| 1 | Terrestrial carbon sinks in China and around the world and their contribution to carbon neutrality显示文摘Enhancing the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink(referred to as terrestrial C sink) is an important way to slow down the continuous increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) concentration and to achieve carbon neutrality target.To better understand the characteristics of terrestrial C sinks and their contribution to carbon neutrality,this review summarizes major progress in terrestrial C budget researches during the past decades,clarifies spatial patterns and drivers of terrestrial C sources and sinks in China and around the world,and examines the role of terrestrial C sinks in achieving carbon neutrality target.According to recent studies,the global terrestrial C sink has been increasing from a source of (-0.2±0.9) Pg C yr^(-1)(1 Pg=1015g)in the 1960s to a sink of (1.9±1.1) Pg C yr^(-1) in the 2010s.By synthesizing the published data,we estimate terrestrial C sink of 0.20–0.25 Pg C yr^(-1) in China during the past decades,and predict it to be 0.15–0.52 Pg C yr^(-1) by 2060.The terrestrial C sinks are mainly located in the mid-and high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere,while tropical regions act as a weak C sink or source.The C balance differs much among ecosystem types:forest is the major C sink;shrubland,wetland and farmland soil act as C sinks;and whether the grassland functions as C sink or source remains unclear.Desert might be a C sink,but the magnitude and the associated mechanisms are still controversial.Elevated atmospheric CO_(2) concentration,nitrogen deposition,climate change,and land cover change are the main drivers of terrestrial C sinks,while other factors such as fires and aerosols would also affect ecosystem C balance.The driving factors of terrestrial C sink differ among regions.Elevated CO_(2) concentration and climate change are major drivers of the C sinks in North America and Europe,while afforestation and ecological restoration are additionally important forcing factors of terrestrial C sinks in China.For future studies,we recommend the necessity for intensive and long-term ecosystem C monitoring over broad geographic scale to improve terrestrial biosphere models for accurately evaluating terrestrial C budget and its dynamics under various climate change and policy scenarios. | Yuanhe Yang Yue Shi Wenjuan Sun Jinfeng Chang Jianxiao Zhu Leiyi Chen Xin Wang Yanpei Guo Hongtu Zhang Lingfei Yu Shuqing Zhao Kang Xu Jiangling Zhu Haihua Shen Yuanyuan Wang Yunfeng Peng Xia Zhao Xiangping Wang Huifeng Hu Shiping Chen Mei Huang Xuefa Wen Shaopeng Wang Biao Zhu Shuli Niu Zhiyao Tang Lingli Liu Jingyun Fang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5: | 32 |

| 3 | Near Infrared Star Centroid Detection by Area Analysis of Multi-Scale Super Pixel Saliency Fusion Map显示文摘The centroid location of a near infrared star always deviates from the real center due to the effects of surrounding radiation. To determine a more accurate center of a near infrared star, this paper proposes a method to detect the star's saliency area and calculate the star's centroid via the pixels only in this area, which can greatly decrease the effect of the radiation. During saliency area detection, we calculated the boundary connectivity and gray similarity of every pixel to estimate how likely it was to be a background pixel. Aiming to simplify and speed up the calculation process, we divided the near infrared starry sky image into super pixel maps at multi-scale by Simple Linear Iterative Clustering(SLIC). Second, we detected the saliency map for every super pixel map of the image. Finally, we fused the saliency maps according to a weighted coefficient that is determined by the least square method. For the images used in our experiment, we set the multi-scale super pixel numbers to 100, 150,and 200. | 4 | Progress in the beam commissioning of separated function RFQ accelerator显示文摘Separated Function RFQ (SFRFQ) was proposed as a post accelerator of RFQ to accelerate heavy ions at low frequency. It introduces gap accelerating in the quadrupole electrodes, and therefore it has higher accelerating efficiency than the conventional RFQ accelerator. The first SFRFQ prototype cavity has been specially designed and constructed as a post accelerator to accelerate O+ beam from 1.03 MeV to 1.64 MeV. Based on accomplishment of low power measurement and high power test, the beam commissioning was carried out to verify its feasibility. The RFQ will operate at 201.5 MHz, and its length is 2.7 m. The original electric field distribution along the electrodes is not flat. The resonant frequency needs to be tuned to the operating value. And the frequency needs to be compensated for temperature change during high power RF test and beam test. As tuning such a RFQ is difficult, plate tuners and stick tuners are designed. | 12 | Expert consensus on difficulty assessment of endodontic therapy显示文摘Endodontic diseases are a kind of chronic infectious oral disease. Common endodontic treatment concepts are based on the removal of inflamed or necrotic pulp tissue and the replacement by gutta-percha. However, it is very essential for endodontic treatment to debride the root canal system and prevent the root canal system from bacterial reinfection after root canal therapy(RCT). Recent research, encompassing bacterial etiology and advanced imaging techniques, contributes to our understanding of the root canal system’s anatomy intricacies and the technique sensitivity of RCT. Success in RCT hinges on factors like patients, infection severity, root canal anatomy, and treatment techniques. Therefore, improving disease management is a key issue to combat endodontic diseases and cure periapical lesions. The clinical difficulty assessment system of RCT is established based on patient conditions, tooth conditions, root canal configuration, and root canal needing retreatment, and emphasizes pre-treatment risk assessment for optimal outcomes. The findings suggest that the presence of risk factors may correlate with the challenge of achieving the high standard required for RCT. | 13 | Seasonal variations and spatial distribution of particulate matter emissions from a ventilated laying hen house in Northeast China显示文摘With the development of concentrated animal feeding operations in China,the air pollution problem has drawn widespread public attention.Residents living near farms are suffering from the emissions of particulate matter(PM)and odors.However,scientific data on the characteristics of these emissions are limited to the establishment and evaluation of mitigation strategies in China.This study was conducted to provide fundamental information on the concentrations of PM inside and outside a typical ventilated laying hen house in northeastern China.The results showed that outdoor PM concentrations of this laying hen house did not meet the requirements of the environmental quality standard of China’s livestock and poultry farms in the two days out of six sampling days in summer,while indoor PM concentrations met the environmental requirements during this study.The indoor and outdoor PM concentrations were highly correlated in summer,and over 60%of particles indoor were emitted outside via mechanical ventilation.There were more fine particles dominated both inside and outside of the laying hen house.Besides,twelve and nine elements were measured from the PM sources inside and outside laying hen house,respectively.PM control strategies may be adjusted based on the status of exhaust fans,the ages of laying hens,atmospheric conditions,and routine house management to well reduce PM emissions and improve control efficiency. | Li Guo Dongsen Zhao Bo Zhao Shuli Ma Xiaolin Liu Mo Li Xin Liu | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,3: | 0 |

| 15 | Generalization of integral inequalities and (c_1,c_1) stability of neutral differential equations with time-varying delays显示文摘A uniform stability analysis is developed for a type of neutral delays differential equations which depend on more general nonlinear integral inequalities. Many original investigations and results are obtained. Firstly, generations of two integral nonlinear inequalities are presented, which are very effective in dealing with the complicated integro-differential inequalities whose variable exponents are greater than zero. Compared with existed integral inequalities, those proposed here can be applied to more complicated differential equations, such as time-varying delay neutral differential equations. Secondly, the notions of(ω, Ω) uniform stable and(ω, Ω) uniform asymptotically stable, especially(c_1,c_1)uniform stable and(c_1,c_1) uniform asymptotically stable, are presented. Sufficient conditions on about(c_1,c_1) uniform stable and(c_1,c_1) uniform asymptotically stable of time-varying delay neutral differential equations are established by the proposed integral inequalities. Finally, a complex numerical example is presented to illustrate the main results effectively. | 17 | Water-in-Water Emulsions,Ultralow Interfacial Tension,and Biolubrication显示文摘A water-in-water(W/W)emulsion consists of droplets formed by the spontaneous liquid-liquid separation of two immiscible aqueous phases.The inherent properties of the W/W interfaces,low or ultralowinterfacial tension(γ_(W/W)=1-1000μN/m)and a large thickness of several nanometers,beget the poor inherent stability of emulsions.Herein,we report a nanofibril emulsifier having Schiff base reactivity to generate a W/W emulsion.The W/W emulsion has superior stability(stable>6 months)because collagen nanofibrils,acting as a stabilizer of W/W emulsions,can simultaneously satisfy the requirements of sizeandoverall coverage ratio of the phase interfaces.W/Wemulsions having γ_(W/W)∼10μN/m were used as synthetic synovial fluids,showing superior lubrication performance with a coefficient of friction in the range of 0.003-0.011,which has been demonstrated to be suitable for joint lubrication.An intraarticular injection assessment further confirmed this protective effect on articular cartilage in vivo.Our study reveals the mechanism of emulsion stabilization and opens up the possibility of osteoarthritis(OA)treatment using the biolubrication effects of W/W emulsions for lubricated artificial implant surfaces. | Yitong Wang Jin Yuan Yunpeng Zhao Ling Wang Luxuan Guo Lei Feng Jiwei Cui Shuli Dong Shanhong Wan Weimin Liu Heinz Hoffmann Kiet Tieu Jingcheng Hao | 2022 | CCS Chemistry2022,4,6: | 0 |
