| 1 | Comprehensive analysis of NAC transcription factors in diploid Gossypium: sequence conservation and expression analysis uncover their roles during fiber development显示文摘Determining how function evolves following gene duplication is necessary for understanding gene expansion.Transcription factors(TFs)are a class of proteins that regulate gene expression by binding to specific cis-acting elements in the promoters of target genes,subsequently activating or repressing their transcription.In the present study,we systematically examined the functional diversification of the NAC transcription factor(NAC-TFs)family by analyzing their chromosomal location,structure,phylogeny,and expression pattern in Gossypium raimondii(Gr)and G.arboreum(Ga).The 145 and 141 NAC genes identified in the Gr and Ga genomes,respectively,were annotated and divided into 18 subfamilies,which showed distinct divergence in gene structure and expression patterns during fiber development.In addition,when the functional parameters were examined,clear divergence was observed within tandem clusters,which suggested that subfunctionalization had occurred among duplicate genes.The expression patterns of homologous gene pairs also changed,suggestive of the diversification of gene function during the evolution of diploid cotton.These findings provide insights into the mechanisms underlying the functional differentiation of duplicated NAC-TFs genes in two diploid cotton species. | Haihong Shang Zhongna Wang Changsong Zou Zhen Zhang Weijie Li Junwen Li Yuzhen Shi Wankui Gong Tingting Chen Aiying Liu Juwu Gong Qun Ge Youlu Yuan | 2016 | Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,2: | 12 |

| 3 | Single-/fused-band dual-mode mid-infrared imaging with colloidal quantum-dot triple-junctions显示文摘Image data acquired with fused multispectral information can be used for effective identification and navigation owing to additional information beyond human vision,including thermal distribution,night vision,and molecular composition.However,the construction of photodetectors with such capabilities is hindered by the structural complexity arising from the integration of multiple semiconductor junctions with distinct energy gaps and lattice constants.In this work,we develop a colloidal quantum-dot dual-mode detector capable of detecting,separating,and fusing photons from various wavelength ranges.Using three vertically stacked colloidal quantum-dot homojunctions with alternating polarity,single-band short-wave infrared imaging and fused-band imaging(short-wave and mid-wave infrared)can be achieved with the same detector by controlling bias polarity and magnitude.The dual-mode detectors show detectivity up to 8×10^(10)Jones at the fused-band mode and 3.1×10^(11)Jones at the single-band mode,respectively.Without image post-processing algorithms,the dual-mode detectors could provide both night vision and thermal information-enhanced night vision imaging capability.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first colloidal quantum-dot detector that can achieve such functionality.The operation mode can be changed at a high frequency up to 1.7 MHz,making it possible to achieve simultaneously dual-mode imaging and remote temperature sensing. | SHUO ZHANG GE MU JIE CAO YUNING LUO QUN HAO MENGLU CHEN YIMEI TAN PENGFEI ZHAO XIN TANG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,8: | 3 |
| 4 | QTL mapping for fiber quality and yieldrelated traits across multiple generations in segregating population of CCRI 70显示文摘Background:Cotton is a significant economic crop that plays an indispensable role in many domains.Gossypium hirsutum L.is the most important fiber crop worldwide and contributes to more than 95%of global cotto n production.Identifying stable quantitative trait locus(QTLs)controlling fiber quality and yield related traits are necessary prerequisites for marker-assisted selection(MAS).Results:A genetic linkage map was constructed with 312 simple sequence repeat(SSR)loci and 35 linkage groups using JoinMap 4.0;the map spanned 1 929.9 cM,with an average interval between two markers of 6.19 cM,and covered approximately 43.37%of the cotton genome.A total of 74 QTLs controlling fiber quality and 41 QTLs controlling yield-related traits were identified in 4 segregating generations.These QTLs were distributed across 20 chromosomes and collectively explained 1.01%?27.80%of the observed phenotypic variations.In particular,35 stable QTLs could be identified in multiple generations,25 common QTLs were con sistent with those in previous studies,and 15 QTL clusters were found in 11 chromosome segments.Conclusion:These studies provide a theoretical basis for improving cotton yield and fiber quality for molecular marker-assisted selection. | DENG Xiaoying GONG Juwu LIU Aiying SHI Yuzhen GONG Wankui GE Qun LI Junwen SHANG Haihong WU Yuxiang YUAN Youlu | 2019 | Journal of Cotton Research2019,2,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Anti-free radical,anti-oxidative ability and anti-fatigue effects of Huanshaodan An experiment of aging mice显示文摘BACKGROUND: In the theory of traditional Chinese medicine,aging is mainly thought renal deficiency caused renal failure,mainly involving decline of kidney-Yang and deficiency of kidney-essence. Huanshaodan,a Chinese traditional preparation for kidney-replenishing essence,was used to be the preparation for reinforcing renal deficiency and preventing aging for aged people. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Huanshaodan on swimming durance and the abilities of catalase (CAT) in serum and monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B) in brain tissue as well as in vitro anti-oxidative ability of aging mouse. DESIGN: A controlled animal experiment. SETTING: College of Basic Medicine,Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. MATERIALS: Fifty-four healthy NIH mice,aged 18 months old,of either gender,weighing (48.9±5.4)g,and one SD male rat,aged 16 months old,weighing 51.7 g,were provided by Animal Experimental Center,Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Thirty NIH mice were randomly chosen for swimming test,and divided into experimental group and control group,with 15 in each; The other 24 NIH mice were used for enzyme activity assay,and also divided into experimental group and control group,with 12 in each. SD rat was used for in vitro anti-oxidative ability test. Huanshaodan water decoction was composed of Cheqianzi,Wuweizi,Huaishan,Danggui,Huangbai,Shudi,Baizhi,Niuxi,Baishen,Tusizi,Buguzhi,Roucongrong and Heshouwu 13 Chinese herbs. METHODS: This study was carried out in the Second Laboratory,Department of Biochemistry,Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in June 2006. Swimming and enzyme activity assay: Mice in the two experimental groups were intragastrically administrated with 10 μL/ g Huanshaodan water decoction. Mice in the two control groups were intragastrically administrated with the same amount of normal saline. All the mice were intragastrically administrated for 5 days,and they were free to access to medicine in the other 2 days in a week. Each mouse was administrated for 8 weeks. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Forty days after administration,mice in the experimental group and control group for swimming test were loaded at tails and allowed to swim in the water-tank. Swimming durance was recorded. ② Following the method of Chen Qi,the activities of CAT in serum and MAO-B in brain tissue as well as the inhibitory rate of each medicine on malonaldehyde (MDA) content in the in vitro rat hepatic tissue were determined; Meanwhile,the inhibitory rate of different doses of Tusizi liquid to MDA content in the rat hepatic tissue in vitro was also assayed. RESULTS: Fifty-four NIH mice and one SD rat were recruited in this experiment. Three mice died in the swimming test,and all the other animals were involved in the final analysis. ① Swimming durance of mice in the experimental group was significantly longer than that in the control group (t =7.502,P < 0.01). The activity of CAT in serum of mice in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group (t =13.307,P < 0.01). ② The activity of MAO-B in brain tissue of mice in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (t =13.27,P < 0.01). ③ The inhibitory rate of Cheqianzi,Wuweizi,Huaishan,Danggui,Huangbai,Shudi,Baizhi,Niuxi,Baishen,Tusizi,Buguzhi,Roucongrong and Heshouwu 13 Chinese herbs of Huanshaodan to MDA in the rat hepatic tissue in vitro was –62.9,–95.1,–34.9,–65.1,–99.1,–87.2,–94.1,–20.0,–67.0,–83.7,–91.0,–98.4,–93.0,respectively. ④ The inhibitory rate of low to high dose of Tusizi liquid to MDA content in the rat hepatic tissue in vitro was –3.41,–18.1,–26.6,–83.7,respectively. | 8 | Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for psoriasis:a phase 1/2a,single-arm study显示文摘Psoriasis is a common,chronic immune-mediated systemic disease that had no effective and durable treatment.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have immunomodulatory properties.Therefore,we performed a phase 1/2a,single-arm clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of human umbilical cord-derived MSCs(UMSCs)in the treatment of psoriasis and to preliminarily explore the possible mechanisms.Seventeen patients with psoriasis were enrolled and received UMsC infusions.Adverse events,laboratory parameters,PASl,and PGA were analyzed.We did not observe obvious side effects during the treatment and 6-month follow-up.A total of 47.1%(8/17)of the psoriasis patients had at least 40%improvement in the PASl score,and 17.6%(3/17)had no sign of disease or minimal disease based on the PGA score.And the efficiency was 25%(2/8)for males and 66.7%(6/9)for females.After UMSC transplantation(UMSCT),the frequencies of Tregs and CD4^(+)memory T cells were significantly increased,and the frequencies of T helper(Th)17 and CD4^(+)naive T cells were significantly decreased in peripheral blood(PB)of psoriasis patients.And all responders showed significant increases in Tregs and CD4^(+)memory T cells,and significant decreases in Th17 cells and serum IL-17 level after UMsCT.And baseline level of Tregs in responders were significantly lower than those in nonresponders.In conclusion,allogeneic UMSCT is safe and partially effective in psoriasis patients,and level of Tregs may be used as a potent biomarker to predict the clinical efficacy of UMSCT.Trial registration Clinical Trials NCT03765957. | Lamei Cheng Siqi Wang Cong Peng Xiao Zou Chao Yang Hua Mei Chuang Li Xian Su Na Xiao Qi Ouyang Mi Zhang Qiaolin Wang Yan Luo Minxue Shen Qun Qin Honglin Wang Wu Zhu Guangxiu Lu Ge Lin Yehong Kuang Xiang Chen | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,9: | 2 |
