| 2 | Geochronology and Petrogenesis of Triassic High-K Calc-Alkaline Granodiorites in the East Kunlun Orogen,West China:Juvenile Lower Crustal Melting during Post-Collisional Extension显示文摘This study reports zircon U-Pb and Hf isotopes and whole-rock elemental data for granodiorites from the East Kunlun orogen. The zircon U-Pb dating defines their crystallization age of 235 Ma. The rocks are characterized by high-K calc-alkaline, magnesian and metaluminous with(K_2O+Na_2O)=6.38 wt.%–7.01 wt.%, Mg#=42–50 [Mg#=100×molar Mg/(Mg+Fe OT)], A/CNK=0.92–0.98, coupled with high εHf(t) values from-0.65 to-1.80. The rocks were derived from partial melting of a juvenile mafic crustal source within normal crust thickness. The juvenile lower crust was generated by mixing lithospheric mantle-derived melt(55%–60%) and supracrustal melt(40%–45%) during the seafloor subduction. | 3 | Research on the carbon isotopic composition of organic matter from Lake Chenghai and Caohai Lake sediments显示文摘The carbon isotopic composition of organic matter from lake sediments has been extensively used to infer variations in productivity. In this paper, based on the study of the contents and δ13C values of organic matter in different types of lakes, it has been found that δ13C values of organic matter have different responses to lake productivity in different lakes. As to the lakes dominated by aqutic macrophytes such as Lake Caohai, organic matter becomes enriched in 13C with increasing productivity. As to the lakes dominated by aquatic algae such as Lake Chenghai, δ13C values of organic matter decrease with increasing productivity, and the degradation of aquatic algae is the main factor leading to the decrease of δ13C values of organic matter with increasing productivity. | 5 | Effect of calcium citrate on bone integration in a rabbit femur defect model显示文摘Objective:To explore effect of calcium citrate on bone integration in a rabbit femur defect model, and to compare the bone formation with different sizes by radiological and histological study. Methods:Twenty-four male Japanese white rabbits were randomly divided into three groups (Group A.B.C)in this study.Under anesthesia,defects of four sizes(1.2,1.5,2.0 and 2.5 mm) were created in each of the rabbits.Commercially pure calcium citrate powder was placed inside the medullary compartment of the femur(Experimental),while in the contralateral femur(Control) nothing was implanted.The defects were analyzed using radiography and histological analysis by using Imagepro-Plus 6.0 software after animal was sacrificed at 4th(Group A),6th(Group B) and 8th(Group C) weeks postoperatively.Four samples were analyzed for each size of defect and each healing period.Results:The histological and the radiologic evaluation were performed after sacrification of all rabbits on postoperative 4th and 6th weeks,It showed significant difference between the experimental group and the control group when these defects were less than or equal to 2.0 mm.No statistical difference was observed when these defects were larger than 2.0 mm at all healing periods except at the 4th week.Conclusions:Calcium citrate affects the early periods of hone defects healing mechanism in Japanese white rabbits positively,especially when the defect is not too large,We suggest further studies on calcium citrate to determine the effects of various dosages,administration ways and the experimental time on the bone defects. | Wei Zhang Wei Wang Qing-Yu Chen Zhong-Qin Lin Shao-Wen Cheng Dong-Quan Kou Xiao-Zhou Ying Yue Shen Xiao-Jie Cheng Peng-Fei Nie Xiu-Cui Li Ferdinand An Rompis Hang Huang Hua Zhang Zhong-Lin Mu Lei Peng | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012,5,4: | 3 |
| 6 | Nodeless superconductivity in the kagome metal CsV_(3)Sb_(5)显示文摘The recently discovered kagome metal series AV3Sb5(A=K, Rb, Cs) exhibits topologically nontrivial band structures, chiral charge order and superconductivity, presenting a unique platform for realizing exotic electronic states. The nature of the superconducting state and the corresponding pairing symmetry are key questions that demand experimental clarification. Here, using a technique based on the tunneling diode oscillator, the magnetic penetration depth ?λ(T) of CsV3Sb5 was measured down to 0.07 K. A clear exponential behavior in ?λ(T) with marked deviations from a T or T2 temperature dependence was observed at low temperatures, indicating an absence of nodal quasiparticles. Temperature dependence of the superfiuid density and electronic specific heat can be described by two-gap s-wave superconductivity, consistent with the presence of multiple Fermi surfaces in CsV3Sb5. | 10 | Litter Decomposition of Emergent Plants along an Elevation Gradient in Wetlands of Yunnan Plateau,China显示文摘The decomposition of plant litter is a key process in the flows of energy and nutrients in ecosystems. However, the response of litter decomposition to global climate warming in plateau wetlands remains largely unknown. In this study, we conducted a one-year litter decomposition experiment along an elevation gradient from 1891 m to 3260 m on the Yunnan Plateau of Southwest China, using different litter types to determine the influences of climate change, litter quality and microenvironment on the decomposition rate. The results showed that the average decomposition rate(K) increased from 0.608 to 1.152, and the temperature sensitivity of litter mass losses was approximately 4.98%/℃ along the declining elevation gradient. Based on a correlation analysis, N concentrations and C︰N ratios in the litter were the best predictors of the decomposition rate, with significantly positive and negative correlations, respectively. Additionally, the cumulative effects of decomposition were clearly observed in the mixtures of Scirpus tabernaemontani and Zizania caduciflora. Moreover, the litter decomposition rate in the water was higher than that in the sediment, especially in high-elevation areas where the microenvironment was significantly affected by temperature. | 17 | Tailoring MgH_(2) for hydrogen storage through nanoengineering and catalysis显示文摘Hydrogen energy has been recognized as “Ultimate Power Source” in the 21st century, which could be the best solution to the looming energy crisis and climate degeneration in the near future. Due to its high safety, low price, abundant resources and decent hydrogen storage density, magnesium based solid-state hydrogen storage materials are becoming the leading candidate for onboard hydrogen storage. However,the high operation temperature and slow reaction rate of MgH_(2), as a result of the large formation enthalpy and high reaction activation energy,respectively, are the first and most difficult problems we need to face and overcome to realize its industrialization. Herein, a state-of-the-art review on tailoring the stable thermodynamics and sluggish kinetics of hydrogen storage in MgH_(2), particularly through nanoengnieering and catalysis is presented, aiming to provide references and solutions for its promotion and application.
