2Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 3Selective Ferroptosis Inhibitor Liproxstatin-1 Attenuates Neurological Deficits and Neuroinflammation After Subarachnoid Hemorrhage显示文摘Ferroptosis is a form of iron-dependent regulated cell death.Evidence of its existence and the effects of its inhibitors on subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH)is still lacking.In the present study,we found that liproxstatin-1 protected HT22 cells against hemin-induced injury by protecting mitochondrial functions and ameliorating lipid peroxidation.In in vivo experiments,we demonstrated the presence of characteristic shrunken mitochondria in ipsilateral cortical neurons after SAH.Moreover,liproxstatin-1 attenuated the neurological deficits and brain edema,reduced neuronal cell death,and restored the redox equilibrium after SAH.The inhibition of ferroptosis by liproxstatin-1 was associated with the preservation of glutathione peroxidase 4 and the downregulation of acylCoA synthetase long-chain family member 4 as well as cyclooxygenase 2.In addition,liproxstatin-1 decreased the activation of microglia and the release of IL-6,IL-1 b,and TNF-a.These data enhance our understanding of cell death after SAH and shed light on future preclinical studies.Yang Cao Yin Li Chao He Feng Yan Jian-Ru Li Hang-Zhe Xu Jian-Feng Zhuang Hang Zhou Yu-Cong Peng Xiong-Jie Fu Xiao-Yang Lu Yuan Yao Yu-Yu Wei Yun Tong Yi-Fu Zhou Lin Wang 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,4:16
4High HIV incidence epidemic among men who have sex with men in china: results from a multi-site cross-sectional study显示文摘Background:Recent upsurge of new HIV infections among men who have sex with men(MSM)is a major concern in China.Paucity of national-level information regarding the burden and predictors of this progressive epidemic of new infections called for a multi-centric,timely and comprehensive investigation.Methods:Mixed methods were used to recruit MSM from seven cities in China between 2012 and 2013.Recent and established HIV infections were estimated by Western Blot and BED HIV-1 capture enzyme immunoassay.Syphilis and herpes simplex virus-2(HSV-2)were also tested.Results:A total of 4496 eligible MSM were recruited.The majority was aged≤35 years(77.5%),migrants(60.3%),never married(69.8%),and played receptive role in anal sex(70.5%).The HIV prevalence was 9.9%,and 41.9%were recently infected,with sensitivity/specificity adjusted HIV incidence of 8.9(95%CI:7.6-10.2)/100 Person-Years.The prevalence of history HSV-2 and syphilis were 12.5%and 8.5%,respectively.Recent HIV infection was associated with having multiple male partners(aOR=1.4,95%CI 1.1-1.9),recreational drug use(aOR=2.2,95%CI 1.6-3.0),anal bleeding(aOR=2.1,95%CI 1.4-3.0),syphilis infection(aOR=2.8,95%CI 1.9-4.3)and history HSV-2 infection(aOR=2.3,95%CI 1.5-3.3).Conclusion:High rate of recent HIV infection is potentially resulting in progressive deterioration of the overall HIV epidemic among MSM in China.Targeted interventions to address high-risk MSM including those having multiple partners,history of recreational drug use and syphilis or HSV-2 infection seemed to be the need of the hour.Jun-Jie Xu Wei-Ming Tang Hua-Chun Zou Tanmay Mahapatra Qing-Hai Hu Geng-Feng Fu Zhe Wang Lin Lu Ming-Hua Zhuang Xi Chen Ji-Hua Fu Yan-Qiu Yu Jin-Xin Lu Yong-Jun Jiang Wen-Qing Geng Xiao-Xu Han Hong Shang 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:14
5Characteristics of Settings and Etiologic Agents of Foodborne Disease Outbreaks—China,2020显示文摘Introduction:Foodborne diseases are a growing public health problem and have caused a large burden of disease in China.This study analyzed epidemiological characteristics of foodborne diseases in China in 2020 to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control measures.Methods:Data were collected from 30 of 31 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)in the mainland of China,excluding Xizang(Tibet)Autonomous Region,via the National Foodborne Disease Outbreaks Surveillance System・The number and proportion of outbreaks,illnesses,hospitalizations,deaths by setting,pathogen-food category pairs and etiology were calculated.Results:In 2020,7,073 foodborne disease outbreaks were reported,resulting in 37,454 illnesses and 143 deaths.Among the identified pathogens,microbial pathogens were the most common confirmed etiology,accounting for 41.7%of illnesses.Poisonous mushrooms caused the largest proportion of outbreaks(58.0%)and deaths(57.6%).For venues where foodborne disease outbreaks occur,household had the highest number of outbreaks(4,140)and deaths(128),and catering service locations caused the largest proportion of illnesses(59.9%).Outbreaks occurring between June and September accounted for 62.8%of total outbreaks.Conclusions:Foodborne disease outbreaks mainly occurred in households・Microbial pathogens remained the top cause of outbreak-associated illnesses.Poisonous mushrooms were ranked the top cause of deaths in private homes in China.The supervision and management of food safety and health education should be strengthened to reduce the burden of foodborne diseases・Publicity should be increased to reduce the incidence of mushroom poisonings in families,and supervision and management of food should be strengthened to reduce microbial contamination.Hongqiu Li Weiwei Li Yue Dai Yuyan Jiang Junhua Liang Santao Wang Maoqiang Zhuang Zheng Huang Lizi Xu Bo Xue Jikai Liu Haihong Han Sara M.Pires Ping Fu Yunchang Guo 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,42:14
6Acupuncture treatment of lung-spleen Qi deficiency in stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a randomized, open-label, controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture that reinforces the spleen to strengthen the lung in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).METHODS:This was a randomized,open-controlled trial in which the acupuncturist and the participants were not blinded,but the outcome evalu-ators and data analysts were blinded.One-hundred-and-two patients with stable COPD were randomly divided into two groups in a 1∶1 ratio.The acupuncture group received 30-minute sessions of acupuncture therapy at the same acupoints three times weekly for 6 weeks in addition to routine conventional Western Medicine treatment;the control group received routine conventional Western Medicine treatment alone.The primary outcome was the Borg scale score,which was assessed immediately after the 6-minute walk test.The secondary outcomes were the 6-minute walk distance,lung function,and oxygen saturation.Measurements were obtained at baseline and after 6 weeks of treatment.RESULTS:After 6 weeks of treatment,the Borg scale score in the acupuncture group was significantly better than that in the control group(2.02±0.71 versus 5.01±0.34,P<0.05).Furthermore,the post-treatment improvements in the 6-minute walk distance,lung function,and oxygen saturation were significantly greater in the acupuncture group than in the control group,showing that the acupuncture group had better exercise tolerance.CONCLUSION:The findings suggest that acupuncture that aims to reinforce the spleen to strengthen the lung is a safe and effective adjuvant therapy that effectively improves the exercise capacity of patients with stable COPD.Li Yu Xiong Chan Zeng Yan Wei Hua Zhuang Guangtong Zhao Lihong Li Chenyi Li Lin Qin Erqi Chen Xiaoqin Fu Juanjuan 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,6:13

8Enhancement of acellular cartilage matrix scaffold by Wharton’s jelly mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes to promote osteochondral regeneration显示文摘Articular cartilage defect repair is a problem that has long plagued clinicians.Although mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have the potential to regenerate articular cartilage,they also have many limitations.Recent studies have found that MSC-derived exosomes(MSC-Exos)play an important role in tissue regeneration.The purpose of this study was to verify whether MSC-Exos can enhance the reparative effect of the acellular cartilage extracellular matrix(ACECM)scaffold and to explore the underlying mechanism.The results of in vitro experiments show that human umbilical cord Wharton’s jelly MSC-Exos(hWJMSC-Exos)can promote the migration and proliferation of bone marrow-derived MSCs(BMSCs)and the proliferation of chondrocytes.We also found that hWJMSC-Exos can promote the polarization of macrophages toward the M2 phenotype.The results of a rabbit knee osteochondral defect repair model confirmed that hWJMSC-Exos can enhance the effect of the ACECM scaffold and promote osteochondral regeneration.We demonstrated that hWJMSC-Exos can regulate the microenvironment of the articular cavity using a rat knee joint osteochondral defect model.This effect was mainly manifested in promoting the polarization of macrophages toward the M2 phenotype and inhibiting the inflammatory response,which may be a promoting factor for osteochondral regeneration.In addition,microRNA(miRNA)sequencing confirmed that hWJMSC-Exos contain many miRNAs that can promote the regeneration of hyaline cartilage.We further clarified the role of hWJMSC-Exos in osteochondral regeneration through target gene prediction and pathway enrichment analysis.In summary,this study confirms that hWJMSC-Exos can enhance the effect of the ACECM scaffold and promote osteochondral regeneration.Shuangpeng Jiang Guangzhao Tian Zhen Yang Xiang Gao Fuxin Wang Juntan Li Zhuang Tian Bo Huang Fu Wei Xinyu Sang Liuqi Shao Jian Zhou Zhenyong Wang Shuyun Liu Xiang Sui Quanyi Guo Weimin Guo Xu Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:11

11Synthesis, structure and luminescent properties of yellow phosphor La3Si6N11 :Ce^3+ for high power white-LEDs显示文摘A series of high phase purity blue light excitable yellow-emitting La_(3-x)Si_6 N_(11):xCe^(3+) phosphors were synthesized by the high temperature solid state reactions method. The structure and luminescent properties were investigated. The phase structure was studied by means of X-ray diffraction, structures refinements and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The phosphors effectively excited by the light of450 nm and show intense yellow emission at 535 nm with FWHM of 115 nm corresponding to the5 d →~2 F_(5/2) and 5 d →~2 F_(7/2) transitions of Ce^(3+). In addition,the optimized La_(2.86)Si_6 N_(11):0.14 Ce^(3+) exhibits a weak thermal quenching, which remains 98.2% of the initial emission intensity when heated to 200 ℃,the thermal quenching properties exhibit a modest decline when the temperature returned to room temperature. 13Highly stable lead-free Cs3Bi2I9 perovskite nanoplates for photodetection applications显示文摘Lead halide perovskites have received tremendous attentions recently for their excellent properties such as high light absorption coefficient and long charge carrier diffusion length. However, the stability issues and the existence of toxic lead cations have largely limited their applications in optoelectronic area. Herein, we report the synthesis and investigation of highly stable and lead-free Cs3Bi2I9 perovskite nanoplates for visible light photodetection applications. The Cs3Bi2I9 nanoplates were synthesized through a facile solution-processed method, which is also applicable to various substrates. The achieved nanoplates present very good crystal quality and exhibit excellent long-term stability even exposed in moist air for several months. Photodetectors were constructed based on these high-quality perovskite nanoplates for the first time, and display a maximum photoresponsivity of 33.1 mA/W under the illumination of 450 nm laser, which is six times higher than the solution-synthesized CH3NH3PbI3 nanowire photodetectors. The specific detectivity of these devices can reach up to 10^10 Jones. Additionally, the devices exhibit fast rise and decay time of 10.2 and 37.2 ms, respectively, and highly stable photoswitching behavior with their photoresponse well retaining under alternating light and darkness. 15Effects of biochar amendments on soil water retention characteristics of red soil at south China显示文摘Biochar has been extensively used for the improvement of soil water retention.However,the effects of various biochars were not well determined.The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of three biochars[biochars made from bamboo(Bambusaceae),rice straw(Oryza sativa),and tobacco stem(Nicotiana L.)]on soil physical properties and the water retention characteristics of red soil at southeast China.The air-dried soil samples were mixed with ratios of 2%,5%,and 10%(w w^(−1))BC(bamboo biochar),RC(rice straw biochar),and TC(tobacco biochar),respectively,and evaluated for changes in soil bulk density(BD),soil saturated water content,field capacity,capillary porosity and soil hygroscopic coefficient.The results showed that BD decreased significantly with the application of the three types of biochar,total soil porosity and capillary porosity increased with the increase of the biochar ratio.The soil hygroscopic coefficient,wilting moisture capacity,saturated water content,and field capacity were significantly affected by the application of the three types of biochar.Compared with the other two treatments,the BC showed the best effects on soil water characteristics.BC treatments with addition ratios of 2%,5%,and 10%significantly decreased BD by 6.55%,18.03%,and 36.07%,respectively.Moreover,saturated water content and field capacity were increased by BC.BC treatments significantly increased the readily available water by 32.65%,42.49%,and 50.01%,respectively.However,the increased non-readily available water induced by the high ratio of biochar addition was not easily utilized by plants.Our results suggested that the biochar amendment can improve soil structure,decrease soil BD,boost soil porosity and capillary porosity,and increase soil moisture constant,and 2-5% of BC was recommended in the field condition.Zhuangzhuang Qian Luozhong Tang Shunyao Zhuang Yan Zou Delong Fu Xue Chen 2020Biochar2020,2,4:7
16Micro/nano multiscale reinforcing strategies toward extreme high-temperature applications:Take carbon/carbon composites and their coatings as the examples显示文摘Carbon fiber reinforced carbon composites(C/Cs),are the most promising high-temperature materials and could be widely applied in aerospace and nucleation fields,owing to their superior performances.However,C/Cs are very susceptible to destructive oxidation and thus fail at elevated temperatures.Though matrix modification and coating technologies with Si-based and ultra-high temperature ceramics(UHTCs)are valid to enhance the oxidation/ablation resistance of C/Cs,it’s not sufficient to satisfy the increasing practical applications,due to the inherent brittleness of ceramics,mismatch issues between coatings and C/C substrates,and the fact that carbonaceous matrices are easily prone to high-temperature oxidation.To effectively solve the aforementioned problems,micro/nano multiscale reinforcing strategies have been developed for C/Cs and/or the coatings over the past two decades,to fabricate C/Cs with high strength and excellent high-temperature stability.This review is to systematically summarize the most recent major and important advancements in some micro/nano multiscale strategies,including nanoparticles,nanowires,carbon nanotubes/fibers,whiskers,graphene,ceramic fibers and hybrid micro/nano structures,for C/Cs and/or the coatings,to achieve high-temperature oxidation/ablation-resistant C/Cs.Finally,this review is concluded with an outlook of major unsolved problems,challenges to be met and future research advice for C/Cs with excellent comprehensive mechanical-thermal performance.It’s hoped that a better understanding of this review will be of high scientific and industrial interest,since it provides unusual and feasible new ideas to develop potential and practical C/Cs with improved high-temperature mechanical and oxidation/ablation-resistant properties.Qiangang Fu Pei Zhang Lei Zhuang Lei Zhou Jiaping Zhang Jie Wang Xianghui Hou Ralf Riedel Hejun Li 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1:7

18TOOL PATH PLANNING USING VORONOI DIAGRAM AND THREE STACKS显示文摘Based on the object oriented data structure of Voronoi diagram, the algorithm of the trimmed offset generating and the optimal too l path planning of the pocket machining for multiply connected polygonal domains are studied. The intersection state transition rule is improved in this algorithm. The intersection is between the trimmed offsets and Voronoi polygon. On this basis, the trimmed offset generating and the optimal tool path planning are mad e with three stacks(I stack, C stack and P stack)in different monotonous pouches of Voronoi diagram. At the same time, a merging method of Voronoi diagram an d offsets generating for multiply connected polygonal domains is also presented. 19Treatment-seeking behaviour and barriers to service access for sexually transmitted diseases among men who have sex with men in China:a multicentre cross-sectional survey显示文摘Background:Delayed or inappropriate treatment for sexually transmitted diseases(STDs)increases the risk of HIV acquisition and may cause other harmful outcomes.However,studies on STD treatment-seeking behaviour and correlated factors in men who have sex with men(MSM)are scarce.This information is crucial for the promotion of STD treatment-seeking behaviour and reduction of HIV transmission among Chinese MSM.Methods:During 2012-2013,a multicentre cross-sectional study was conducted in 7 Chinese cities.Participants completed an interview-questionnaire and gave venous blood samples,which were then tested for antibodies to HIV,syphilis,and herpes simplex virus-2(HSV-2).MSM who tested positive for syphilis/HSV-2 or had obvious STD-related symptoms within the last 12 months were defined as suspected STD-infected MSM.Results:Of the 4496 eligible MSM who completed this survey,24.4%(1096/4496)were categorized as suspected STD-infected MSM.35.7%(391/1096)of these MSM with suspected STD infections sought STD treatment in clinics within the last 12 months.Among MSM who did not attend STD clinics for treatment,the prevalence of syphilis and HSV-2 was significantly higher;the HIV prevalence and incidence within this subpopulation reached as high as 14.5%and 12.2/100 person-years,respectively.Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that having 7-12 years of education(vs.≤6 years;aOR,2.5;95%CI,1.0-6.1),≥13 years of education(vs.≤6 years:aOR,2.8;95%CI,1.2-7.0),monthly income>500 USD(vs.≤500 USD:aOR,1.5;95%CI,1.1-2.1),obvious STD-related symptoms within last 12 months(aOR,5.3;95%CI,3.7-7.5),being HIV infected(aOR,1.7;95%CI,1.1-2.6),currently syphilis infected(aOR,0.6;95%CI,0.4-0.9)and HSV-2 infected(aOR,0.6;95%CI,0.5-0.9)were independent correlates with seeking STD treatment in clinics among Chinese MSM.Conclusions:The high prevalence of STD infection coupled with a low proportion of individuals who exhibit appropriate treatment-seeking behaviour create a high risk of a growing HIV epidemic among Chinese MSM.Models that prioritize better screening for and education about STDs should be urgently implemented,especially among low-income MSM.Jun-Jie Xu Yan-Qiu Yu Qing-Hai Hu Hong-Jing Yan Zhe Wang Lin Lu Ming-Hua Zhuang Xi Chen Ji-Hua Fu Wei-Ming Tang Wen-Qing Geng Yong-Jun Jiang Hong Shang 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:5
20Pharmacological Activation of RXR-a Promotes Hematoma Absorption via a PPAR-y-dependent Pathway After Intracerebral Hemorrhage显示文摘Endogenously eliminating the hematoma is a favorable strategy in addressing intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).This study sought to determine the role of retinoid X receptor-ot(RXR-a)in the context of hematoma absorption after ICH.Our results showed that pharmacologically activating RXR-a with bexarotene significantly accelerated hematoma clearance and alleviated neurological dysfunction after ICH.RXR-ot was expressed in microglia/macro-phages,neurons,and astrocytes.Mechanistically,bexarotene promoted the nuclear translocation of RXR-a and PPAR-y,as well as reducing neuroinflammation by modulating microglia/macrophage reprograming from the Ml into the M2 phenotype.Furthermore,all the beneficial effects of RXR-a in ICH were reversed by the PPAR-y inhibitor GW9662.In conclusion,the pharmacological activation of RXR-a confers robust neuroprotection against ICH by accelerating hematoma clearance and repolarizing microglia/macrophages towards the M2 phenotype through PPAR-y-related mechanisms.Our data support the notion that RXR-ot might be a promising therapeutic target for ICH.Chaoran Xu Huaijun Chen Shengjun Zhou Chenjun Sun Xiaolong Xia Yucong Peng Jianfeng Zhuang Xiongjie Fu Hanhai Zeng Hang Zhou Yang Cao Qian Yu Yin Li Libin Hu Guoyang Zhou Feng Yan Gao Chen Jianru Li 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,10:4
