| 1 | TiO_2-loaded activated carbon fiber:Hydrothermal synthesis,adsorption properties and photo catalytic activity under visible light irradiation显示文摘TiO_2-loaded activated carbon fibers(ACF) were prepared by a hydrothermal method.The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT1R) spectrometry and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS).SEM images showed that the TiO_2nanoparticles were deposited on the surface of ACF,and the particle size and loading amount of TiO_2were varied by changing the initial concentration of tetrabutyl titanate(TBOT).The results of an ash experiment showed that the loading amounts of TiO_2 were 18.4%,43.3%,52.5%,75.1%,and 91.1%for initial concentrations of TBOT of 0.07,014,0.21,0.28,and 0.35 mol/L,respectively.Physical interactions played an important role in the formation of TiO_2/ACF composite fibers that absorb UV and visible light.Compared with those of ACF,improved adsorption and photocatalytic activity toward Rhodamine B(RhB)were observed for TiO_2/ACF composite fiber.The Rhodamine B could be removed efficiently by TiO_2/ACF composite fibers,and the TiO_2 loading amount had a significant effect on the photocatalytic activity of TiO_2/ACF composite fibers. | Hao Meng Wei Hou Xinxin Xu Junli Xu Xia Zhang | 2014 | Particuology2014,12,3: | 10 |
| 2 | The role of RIP3 in cardiomyocyte necrosis induced by mitochondrial damage of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion显示文摘Myocardial damage caused by myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI)is difficult to be alleviated because cardiomyocyte necrosis is an irreversible and unregulated death form.Recently, necroptosis,a necrosis form caused by tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)and Fas ligand (FasL),was found to be regulated by receptor interacting protein 3 (RIP3)and RIP3-receptor interacting protein 1 (RIP1)-mixed lineage kinase domain like protein (MLKL)pathway.But it is unclear whether they also play a regulatory role in MIRI-induced necroptosis.Our previous results showed that in rat MIRI,RIP3 could translocate and express highly in mitochondria.Therefore,it is important to explore proteins that interact with RIP3 which was translocated to mitochondria.The aim of this study was to explore the role of RIP3 in cardiomyocyte necrosis induced by mitochondrial damage of hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R).Our results showed that H/R could cause RIP3-depended mitochondrial fragmentation and necrosis-based death;and RIP3-promoted H/R-induced necroptosis in H9c2 cells through increasing lactate dehydrogenase release and inhibiting cell viability.This process did not require RIP1 or MLKL but dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1),which was related to Drpl activation,reactive oxygen species elevation,and △Ψm decline.This study provides novel insights into the role of RIP3 in cardiomyocyte injury during H/R.RIP3 may serve as a potential target for the treatment of MIRI. | Huifang Hou Yongling Wang Qiong Li Zaibing Li Yan Teng Jingyu Li Xiaoying Wang Junli Chen Ning Huang | 2018 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,11: | 10 |
| 3 | Yangtze Three Gorges Reservoir, China: A holistic assessment of organic pollution, mutagenic effects of sediments and genotoxic impacts on fish显示文摘Besides obvious benefits,the Three Gorges Dam's construction resulted in new pollution scenarios with the potentials to threaten the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR) ecosystem.In order to record organic contamination,to find links to ecotoxicological impacts and to serve as reference for ensuing monitoring,several sites in the TGR area were screened applying the triad approach with additional lines-of-evidence as a holistic assessment method.Sediments and the benthic fish species Pelteobagrus vachellii were sampled in 2011 and 2012 to determine organic pollution levels,mutagenic potentials and genotoxic impacts.Two regional hot-spots near the cities of Chongqing and Kaixian were identified and further investigated in 2013.Only polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) could be detected in sediments in 2011(165–1653 ng/g),emphasizing their roles as key pollutants of the area.Their ubiquity was confirmed at Chongqing(150–433 ng/g) and Kaixian(127–590 ng/g) in2013.Concentrations were comparable to other major Chinese and German rivers.However,the immense sediment influx suggested a deposition of 216–636 kg PAH/day(0.2–0.6 mg PAH/(m2·day)),indicating an ecotoxicological risk.PAH source analysis highlighted primary impacts of combustion sources on the more industrialized upper TGR section,whereas petrogenic sources dominated the mid-low section.Furthermore,sediment extracts from several sites exhibited significant activities of frameshift promutagens in the Ames fluctuation assay.Additionally,significant genotoxic impairments in erythrocytes of P.vachellii were detected(Chongqing/Kaixian),demonstrating the relevance of genotoxicity as animportant mode of action in the TGR's fish.PAHs,their derivatives and non-target compounds are considered as main causative agents. | Tilman Floehr Bj?rn Scholz-Starke Hongxia Xiao Josef Koch Lingling Wu Junli Hou Anja Wolf Axel Bergmann Kerstin Bluhm Xingzhong Yuan Martina Ro?-Nickoll Andreas Sch?ffer Henner Hollert | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,12: | 9 |
| 4 | 17β-Estradiol Suppresses Cytotoxicity and Proliferative Capacity of Murine Splenic NK1.1^+ Cells显示文摘In order to clarify the effects of 17β-estradiol (E2) on natural killer (NK) cells and the possibly regulatory mechanisms, we obtained highly purified and viable NK cells from C57BL/6J mouse spleen by a magnetic cell sorter (MACS). These cells were treated with E2 and then their cytotoxicity and proliferative capacity were examined. To further investigate the mechanisms on the effect of E2 on NK cells, expressions of activation-associated markers (CD69, CD122) and inhibitory receptors (CD94, Ly49), and intracellular cytokine production were analyzed. At last, we performed the cDNA microarray to explore the possible involved genes. We found that E2 could suppress NK cell cytotoxicity and proliferative capacity in vitro. E2 reduced NK cell cytotoxicity and proliferative capacity, which may be through influencing the phenotypes and cytokine expression of NK cells, mainly involving CD94 and IFN-γ. | 8 | Ultrasound assisted crystallization of cephalexin monohydrate:Nucleation mechanism and crystal habit control显示文摘With the high-quality requirements for cephalexin monohydrate,developing a robust and practical crystallization process to produce cephalexin monohydrate with good crystal habit,appropriate aspect ratio and high bulk density as well as suitable flowability is urgently needed.This research has explored the influence of ultrasound on crystallization of cephalexin monohydrate in terms of nucleation mechanism and crystal habit control.The results of metastable zone width and induction time measurement showed the presence of ultrasound irradiation can narrow the metastable zone and shorten induction time.Cavitation phenomena generated by ultrasound were used to qualitatively explain the mechanism of ultrasound promoting nucleation of cephalexin monohydrate.Furthermore,on the basis of classical nucleation theory and induction time data,a series of nucleation-related parameters(such as crystalliquid interfacial tension,radius of the critical nucleus and etc.)were calculated and showed a decreasing trend under ultrasound irradiation.The diffusion coefficient of the studied system was also determined to increase by 72.73%under ultrasound.The changes in these parameters have quantitatively confirmed the mechanism of ultrasound influence on the nucleation process.In further,the calculated surface entropy factor has confirmed that the growth of cephalexin monohydrate follows continuous growth mechanism under the research conditions of this work.Through the exploration of crystallization conditions,it is found that suitable ultrasonic treatment,seeding,supersaturation control and removal of fine crystals are conducive to improving the quality of cephalexin monohydrate product.Optimizing the crystallization process coupled continuous ultrasound irradiation with fine-crystal dissolution policy has achieved the controllable production of monodisperse cephalexin monohydrate crystal with good performance. | Zeren Shang Mingchen Li Baohong Hou Junli Zhang Kuo Wang Weiguo Hu Tong Deng Junbo Gong Songgu Wu | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,1: | 1 |
