5Percent free prostate-specific antigen for prostate cancer diagnosis in Chinese men with a PSA of 4.0-10.0 ng/mL:Results from the Chinese Prostate Cancer Consortium显示文摘Objective:To test the diagnostic performance of percent free prostate-specific antigen(%fPSA)in predicting any prostate cancer(PCa)and high-grade prostate cancer(HGPCa)in a retrospective multi-center biopsy cohort with a PSA level of 4.0e10.0 ng/mL in China.Methods:Consecutive patients with a PSA of 4.0-10.0 ng/mL who underwent transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy were enrolled at 16 Chinese medical centers from January 1st,2010 to December 31st,2013.Total and free serum PSA determinations were performed using three types of electro-chemiluminescence immunoassays recalibrated to the World Health Organization(WHO)standard.The diagnostic accuracy of PSA,%fPSA,and %fPSA in combination with PSA(%fPSA t PSA)was determined using the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC).Results:A total of 2310 consecutive men with PSA levels between 4.0 and 10.0 ng/mL were included,and the detection rate of PCa was 25.1%.The AUC of%fPSA and %fPSA t PSA in predicting any PCa was superior to PSA alone in men aged≥60 years(0.623 vs.0.534,p<0.0001)but not in men aged 40e59 years(0.517 vs.0.518,p=0.939).Similar result was yield in predicting HGPCa.Conclusion:In a clinical setting of Chinese men with 4.0e10.0 ng/mL PSA undergoing initial prostate biopsy,adding %fPSA to PSA can moderately improve the diagnostic accuracy for any PCa and HGPCa compared with PSA alone in patients≥60 but not in patients aged 40-59 years.Rui Chen Liping Xie Xiaobing Cai Yiran Huang Liqun Zhou Lulin Ma Xu Gao Chuanliang Xu Shancheng Ren Pengfei Shao Danfeng Xu Kexin Xu Zhangqun Ye Chunxiao Liu Dingwei Ye Li Lu Qiang Fu Jianquan Hou Jianlin Yuan Dalin He Tie Zhou Fubo Wang Biming He Yinghao Sun 2015Asian Journal of Urology2015,2,2:8
6Deep-learning-assisted, two-stage phase control method for high-power mode-programmable orbital angular momentum beam generation显示文摘High-power mode-programmable orbital angular momentum(OAM)beams have received substantial attention in recent years.They are widely used in optical communication,nonlinear frequency conversion,and laser processing.To overcome the power limitation of a single beam,coherent beam combining(CBC)of laser arrays is used.However,in specific CBC systems used to generate structured light with a complex wavefront,eliminating phase noise and realizing flexible phase modulation proved to be difficult challenges.In this paper,we propose and demonstrate a two-stage phase control method that can generate OAM beams with different topological charges from a CBC system.During the phase control process,the phase errors are preliminarily compensated by a deep-learning(DL)network,and further eliminated by an optimization algorithm.Moreover,by modulating the expected relative phase vector and cost function,all-electronic flexible programmable switching of the OAM mode is realized.Results indicate that the proposed method combines the characteristics of DL for undesired convergent phase avoidance and the advantages of the optimization algorithm for accuracy improvement,thereby ensuring the high mode purity of the generated OAM beams.This work could provide a valuable reference for future implementation of high-power,fast switchable structured light generation and manipulation.TIANYUE HOU YI AN QI CHANG PENGFEI MA JUN LI LIANGJIN HUANG DONG ZHI JIAN WU RONGTAO SU YANXING MA PU ZHOU 2020Photonics Research2020,8,5:8
7Measurement of the fluidized velocity in gas-solid fluidized beds based on AE signal analysis by wavelet packet transform显示文摘An energy distribution theory was presented based on regular evolvement of energy fraction of acous-tic signals with fluidization velocity. Wavelet packet analysis was used in processing the acoustic sig-nals originated from particle impact on the wall of a fluidized bed. A new criterion of judging incipient fluidization(Umf) velocity and minimum turbulent velocity(Umt) was proposed according to the energy distribution theory. Experiments were performed with five groups of high density polyethylene(PE) particles and one bimodal PE to acquire incipient fluidization velocity and minimum turbulent velocity by using the criterion. 8Mapping the bathymetry of shallow coastal water using singleframe fine-resolution optical remote sensing imagery显示文摘This paper presents a bathymetry inversion method using single-frame fine-resolution optical remote sensing imagery based on ocean-wave refraction and shallow-water wave theory. First, the relationship among water depth, wavelength and wave radian frequency in shallow water was deduced based on shallow-water wave theory.Considering the complex wave distribution in the optical remote sensing imagery, Fast Fourier Transform(FFT)and spatial profile measurements were applied for measuring the wavelengths. Then, the wave radian frequency was calculated by analyzing the long-distance fluctuation in the wavelength, which solved a key problem in obtaining the wave radian frequency in a single-frame image. A case study was conducted for Sanya Bay of Hainan Island, China. Single-frame fine-resolution optical remote sensing imagery from Quick Bird satellite was used to invert the bathymetry without external input parameters. The result of the digital elevation model(DEM)was evaluated against a sea chart with a scale of 1:25 000. The root-mean-square error of the inverted bathymetry was 1.07 m, and the relative error was 16.2%. 10Effect of feeding Lactobacillus plantarum P-8 on the faecal microbiota of broiler chickens exposed to lincomycin显示文摘Poultry and eggs are nutritious and healthy foods that contain high-quality proteins and low levels of fat compared with other meats. Recent studies have shown that poultry performance is closely associated with colonic health. Antibiotics are commonly used in the poultry industry to control diseases and enhance survival rates. However, antibiotic use can also result in host gut dysbiosis and immune dysregulation. Such imbalances compromise poultry health and growth performance. Thus, our study investigated the effect of Lactobacillus(L.) plantarum P-8 on the gut microbiome of chickens co-inoculated with the antibiotic lincomycin. Principal coordinate analysis showed that L. plantarum P-8 treatment shifted the faecal bacterial population structure. At the metagenomic level, the Clusters of Orthologous Groups(COGs) functional categories of P, C, N and A were overrepresented in the probiotic group. Additionally, the relative gene abundances of metabolic pathways involved in flagellar assembly,bacterial chemotaxis, nitrogen metabolism, sulfur metabolism, cofactor and vitamin biosynthesis were also higher in the probiotic group than the control; in contrast genes related to galactose degradation,carbon fixation, multiple sugar transport systems and ribosomes were underrepresented in the probiotic group. Our data suggest that feeding L. plantarum P-8 has the potential to improve metabolic activity and nutrient utilization of poultry. 11Validation and application of water levels derived from Sentinel-3A for the Brahmaputra River显示文摘For the first time ever, this study aims at applying Sentinel-3 A to the Great Brahmaputra River(GBR) and validating water levels derived from this newly-launched altimetry satellite mission. The GBR is divided into three primary parts:(1) a large section of the Yarlung Zangbo River in China, also termed the Upper Brahmaputra River(UBR) in this study, featured by high elevation,complex terrain, narrow river widths(from less than 100 to 400 m), and limited in situ measurements;(2) the Middle Brahmaputra River(MBR) with widths varying from ~400 m to ~1 km;(3) the Lower Brahmaputra River(LBR), dominated by braided channels with wide river channels(up to several kilometers). For the altimetry data, both waveform retracking and hooking effect correction were applied to mitigate the influence caused by land contamination and to improve the accuracy of water level retrievals. Water levels were derived from 41 virtual stations(VSs) across the GBR and different retracking algorithms were compared with in situ data from two gauging stations in the UBR. Time series of altimetry-based water levels were categorized into three types based on the quality: no data(type 1), degraded(type 2), and good(type 3). Results showed that the VSs(type 1) only existed in the mountainous regions, accounting for ~ a half of the total in the UBR. Validation with the gauged water levels showed that the TIC algorithm performed best among all of the retrackers applied, followed by the Ice-1 algorithm. The standard deviation of the difference between the gauged and TIC-derived water levels ranged from 0.41 to 0.76 m among four different VSs(type 3). In addition, the quality of VSs in the LBR was best, followed by the MBR. 12An improved modeling of precipitation phase and snow in the Lancang River Basin in Southwest China显示文摘Precipitation phase(e.g., rainfall and snowfall) and snow(e.g., snowpack and snowmelt runoff) in high-mountain regions may largely affect runoff generation, which is critical to water supply, hydropower generation, agricultural irrigation, and ecosystems downstream. Accurately modeling precipitation phase and snow is therefore fundamental to developing a better understanding of hydrological processes for high-mountain regions and their lower reaches. The Lancang River(LR, or the Upper Mekong River)in China, among the most important transboundary rivers originating from the Tibetan Plateau, features active dam construction and complex water resources allocation of various stakeholders in Southeast Asian countries under climate change. This study aims to improve precipitation phase and snow modeling for the LR basin with a hydrological model and multisource remotely sensed data. Results show that joint use of the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS) land surface temperature product with high spatial resolution(1 km×1 km) and an air temperature product can more precisely distinguish precipitation phase than air and wet-bulb temperature products in the LR basin. Snowfall and snowmelt were found to be controlled primarily by rainfall and snowfall temperature thresholds in snow modeling. The rainfall and snowfall temperature thresholds derived from the hydrological model through calibration with remotely sensed snowpack at basin scales were considerably lower than those derived from in situ observations. Rainfall and snowfall temperature thresholds derived from in situ observations could lead to the overestimation of snowmelt runoff due mostly to the lack of representation of point-based measurements at basin scales. 14Zinc finger transcription factor Sp7/Osterix acts on bone formation and regulates col10a1a expression in zebrafish显示文摘Sp7/Osterix as a zinc finger transcription factor is expressed specifically in osteoblasts.Embryonic lethality of Sp7 knockout mice,however,has prevented from examining the functions of Sp7 in osteoblast and bone formation in live animals.Here we used TALEN,a versatile genome-editing tool,to generate one zebrafish sp7 mutant line.Homozygous sp7-/- mutant zebrafish are able to survive to adulthood.Alizarin Red staining and Micro-CT analysis showed that sp7-/- larvae and adult fish fail to develop normal opercula,and display curved tail fins and severe craniofacial malformation,while Alcian Blue staining showed no obvious cartilage defects in sp7-/- fish.Quantitative RT-PCR showed that a number of osteoblast markers including spp1,phex,col1 ala,and col1a1 b are significantly down-regulated in sp7-/- fish.Furthermore,col10a1 a,whose ortholog is the cartilage marker in mice,was shown to be a novel downstream gene of Sp7 as an osteoblast marker in zebrafish.Together,these results suggest that Sp7 is required for zebrafish bone development and zebrafish sp7 mutants provide animal models for investigating novel aspects of bone development.Pengfei Niu Zhaomin Zhong Mingyong Wang Guodong Huang Shuhao Xu Yi HOU Yilin Yan Han Wang 2017Science Bulletin2017,62,3:4
15Nitrogen doped tin oxide nanostructured catalysts for selective electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to formate显示文摘Tin/tin oxide materials are key electrocatalysts for selective conversion of CO_2 to formate/formic acid.Herein we report a tin oxide material with nitrogen doping by using ammonia treatment at elevated temperature. The N doped material demonstrated enhanced electrocatalytic CO_2 reduction activity, showing high Faradaic efficiency(90%) for formate at -0.65 V vs. RHE with partial current density of 4 mA/cm^2.The catalysis was contributed to increased electron negativity of N atom compared to O atom. Additionally, the N-doped catalyst demonstrates sulfur tolerance with retained formate selectivity. 1617β-Estradiol Suppresses Cytotoxicity and Proliferative Capacity of Murine Splenic NK1.1^+ Cells显示文摘In order to clarify the effects of 17β-estradiol (E2) on natural killer (NK) cells and the possibly regulatory mechanisms, we obtained highly purified and viable NK cells from C57BL/6J mouse spleen by a magnetic cell sorter (MACS). These cells were treated with E2 and then their cytotoxicity and proliferative capacity were examined. To further investigate the mechanisms on the effect of E2 on NK cells, expressions of activation-associated markers (CD69, CD122) and inhibitory receptors (CD94, Ly49), and intracellular cytokine production were analyzed. At last, we performed the cDNA microarray to explore the possible involved genes. We found that E2 could suppress NK cell cytotoxicity and proliferative capacity in vitro. E2 reduced NK cell cytotoxicity and proliferative capacity, which may be through influencing the phenotypes and cytokine expression of NK cells, mainly involving CD94 and IFN-γ. 17Comprehensive investigation on producing high-power orbital angular momentum beams by coherent combining technology显示文摘High-power orbital angular momentum(OAM)beams have distinct advantages in improving capacity and data receiving for free-space optical communication systems at long distances.Utilizing the coherent combination of a beam array technique and helical phase approximation by a piston phase array,we have proposed a generating system for a novel high-power beam carrying OAM,which could overcome the power limitations of a common vortex phase modulator and a single beam.The characteristics of this generating method and the orthogonality of the generated OAM beams with different eigenstates have been theoretically analyzed and verified.Also a high-power OAM beam produced by coherent beam combination(CBC)of a six-element hexagonal fiber amplifier array has been experimentally implemented.Results show that the CBC technique utilized to control the piston phase differences among the array beams has a high efficiency of 96.3%.On the premise of CBC,we have obtained novel vortex beams carrying OAM of±1 by applying an additional piston phase array modulation on the corresponding beam array.The experimental results agree approximately with the theoretical analysis.This work could be beneficial to areas that need high-power OAM beams,such as ultra-long distance free-space optical communications,biomedical treatments,and powerful trapping and manipulation under deep potential wells.Dong Zhi Tianyue Hou Pengfei Ma Yanxing Ma Pu Zhou Rumao Tao Xiaolin Wang Lei Si 2019High Power Laser Science and Engineering2019,7,2:3

19Phonon scattering and exciton localization: molding exciton flux in two dimensional disorder energy landscape显示文摘Two dimensional excitonic devices are of great potential to overcome the dilemma of response time and integration in current generation of electron or/and photon based systems.The ultrashort diffusion length of exciton arising from ultrafast relaxation and low carrier mobility greatly discounts the performance of excitonic devices.Phonon scattering and exciton localization are crucial to understand the modulation of exciton flux in two dimensional disorder energy landscape,which still remain elusive.Here,we report an optimized scheme for exciton diffusion and relaxation dominated by phonon scattering and disorder potentials in WSe2 monolayers.The effective diffusion coefficient is enhanced by>200%at 280 K.The excitons tend to be localized by disorder potentials accompanied by the steadily weakening of phonon scattering when temperature drops to 260 K,and the onset of exciton localization brings forward as decreasing temperature.These findings identify that phonon scattering and disorder potentials are of great importance for long-range exciton diffusion and thermal management in exciton based systems,and lay a firm foundation for the development of functional excitonic devices.Pengfei Qi Yang Luo Beibei Shi Wei Li Donglin Liu Liheng Zheng Zhixin Liu Yanglong Hou Zheyu Fang 2021eLight2021,1,1:3
