OD blocks display a similar electricity structure of the crust. The upper crust represents a high- resistivity layer and the upper part of lower crust represents a low-resistivity layer with the resis-tivity increasing gradually with depth from the lower part of lower crust to the upper mantle. The electricity structure of the crust in these three blocks is similar to that in the complete blocks on the southern and eastern margins of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and belongs to normal electricity layering of the crust in slightly deformed or complete intracontinental blocks. The crust in HY block as a boundary zone has been significantly deformed, hence its electricity layering was de-stroyed and the structure was complex and the block became a recent tectonically active and great seismo-active region. The contact belts between the blocks on the northeastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau exhibit both upthrusting outward and strike-slip movement different from those on the southern and eastern margins of the plateau. | 4 | Inhibition of long non-coding RNA TUG1 on gastric cancer cell transference and invasion through regulating and controlling the expression of miR-144/c-Met axis显示文摘Objective: To discuss the expression of long noncoding RNA TUG1(lnc RNA-TUG1) in gastric carcinoma(GC) and its effects on the transferring and invading capacity of gastric carcinoma cells. Methods: Forty cases of carcinoma tissue and para-carcinoma tissue were selected from GC patients who underwent surgical removal in Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Chinese Traditional Medicine and Wenzhou Central Hospital from January, 2013 to December, 2014; the expressing level of lnc RNA-TUG1 in GC and para-C tissues was detected by applying the q RT-PCR technique. The correlation between lnc RNA-TUG1 expression and patients' clinical data was classified and analyzed. SGC-7901 cells were transfected using lnc RNA-TUG1 specific si RNA. Changes of the transferring and invading capacity of si RNAtransfected SGC-7901 cells were scratch-tested and transwell-detected. q RT-PCR was applied to detect the expression level of micro RNA-144 after lnc RNA-TUG1 was silenced. Changes of c-Met m RNA and protein expressions was detected by q RT-PCR and western-blot test. Results: The expression level of lnc RNA-TUG1 in GC tissue was significant higher than that in para-C tissue(P<0.05) and the high expression level of lnc RNA-TUG1 in GC tissue was significantly correlated with tumor lymph nodes metastasis and advance TNM phasing(P<0.05). The transferring and invading capacity of SGC-7901 cells was highly inhibited after being transfected by lnc RNA-TUG1 specific si RNA(P<0.05). The results of q RT-PCR and western-blot proved that the expression of micro RNA-144 was significantly boosted and the expression level of c-Met m RNA and protein was inhibited after lnc RNA-TUG1 was silenced(P<0.05). | 6 | Carbon monoxide-induced adventitious rooting of hypo-cotyl cuttings from mung bean seedling显示文摘In this paper, the regulatory role of ex-ogenous carbon monoxide (CO) during the genera-tion and development of adventitious roots in mung bean (Phaseolus radiatus L. cv. Mingguang) hypo-cotyl cuttings was surveyed. The results indicated that, like nitric oxide (NO), CO donor Hematin in-duced adventitious rooting in dose- and time-de- pendent manners. These responses were also prov- en by the addition of gaseous CO aqueous solution with different concentrations. Additionally, the above CO-mediated effect was differently reversed when CO scavenger hemoglobin (Hb), CO specific syn-thetic inhibitor ZnPPIX, the auxin transport inhibitor NPA and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor L-NAME were added with Hematin, respectively. The formation of unstable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI) and dendritic Li on the metal anode, however, hindered its practical application. Herein, to address the issues, a Li-free electrode with ultrathin Al_2O_3 coated on reduced graphene oxide(rGO) membrane that covers a Cu foil current collector was developed. The composite electrode exhibits excellent interfacial protection of lithium metal deposited between Cu foil and rGO electrochemically. Firstly, it affords good Li^+ permeability from the electrolyte. Secondly, the ultrathin Al_2O_3 has sufficient mechanical strength to inhibit the penetration of Li dendrite. The model is initialized with the MM5/WRF 3DVAR analysis, which incorporates the ground-based GPS precipitable water vapor, automatic and conventional meteorological observations in its assimilation step. For 24 h accumulated precipitation forecast, the threat scores are 0.72, 0.76, 0.67 and 0.63, for thresholds of 1, 5, 10, and 20 mm, respectively. Holding other factors unchanged, sensitivity experiments were conducted with different topographic resolutions of 110, 50 and 3.7 km to investigate the topographic effects on precipitation over the Beijing area. In these sensitivity experiments, we attempt to preserve the realistic orographic distribution in the model topography under the condition of keeping the dynamic-thermodynamic consistency of the initial model atmosphere to the extent possible. | 12 | Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. | 13 | Characterizing Spatial Patterns of Precipitation Based on Corrected TRMM_3B_(43) Data over the Mid Tianshan Mountains of China显示文摘The poor distribution of meteorological stations results in a limited understanding of the precipitation pattern in the Tianshan Mountains. The spatial patterns of precipitation over the mid Tianshan Mountains were characterized based on the TRMM 3B43 monthly precipitation data. By comparing satellite estimates with observed data, it shows that TRMM 3B43 data underestimate the precipitation in mountain region. Regression models were developed to improve the TRMM 3B43 data, using geographic location and topographic variables extracted from DEM using GIS technology. The explained variance in observed precipitation was improved from 64% (from TRMM 3B43 products alone) to over 82% and the bias reduced by over 30% when location and topographic variables were added. We recalculated all the TRMM 3B43 monthly precipitation grids for the period 1998 to 2009 using the best regression models, and then studied the variation patterns of precipitation over the mid Tianshan Mountains. The results are well explained by a general understanding of the patterns of precipitation and orographic effects. This indicated that the Tianshan Mountains strongly influences the amount and distribution of precipitation in the region. This is highlighted by the confinement of the precipitation maxima to the windward (northern slope). And complex vertical changes in the provenance and distribution of precipitation, like that a negative increasing rate of precipitation in the vertical direction exists in the north but does not in south. | 18 | Expression of miR-1304 in patients with esophageal carcinoma and risk factors for recurrence显示文摘BACKGROUND Esophageal carcinoma is a malignant gastrointestinal tumor with a very poor prognosis.MicroRNA(miR)-1304 is a newly discovered non-coding RNA,which shows differential expression in other cancers,and its clinical value in esophageal carcinoma remains unclear.AIM To explore the expression of miR-1304 in patients with esophageal carcinoma and its clinical value.METHODS The expression of miR-1304 in patients with esophageal carcinoma was analyzed based on the data on miR in esophageal carcinoma downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas database.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was adopted to determine the expression of miR-1304 in the tissues and serum of patients.The clinical diagnostic value of miR-1304 and independent factors for recurrence and prognosis of esophageal carcinoma were then analyzed.The potential target genes of miR-1304 were predicted,and then analyzed based on gene ontology,Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes,and Genomes,and protein-protein interaction.RESULTS The expression of miR-1304 in the tissues and serum of patients with esophageal carcinoma increased,and was also increased according to the database.Patients with high expression of miR-1304 suffered increased rates of tumor≥3 cm,low differentiation and stage II+III.miR-1304 had a diagnostic value in identifying esophageal carcinoma,tumor size,differentiation and TNM stage.Tumor size,differentiation,TNM stage,and miR-1304 were independent risk factors for recurrence of esophageal carcinoma,and they had certain predictive and diagnostic value for the recurrence of esophageal carcinoma.Seventy-eight patients showed a 3-year survival rate of 38.46%,and patients with high expression of miR-1304 had a relatively lower survival rate.Multivariate analysis revealed that tumor size,differentiation,recurrence and miR-1304 were independent factors for the prognosis of patients.MiRTarBase,miRDB,and Targetscan predicted 20 target genes in total.Gene ontology enrichment analysis found 18 functions with aP<0.05,and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes,and Genomes analysis found 11 signal pathways with aP<0.05.String analysis of protein co-expression found 269 relationship pairs,of which co-expression with epidermal growth factor was the most common.CONCLUSION miR-1304 can be used as a potential indicator for the diagnosis and recurrence of esophageal carcinoma and for survival of patients with this disease. | Yun-Gang Luo Li-Wei Duan Xuan Ji Wen-Yuan Jia Yun Liu Mao-Lei Sun Guo-Min Liu | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,6: | 4 |

| 20 | Autophagy enhanced by curcumin ameliorates inflammation in atherogenesis via the TFEB-P300-BRD4 axis显示文摘Disturbance of macrophage-associated lipid metabolism plays a key role in atherosclerosis.Crosstalk between autophagy deficiency and inflammation response in foam cells(FCs) through epigenetic regulation is still poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that in macrophages, oxidized lowdensity lipoprotein(ox-LDL) leads to abnormal crosstalk between autophagy and inflammation,thereby causing aberrant lipid metabolism mediated through a dysfunctional transcription factor EB (TFEB)-P300-bromodomain-containing protein 4(BRD4) axis. ox-LDL led to macrophage autophagy deficiency along with TFEB cytoplasmic accumulation and increased reactive oxygen species generation. This activated P300 promoted BRD4 binding on the promoter regions of inflammatory genes, consequently contributing to inflammation with atherogenesis. Particularly, ox-LDL activated BRD4-dependent super-enhancer associated with liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS) on the regulatory regions of inflammatory genes. Curcumin(Cur) prominently restored FCs autophagy by promoting TFEB nuclear translocation, optimizing lipid catabolism, and reducing inflammation. The consequences of P300 and BRD4 on super-enhancer formation and inflammatory response in FCs could be prevented by Cur. Furthermore, the anti-atherogenesis effect of Cur was inhibited by macrophage-specific Brd4 overexpression or Tfeb knock-out in Apoe knock-out mice via bone marrow transplantation.
