| 2 | Changing trends of disease burden of gastric cancer in China from 1990 to 2019 and its predictions:Findings from Global Burden of Disease Study显示文摘Objective:China is one of the countries with the heaviest burden of gastric cancer(GC)in the world.Understanding the epidemiological trends and patterns of GC in China can contribute to formulating effective prevention strategies.Methods:The data on incidence,mortality,and disability-adjusted life-years(DALYs)of GC in China from1990 to 2019 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study(2019).The estimated annual percentage change(EAPC)was calculated to evaluate the temporal trends of disease burden of GC,and the package Nordpred in the R program was used to perform an age-period-cohort analysis to predict the numbers and rates of incidence and mortality in the next 25 years.Results:The number of incident cases of GC increased from 317.34 thousand in 1990 to 612.82 thousand in2019,while the age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)of GC decreased from 37.56 per 100,000 in 1990 to 30.64 per 100,000 in 2019,with an EAPC of-0.41[95%confidence interval(95%CI):-0.77,-0.06].Pronounced temporal trends in mortality and DALYs of GC were observed.In the next 25 years,the numbers of new GC cases and deaths are expected to increase to 738.79 thousand and 454.80 thousand,respectively,while the rates of incidence and deaths should steadily decrease.The deaths and DALYs attributable to smoking were different for males and females.Conclusions:In China,despite the fact that the rates of GC have decreased during the past three decades,the numbers of new GC cases and deaths increased,and will continue to increase in the next 25 years.Additional strategies are needed to reduce the burden of GC,such as screening and early detection,novel treatments,and the prevention of risk factors. | Tongchao Zhang Hui Chen Xiaolin Yin Qiufeng He Jinyu Man Xiaorong Yang Ming Lu | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,1: | 19 |

It is based on the relationship between the peak-failure stress ratio and the normalized confining pressure as well as the relationship between the normalized peak-failure stress ratio and the exponent function of the intermediate principal stress ratio. This model can well predict the variations of the peak-failure stress ratio with the initial confining pressure and the intermediate principal stress ratio for different rockfill materials under different general stress paths. Comparisons of the measured and predicted results show that the peak-failure strength under the constant-p' and constant-b path is larger than that under the constant-σ'_3 and constant-b path. | 4 | Pigment analysis of a color-leaf mutant in Wandering Jew (Tradescantia fluminensis) irradiated by carbon ions显示文摘Many mutants of plant induced by heavy ion beam irradiation have been reported in recent years,but leaf anthocyan mutants induced by ion irradiation in evergreen were rarely found.In this study,a color-leaf mutant with purple leaves,stems and petals was isolated from clones of Wandering Jew irradiated by 95.8 MeV/u carbon ion beam.The concentration and histological distribution of leaf pigment were surveyed in wild type and mutant.In mutant,contents of total chlorophylls (Chl),chlorophyll a (Chl a),chlorophyll b (Chl b) and carotenoids (Car) decreased significantly,while concentration of the anthocyanins was 6.2-fold higher than that of wild type.Further composition analysis of anthocyanins by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) indicated that the purple pigmentation of leaves in mutant was caused by accumulation of petunidin anthocyanin.Microscopic examination showed that most petunidin anthocyanin accumulated in the lower epidermis,and little in vascular parenchyma of mutant,while there was no pigment in wild type.Meanwhile,in spongy parenchyma of mutant we observed little Chl,which the wild type abounds in.In conclusion,the color-leaf mutant of Wandering Jew induced by irradiation of carbon ions was improved in ornamental value,and it could be contribute to variation in level,component and distribution of foliar pigment.The possible mutation mechanisms were discussed. | HE Jinyu LU Dong YU Lixia LI Wenjian | 2011 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2011,22,2: | 4 |
| 5 | The normal cell proliferation and wound healing effect of polysaccharides from Ganoderma amboinense显示文摘To study the cell proliferation and wound healing activity of polysaccharides from Ganoderma amboinense(GAMPS),the polysaccharide was extracted by water extraction and alcohol precipitation method,and its monosaccharide composition and molecular weight were analyzed.The effects of different concentrations of GAMPS on the cell proliferation were determined by cell survival rate test,and the wound healing ability of GAMPS to NIH/3T3 cells was detected.The preliminary evaluation of the antioxidant ability of GAMPS was conducted by the oxygen radical absorbance capacity(ORAC).The results showed that the GAMPS was composed of glucose,mannose,and galactose at a molar ratio of 67.62:14.07:7.50,and the weightaverage molecular weights were 5.439×10^(6) and 1.704×10^(5) g/mol by using high-performance gel-permeation chromatography-multiple angle laser scatter(HPGPC-MALS)analysis.GAMPS(0.2μg/μL)showed the strongest proliferation ability to THP-1 cells,with cell survival rate of 178.7%.The wound healing effect of GAMPS(0.1μg/μL)was obvious on NIH/3T3 and 3.75μg/μL of GAMPS showed the strongest total antioxidant ability.All the results indicate that GAMPS promotes cell proliferation,and has cell wound healing effect and strong antioxidant activity.The results provide theoretical foundation for the development and utilization of GAMPS. | Shuangzhi Zhao Ming Lei Hui Xu Hailun He Alexander Suvorov Junhua Wang Jiying Qiu Qingxin Zhou Jinyu Yang Leilei Chen | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4: | 4 |
| 6 | Genome-wide Identification of microRNAs that Respond to Drought Stress in Seedlings of Tertiary Relict Ammopiptanthus mongolicus显示文摘microRNAs(miR NAs) are important post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression in plant abiotic stress responses. Ammopiptanthus mongolicus is a typical evergreen woody xerophyte, which makes it an ideal model system for studying drought tolerance in woody plants. The response of mi RNAs to drought stress is still unknown in this plant. In this research, we obtained 34 695 665 raw reads from two small RNA libraries constructed from control and drought-treated A. mongolicus seedlings by the Illumina deep sequencing technology. Length analysis revealed that reads of 20, 21, and 24 nucleotides accounted for the majority of the small RNAs in the two libraries. Sequence analyses identified 65 conserved mi RNA sequences from 190 members of 31 mi RNA families and 20 potential novel mi RNAs from 17 families that were differentially expressed between the two libraries. The expression patterns of 25 of these mi RNAs were significantly different in the two libraries, but only am-mi R4 a-c was downregulated during drought stress, the other 24 were upregulated. The expression trends determined by the Hi Seq sequencing and by q RT-PCR were similar. Furthermore, 35 target genes for the conserved mi RNA were markedly changed and 52 target genes for the potential novel mi RNAs were predicted and their functions were annotated by computational analysis. | 7 | Detail fatigue rating method based on bimodal Weibull distribution for DED Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V titanium alloy显示文摘Previous studies have shown that the fatigue life distribution of metal materials fabricated with Additive Manufacturing(AM) methods, such as Direct Energy Deposited(DED) Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloys, exhibits two peaks. To promote the application of AM in aerospace and other engineering fields, developing a fatigue strength evaluation method suitable for AM materials based on their unique fatigue behaviours and fatigue life distributions is necessary. In this paper, a novel Detail Fatigue Rating(DFR) method was developed to evaluate the fatigue strength of DED Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V based on a bimodal Weibull distribution and the excessive restriction on the allowable stress of potential was improved. Meanwhile, a Bimodal Weibull distribution model for fatigue life and its parameter estimation method were established based on a twoparameter Weibull distribution. The fatigue life at a specific reliability level and confidence level was calculated by using the bootstrap method. The calculation results showed that fatigue life estimated by using the bimodal Weibull distribution at the high reliability level and high confidence level is higher than that estimated by using the two-parameter Weibull distribution. | 9 | The study of magnetic topological semimetals by first principles calculations显示文摘Magnetic topological semimetals(TSMs)are topological quantum materials with broken time-reversal symmetry(TRS)and isolated nodal points or lines near the Fermi level.Their topological properties would typically reveal from the bulk-edge correspondence principle as nontrivial surface states such as Fermi arcs or drumhead states,etc.Depending on the degeneracies and distribution of the nodes in the crystal momentum space,TSMs are usually classified into Weyl semimetals(WSMs),Dirac semimetals(DSMs),nodal-line semimetals(NLSMs),triple-point semimetals(TPSMs),etc.In this review article,we present the recent advances of magnetic TSMs from a computational perspective.We first review the early predicted magnetic WSMs such as pyrochlore iridates and HgCr_(2)Se_(4),as well as the recently proposed Heusler,Kagome layers,and honeycomb lattice WSMs.Then we discuss the recent developments of magnetic DSMs,especially CuMnAs in Type-III and EuCd_(2)As_(2) in Type-IV magnetic space groups(MSGs).Then we introduce some magnetic NLSMs that are robust against spin–orbit coupling(SOC),namely Fe_(3)GeTe_(2) and LaCl(LaBr).Finally,we discuss the prospects of magnetic TSMs and the interesting directions for future research. | Jinyu Zou Zhuoran He Gang Xu | 2019 | npj Computational Materials2019,,1: | 2 |

| 13 | Risk factors for very low-level viremia in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection: A single-center retrospective study显示文摘Background and aim:Several effective antiviral drugs are now available;however,the risk of liver-related complications is still present.Low-level viremia(LLV),defined as a hepatitis B virus(HBV)deoxy-ribonucleic acid(DNA)load lower than 2000 IU/mL,is one of the major factors responsible for these complications.It has been reported that 22.7e43.1%of patients with HBV experience LLV.Herein,we aimed to explore the risk factors for very LLV(VLLV)during antiviral treatment.Methods:We collected data of patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)who received nucleos(t)ide analog treatment from October 2016 to April 2021.VLLV was defined as an HBV DNA load of 9e20 IU/mL.A total of 139 patients with LLV were matched with 139 patients with a sustained virological response at a 1:1 ratio according to age and gender.Results:Seropositivity rates for hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)(45.3%vs.17.3%,P<0.001)and hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg,3.11±0.68 lg IU/mL vs.2.54±1.04 lg IU/mL,P<0.001)and alanine amino-transferase levels(30.34±15.08 U/L vs.26.15±16.66 U/L,P¼0.040)in the two groups were significantly different.The multivariate analysis showed that both HBeAg seropositivity(adjusted odd ratio(aOR),3.63;95% confidence interval(CI):1.98±6.64;P<0.001)and HBsAg levels(aOR,2.21;95% CI:1.53±3.20;P<0.001)are independent risk factors for VLLV.During the multivariate analysis in the subgroup of HBeAg-positive patients,male gender(aOR,3.68;95% CI:1.23±10.76;P=0.017)and high HBsAg(aOR,4.86;95%CI:1.73e13.64;P¼0.003)levels were significantly correlated with VLLV.However,this was not the case in HBeAg-negative patients(P>0.050).HBeAg seropositivity(aOR,5.08;95% CI:2.15±12.02;P<0.001 vs.aOR,2.78;95% CI:1.16±7.00;P=0.022)and HBsAg levels(aOR,2.75;95% CI:1.41e5.37;P=0.003 vs.aOR,2.10;95% CI:1.27±3.46;P=0.004)significantly increased the risk of VLLV,irrespective of the age group.Both HBsAg(area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),0.681;95% CI:0.623±0.736;P<0.001)and HBeAg(AUC,0.640;95% CI:0.581±0.697;P<0.001)had certain pre-dictive value for VLLV.Conclusion:HBeAg seropositivity and higher HBsAg levels were not only risk factors for VLLV but also predicted its occurrence.When a patient with CHB remains HBeAg seropositive with high HBsAg levels after antiviral treatment for 48 weeks,emphasis should be placed on the potential occurrence of VLLV,warranting the use of highly sensitive HBV DNA detection methods. | Jiahui Lu Congnan Zhang Pengyuan He Mengdang Ou Jinyu Xia Mingxing Huang | 2022 | Liver Research2022,6,1: | 1 |
| 14 | The Gold Coast criteria increases the diagnostic sensitivity for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in a Chinese population显示文摘Objectives:The aim of this study was to assess and compare the diagnostic utility of a new diagnostic criteria for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS),abbreviated as the‘Gold Coast Criteria’,with the revised El Escorial(rEEC)and Awaji criteria.Methods:Clinical and electrophysiological data of 1185 patients from January 2014 to December 2019 in the Peking Union Medical College Hospital ALS database were reviewed.The sensitivity of the Gold Coast criteria was compared to that of the possible rEEC and Awaji criteria(defined by the proportion of patients categorized as definite,probable,or possible ALS).Results:A final diagnosis of ALS was recorded in 1162 patients.The sensitivity of the Gold Coast criteria(96.6%,95%confidence interval[CI]=95.3%-97.5%)was greater than that of the rEEC(85.1%,95%CI=82.9%-87.1%)and Awaji(85.3%,95%CI=83.2%-87.3%).In addition,the sensitivity of the novel criteria maintained robust across subgroups,and the advantage was more prominent in limb-onset ALS patients and those who completed electromyographic tests.In those who did not achieve any of the rEEC diagnostic categories,the sensitivity of Gold Coast criteria was 84.4%.Conclusions:The current study demonstrated that the Gold Coast criteria exhibited greater diagnostic sensitivity than the rEEC and Awaji criteria in a Chinese ALS population.The application of the Gold Coast criteria should be considered in clinical practice and future therapeutic trials. | Dongchao Shen Xunzhe Yang Yanying Wang Di He Xiaohan Sun Zhengyi Cai Jinyue Li Mingsheng Liu Liying Cui | 2021 | Translational Neurodegeneration2021,10,3: | 1 |

| 19 | On Designs of Decentralized Reputation Management for Permissioned Blockchain Networks显示文摘In permissioned blockchain networks,the Proof of Authority(PoA)consensus,which uses the election of authorized nodes to validate transactions and blocks,has beenwidely advocated thanks to its high transaction throughput and fault tolerance.However,PoA suffers from the drawback of centralization dominated by a limited number of authorized nodes and the lack of anonymity due to the round-robin block proposal mechanism.As a result,traditional PoA is vulnerable to a single point of failure that compromises the security of the blockchain network.To address these issues,we propose a novel decentralized reputation management mechanism for permissioned blockchain networks to enhance security,promote liveness,and mitigate centralization while retaining the same throughput as traditional PoA.This paper aims to design an off-chain reputation evaluation and an on-chain reputation-aided consensus.First,we evaluate the nodes’reputation in the context of the blockchain networks and make the reputation globally verifiable through smart contracts.Second,building upon traditional PoA,we propose a reputation-aided PoA(rPoA)consensus to enhance securitywithout sacrificing throughput.In particular,rPoA can incentivize nodes to autonomously form committees based on reputation authority,which prevents block generation from being tracked through the randomness of reputation variation.Moreover,we develop a reputation-aided fork-choice rule for rPoA to promote the network’s liveness.Finally,experimental results show that the proposed rPoA achieves higher security performance while retaining transaction throughput compared to traditional PoA. | Jinyu Chen Long Shi Qisheng Huang Taotao Wang Daojing He | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,139,5: | 0 |
