| 2 | Experimental and numerical investigation of the influence of roughness and turbulence on LUT airfoil performance显示文摘Vertical-axis wind turbines(VAWTs)have been widely used in urban environments,which contain dust and experience strong turbulence.However,airfoils for VAWTs in urban environments have received considerably less research attention than those for horizontal-axis wind turbines(HAWTs).In this study,the sensitivity of a new VAWT airfoil developed at the Lanzhou University of Technology(LUT)to roughness was investigated via a wind tunnel experiment.The results show that the LUT airfoil is less sensitive to roughness at a roughness height of<0.35 mm.Moreover,the drag bucket of the LUT airfoil decreases with increasing roughness height.Furthermore,the loads on the LUT airfoil during dynamic stall were studied at different turbulence intensities using a numerical method at a tip-speed ratio of 2.Before the stall,the turbulence intensity did not considerably affect the normal or tangential force coefficients of the LUT airfoil.However,after the stall,the normal force coefficient varied obviously at low turbulence intensity.Moreover,as the turbulence intensity increased,the normal and tangential force coefficients decreased rapidly,particularly in the downwind region of the VAWT. | Shoutu Li Ye Li Congxin Yang Xiaobo Zheng Qing Wang Yin Wang Deshun Li Wenrui Hu | 2019 | Acta Mechanica Sinica2019,35,6: | 3 |
| 3 | The Conservation Status and Conservation Strategy of Picea neoveitchii显示文摘Picea neoveitchii is an endemic species in China. It had been listed as an endangered species in red data books. It scatters in several locations of south slope of the Qinling Mountain of China. Upon reviewing the related literature, discussing with leading scholars on gymnosperm, ecology and plant conservation, the field survey was carried out in four locations. There are eleven mature individuals and two seedlings surviving in its natural habitats. With the survey of quadrat method in four locations, related community index were calculated such as relative important value (RIV), species richness, similarity index, diversity index and evenness index etc. The community could be sorted and characterized as three groups based on the community parameters. The analysis of vegetation table elucidates that Picea neoveitchii is a dominant species with low grouping rate in most surveyed sites. The RAPD analysis shows target species has intraspecific genetic variability. The estimation of Shannon’s phenotypic diversity index (Ho) also explains the difference of genetic variations of different locations. Due to the lack of enough knowledge and professional guide of conservation biological perspective, Picea neoveitchii had been clear-cut for timber production. The extent of occurrence and area of occupancy declined rapidly from 1950s to 1990s. According to the Conservation Category guideline proposed by the World Conservation Union, the conservation status of Picea neoveitchii was reevaluated as Critically Endangered (CR) B2b C2a D. | 5 | Recent improvements of actuator line-large-eddy simulation method for wind turbine wakes显示文摘In a large wind farm,the wakes of upstream and downstream wind turbines can interfere with each other,affecting the overall power output of the wind farm.To further improve the numerical accuracy of the turbine wake dynamics under atmosphere turbulence,this work proposes some improvements to the actuator line-large-eddy simulation(AL-LES)method.Based on the dynamic k-equation large-eddy simulation(LES),this method uses a precursor method to generate atmospheric inflow turbulence,models the tower and nacelle wakes,and improves the body force projection method based on an anisotropic Gaussian distribution function.For these three improvements,three wind tunnel experiments are used to validate the numerical accuracy of this method.The results show that the numerical results calculated in the far-wake region can reflect the characteristics of typical onshore and offshore wind conditions compared with the experimental results.After modeling the tower and nacelle wakes,the wake velocity distribution is consistent with the experimental result.The radial migration velocity of the tip vortex calculated by the improved blade body force distribution model is 0.32 m/s,which is about 6%different from the experimental value and improves the prediction accuracy of the tip vortex radial movement.The method proposed in this paper is very helpful for wind turbine wake dynamic analysis and wind farm power prediction. | Zhiteng GAO Ye LI Tongguang WANG Shitang KE Deshun LI | 2021 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2021,42,4: | 2 |
| 6 | A nonlinear model for aerodynamic configuration of wake behind horizontal-axis wind turbine显示文摘Determination of the aerodynamic configuration of wake is the key to analysis and evaluation of the rotor aerodynamic characteristics of a horizontal-axis wind turbine. According to the aerodynamic configuration, the real magnitude and direction of the onflow velocity at the rotor blade can be determined, and subsequently, the aerodynamic force on the rotor can be determined. The commonly employed wake aerodynamic models are of the cylindrical form instead of the actual expanding one. This is because the influence of the radial component of the induced velocity on the wake configuration is neglected. Therefore, this model should be called a 'linear model'. Using this model means that the induced velocities at the rotor blades and aerodynamic loads on them would be inexact. An approximately accurate approach is proposed in this paper to determine the so-called 'nonlinear' wake aerodynamic configuration by means of the potential theory, where the influence of all three coordinate components of the induced velocity on wake aerodynamic configuration is taken into account to obtain a kind of expanding wake that approximately looks like an actual one. First, the rotor aerodynamic model composed of axial (central), bound, and trailing vortexes is established with the help of the finite aspect wing theory. Then, the Biot-Savart formula for the potential flow theory is used to derive a set of integral equations to evaluate the three components of the induced velocity at any point within the wake. The numerical solution to the integral equations is found, and the loci of all elementary trailing vortex filaments behind the rotor are determined thereafter. Finally, to formulate an actual wind turbine rotor, using the nonlinear wake model, the induced velocity everywhere in the wake, especially that at the rotor blade, is obtained in the case of various tip speed ratios and compared with the wake boundary in a neutral atmospheric boundary layer. | 8 | Expression Pattern and Target Gene of bbu-miR-103-1 in Buffalo(Bubalus bubalis) at Lactation and Non-lactation Periods显示文摘[Objective] The paper aimed to investigate the expression pattern of bbu-miR-103-1 in buffalo( Bubalus bubalis) at lactation and non-lactation periods,and to predict its target gene and function. [Method]Expression pattern of bbu-miR-103-1 at lactation and non-lactation periods were detected by qRT-PCR.The precursor expression plasmid of bbu-miR-103-1 was constructed and named LpEZX-pre-miR-103-1. It was packaged and propagated to produce high-titer lentivirus in 293 T cell lines,which could be used to infect buffalo mammary epithelial cells( BMECs) and over express bbu-miR-103-1. The inhibitor of bbu-miR-103-1 was chemically synthesized and transfected into BMECs to suppress bbu-miR-103-1 at the same time. The relative expression of pantothenate kinase 3( PANK3) and milk fat metabolism related genes were detected by qRT-PCR. [Result]The relative expression of bbu-miR-103-1 at lactation period was 5. 29 times higher than that at non-lactation period in buffalo( P < 0. 01). The LpEZX-pre-miR-103-1 had been successfully constructed and packaged with the infection titer of 3. 47 × 10~6 PFU/m L. Overexpress or suppress of bbu-miR-103-1 extremely down-regulated or up-regulated the expression level of PANK3 in BMECs( P < 0. 01).Over expression of bbu-miR-103-1 extremely enhanced the expression of Acetyl-CoA carboxylase alpha( ACACA),Glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase 1 mitochondrial( GPAM),Diacylglycerol Oacyltransferase 1( DGAT1) and Pyruvate dehydrogenase lipoamide kinase isozyme 4( PDK4)( P < 0. 01),and also significantly up-regulated the expression of sterol regulatory element binding protein-1c( SREBP1c),Adipose differentiation-related protein( ADFP),Cluster of differentiation36( CD36),Acetyl-Co A synthetase short-chain subfamily member 1( ACSS1)( P < 0. 05). | 9 | Effects of the particle Stokes number on wind turbine airfoil erosion显示文摘Under natural conditions, wind turbines are inevitably eroded by the action of sand-wind flow. To further investigate the effects of dust drift on the erosion of the wind turbine blades in sand-wind environments, the effects of the wind velocity, particle diameter, and particle density on the erosion of wind turbine airfoils are studied, and the effects of the particle Stokes number on the airfoil erosion are discussed. The results show that, when the angle of attack(AOA) is 6.1°, there will be no erosion on the airfoil surface if the particle Stokes number is lower than 0.013 5, whereas erosion will occur if the particle Stokes number is higher than 0.015 1. Therefore, there exists a critical range for the particle Stokes number. When the particle Stokes number is higher than the maximum value in the critical range, airfoil erosion will occur. The result is further confirmed by changing the particle diameter, particle density, and inflow speed. It is shown that the erosion area on the airfoil and the maximum erosion rate are almost equal under the same particle Stokes number and AOA. The extent of airfoil erosion increases when the particle Stokes number increases, and the critical particle Stokes number increases when the AOA increases. | 18 | Performance Evaluation of Topologies for Multi-Domain Software-Defined Networking显示文摘Software-defined networking(SDN)is widely used in multiple types of data center networks,and these distributed data center networks can be integrated into a multi-domain SDN by utilizing multiple controllers.However,the network topology of each control domain of SDN will affect the performance of the multidomain network,so performance evaluation is required before the deployment of the multi-domain SDN.Besides,there is a high cost to build real multi-domain SDN networks with different topologies,so it is necessary to use simulation testing methods to evaluate the topological performance of the multi-domain SDN network.As there is a lack of existing methods to construct a multi-domain SDN simulation network for the tool to evaluate the topological performance automatically,this paper proposes an automated multi-domain SDN topology performance evaluation framework,which supports multiple types of SDN network topologies in cooperating to construct a multi-domain SDN network.The framework integrates existing single-domain SDN simulation tools with network performance testing tools to realize automated performance evaluation of multidomain SDN network topologies.We designed and implemented a Mininet-based simulation tool that can connect multiple controllers and run user-specified topologies in multiple SDN control domains to build and test multi-domain SDN networks faster.Then,we used the tool to perform performance tests on various data center network topologies in single-domain and multi-domain SDN simulation environments.Test results show that Space Shuffle has the most stable performance in a single-domain environment,and Fat-tree has the best performance in a multi-domain environment.Also,this tool has the characteristics of simplicity and stability,which can meet the needs of multi-domain SDN topology performance evaluation. | Jiangyuan Yao Weiping Yang Shuhua Weng Minrui Wang Zheng Jiang Deshun Li Yahui Li Xingcan Cao | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,10: | 0 |
