| 1 | Toxicity of cadmium and its competition with mineral nutrients for uptake by plants:A review显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)is a toxic heavy metal occurring in the environment naturally and is also generated through various anthropogenic sources and acts as a pollutant.Human health is affected by Cd pollution in farmland soils because food is the main source of Cd intake in the non-smoking population.For crops,Cd toxicity may result from a disturbance in uptake and translocation of mineral nutrients and disturbance in plant metabolism,inhibiting plant growth and development.However,plants have Cd tolerance mechanisms,including restricted Cd uptake,decreased Cd root-to-shoot translocation,enhanced antioxidant enzyme activities,and increased production of phytochelatins.Furthermore,optimal supply of mineral nutrients is one of the strategies to alleviate the damaging effects of Cd on plants and to avoid its entry into the food chain.The emerging molecular knowledge contributes to understanding Cd uptake,translocation,and remobilization in plants.In this review,Cd toxicity and tolerance mechanisms,agricultural practices to minimize Cd accumulation,Cd competition with essential elements(calcium,copper,iron,zinc,and manganese),and genes associated with Cd uptake are discussed in detail,especially regarding how these mineral nutrients and genes play a role in decreasing Cd uptake and accumulation in crop plants. | Shiyu QIN Hongen LIU Zhaojun NIE Zed RENGEL Wei GAO Chang LI Peng ZHAO | 2020 | Pedosphere2020,30,2: | 20 |
| 2 | Genetic parameter estimates for growth traits at early stage of Pacific abalone,Haliotis discus hannai Ino显示文摘Heritability and genetic and phenotypic correlations were estimated for juvenile growth traits of Pacific abalone Haliotis discus hannai Ino.The estimates were calculated from shell length and shell width measurements on progeny resulting from 12 half-sib families and 36 full-sib families obtained using artificial fertilization of mating three females to each male.The measurements were taken at 10,20 and 30 d after fertilization.It was found that heritability estimates based on sire component ranged from 0.23 to 0.36 for shell length and 0.21 to 0.32 for shell width.Heritability estimates from dam component were larger than those from sire component at three ages,indicating presence of maternal effects,non-additive genetic effects and common environmental effects.Phenotypic correlations were significant at three ages(P < 0.05),with values of 0.92,0.93 and 0.92,respectively.Genetic correlations from the paternal half-sib correlation analysis were highly positive at three ages,with values of 0.50,0.78 and 0.81,respectively.The results suggest that selective breeding is an effective approach to improving growth traits of Pacific abalone stocks. | DENG Yuewen LIU Xiao ZHANG Guofan ZHAO Hongen | 2007 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2007,26,5: | 13 |
| 3 | Analysis of plant remains at the Neolithic Yangjia Site, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province (East China)显示文摘According to archaeological investigation and preliminary excavation, the Yangjia Site, located in the northern Taihu Lake region, at Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, is a Neolithic archaeological site dominated by cultural remains attributed to the late Majiabang Culture(6270–5920 cal. a BP). Here a systematic archaeobotanical study was conducted to investigate vegetation landscape, environmental characteristics and rice agriculture in the prehistoric northern Taihu Lake area. The abundance, frequency and standard density of charred rice were the highest of all of the remains of the seed plants unearthed. In addition, a variety of wetland weeds, such as Haloragaceae, Cyperaceae, Carex sp., and Oxalis corniculata, were found. Pollen and phytoliths recorded that the evergreen-deciduous broadleaf mixed forest(represented by Quercus and Castanopsis) tends to decrease, while Poaceae was the most significant of the terrestrial herbs, water area expanded and water activities strengthened, indicating generally warm and humid conditions at the Yangjia Site during the late Majiabang Culture. | 14 | Foliar application of zinc promotes cadmium absorption by increasing expression of cadmium transporter genes and activities of antioxidative enzymes in winter wheat显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)is a deleterious non-essential metal in plants.To elucidate the mechanisms by which zinc(Zn)application alleviates cadmium(Cd)toxicity in wheat,we characterized plant growth,antioxidant system,leaf cell ultrastructure,and Cd transporter gene expression in winter wheat under Cd exposure(50μmol L^(-1)Cd)with foliar Zn application in a hydroponic experiment.Results showed that Zn addition(Zn+Cd)or pretreatment(pre-Zn+Cd)at 2 g L^(-1)as Zn_(S)O_(4)·7H_(2)O significantly exacerbated Cd-induced growth inhibition and diminished root morphological parameters,root cell viability,and chlorophyll content.In addition,the Cd content increased in roots and shoots in the Zn+Cd and pre-Zn+Cd treatments,but the Cd translocation factor decreased,when compared to the treatment without Zn application.After Zn application,the Cd content increased in the root cell wall fraction but decreased in the soluble fraction.The activities of antioxidative enzymes(superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,and catalase)and the contents of non-enzymatic antioxidants(malondialdehyde,ascorbic acid,and glutathione)significantly increased in the roots and shoots of wheat after Cd exposure,particularly in the Zn+Cd and pre-Zn+Cd treatments.Gene expression analysis showed that five genes(TaHMA2,TRIAE5370,TCONS1113,TRIAE5770,TRIAE1060,and TCONS5200)participated in root absorption of Cd,whereas TCONS5200 and TRIAE5660 contributed to Cd transfer to shoots.Foliar application of Zn increased the number of chloroplasts,but the chloroplast structure was destroyed in the Zn+Cd treatment.These results indicated that 2 g L^(-1)ZnSO4·7H2O increased the toxicity of 50μmol L^(-1)Cd.Increased Cd uptake due to the upregulated expression of Cd transporter genes and increased reactive oxygen species accumulation may be the reasons why Zn application aggravated Cd toxicity. | Shiyu QIN Yafang XU Hongen LIU Peng ZHAO | 2023 | Pedosphere2023,33,4: | 0 |
| 15 | A production prediction method of single well in water flooding oilfield based on integrated temporal convolutional network model显示文摘Since the oil production of single well in water flooding reservoir varies greatly and is hard to predict, an oil production prediction method of single well based on temporal convolutional network(TCN) is proposed and verified. This method is started from data processing, the correspondence between water injectors and oil producers is determined according to the influence radius of the water injectors, the influence degree of a water injector on an oil producer in the month concerned is added as a model feature, and a Random Forest(RF) model is built to fill the dynamic data of water flooding. The single well history is divided into 4 stages according to its water cut, that is, low water cut, middle water cut, high water cut and extra-high water cut stages. In each stage, a TCN based prediction model is established, hyperparameters of the model are optimized by the Sparrow Search Algorithm(SSA). Finally, the models of the 4 stages are integrated into one whole-life model of the well for production prediction.
