1Glacier changes during the last forty years in the Tarim Interior River basin,northwest China显示文摘By comparing digitized glacier outlines from the Chinese Glacier Inventory (CGI) during the 1960s-1970s and Landsat Enhance Thematic Mapper (ETM+) images from 1999 to 2001, we investigated changes for about 7665 alpine glaciers among 11665 glaciers in seven sub-basins of the Tarim Interior River basin (TIRB). The results showed that the total glacier area was reduced by 3.3% from the 1960s/ 1970s to 1999/2001 and area losses for 1-5 km2 glaciers accounted for 48.3% of the total glacier area loss in the TIRB. However, the glacier area reductions varied from 0.7% to 7.9% among the seven sub-basins of the TIRB during the study period. The glacier area changing with altitude showed that the maximum contribution of area shrinkage occurred at 4900-5400 m. Data from 25 meteorological stations in the TIRB showed increases in both the annual mean air temperature and annual precipitation during 1960-2000. This indicates that the glacier shrinkage in the TIRB over the last 40 years was largely due to regional climate warming that enhanced glacier ablation and overcame the effects of increased precipitation on the glacier mass balance.Donghui Shangguan Shiyin Liu Yongjian Ding Lianfu Ding Junli Xu Li Jing 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,6:26
2MiR-122 in hepatic function and liver diseases显示文摘As the most abundant liver-specific microRNA,mi-croRNA-122(miR-122)is involved in various physio-logical processes in hepatic function as well as in liver pathology.There is now compelling evidence that miR-122,as a regulator of gene networks and pathways in hepatocytes,plays a central role in diverse aspects of hepatic function and in the progress of liver diseases.This liver-enriched transcription factors-regulated miRNA promotes differentiation of hepatocytes and regulates lipid metabolism.With regard to liver diseases,miR-122 was shown to stimulate hepatitis C virus(HCV)replication through a unique and unusual interaction with two binding sites in the 5′-UTR of HCV genome to mediate the stability of the viral RNA,whereas inhibit the expression and replication of hepatitis B virus(HBV)by a miR-122-cylin G1/p53-HBV enhancer regulatory pathway.In addition,miR-122 acts as a suppressor of cell prolif-eration and malignant transformation of hepatocytes with remarkable tumor inhibition activity.Notably,a clinical trial targeting miR-122 with the anti-miR-122 oli-gonucleotides miravirsen,the first miRNA targeted drug,has been initiated for treatment of HCV infection.With further understanding of the comprehensive roles of miR-122 in hepatic functions and the mechanisms in-volved in miR-122 down-regulation in chronic hepatitis or hepatocellular carcinoma,miR-122 appears to be a promising candidate for effective therapeutic ap-proaches against tumor and infectious diseases.Jun Hu Yaxing Xu Junli Hao Saifeng Wang Changfei Li Songdong Meng 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,5:22
3Natural Variation in CCD4 Promoter Underpins Species-Specific Evolution of Red Coloration in Citrus Peel显示文摘Carotenoids and apocarotenoids act as phytohormones and volatile precursors that influence plant development and confer aesthetic and nutritional value critical to consumer preference.Citrus fruits display considerable natural variation in carotenoid and apocarotenoid pigments.In this study,using an integrated genetic approach we revealed that a 5;c/s-regulatory change at CCD4b encoding CAROTENOID CLEAVAGE DIOXYGENASE 4b is a major genetic determinant of natural variation in C3 0 apocarotenoids responsible for red coloration of citrus peel.Functional analyses demonstrated that in addition the known role in synthesizing 3-citraurin,CCD4b is also responsible for the production of another important C3 0 apocarotenoid pigment,p-citraurinene.Furthermore,analyses of the CCD4b promoter and transcripts from various citrus germplasm accessions established a tight correlation between the presence of a putative 5'c/s-regulatory enhancer within an MITE transposon and the enhanced allelic expression of CCD4b in C3 0 apocarotenoid-rich red-peeled accessions.Phylogenetic analysis provided further evidence that functional diversification of CCD4b and naturally occurring variation of the CCD4b promoter resulted in the stepwise evolution of red peels in mandarins and their hybrids.Taken together,our findings provide new insights into the genetic and evolutionary basis of apocarotenoid diversity in plants,and would facilitate breeding efforts that aim to improve the nutritional and aesthetic value of citrus and perhaps other fruit crops.Xiongjie Zheng Kaijie Zhu Quan Sun Weiyi Zhang Xia Wang Hongbo Cao Meilian Tan Zongzhou Xie Yunliu Zeng Junli Ye Lijun Chai Qiang Xu Zhiyong Pan Shunyuan Xiao Paul D.Fraser Xiuxin Deng 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,9:18

5TiO_2-loaded activated carbon fiber:Hydrothermal synthesis,adsorption properties and photo catalytic activity under visible light irradiation显示文摘TiO_2-loaded activated carbon fibers(ACF) were prepared by a hydrothermal method.The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT1R) spectrometry and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS).SEM images showed that the TiO_2nanoparticles were deposited on the surface of ACF,and the particle size and loading amount of TiO_2were varied by changing the initial concentration of tetrabutyl titanate(TBOT).The results of an ash experiment showed that the loading amounts of TiO_2 were 18.4%,43.3%,52.5%,75.1%,and 91.1%for initial concentrations of TBOT of 0.07,014,0.21,0.28,and 0.35 mol/L,respectively.Physical interactions played an important role in the formation of TiO_2/ACF composite fibers that absorb UV and visible light.Compared with those of ACF,improved adsorption and photocatalytic activity toward Rhodamine B(RhB)were observed for TiO_2/ACF composite fiber.The Rhodamine B could be removed efficiently by TiO_2/ACF composite fibers,and the TiO_2 loading amount had a significant effect on the photocatalytic activity of TiO_2/ACF composite fibers.Hao Meng Wei Hou Xinxin Xu Junli Xu Xia Zhang 2014Particuology2014,12,3:10
6Genome-wide Characterization of cis-acting Elements in the Promoters of Key Carotenoid Pathway Genes from the Main Species of Genus Citrus显示文摘Carotenoids are indispensable for both human health and plant survival.Citrus,is one of the fruit crops richest in carotenoid compounds,with approximately 115 kinds of carotenoids;tremendous diversity in carotenoids composition and concentration exists among various species,showing different colors from nearly white to crimson.The carotenoid biosynthetic pathway and the key carotenogenic genes have been identified in citrus;however,the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain unclear.In this study,among the main species of genus Citrus(primitive,wild,and cultivated),we detected carotenoids in flavedo using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography,and analyzed variations in cis-acting elements in the promoters of key carotenoid pathway genes.Intriguingly,both carotenoid composition and content were generally increased during the evolution of citrus,and the corresponding variations in the promoters were identified,including the gain or loss of critical environmental stress-responsive elements and hormone-responsive elements,which are closely associated with carotenoid enhancement.In addition,pummelo has the most heat-responsive elements,but the Mangshan mandarin does not have this element in the promoters of PSY,which is highly related to their geographical origin and indicate that temperature is a critical environmental signal influencing carotenoid accumulation.Moreover,the abscisic acid-responsive motif was rich in almost all the seven species,but the ethylene-responsive motif was deficient,which demystified the unique phytohormone regulation mechanism of carotenoid accumulation in citrus.Overall,our study provides new insights into the molecular regulatory mechanism of carotenoid enhancement in the evolution of citrus,which can facilitate breeding and cultivation efforts to improve the nutritional quality and esthetic value in citrus and hopefully other fruit crops.Kaijie Zhu Qingjiang Wu Yue Huang Junli Ye Qiang Xu Xiuxin Deng 2020Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6:8
7Generation of 33 fs pulses directly from a Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:CaYAlO4 laser显示文摘We experimentally demonstrated a diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked femtosecond laser with a Yb:CaYAlO4 crystal as the gain medium. Pulse duration as short as 33 fs was obtained directly from the oscillator at a repetition rate of 115 MHz. The central wavelength was at 1059 nm with a spectral bandwidth of 49 nm. 8Severity of early allograft dysfunction following donation after circulatory death liver transplantation:a multicentre study显示文摘Background:Early allograft dysfunction(EAD)is associated with decreased graft and patient survival rates.This study aimed to identify the severity of EAD and develop a predictive model for EAD after donation after circulatory death(DCD)liver transplantation(LT).Furthermore,the influence of operative time on EAD incidence was also evaluated.Methods:In this retrospective,multicentre cohort study,nomograms were established based on a single-centre training cohort(n=321)and validated in a 3-center validation cohort(n=501).Results:The incidence rate of EAD was 46.4%(149/321)in the training cohort and 40.5%(203/501)in the validation cohort.Of the 149 EAD patients in the training cohort,77 patients with either elevated alanine aminotransferase(ALT)or aspartate aminotransferase(AST)were classified as having EAD type A,and the rest of the EAD patients were classified as having EAD type B.Recipients with EAD type B had lower graft and patient survival rates than recipients with EAD type A(P=0.043 and 0.044,respectively).We further developed a nomogram to predict EAD(graft weight,cold ischemia time,donor age,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score)and another nomogram to predict EAD type B(graft weight,cold ischemia time,MELD score).The nomograms for the prediction of EAD and EAD type B had good discrimination[concordance index(C-index)=0.712(0.666-0.758),0.707(0.641-0.773)]and calibration[Hosmer-Lemeshow(HL)P=0.384,P=0.425]in the validation cohort.An increased operative time(>6 h)was associated with increased EAD and EAD type B incidence in the high-risk group(P=0.005,P=0.020,respectively).Conclusions:EAD type B was associated with decreased graft and patient survival rates.The novel nomograms effectively predicted the incidence of EAD and EAD type B in DCD LT patients.Kun Wang Di Lu Yuhui Liu Wangyao Li Li Zhuang Zhenyu Ma Qinfen Xie Binhua Pan Yichao Wu Junli Chen Lidan Lin Xiaowen Feng Qiang Wei Xuyong Wei Haiyang Xie Zhengxin Wang Shusen Zheng Xiao Xu 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,1:4

11Effects of tide-surge interactions on storm surges along the coast of the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea显示文摘A two-dimensional coupled tide-surge model was used to investigate the effects of tide-surge interactions on storm surges along the coast of the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea. In order to estimate the impacts of tide-surge interactions on storm surge elevations, Typhoon 7203 was assumed to arrive at 12 different times, with all other conditions remaining constant. This allowed simulation of tide and total water levels for 12 separate cases. Numerical simulation results for Yingkou, Huludao, Shijiusuo, and Lianyungang tidal stations were analyzed. Model results showed wide variations in storm surge elevations across the 12 cases. The largest difference between 12 extreme storm surge elevation values was of up to 58 cm and occurred at Yingkou tidal station. The results indicate that the effects of tide-surge interactions on storm surge elevations are very significant. 13Correlation between radiologic features on contrastenhanced CT and pathological tumor grades in pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms显示文摘Contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)contributes to the increasing detection of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms(PNENs).Nevertheless,its value for differentiating pathological tumor grades is not well recognized.In this report,we have conducted a retrospective study on the relationship between the 2017 World Health Organization(WHO)classification and CT imaging features in 94 patients.Most of the investigated features eventually provided statistically significant indicators for discerning PNENs G3 from PNENs G1/G2,including tumor size,shape,margin,heterogeneity,intratumoral blood vessels,vascular invasion,enhancement pattern in both contrast phases,enhancement degree in both phases,tumor-to-pancreas contrast ratio in both phases,common bile duct dilatation,lymph node metastases,and liver metastases.Ill-defined tumor margin was an independent predictor for PNENs G3 with the highest area under the curve(AUC)of 0.906 in the multivariable logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.The portal enhancement ratio(PER)was shown the highest AUC of 0.855 in terms of quantitative features.Our data suggest that the traditional contrastenhanced CT still plays a vital role in differentiation of tumor grades and heterogeneity analysis prior to treatment.Wenbin Xu Han Yan Lulu Xu Mingna Li Wentao Gao Kuirong Jiang Junli Wu Yi Miao 2021The Journal of Biomedical Research2021,35,3:2

15Nutrient value of wild fodder species and the implications for improving the diet of mithun (Bos frontalis) in Dulongjiang area, Yunnan Province, China显示文摘Wild fodder plants are valuable because they provide an important livestock feed resource globally,especially for smallholder farmers,and have important roles in natural resource management.In-depth knowledge of wild forage plants can motivate local people for feed resource and habitat conservation of threatened herbivores such as Mithun(Bos frontalis).Mithun occur in small patches in the mountains of Dulongjiang,nearby villagers domesticated this animal but left animal to freely graze in the mountains.Many fodder plants occur in these mountains,however,little is known about their nutritional value.We conducted an ethnobotanical survey to document important wild fodder plants consumed by mithun in the Dulongjiang Township.The nutritional content of 21 highly mentioned wild fodder plants in an ethnobotanical survey was examined.Laboratory analysis showed that Fagopyrum dibotrys were the fodder species with the highest crude protein(CP)content(26.89%),followed by Polygonum molle(21.88%)and Hydrangea longipes(21.12%).Synthesis of relative feed value index and grey relational grade,P.molle,H.longipes and Tetrastigma obtectum were ranked the top three nutritional fodders.There was a significant difference between 21 species on their in vitro digestibility and the most highly digestible fodder species was Elatostema hookerianum.Linear model analysis on relationship between frequency of citation of 21 wild forage plants by local farmers and their nutrient composition showed that the frequency was significantly positively correlated with the nutritional value of the feed(R2?0.28,P<0.05).We concluded that these species have high nutritional values to improve mithun production in integrated crop-livestock systems.Fodder species or mixtures of species with useful nutritional characters could be cultivated to improve livestock productivity,habitat conservation including that of mithun and wild forage resource management.Yanfei Geng Sailesh Ranjitkar Qiaoshun Yan Zhijun He Baqi Su Shengtao Gao Junli Niu Dengpan Bu Jianchu Xu 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,6:2

18Dexmedetomidine maintains blood-brain barrier integrity by inhibiting Drp1-related endothelial mitochondrial dysfunction in ischemic stroke显示文摘Stroke is the second leading cause of death and long-term disability worldwide,which lacks effective treatment.Perioperative stroke is associated with much higher rates of mortality and disability.The neuroprotective role of dexmedetomidine(Dex),a highly selective agonist of alpha2-adrenergic receptor,has been reported in a stroke rat model,and it was found that pretreatment of Dex before stroke could alleviate blood–brain barrier(BBB)breakdown.However,the underlying mechanisms are still unknown.As the brain endothelial cells are the main constituents of BBB and in high demand of energy,mitochondrial function of endothelial cells plays an important role in the maintenance of BBB.Given that dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1)is a protein mediating mitochondrial fission,with mitochondrial fusion that balances mitochondrial morphology and ensures mitochondria function,the present study was designed to investigate the possible role of Drp1 in endothelial cells involved in the neuroprotective effects of Dex in ischemic stroke.Our results showed that preconditioning with Dex reduced infarction volume,alleviated brain water content and BBB damage,and improved neurological scores in middle cerebral artery occlusion rats.Meanwhile,Dex enhanced cell activity and decreased cell apoptosis in oxygen-glucose deprivation human brain microvascular endothelial cells in vitro.These protective effects of Dex were correlated with the mitochondrial morphology integrality of endothelial cells,mediated by increased phosphorylation of serine 637 in Drp1,and could be reversed byα2-adrenergic receptor antagonist Yohimbine and AMP-activated protein kinase inhibitor Compound C.These findings suggest new molecular pathways involved in the neuroprotective effects of Dex in ischemic stroke.As Dex is routinely used as a sedative drug clinically,our findings provide molecular evidence that it has perioperative neuroprotection from ischemic stroke.Wei Zhou Yunchun Zhang Yingfu Jiao Wen Yin Haiping Dong Saihong Xu Dan Tang Junli Jiang Jianlin Shao Zhenhong Wang Weifeng Yu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,9:2
19A facile ionic liquid approach to prepare cellulose fiber with good mechanical properties directly from corn stalks显示文摘It is very difficult to directly spin the lignocellulose without pretreatment.Ionic liquids(ILs)are promising solvent to dissolve lignocellulose to prepare cellulose fiber.However,the degree of cellulose polymerization(DP)is reduced when lignocellulose is dissolved in ILs,and the lignin removal rate is low.The elongation at break and tensile strength of the fibers obtained by spinning the lignocellulose dissolved in ILs are poor.In this paper,preparing cellulose fiber directly from lignocellulose based on dissolving corn stalk via[C4mim]Cl-L-arginine binary system is achieved.It shows that the removal rate of lignin can reach 92.35%and the purity of cellulose can reach 85.32%after corn stalk was dissolved at 150℃C for 11.5 h when the mass fraction of arginine is 2.5%.The elongation at break of fiber reached 10.12%and the tensile strength reached 420 MPa.It is mainly due to the fact that L-arginine not only inhibits the degradation of cellulose but also promotes the delignination.Without any pulping or pretreatment,preparing cellulose fibers via direct dissolution and extrusion may provide a simple and effective way to prepare many novel cellulose materials.Jiming Yang Xingmei Lu Yanqiang Zhang Junli Xu Yongqing Yang Qing Zhou 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,2:2
20Solubility determination and thermodynamic modeling of bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate(BHET)in different solvents显示文摘Studies on the degradation process of waste polyethylene terephthalate(PET)have become increasingly mature,but there are relatively few studies on the separation of degradation products.The products contain many components and the separation of which is difficult.Therefore,the study on phase equilibrium thermodynamics of bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate(BHET)is of great theoretical significance and practical value to provide basic data for the BHET crystallization separation.In this work,the degraded products were purified and characterized.The solubility of BHET in methanol,ethanol,ethylene glycol,water and the mixture of ethylene glycol+water were determined by static method.The experimental results were correlated with different models,such as ideal solution(IS)model,λh equation,Apelblat equation and NRTL model.Based on the van’t Hoff equation,the mixing Gibbs energy,enthalpy and entropy were calculated.From this work,the basic data which can be used to guide the crystallization process of BHET were obtained,including solubility data,correlation model and thermodynamic properties.Haoyu Yao Dongxia Yan Xingmei Lu Qing Zhou Yinan Bao Junli Xu 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,5:1
