1Flower-, wire-, and sheet-like MnO_2-deposited diatomites:Highly efficient absorbents for the removal of Cr(Ⅵ)显示文摘Flower-, wire-, and sheet-like MnO2-deposited diatomites have been prepared using a hydrothermal method with Mn(Ac)2, KMnO4and/or MnSO4 as Mn source and diatomite as support. Physical properties of the materials were characterized by means of numerous analytical techniques, and their behaviors in the adsorption of chromium(VI) were evaluated.It is shown that the MnO2-deposited diatomite samples with different morphologies possessed high surface areas and abundant surface hydroxyl groups(especially the wire-like MnO2/diatomite sample). 4IL-17A-dependent gut microbiota is essential for regulating diet-induced disorders in mice显示文摘The gut microbiota plays a key role in obesity and related metabolic disorders, and multiple factors including diet, host genotype, and age regulate it. Many studies have examined the contribution of extrinsic factors to the regulation of the gut microbiota, but the importance of the host genetic constitution cannot be ignored. Interleukin 17A(IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, is important in the defense against infection and diseases. Here, we investigated the association among IL-17, a high-fat diet(HFD), and the gut microbiota. Mice deficient in IL-17A were resistant to diet-induced obesity and related diseases. Compared with the Ⅱ-17^(-/-)mice, wild-type(WT) mice challenged with HFD showed obvious weight fluctuations, such as those seen in type 2 diabetes, and hematological changes similar to those associated with metabolic syndrome. However, housing WT mice and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice together significantly alleviated these symptoms in the WT mice. A metagenomic analysis of the mouse feces indicated that the microbial community compositions of these two groups differed before HFD feeding. The HFD mediated shifts in the gut microbial compositions, which were associated with the mouse phenotypes.We also identified potentially beneficial and harmful species present during this period, and drew networks of the most abundant species. A functional analysis indicated pathway changes in the WT and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice when fed the HFD. 5Isolation and expression pattern analysis of novel ESTs from human fetal brain显示文摘In order to learn the mechanism of brain development and differentiation, 90 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) were isolated by differential display from the cerebrum and cerebellum of 13-week and 33-week fetal brains. After searching database, 74 of them represented novel genes, some of them were homologous to the brain development related genes. 6Thermo-Calc based multi-component micro-segregation model and solidification paths calculations显示文摘On the basis of a multi-length scale modeling, a mixture-averaged multi-component /multiphase micro-segregation model was proposed without pre-set function for the micro-scale solute profile. The model explains the effect of morphologies of solidifying phases and solid back diffusion (SBD) on segregation, and covers the two limiting solidification cases of Scheil and Lever-rule models. A commercial Thermo-Calc software package/database was linked to the algorithms via its TQ6-interface for instantaneous determination of the related thermodynamic data of the multi-component alloys. The influences of cooling rate and other parameters on the solidification path and micro-segregation behavior were numerically investigated by sample calculation of the ternary Al-Cu-Mg alloys. A parallel experimental investigation on Al-Cu-Si alloys solidified under different cooling conditions was conducted to validate the theoretical model. 7Morphology analysis of tracks in the aerogels impacted by hypervelocity irregular particles显示文摘As an attractive collector medium for hypervelocity particles,combined with outstanding physical properties and suitable compositional characteristics,SiO2 aerogel has been deployed on outer space missions and laser shock-loaded collection experiments.In this paper,impact experiments were conducted to understand the penetration process of irregular grains,irregular Al_(2)O_(3) grains with two different sizes and speeds(~110μm@7 km/s,~251μm@2.3 km/s)at various density silica aerogels.By classifying the shapes of projectile residues and tracks,the morphology of tracks was analyzed.It was observed that there were several kinds of typical tracks in the penetration of irregular grains,accompanied by residues with the shapes of near-sphere,polyhedron,streamlined body wedge,and rotator.The rotational behavior was demonstrated by the final status of one flake projectile as direct evidence.In addition,there was no obvious relationship between the track length and experimental parameters,which may be caused by the uncertain interaction between aerogels and irregular particles.In addition,it confirmed the existence of fragmentation,melting situation by observing the shape of the impact entrance hole.At the same time,optical coherence tomography was used to observe the detail of tracks clearly,which provided a method to characterize the tracks nondestructively.Ai Du Yi Ma Mingfang Liu Zhihua Zhang Guangwei Cao Hongwei Li Ling Wang Peijian Si Jun Shen Bin Zhou 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2:1

9An Explicit-Implicit Predictor-Corrector Domain Decomposition Method for Time Dependent Multi-Dimensional Convection Diffusion Equations显示文摘The numerical solution of large scale multi-dimensional convection diffusion equations often requires efficient parallel algorithms.In this work,we consider the extension of a recently proposed non-overlapping domain decomposition method for two dimensional time dependent convection diffusion equations with variable coefficients. By combining predictor-corrector technique,modified upwind differences with explicitimplicit coupling,the method under consideration provides intrinsic parallelism while maintaining good stability and accuracy.Moreover,for multi-dimensional problems, the method can be readily implemented on a multi-processor system and does not have the limitation on the choice of subdomains required by some other similar predictor-corrector or stabilized schemes.These properties of the method are demonstrated in this work through both rigorous mathematical analysis and numerical experiments.Liyong Zhu Guangwei Yuan Qiang Du 2009Numerical Mathematics(Theory,Methods and Applications)2009,2,3:1

13Isolation and cloning of a novel cDNA LDB1 encoding human LIM domain binding protein显示文摘Primers for screening cDNA library have been designed according to EST AA453734 which is corresponding to the mouse LIM domain binding protein Ldb1. Arrayed human fetal brain cDNA library has been screened by PCR and routine hybridization method. A 2398 bp-cD-NA clone has been obtained. The cDNA encodes a 347 amino acids protein highly homologous to the mouse Ldb1, Xenopus Xldb1 and Drosophila Chip. It also contains an LIM binding domain and a nuclear localization signal. It has been named LDB1 (LIM domain binding protein 1), GenBank accession number is AF052389. 14Cloning of human and mouse GRY-RBP cDNA显示文摘After screening human fetal brain cDNA library, a novel human cDNA encoding an RNA-binding protein was cloned and named GRY-RBP. Human GRY-RBP cDNA is 2 932 bp in length, and encodes a protein of 623 amino acids with a deduced molecular mass of 69.6 ku. Human GRY-RBP contains three RNA recognition motifs (RRMs) and a glycine (G), tyrosin (Y)-rich C-terminus. Computer searches with sequence database revealed its moderate homology with RRMs of many RRM RNA-binding proteins. in this study, the full coding region and partial non-coding region of mouse GRY-RBP cDNA were amplified by PCR using mouse brain cDNA library as template. 15Cloning and expression analysis of MBLL cDNA显示文摘The mbl (musdeblind) gene of Drosophila encodes a nuclear protein which contains two Cys3His motifs. The mutation of mbl gene will disturb the differentiation of ali the Drosophila’s photoreceptors. Primers have been designed according to human EST086139, which is highly homologous to mbl gene. Human fetal brain cDNA library has been screened and a novel cDNA clone has been obtained. The 2595 bp cDNA, designated MBLL (muscleblind-like), contains an open reading frame which encodes 255 amino acids and has 4 Cys3His motifs (GenBank Acc. AF061261). The amino acids seguence shares high homology to Drosophila’s mbl. 16Cloning and identification of PHF2 cDNA and its alternatively spliced transcripts显示文摘Genes encoding proteins with PHD (plant homeodomain) finger motif (C4HC3) are highly conserved from Arabidopsis to Homo sapiens. One of the major functions of these genes is regulating the expression of homeotic genes during the stage of embryonic development. They play a role in cell-cycle and cell differentiation and seem to be related with some human malignant diseases, such as leukemia. A human placenta cDNA library has been screened with cDNA probe amplified by PCR. The PGR primers have been designed according to the M96 (a mouse gene encoding a protein with PHD domain) homologous data in dbEST.A 2. 1 kb insert fragment in a positive cDNA clone has been isolated and sequenced. This new full-length cDNA is named PHF2 (GenBank Acc: AF052205). The putative protein composed of 567 aa has two typical PHD fingers at its N-terminus. 17Genome resources for the elite bread wheat cultivar Aikang 58 and mining of elite homeologous haplotypes for accelerating wheat improvement显示文摘Despite recent progress in crop genomics studies,the genomic changes brought about by modern breeding selection are still poorly understood,thus hampering genomics-assisted breeding,especially in polyploid crops with compound genomes such as common wheat(Triticum aestivum).In this work,we constructed genome resources for the modern elite common wheat variety Aikang 58(AK58).Comparative genomics between AK58 and the landrace cultivar Chinese Spring(CS)shed light on genomic changes that occurred through recent varietal improvement.We also explored subgenome diploidization and divergence in common wheat and developed a homoeologous locus-based genome-wide association study(HGWAS)approach,which was more effective than single homoeolog-based GWAS in unraveling agronomic trait-associated loci.A total of 123 major HGWAs loci were detected using a genetic population derived from AK58 and cs.Elite homoeologous haplotypes(HHs),formed by combinations of subgenomic homoeologs of the associated loci,were found in both parents and progeny,and many could substantially improve wheat yield and related traits.We built a website where users can download genome assembly sequence and annotation data for AK58,perform blast analysis,and run JBrowse.Our work enriches genome resources for wheat,provides new insights into genomic changes during modern wheat improve-.ment,and suggests that efficientmining of elite HHs can make a substantial contribuutionto genomics-assisted breeding in common wheat and other polyploid crops.Jizeng Jia Guangyao Zhao Danping Li Kai Wang Chuizheng Kong Pingchuan Deng Xueqing Yan Xueyong Zhang Zefu Lu Shujuan Xu Yuannian Jiao Kang Chong Xu Liu Dangqun Cui Guangwei Li Yijing Zhang Chunguang Du Liang Wu Tianbao Li Dong Yan Kehui Zhan Feng Chen Zhiyong Wang Lichao Zhang Xiuying Kong Zhengang Ru Daowen Wang Lifeng Gao 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,12:0
