| 1 | Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children. | Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9: | 158 |

| 3 | Breeding wheat for resistance to Fusarium head blight in the Global North: China, USA, and Canada显示文摘The objective of this paper is to review progress made in wheat breeding for Fusarium head blight(FHB) resistance in China, the United States of America(USA), and Canada. In China,numerous Chinese landraces possessing high levels of FHB resistance were grown before the 1950 s. Later, pyramiding multiple sources of FHB resistance from introduced germplasm such as Mentana and Funo and locally adapted cultivars played a key role in combining satisfactory FHB resistance and high yield potential in commercial cultivars.Sumai 3, a Chinese spring wheat cultivar, became a major source of FHB resistance in the USA and Canada, and contributed to the release of more than 20 modern cultivars used for wheat production, including the leading hard spring wheat cultivars Alsen, Glenn, Barlow and SY Ingmar from North Dakota, Faller and Prosper from Minnesota, and AAC Brandon from Canada. Brazilian wheat cultivar Frontana, T. dicoccoides and other local germplasm provided additional sources of resistance. The FHB resistant cultivars mostly relied on stepwise accumulation of favorable alleles of both genes for FHB resistance and high yield,with marker-assisted selection being a valuable complement to phenotypic selection. | 4 | Phylogenetic diversity and specificity of bacteria associated with Microcystis aeruginosa and other cyanobacteria显示文摘Interactions between bacteria and cyanobacteria have been suggested to have a potential to influence harmful algal bloom dynamics; however, little information on these interactions has been reported. In this study, the bacterial communities associated with five strains of Microcystis aeruginosa, three species of other Microcystis spp., and four representative species of non-Microcystis cyanobacteria were compared. Bacterial 16S rDNA fragments were amplified and separated by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) followed by DNA sequence analysis. The similarities among bacterial communities associated with these cyanobacteria were compared to the digitized DGGE profiles using the cluster analyses. The bacterial community structure of all cyanobacterial cultures differed. Cluster analysis showed that the similarity values among M. aeruginosa cultures were higher than those of other cyanobacterial cultures. Sequence analysis of DGGE fragments indicated the presence of bacteria including, Alphaproteobacteria, Betaproteobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Actinobacteria in the cyanobacterial cultures. Members of the Sphingomonadales were the prevalent group among the Microcystis-associated bacteria. | 5 | A unified poroviscoelastic model with mesoscopic and microscopic heterogeneities显示文摘The wave-induced fluid flow(WIFF) is considered to be the main cause of dispersion and attenuation of seismic waves in fluid-saturated porous media. Among numerous theories, the mesoscopic and microscopic heterogeneities are considered to be the primary mechanisms causing the WIFF. Furthermore,in most rocks, the mesoscopic and microscopic heterogeneities exist simultaneously and can cause obvious transitions of the fast P-wave velocity, which means it is necessary to consider the influence of the two mechanisms on the dispersion and attenuation simultaneously. Numerous results have shown that the dispersions and attenuations caused by these two mechanisms can be approximated in terms of the Zener model. To combine the two mechanisms into a unified model, we introduce a new generalized Zener model into the Biot poroelasticity theory to obtain a new poroviscoelastic model. | 6 | Study on Al2O3 Extraction From Activated Coal Gangue under Different Calcination Atmospheres显示文摘Coal gangue was calcinated under air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, air-hydrogen, and hydrogen atmospheres. The effects of different calcination temperatures and atmospheres on the mineral composition of activated coal gangue were investigated by X-ray diffraction. Moreover, the acid leaching kinetics of aluminum oxide from coal gangue was investigated with sulfuric acid. It showed that the air atmosphere promoted kaolinite decomposition during coal gangue calcination. The hydrogen atmosphere promoted the activation and decomposition of kaolinite at reaction temperatures exceeding 650℃. The carbon dioxide atmosphere eliminated the influence of residual carbon on coal gangue. When the ratio of acid/coal gangue was 1.5 and reaction temperature was 650℃, the sulfuric acid leaching rate under air,air-hydrogen,carbon dioxide,hydrogen and nitrogen atmospheres were 93.66%,90.90%, 84.06%, 81.91% and 77.54% respectively. The acid leaching reaction process conformed to unreacted shrinking core model of particle unchanged, and was controlled by the interfacial chemical reaction. | 7 | Spatial heterogeneity of cyanobacterial communities and genetic variation of Microcystis populations within large,shallow eutrophic lakes(Lake Taihu and Lake Chaohu,China)显示文摘Cyanobacteria,specifically Microcystis,usually form massive blooms in eutrophic freshwater lakes.Cyanobacterial samples were collected from eight sites of both Lake Taihu and Lake Chaohu in late summer to determine the diversity and distribution pattern of cyanobacteria and Microcystis in large,shallow,entropic lakes with significant spatial heterogeneity and long-term Microcystis bloom.Molecular methods based on denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis and clone library analysis were used.A similar heterogeneous distribution pattern of cyanobacteria in both lakes was observed.Most parts of these two lakes with high trophic level were dominated by Microcystis.However,in the regions with low trophic levels as well as low concentrations of chlorophyll a,Synechococcus occupied a considerable percentage.Different morphospecies and genotypes dominated the bloom-forming Microcystis populations in these two lakes.Microcystis viridis and Microcystis novacekii were dominant in Lake Chaohu,whereas Microcystis flos-aquae was dominant in Lake Taihu.Only 2 of the13 Microcystis operational taxonomic units were shared between these two lakes.Analysis of molecular variance based on 16S to 23S internal transcribed spacer sequences indicated the significant genetic differentiation of Microcystis between these two lakes(F st = 0.19,p < 0.001).However,only 19.46% of the genetic variability was explained by the population variation between lakes,whereas most(80.54%) of the genetic variability occurred within the lakes.Phylogenetic analysis revealed no phylogeographic structure of Microcystis population in these two lakes,as illustrated by their cosmopolitan nature.Our results revealed that spatial heterogeneity within lakes has more impact on the cyanobacterial diversity than geographical isolation in a local scale. | Yuanfeng Cai Fanxiang Kong Limei Shi Yang Yu | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,10: | 5 |

| 9 | Selenium-enriched and ordinary green tea extracts prevent high blood pressure and alter gut microbiota composition of hypertensive rats caused by high-salt diet显示文摘High-salt diet is well recognized as a risk factor for hypertension,and dietary intervention plays a critical role in the prevention of hypertension.The current study investigated the effects of selenium-enriched green tea(Se-GT)and ordinary green tea(GT)on prevention of hypertension of rats induced by high-salt diet,as well as their potential regulatory and mechanism.Our results showed that GT and Se-GT supplementations significantly prevented the increase of blood pressure(BP),activated the phosphoinosmde-3-kinase/protein kinase B(PI3K/Akt)signaling pathway,and regulated the gene expression related to BP,as well as improved the tissue damage like heart,liver,and kidneys.Besides,the key parameters associated with oxidative stress,inflammation and endothelial dysfunction were also altered by GT and Se-GT treatments.Importantly,GT or Se-GT administration adjusted the diversity and composition of the intestinal flora.Moreover,GT and Se-GT supplementations increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria and reduced the abundance of harmful or conditional pathogenic bacteria.More specifically,GT intake specifically and significantly enriched the relative abundance of Paraprevotella and Bacteroides,whereas Se-GT was characterized by specific and significant enrichment for Allobaculum and Bifidobacterium.Our results proved that dietary supplement of GT and Se-GT remarkably improved the vascular functions and effectively prevented tissue damage by regulation of intestinal flora,and thus preventing hypertension induced by high-salt diet. | Meirong Wu Xiaobin Wu Jiangxiong Zhu Fanglan Li Xinlin Wei Yuanfeng Wang | 2022 | Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3: | 4 |
| 10 | Variation of Thornthwaite Moisture Index in Hengduan Mountains, China显示文摘The Thornthwaite moisture index, an index of the supply of water(precipitation) in an area relative to the climatic demand for water(potential evapotranspiration), was used to examine the spatial and temporal variation of drought and to verify the influence of environmental factors on the drought in the Hengduan Mountains, China. Results indicate that the Thornthwaite moisture index in the Hengduan Mountains had been increasing since 1960 with a rate of 0.1938/yr. Annual Thornthwaite moisture index in Hengduan Mountains was between –97.47 and 67.43 and the spatial heterogeneity was obvious in different seasons. Thornthwaite moisture index was high in the north and low in the south, and the monsoon rainfall had a significant impact on its spatial distribution. The tendency rate of Thornthwaite moisture index variation varied in different seasons, and the increasing trends in spring were greater than that in summer and autumn. However, the Thornthwaite moisture index decreased in winter. Thornthwaite moisture index increased greatly in the north and there was a small growth in the south of Hengduan Mountains. The increase of precipitation and decrease of evaporation lead to the increase of Thornthwaite moisture index. Thornthwaite moisture index has strong correlation with vegetation coverage. It can be seen that the correlation between Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI) and Thornthwaite moisture index was positive in spring and summer, but negative in autumn and winter. Correlation between Thornthwaite moisture index and relative soil relative moisture content was positive in spring, summer and autumn, but negative in winter. The typical mountainous terrain affect the distribution of temperature, precipitation, wind speed and other meteorological factors in this region, and then affect the spatial distribution of Thornthwaite moisture index. The unique ridge-gorge terrain caused the continuity of water-heat distribution from the north to south, and the water-heat was stronger than that from the east to west part, and thus determined the spatial distribution of Thornthwaite moisture index. | 12 | Broadband mid-infrared molecular spectroscopy based on passive coherent optical–optical modulated frequency combs显示文摘Mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy is of great interest owing to the strong spectroscopic features of trace gases,biological molecules,and solid matter with higher resolution,accuracy,and acquisition speed. However,the prerequisite of achieving high coherence of optical sources with the use of bulk sophisticated control systems prevents their widespread use in field applications. Here we generate a highly mutually coherent dual midinfrared comb spectrometer based on the optical–optical modulation of a continuous-wave (CW) interband or quantum cascade laser. Mutual coherence was passively achieved without post-data processes or active carrier envelope phase-locking processes. The center wavelength of the generated mid-infrared frequency combs can be flexibly tuned by adjusting the wavelength of the CW seeds. The parallel detection of multiple molecular species,including C_(2)H_(2),CH_(4),H_(2)CO,H_(2)S,COS,and H_(2)O,was achieved. | 14 | Mineralogical feature and geological significance of muscovites from the Longyuanba Indosinian and Yanshannian two-mica granites in the eastern Nanling Range显示文摘Emplacement P-T condition estimations using granites are important for understanding metamorphic and erosional processes of orogenic belt.Granites are widespread in South China and a majority of them are peraluminous.Particularly,over 91%of the Indosinian granites exposed in the region are peraluminous in composition.It is extremely hard to determine the pressure of intrusion of these peraluminous granites due to the absence of amphibole,a good mineral barometer commonly identified in metaluminous granites.Muscovite is a common mineral in peraluminous granites,certain kind of it could be used as a mineral barometer to constrain the emplacement pressure of peraluminous granites.In this paper,results of petrographic and geochemical studies of muscovites from the Indosinian and early Yanshanian two-mica granites at the Longyuanba in the eastern Nanling Range are reported.Based on petrographic studies,the primary muscovite can be discriminated from the secondary muscovites.Muscovites from the Indosinian two-mica granites are enriched in Ti,Al,Mg,and Na,and depleted in Fe and Mn.Geochemically,these muscovites were considered as primary,whereas those from the Yanshanian two-mica granites fall into the area of secondary muscovite on discrimination diagrams.Barometer estimations show that pressures calculated for primary muscovites are accurate,but those calculated for secondary muscovites are overestimated.The average pressure of emplacement of the Longyuanba Indosinian two-mica granites is 5.9 kbar,corresponding to^19 km in depth,suggesting that the Indosinian granitic magmas were probably generated by partial melting of a thickened crust root in a compressional tectonic setting. | TAO JiHua LI WuXian CAI YuanFeng CEN Tao | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,6: | 3 |
| 15 | A nonlocal gradient concentration method for image smoothing显示文摘It is challenging to consistently smooth natural images, yet smoothing results determine the quality of a broad range of applications in computer vision. To achieve consistent smoothing, we propose a novel optimization model making use of the redundancy of natural images, by defining a nonlocal concentration regularization term on the gradient. This nonlocal constraint is carefully combined with a gradientsparsity constraint, allowing details throughout the whole image to be removed automatically in a datadriven manner. As variations in gradient between similar patches can be suppressed effectively, the new model has excellent edge preserving, detail removal,and visual consistency properties. Comparisons with state-of-the-art smoothing methods demonstrate the effectiveness of the new method. | 19 | A new electroplated Ir/Ir(OH)_x pH electrode and its application in the coastal areas of Newport Harbor, California显示文摘Resulting from the rising levels of atmospheric carbon, ocean acidification has become a global problem. It has significant impacts on the development, survival, growth and physiology of marine organisms. Therefore, a highprecision sensor is urgently needed to measure the pH of sea-water. Iridium wire with a diameter of 0.25 mm is used as the substrate, and an Ir/Ir(OH)_x pH electrode is prepared by a one-step electrochemical method in a Li OH solution at the room temperature. A scanning electron microscope(SEM) observation reveals that it is coated with nanoscale particles. In laboratory tests, the electrode exhibits a very promising pH response, with an ideal Nernst slope(56.14–59.52), fast response, good stability and long life-span in tested pH buffer solutions. For a sea trial,four pH electrodes and one Ag/Ag Cl reference electrode are integrated with a self-made chemical sensor, and a profile detection of nearly 70 m is implemented near Newport Harbor, California on August 3, 2015. The results reflect that the pH value measured by the sensor is very close to the data given by Sea-Bird 911 plus CTD, with a difference value ranging from 0.000 075 to 0.064 719. And the sensor shows a better data matching degree in 0–40m water depth. | 20 | Doppler velocimeter based on dual-comb absorption spectroscopy显示文摘The determination of airflow parameters is essential to the research of critical information on environment monitoring,chemical kinetics,and aerodynamic and propulsion applications.During the past few decades,tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy has become a common and efficient tool for the flow velocity measurement based on the Doppler shift of the absorption line.Dual-comb absorption spectroscopy(DCAS),as a state-of-theart Fourier-transform broadband spectroscopic technique,not only can detect multiple trace molecules in parallel but also can extract Doppler shifts to derive the flow velocity through the analysis of dozens of molecular absorption lines simultaneously with high precision.Here,we report a proof-of-principle demonstration of the velocity measurements of acetylene at various flow velocities by means of a high-resolution and broadband DCAS.Mode-resolved Doppler-shifted rotational-vibrational lines in the P branch of acetylene molecules are obtained.A model for multiline Doppler frequency determination is investigated and experimentally verified.The flow velocity measurements with a measuring uncertainty down to the submeter per second over the range from 8.7 m/s to 44.8 m/s at an effective time resolution of 1 s and a measuring uncertainty of 1.97 m/s at 0.1 s are demonstrated.With broadband mid-infrared frequency combs covering atmospheric transmission windows,the open-path measurement for monitoring diffusion of the weak pollutant source would be realized. | CHENGLIN GU XING ZOU ZHONG ZUO DAOWANG PENG YUANFENG DI YANG LIU DAPING LUO WENXUE LI | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,12: | 2 |
