1Impact of tumor location on clinical outcomes of gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection显示文摘AIM:To determine whether there is a correlation between the location of the lesion and endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)outcome.METHODS:From January 2008 to December 2010,ESD of 1443 gastric tumors was performed.En bloc resection rate,complete resection rate,procedure time and complication rate were analyzed according to the tumor location.RESULTS:The rates of en bloc resection and complete resection were 91%(1318/1443)and 89%(1287/1443),respectively.The post-ESD bleeding rate was 4.3%,and perforation rate was 2.7%.Tumors located in the upper third of the stomach were associated with a longer procedure time and significantly higher rates of incomplete resection,piecemeal resection,and perforation than tumors below the upper third of the stomach.Posterior wall lesions had significantly longer procedure times and higher rates of incomplete resection and piecemeal resection than lesions in other locations.In multivariate analysis,posterior wall lesions and upper third lesions were significantly associated with incomplete resection and perforation,respectively.In post-ESD bleeding analysis,location was not a significant related factor.CONCLUSION:More advanced endoscopic techniques are required during ESD for lesions located in the upper third or posterior wall of the stomach to decrease complications and improve therapeutic outcomes.Ji Young Yoon Choong Nam Shim Sook Hee Chung Wan Park Hyunsoo Chung Hyuk Lee Sung Kwan Shin Sang Kil Lee Yong Chan Lee Jun Chul Park 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,26:10
2Non-destructive thickness characterisation of 3D multilayer semiconductor devices using optical spectral measurements and machine learning显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)semiconductor devices can address the limitations of traditional two-dimensional(2D)devices by expanding the integration space in the vertical direction.A 3D NOT-AND(NAND)flash memory device is presently the most commercially successful 3D semiconductor device.It vertically stacks more than 100 semiconductor material layers to provide more storage capacity and better energy efficiency than 2D NAND flash memory devices.In the manufacturing of 3D NAND,accurate characterisation of layer-by-layer thickness is critical to prevent the production of defective devices due to non-uniformly deposited layers.To date,electron microscopes have been used in production facilities to characterise multilayer semiconductor devices by imaging cross-sections of samples.However,this approach is not suitable for total inspection because of the wafer-cutting procedure.Here,we propose a non-destructive method for thickness characterisation of multilayer semiconductor devices using optical spectral measurements and machine learning.For>200-layer oxide/nitride multilayer stacks,we show that each layer thickness can be non-destructively determined with an average of approximately 1.6Åroot-mean-square error.We also develop outlier detection models that can correctly classify normal and outlier devices.This is an important step towards the total inspection of ultra-high-density 3D NAND flash memory devices.It is expected to have a significant impact on the manufacturing of various multilayer and 3D devices.Hyunsoo Kwak Sungyoon Ryu Suil Cho Junmo Kim Yusin Yang Jungwon Kim 2021Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2021,2,1:4

14Ig SF11 regulates osteoclast differentiation through association with the scaffold protein PSD-95显示文摘Osteoclasts are multinucleated, giant cells derived from myeloid progenitors. While receptor activator of NF-κB ligand(RANKL)stimulation is the primary driver of osteoclast differentiation, additional signaling further contributes to osteoclast maturation.Here, we demonstrate that immunoglobulin superfamily member 11(Ig SF11), whose expression increases during osteoclast differentiation, regulates osteoclast differentiation through interaction with postsynaptic density protein 95(PSD-95), a scaffold protein with multiple protein interaction domains. Ig SF11 deficiency in vivo results in impaired osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption but no observed defect in bone formation. Consequently, Ig SF11-deficient mice exhibit increased bone mass.Using in vitro osteoclast culture systems, we show that Ig SF11 functions through homophilic interactions. Additionally, we demonstrate that impaired osteoclast differentiation in Ig SF11-deficient cells is rescued by full-length Ig SF11 and that the Ig SF11-PSD-95 interaction requires the 75 C-terminal amino acids of Ig SF11.
