1Molecular and cellular bases of chronic myeloid leukemia显示文摘Chronic myeloid leukemia(CML)is a myeloproliferative disease characterized by the overproduction of granulocytes,which leads to high white blood cell counts and splenomegaly in patients.Based on clinical symptoms and laboratory findings,CML is classified into three clinical phases,often starting with a chronic phase,progressing to an accelerated phase and ultimately ending in a terminal phase called blast crisis.Blast crisis phase of CML is clinically similar to an acute leukemia;in particular,B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B-ALL)is a severe form of acute leukemia in blast crisis,and there is no effective therapy for it yet.CML is induced by the BCR-ABL oncogene,whose gene product is a BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase.Currently,inhibition of BCR-ABL kinase activity by its kinase inhibitor such as imatinib mesylate(Gleevec)is a major therapeutic strategy for CML.However,the inability of BCR-ABL kinase inhibitors to completely kill leukemia stem cells(LSCs)indicates that these kinase inhibitors are unlikely to cure CML.In addition,drug resistance due to the development of BCRABL mutations occurs before and during treatment of CML with kinase inhibitors.A critical issue to resolve this problem is to fully understand the biology of LSCs,and to identify key genes that play significant roles in survival and self-renewal of LSCs.In this review,we will focus on LSCs in CML by summarizing and discussing available experimental results,including the original studies from our own laboratory.Yaoyu Chen Cong Peng Dongguang Li Shaoguang Li 2010Protein & Cell2010,1,2:10

5Potential and Suitability Evaluation of CO_2 Geological Storage in Major Sedimentary Basins of China,and the Demonstration Project in Ordos Basin显示文摘From 2010 to 2012, the China Geological Survey Center for Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology Survey(CHEGS) carried out the project 'Potential evaluation and demonstration project of CO2 Geological Storage in China'. During this project, we developed an evaluation index system and technical methods for the potential and suitability of CO2 geological storage based on China's geological conditions, and evaluated the potential and suitability of the primary basins for CO2 geological storage, in order to draw a series of regional scale maps(at a scale of 1:5000000) and develop an atlas of the main sedimentary basins in China. By using these tools, we delineated many potential targets for CO2 storage. We also built techniques and methods for site selection and the exploration and assessment of CO2 geological storage in deep saline aquifers. 6Near infrared spectral and polarization imaging observation of coronal emission lines during the 2008 total solar eclipse显示文摘During the 2008 total solar eclipse, the coronal emission lines were observed by using optical fibre spectrometric and polarization imaging system in near infrared waveband. The profiles of the coronal emission lines including Fe XIII 10747 , 10798  and He I 10830  were obtained with dispersion of 0.5 /pix. The intensity of Fe XIII 10747  remained unchanged in the two different coronal regions while the intensity of He I 10830  varied considerably in the two coronal locations no matter whether the prominence appeared or not. 8Distribution of δ^(34)S and δ^(18)O in SO_4^(2-) in Groundwater from the Ordos Cretaceous Groundwater Basin and Geological Implications显示文摘The Ordos Cretaceous Groundwater Basin,located in an arid-semiarid area in northwestern China,is a large-style groundwater basin.SO_4^(2-) is one of the major harmful components in groundwater.Dissolved SO_4^(2-) concentrations,andδ^(34)S-SO_4^(2-) andδ^(18)O-SO_4^(2-) in groundwater from 14 boreholes and in gypsum from aquifer were analyzed.Results show that SO_4^(2-) in shallow groundwaters originates from precipitation,sulfide oxidation,and dissolution of stratum sulphate,with a big range ofδ^(34)S values,from-10.7‰to 9.2‰,and addition of SO_4^(2-) in deep groundwater results from dissolution of stratum sulphate,with biggerδ^(34)S values,from 7.8‰to 18.5‰,compared with those in shallow groundwater.This research also indicates that three types of sulphate are present in the strata,and characterized by highδ^(34)S values and highδ^(18)O values-style,highδ^(34)S values and middleδ^(18)O valuesstyle, middleδ^(34)S values and lowδ^(18)O values-style,respectively.Theδ^(34)S-SO_4^(2-) andδ^(18)O-SO_4^(2-) in groundwater have a good perspective for application in distinguishing different groundwater systems and determining groundwater circulation and evolution in this area.YANG Yuncheng SHEN Zhaoli WEN Dongguang HOU Guangcai SHE Hongquan ZHAO Zhenhong WANG Dong LI Jingwen 2010Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2010,84,2:3

12The calibration and initial results of the HeI D3 line flash spectrum obtained during the 2008 total solar eclipse显示文摘The flash spectra in the HeI D3 line were obtained during the 2008 total solar eclipse. This paper describes the instrument and the calibration of the obtained flash spectrum, and presents our initial results. The average integrated intensity is Eave = 8.13×1013 erg·cm-1· s-1·ster-1 at h = 1100 km, which confirms that the HeI D3 emission is negatively correlated with the solar activity. 13Supermodulus effect by grain-boundary wetting in nanostructured multilayers显示文摘The effect of thermal treatments on mechanical properties was systematically investigated in Ni/Mo multilayers with a constant modulation period(160 nm)prepared by magnetron sputtering deposition.A supermodulus effect was found in the annealed multilayers as compared to the as-deposited state.A large tensile stress development was observed in the multilayers.The evolution of grain-boundary(GB)wetting was observed at the interfaces of the multilayers,which results in an enhanced modulus based on the mechanism of GB-wetting-induced interfacial stress/strain.The GB wetting phenomenon was further supported by a thermodynamic calculation.The results not only bring clear evidence of the important role of interfacial structures in governing the elastic behavior of metallic multilayers,but also allow designing the multilayers with special properties through atomic diffusion and wetting at the interfaces based on the thermodynamic calculation.Jing Wang Lu Han Xiaohu Li Dongguang Liu Laima Luo Yuan Huang Yongchang Liu Zumin Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:1
