| 1 | Ferrites boosting photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over graphitic carbon nitride: a case study of(Co, Ni)Fe_2O_4 modification显示文摘The charge carrier separation and surface catalytic redox reactions are of primary importance as elementary steps in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution. In this study, both of these two processes in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_3N_4) were greatly promoted with the earth-abundant ferrites(Co,Ni)Fe_2O_4modification. Co Fe_2O_4 was further demonstrated to be a better modifier for g-C_3N_4 as compared to Ni Fe_2O_4,due to the more efficient charge carrier transfer as well as superior surface oxidative catalytic activity. When together loading Co Fe_2O_4 and reductive hydrogen production electrocatalyst Pt onto g-C_3N_4, the obtained Pt/g-C_3N_4/Co Fe_2O_4 photocatalyst achieved visible-light(λ>420 nm) hydrogen production rate 3.5 times as high as Pt/g-C_3N_4, with the apparent quantum yield reaching 3.35 % at 420 nm. | Jie Chen Daming Zhao Zhidan Diao Miao Wang Shaohua Shen | 2016 | Science Bulletin2016,61,4: | 10 |

| 3 | Thermo-Calc based multi-component micro-segregation model and solidification paths calculations显示文摘On the basis of a multi-length scale modeling, a mixture-averaged multi-component /multiphase micro-segregation model was proposed without pre-set function for the micro-scale solute profile. The model explains the effect of morphologies of solidifying phases and solid back diffusion (SBD) on segregation, and covers the two limiting solidification cases of Scheil and Lever-rule models. A commercial Thermo-Calc software package/database was linked to the algorithms via its TQ6-interface for instantaneous determination of the related thermodynamic data of the multi-component alloys. The influences of cooling rate and other parameters on the solidification path and micro-segregation behavior were numerically investigated by sample calculation of the ternary Al-Cu-Mg alloys. A parallel experimental investigation on Al-Cu-Si alloys solidified under different cooling conditions was conducted to validate the theoretical model. | 4 | Electron-Deficient Zn-N_(6) Configuration Enabling Polymeric Carbon Nitride for Visible-Light Photocatalytic Overall Water Splitting显示文摘Despite of suitable band structures for harvesting solar light and driving water redox reactions,polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)has suffered from poor charge transfer ability and sluggish surface reaction kinetics,which limit its photocatalytic activity for water splitting.Herein,atomically dispersed Zn-coordinated three-dimensional(3D)sponge-like PCN(Zn-PCN)is synthesized through a novel intermediate coordination strategy.Advanced characterizations and theoretical calculations well evidence that Zn single atoms are coordinated and stabilized on PCN in the form of Zn-N_(6) configura-tion featured with an electron-deficient state.Such an electronic configuration has been demonstrated contributive to promoted electron excitation,accelerated charge separation and transfer as well as reduced water redox barriers.Further benefited from the abundant surface active sites derived from the 3D porous structure,Zn-PCN realizes visible-light photocatalysis for overall water splitting with H_(2) and O_(2) simultaneously evolved at a stoichiometric ratio of 2:1.This work brings new insights into the design of novel single-atom photocatalysts by deepening the understanding of electronic configurations and reactive sites favorable to excellent photocatalysis for water splitting and related solar energy conversion reactions. | Daming Zhao Yiqing Wang Chung-Li Dong Fanqi Meng Yu-Cheng Huang Qinghua Zhang Lin Gu Lan Liu Shaohua Shen | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12: | 2 |

| 6 | Development and validation of a novel nomogram to predict aneurysm rupture in patients with multiple intracranial aneurysms:a multicentre retrospective study显示文摘Background and purpose Approximately 15%–45%of patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms have multiple intracranial aneurysms(MIAs).Determining which one is most likely to rupture is extremely important for treatment decision making for MIAs patients.This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram to evaluate the per-aneurysm rupture risk of MIAs patients.Methods A total of 1671 IAs from 700 patients with MIAs were randomly dichotomised into derivation and validation sets.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to select predictors and construct a nomogram model for aneurysm rupture risk assessment in the derivation set.The discriminative accuracy,calibration performance and clinical usefulness of this nomogram were assessed.We also developed a multivariate model for a subgroup of 158 subarachnoid haemorrhage(SAH)patients and compared its performance with the nomogram model.Results Multivariate analyses identified seven variables that were significantly associated with IA rupture(history of SAH,alcohol consumption,female sex,aspect ratio>1.5,posterior circulation,irregular shape and bifurcation location).The clinical and morphological-based MIAs(CMB-MIAs)nomogram model showed good calibration and discrimination(derivation set:area under the curve(AUC)=0.740 validation set:AUC=0.772).Decision curve analysis demonstrated that the nomogram was clinically useful.Compared with the nomogram model,the AUC of multivariate model developed from SAH patients had lower value of 0.730.Conclusions This CMB-MIAs nomogram for MIAs rupture risk is the first to be developed and validated in a large multi-institutional cohort.This nomogram could be used in decision-making and risk stratification in MIAs patients. | Xin Feng Xin Tong Fei Peng Hao Niu Peng Qi Jun Lu Yang Zhao Weitao Jin Zhongxue Wu Yuanli Zhao Aihua Liu Daming Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3: | 2 |

| 9 | Ultrafine polycrystalline titania nanofibers for superior sodium storage显示文摘Sodium ion batteries have a huge potential for large-scale energy storage for the low cost and abundance of sodium resources. In this work, a novel structure of ultrafine polycrystalline TiO2 nanofibers is prepared on nickel foam/carbon cloth by a simple vapor deposition method. The as-prepared TiO2 nanofibers show excellent performance when used as anodes for sodium-ion batteries. Specifically, the TiO2 nanofibers@nickel foam electrode delivers a high reversible capacity of 263.2 m Ahg^-1 at 0.2 C and maintains a considerable capacity of 144.2 m Ahg^-1 at 10 C. The TiO2 nanofibers@carbon cloth electrode also shows excellent high-rate capability, sustaining a capacity of 148 m Ahg^-1 after 20 0 0 cycles at 10 C. It is believed that the novel nanofibrous structure increases the contact area with the electrolyte and greatly shortens the sodium ion diffusion distance, and meanwhile, the polycrystalline nature of nanofibers exposes more intercalation sites for sodium storage. Furthermore, the density functional theory calculations exhibit strong ionic interactions between the exposed TiO2(101) facets and sodium ions, leading to a preferable sodiation/desodiation process. | 14 | Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C.
