1Efficacy and safety of Xinfeng capsule in patients with rheumatoid arthritis:a multi-center parallel-group double-blind randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xinfeng capsule in patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis(RA).METHODS:A multi-center parallel-group designed,double-blind,randomized,controlled trial was conducted.Totally 304 RA patients were assigned to two groups:one group was administered Xinfeng capsule(XFC) plus the placebo of leflunomide and the other given leflunomide(LEF) plus the placebo of XFC for twelve weeks.The clinical and laboratory parameters were compared at baseline and fourth,eighth,and twelfth weeks.RESULTS:After twelve-week treatment,patients in two groups all showed some trend of effectiveness when compared in terms of American Rheumatism Association(ACR) recommended 20%,50%,70%improvement criteria,but it was insignificant.The validity in ameliorate modified disease activity score(DAS28) and laboratory indexes as erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),rheumatoid factor(RF) were also found no difference.The score of health assessment questionnaire(HAQ),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS) and quality of life questionnaire with rheumatoid arthritis(RAQOL)both lower than the first week and the changes showed no difference.However,the score of SDS dropped more in XFC group than in the other.A total of 147 adverse reaction cases were reported,which shows no difference between the two groups.The most common adverse reactions were hepatic impairment,anemia,leukocytopenia,epigastric discomfort and phalacrosis.CONCLUSION:XFC demonstrated better improvement in the scores of SDS and compared with those of LEF group.Liu Jian Wang Yuan Huang Chuanbing Xu Jianhua Li Zhijun Xu Liang He Liyun Sun Yue Wang Yali Xu Shengqian Zhao Ping Mao Tongjun Tan Bin Zhu Fubing Zhang Pingheng Fang Li 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:27
2Chinese Stroke Association guidelines for clinical management of cerebrovascular disorders: executive summary and 2019 update of clinical management of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis显示文摘Aim Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)is a less common cerebrovascular disease that predominantly affects young patients.The incidence of CVST is 2-5/10000000/year,accounting for 0.5%-1%of all stroke.To reduce mortality and morbidity associated with CVST,Chinese Stroke Association commissioned the authors to write the current guideline on the management of CVST.Methods PubMed(MEDLINE),CNKI and Wanfang database were searched for studies related to CVST from 1 January 1990 to 31 July 2019.Data were synthesised by evidence tables.Each recommendation was fully discussed by the writing group members and reviewed by Chinese Stroke Association Stroke Fellow Committees.Levels of evidence grading algorithm of Chinese Stroke Association was used to grade each recommendation.results This guideline mainly focuses on the diagnostic evaluation,therapeutic strategies and secondary prevention of CVST.CT/CTV and MRI/MRV are recommended in the initial imaging evaluation of patients with suspected CVST.Anticoagulation therapy with low-molecular weight heparin should be initiated in patients with CVST immediately.After the acute stage,warfarin is recommended for 3-6 months to prevent the recurrence of CVST and other venous thromboembolic events.Conclusions The guideline summarises the current evidence regarding the management of CVST,and provides references for diagnosis,treatment and secondary prevention of CVST in China.Yuhua Fan Jian Yu Hongbing Chen Jian Zhang Jiangang Duan Dapeng Mo Wenhao Zhu Bo Wang Fubing Ouyang Yicong Chen Linfang Lan Jinsheng Zeng Chinese Stroke Association Stroke Council CVST Guideline Writing Committee 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2:14
3Liposomes for systematic delivery of vancomycin hydrochloride to decrease nephrotoxicity:Characterization and evaluation显示文摘Vancomycin hydrochloride(VANH),the first glycopeptide antibiotic,is a water-soluble drug for the treatment of acute osteomyelitis.Liposomal formulations of VANH have already been manipulated and characterized,which was a mean of increasing their therapeutic index,reducing their toxicity and altering drug biodistribution.One of the challenges for preparing VANH-Lips is their low encapsulation efficiency(EE).In the present study,we aim to improve the liposomal formulation of VANH for higher EE,longer systemic circulation,reduced nephrotoxicity and enhanced antimicrobial activities.Vancomycin hydrochloride-loaded liposomes(VANH-Lips)were formulated by the method of modified reverse phase evaporation.Based on the optimization of formulation with orthogonal experimental design,the average drug encapsulation efficiency and the mean particle size of VANH-Lips were found to be 40.78±2.56%and 188.4±2.77 nm.In vitro drug release of VANH-Lips possessed a sustained release characteristic and their release behavior was in accordance with the Weibull equation.After intravenous injection to mice,the mean residence time(MRT)of VANH-Lips group was significantly prolonged in vivo and the AUC value was improved as well compared with the vancomycin hydrochloride solution(VANH-Sol)group.Furthermore,the biodistribution results in mice showed that VANH-Lips decreased the accumulation of VANH in kidney after intravenous injection.In conclusion,VANH-Lips may be a potential delivery system for VANH to decrease nephrotoxicity in the treatment of osteomyelitis.Junli Liu Zhonglan Wang Fubing Li Jinhua Gao Longmei Wang Guihua Huang 2015Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2015,10,3:4

5Serum ficolin-2 concentrations are significantly changed in patients with hepatitis B virus infection and liver diseases显示文摘Human ficolin-2 is an important lectin complement pathway activator that is secreted from liver cells and has been implicated as an anti-infection innate immune molecule. However, the role of ficolin-2 protein and its dynamic changes over the course of and in the prognosis of chronic hepatitis B(CHB) and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) remain unclear. In this study, we analyzed ficolin-2 protein expression in a cohort of individuals with CHB infection, HCC and cirrhosis. A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) method was used to measure serum ficolin-2 concentrations. Ficolin-2 expression in liver tissues was detected by immunohistochemical staining. Serum ficolin-2 concentrations in CHB patients were significantly higher than in healthy controls and HBV carriers. After 48 weeks of routine amelioration liver function treatment, serum ficolin-2 concentrations decreased and were positively correlated with favorable alanine aminotransferase(ALT), HBV DNA and HBe Ag-seroconversion outcomes. Interestingly, we observed much lower expression of serum and intrahepatic ficolin-2 in HCC and cirrhosis compared with healthy controls. 7State Fragmentation and Rights Contestation:Rural Land Development Rights in China显示文摘The functionalist reasoning of institutional changes builds on individual rationality and explains institutional changes from the demand side.While insightful,a comprehensive understanding also needs to take into account the supply side.The state,as the ultimate supplier of institutional changes,plays the pivotal role of agency;therefore,its willingness and ability decide how such regime change occurs and what particular form the new regime takes.Since the mid-1990s,the Chinese economy has embarked on a path of rapid industrialization and urbanization.The contestation over rural land development rights in China offers an excellent case to illuminate the importance of state agency in institutional changes.Drawing on case studies in China's three major urbanizing regions,this article analyzes how villages brought their own land directly to the land market and reaped handsome profits.We argue that the three successful cases,Nanhai in Guangdong,Kunshan in Jiangsu and Zhenggezhuang in Beijing,all represent a product of active agency on the supply side.The Chinese state's fragmented authority provides a favorable institutional environment for such changes.Fubing Su Ran Tao Hui Wang 2013China & World Economy2013,21,4:1

17A self-monitoring microneedle patch for light-controlled synergistic treatment of melanoma显示文摘Melanoma is the most aggressive and malignant form of skin cancer.Current melanoma treatment methods generally suffer from frequent drug administration as well as difficulty in direct monitoring of drug release.Here,a self-monitoring microneedle(MN)-based drug delivery system,which integrates a dissolving MN patch with aggregation-induced emission(AIE)-active PATC microparticles,is designed to achieve light-controlled pulsatile chemo-photothermal synergistic therapy of melanoma.The PATC polymeric particles,termed D/I@PATC,encapsulate both of chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin(DOX)and the photothermal agent indocyanine green(ICG).Upon light illumination,PATC gradually dissociates into smaller particles,causing the release of encapsulated DOX and subsequent fluorescence intensity change of PATC particles,thereby not only enabling direct observation of the drug release process under light stimuli,but also facilitating verification of drug release by fluorescence recovery after light trigger.Moreover,encapsulation of ICG in PATC particles displays significant improvement of its photothermal stability both in vitro and in vivo.In a tumor-bearing mouse,the application of one D/I@PATC MN patch combining with two cycles of light irradiation showed excellent controllable chemo-photothermal efficacy and exhibited~97%melanoma inhibition rate without inducing any evident systemic toxicity,suggesting a great potential for skin cancer treatment in clinics.Chenyuan Wang Yongnian Zeng Kai-Feng Chen Jiawei Lin Qianqian Yuan Xue Jiang Gaosong Wu Fubing Wang Yong-Guang Jia Wei Li 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,9:0
18A hybrid CNN-LSTM model for diagnosing rice nutrient levels at the rice panicle initiation stage显示文摘Nitrogen(N)and potassium(K)are two key mineral nutrient elements involved in rice growth.Accurate diagnosis of N and K status is very important for the rational application of fertilizers at a specific rice growth stage.Therefore,we propose a hybrid model for diagnosing rice nutrient levels at the early panicle initiation stage(EPIS),which combines a convolutional neural network(CNN)with an attention mechanism and a long short-term memory network(LSTM).The model was validated on a large set of sequential images collected by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)from rice canopies at different growth stages during a two-year experiment.Compared with VGG16,AlexNet,GoogleNet,DenseNet,and inceptionV3,ResNet101 combined with LSTM obtained the highest average accuracy of 83.81%on the dataset of Huanghuazhan(HHZ,an indica cultivar).When tested on the datasets of HHZ and Xiushui 134(XS134,a japonica rice variety)in 2021,the ResNet101-LSTM model enhanced with the squeeze-and-excitation(SE)block achieved the highest accuracies of 85.38 and 88.38%,respectively.Through the cross-dataset method,the average accuracies on the HHZ and XS134 datasets tested in 2022 were 81.25 and 82.50%,respectively,showing a good generalization.Our proposed model works with the dynamic information of different rice growth stages and can efficiently diagnose different rice nutrient status levels at EPIS,which are helpful for making practical decisions regarding rational fertilization treatments at the panicle initiation stage.Fubing Liao Xiangqian Feng Ziqiu Li Danying Wang Chunmei Xu Guang Chu Hengyu Ma Qing Yao Song Chen 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,2:0
19Touchable cell biophysics property recognition platforms enable multifunctional blood smart health care显示文摘As a crucial biophysical property,red blood cell(RBC)deformability is pathologically altered in numerous disease states,and biochemical and structural changes occur over time in stored samples of otherwise normal RBCs.However,there is still a gap in applying it further to point-of-care blood devices due to the large external equipment(high-resolution microscope and microfluidic pump),associated operational difficulties,and professional analysis.Herein,we revolutionarily propose a smart optofluidic system to provide a differential diagnosis for blood testing via precise cell biophysics property recognition both mechanically and morphologically.Deformation of the RBC population is caused by pressing the hydrogel via an integrated mechanical transfer device.The biophysical properties of the cell population are obtained by the designed smartphone algorithm.Artificial intelligence-based modeling of cell biophysics properties related to blood diseases and quality was developed for online testing.We currently achieve 100%diagnostic accuracy for five typical clinical blood diseases(90 megaloblastic anemia,78 myelofibrosis,84 iron deficiency anemia,48 thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura,and 48 thalassemias)via real-world prospective implementation;furthermore,personalized blood quality(for transfusion in cardiac surgery)monitoring is achieved with an accuracy of 96.9%.This work suggests a potential basis for next-generation blood smart health care devices.Longfei Chen Yantong Liu Hongshan Xu Linlu Ma Yifan Wang Le Yu Fang Wang Jiaomeng Zhu Xuejia Hu Kezhen Yi Yi Yang Hui Shen Fuling Zhou Xiaoqi Gao Yanxiang Cheng Long Bai Yongwei Duan Fubing Wang Yimin Zhu 2021Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,6:0
20Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications of the Early Triassic Nianzi Adakitic Granite Unit in the Yanshan Fold and Thrust Belt:New Constraints from U-Pb Geochronology and Sr-Nd-Hf Isotopes显示文摘The Nianzi granite unit,which includes the Nianzi,Xiaolianghou and Xiawopu granitic intrusions,is a significant component of the northern part of the North China Craton(NCC)and is situated in the Yanshan fold and thrust belt(YFTB).However,there is still debate regarding the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB during the late Permian to Triassic period,specifically regarding the timing of subduction and collision between the NCC and the Paleo-Asian Ocean.The Nianzi granite unit exhibits unique petrological,geochronological and geochemical signatures that shed light on the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB.This study presents detailed petrology,whole-rock geochemistry,together with Sr-Nd isotopic,zircon U-Pb dating and Lu-Hf isotopic data of the granites within the Nianzi granite unit.Our findings demonstrate that the granites primarily consist of subhedral K-feldspar,plagioclase,quartz,minor biotite and hornblende,with accessory titanite,apatite,magnetite and zircon.Zircon U-Pb dating indicates that the Xiaolianghou granite was emplaced at 247.5±0.62 Ma.Additionally,the adakitic characteristics of the Nianzi,Xiawopu and Xiaolianghou granitic intrusions,such as high Sr and Ba contents and high ratios of Sr/Y and(La/Yb)N,combined with negative Sr-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopes(87Sr/86Sr)i=0.705681–0.7057433,εNd(t)=−21.98 to−20.97,zirconεHf(t)=−20.26 to−9.92,as well as the I-type granite features of high SiO_(2),Na_(2)O and K_(2)O/Na_(2)O ratios,enriched Rb,K,Sr and Ba,along with depleted Th,U,Nb,Ta,P and Ti,suggest that the Nianzi granitic unit was mainly derived from the partial melting of a thickened lower crust containing hydrous,calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline,mafic to intermediate metamorphic rocks.In light of these parameters,we further integrate our data with previous studies and conclude that the Nianzi granitic unit was generated in a post-collisional extensional environment during the Early Triassic.ZHANG Huijun WU Chu HE Fubing WANG Biren CUI Yubin LIU Zhenghua YOU Shina DONG Jing 2024Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2024,98,1:0
