1A direct position determination method with combined TDOA and FDOA based on particle filter显示文摘The localization of a stationary transmitter using moving receivers is considered.The original Direct Position Determination(DPD) methods, with combined Time Difference of Arrival(TDOA) and Frequency Difference of Arrival(FDOA), do not perform well under low Signal-toNoise Ratio(SNR), and worse still, the computation cost is difficult to accept when the computational capabilities are limited.To get better positioning performance, we present a new DPD algorithm that proves to be more computationally efficient and more precise for weak signals than the conventional approach.The algorithm partitions the signal received with the same receiver into multiple non-overlapping short-time signal segments, and then uses the TDOA, the FDOA and the coherency among the short-time signals to locate the target.The fast maximum likelihood estimation, one iterative method based on particle filter, is designed to solve the problem of high computation load.A secondary but important result is a derivation of closed-form expressions of the Cramer-Rao Lower Bound(CRLB).The simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper outperforms the traditional DPD algorithms with more accurate results and higher computational efficiency, and especially at low SNR, it is more close to the CRLB.Zhiyu LU Bin BA Jianhui WANG Wenchao LI Daming WANG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:11
2Large eddy simulation and proper orthogonal decomposition analysis of turbulent flows in a direct injection spark ignition engine:Cyclic variation and effect of valve lift显示文摘Large eddy simulation(LES)is used to calculate the in-cylinder turbulent flow field in a direct injection spark ignition(DISI)engine.The computations are carried out for three different maximum valve lifts(MVL)and throughout 100 consecutive engine cycles.The simulated results as well as corresponding particle image velocimetry(PIV)measurement database are analyzed by the proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)method.Through a new developed POD quadruple decomposition the instantaneous in-cylinder flow fields are decomposed into four parts,named mean field,coherent field,transition field and turbulent field,respectively.Then the in-cylinder turbulent flow characteristics and cycle-to-cycle variations(CCV)are studied separately upon the four part flow fields.Results indicate that each part exhibits its specific characteristics and has close connection with others.The mean part contains more than 50%of the total kinetic energy and the energy cascade phenomenon occurs among the four part fields;the coherent field part possesses the highest CCV level which dominates CCV of the bulk flow.In addition,it is observed that a change in MVL affects significantly the in-cylinder flow behavior including CCV,especially for the coherent part.Furthermore,the POD analysis demonstrates that at least 25 sample cycles for the mean velocity and 50 sample cycles for the RMS velocity are necessary for obtaining converged and correct results in CCV.QIN WenJin XIE MaoZhao JIA Ming WANG TianYou LIU DaMing 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,3:11
3Ferrites boosting photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over graphitic carbon nitride: a case study of(Co, Ni)Fe_2O_4 modification显示文摘The charge carrier separation and surface catalytic redox reactions are of primary importance as elementary steps in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution. In this study, both of these two processes in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_3N_4) were greatly promoted with the earth-abundant ferrites(Co,Ni)Fe_2O_4modification. Co Fe_2O_4 was further demonstrated to be a better modifier for g-C_3N_4 as compared to Ni Fe_2O_4,due to the more efficient charge carrier transfer as well as superior surface oxidative catalytic activity. When together loading Co Fe_2O_4 and reductive hydrogen production electrocatalyst Pt onto g-C_3N_4, the obtained Pt/g-C_3N_4/Co Fe_2O_4 photocatalyst achieved visible-light(λ>420 nm) hydrogen production rate 3.5 times as high as Pt/g-C_3N_4, with the apparent quantum yield reaching 3.35 % at 420 nm.Jie Chen Daming Zhao Zhidan Diao Miao Wang Shaohua Shen 2016Science Bulletin2016,61,4:10
4Water Cooperation Priorities in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin Based on Cooperative Events Since the Mekong River Commission Establishment显示文摘The Lancang-Mekong River has attracted much attention from researchers, but the cooperation on water issues in this river basin has been limited, even after the establishment of the Mekong River Commission(MRC). Cooperation on water resources has been determined as one of the key priority areas in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism, but there are no details of targets. In order to establish the priorities of water cooperation under the mechanism, we adopted nine categories to classify the objectives of 87 water cooperation events based on the ‘Lancang-Mekong Water Cooperative Events Database' from 1995 to 2015. Based on the occurrence of cooperative events, cooperative objectives, cooperative scales, and approaches to cooperation, we conducted statistical, correlation, and text analyses. Our analyses indicated the following results: under the impact of economic conditions inside and outside the river basin, full cooperation appeared more difficult than bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Each of the partners adopted different preferences for cooperation targets. Cooperation with more definite objectives was easier to establish than cooperation with broader and more complex objectives. The potential objectives for water cooperation were navigation, hydropower, joint management, data sharing, flood control and water use. Because hydropower development is controversial, and because water cooperation is avoided by most existing regional cooperation mechanisms due to its complexity, we suggest the following priority areas for water cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin. 1) Navigation and flood control/drought relief are attractive objectives for all the riparian countries across the whole watershed. 2) Data sharing should be a priority for cooperation in the watershed due to its laying the foundation for the equitable and reasonable utilization of transboundary waters. 3) Hydropower is an objective best implemented mainly through bilateral cooperation, and on tributaries.FENG Yan WANG Wenling SUMAN Daniel YU Shiwei HE Daming 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,1:8
5Morphologic characteristics and growth interface stability of nano-micron FeS_2 whiskers显示文摘Micromorphology is further studied on the basis of our previous researches concerned with the nano-micron FeS2 whisker. There are obvious differences in the intensive degree, diameter and micromorphology among the FeS2 whiskers growing in different stages. From the early to late stage, the intensive degree increases, the diameter decreases, and the surface micro-morphology changes following the regularity: protrusive nodulation → coarse → smooth → flat. According to the theory of crystal growth, the geological setting and processes of whisker formation, we discuss the stability and evolution of crystal growth interface of FeS2 whisker occurring in Gengzhuang gold deposit (Shanxi Province, China). The results suggest that the negative temperature gradient and the supercooling appear in the early stage of the whisker growth, whereas the positive temperature gradient of reposeful state appears in the late stage. In the whisker growth stage, the component concentration changes through the three stages: severely nonhomogeneous in the early stage, relatively homogeneous in the middle stage, more homogeneous in the late stage. The general changing process of the interfacial state is from unstable to stable. Micromorphology of FeS2 whisker in Gengzhuang is the result of synergism of temperature, component concentration and stability of crystal interface phase in hydrothermal system. 6Effect of Preparation Process on Compressive Strength and Hydrogenation Performance of Raney-Ni/Al2O3 Catalyst显示文摘In this study, Raney-Ni/Al_2O_3 catalysts were prepared from precursors which were calcined in different atmosphere(argon and air) and leached for different time. XRD, SEM, H_2-TPR and BET techniques were introduced to characterize the catalysts, and hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons, including vinyltoluene, dicyclopentadiene and indene, was used as probe reaction to evaluate the catalytic hydrogenation performance of the catalysts. The results demonstrated that the calcination atmosphere had noticeable effects on the compressive strength and hydrogenation performance of Raney-Ni/Al_2O_3. The catalyst calcined in argon exhibited better compressive strength and catalytic performance than the one calcined in air. The compressive strength and activity stability of catalyst were also determined by the leaching time. A too longer leaching time was not conducive to improving the compressive strength and catalytic performance of catalysts. When the precursor calcined in argon was treated in a 15%(by wt.) sodium hydroxide solution at 343 K for 5 h, a catalyst with higher compressive strength(at 26.10 N/mm) was obtained and the conversion of vinyltoluene, dicyclopentadiene(DCPD), and indene could amount to more than 87.5%, 99% and even 100%, respectively, under the reaction conditions covering a temperature of 493 K, a hydrogen pressure of 2.0 MPa, a LSHV of 3.0 h^(-1), and a hydrogen/oil ratio of 200:1.Luo Guohua Wang Yanli Sun Daming Xu Xin Jin Haibo 2017China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2017,19,2:5
7Feed intake prediction model for group fish using the MEA-BP neural network in intensive aquaculture显示文摘In aquaculture,the accurate prediction of feed intake for group fish is considered to be crucial to any feeding system.Previous studies mainly used mathematical statistics to establish the mapping relationship between feed intake and influencing factors.The result was easily influenced by subjective experience.To solve the above issues,this paper proposed a feed intake prediction model for group fish using the back-propagation neural network(BPNN)and mind evolutionary algorithm(MEA).Firstly,four factors,including water temperature,dissolved oxygen,the average fish weight and the number of fish were selected as the input of the BPNN model.Secondly,the initial weight and threshold of the BPNN were optimized by the MEA to improve the matching precision.Finally,the prediction model was achieved after training.Experimental results showed that the correlation coefficient between the predicted and measured values reached 0.96.And the root mean squared error,mean square error,mean absolute error,mean absolute percent error of the model was 6.89,47.53,6.17 and 0.04,respectively.In addition,the proposed method also had the better nonlinear fitting ability than BPNN and GA-BP.By using an intelligent optimization algorithm,the mapping relationship between fish intake and environmental factors was automatically established,thus avoiding the subjectivity of traditional methods.Therefore,it can lay a theoretical foundation for the development of intelligent feeding equipment and meet the needs of the smart fishery.Lan Chen Xinting Yang Chuanheng Sun Yizhong Wang Daming Xu Chao Zhou 2020Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,2:5
8Sodium tungsten bronze(Na_(x)WO_(3))-doped near-infrared-shielding bulk glasses for energy-saving applications显示文摘Tungsten bronze coatings and films have attracted global attention for their applications in near-infrared(NIR)-shielding windows.However,they are unstable in strong ultraviolet,humid heat,alkaline and/or oxidizing environments and are difficult to be coated on glass surfaces with complex shape.Here,we address these limitations by doping sodium tungsten bronze(Na_(x)WO_(3))into bulk glasses using a simple glass melting method.X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,TEM and SEM-EDS characterization confirmed the presence of sodium tungsten bronze(Na_(x)WO_(3))functional units inside the 34SiO_(2)-38B_(2)O_(3)-28NaF glass matrix.Because the functional units are well protected by the glass matrix,the fabricated glasses are stable under hot,humid,oxidizing conditions,as well as under ambient conditions,with no change after 360 days.The NIR-shielding performance of these glasses can be adjusted to as high as 100%by varying WO_(x)concentration(2-8 mol%)and quenching temperature(1000-1400℃).With a content of 6 mol%WO_(x)and a quenching temperature of 1000℃,the bulk glass shows 63%transmission of visible light and only 11%transmission of NIR light at 1100 nm.Thermal insulation experiments show that the NIR-shielding performance of the glasses are far superior to commercial soda lime window glass or indium-doped tin oxide(ITO)glass,and comparable to cesium tungsten bronze coated glass.The novel bulk glasses have higher stability,simpler processing,and can be easily made into complex shapes,making them excellent alternative materials for energy-saving glasses.Guang Yang Yunhang Qi Daming Hu Haochen Wang Hongfei Chen Liangmiao Zhang Chuanxiang Cao Bin Liu Fang Xia Yanfeng Gao 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,30:3
9IL1RN promotes osteoblastic differentiation via interacting with ITGB3 in osteoporosis显示文摘The occurrence and progress of osteoporosis(OP)are partially caused by impaired osteoblast differentiation.Interleukin-I receptor antagonist(IL1RN)is an immune modulatory molecule that commonly functions by means of competing the binding site of IL-1R with IL-1.Although it was recently reported that IL1RN is involved in osteoblast differentiation,the role of IL1RN in osteogenesis remains unclear.In this work,we first investigated the expression pattern of IL1RN in ovariectomy mice and in vitro osteogenic induction of MC3T3-E1 and C3H10T1/2 cells.To verify the exact role of IL1RN in osteoblast differentiation,we established IL1RN-downregulated/upregulated cell lines.The results indicated that IL1RN was constantly expressed in MC3T3-E1 and C3H10T1/2 cells.Interestingly,an increase of IL1RN expression in osteoblasts occurred when osteoblasts were cultured in osteogenic medium(OM).As expected,silencing of IL1RN attenuated the osteogenic effect of OM,while IL1RN overexpression increased the osteogenic staining and promoted the expression of osteogenic markers,including alkaline phosphatase,osterix,and osteocalcin.In addition to evaluating the function of IL1RN in osteoblasts,we also investigated the molecular mechanism of the role of IL1RN in osteoblasts.We found that IL1RN interacts with integrinβ3 to activateβ-catenin signaling,which finally regulates osteoblast differentiation.Taken together,this study provides the framework that IL1RN,as a novel regulator of osteogenesis,may be a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of OP.Zehua Zou Ruixuan Liu Yiwen Wang Yufei Xing Zuowei Shi Kaifu Wang Daming Dong 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,3:3
10Electron-Deficient Zn-N_(6) Configuration Enabling Polymeric Carbon Nitride for Visible-Light Photocatalytic Overall Water Splitting显示文摘Despite of suitable band structures for harvesting solar light and driving water redox reactions,polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)has suffered from poor charge transfer ability and sluggish surface reaction kinetics,which limit its photocatalytic activity for water splitting.Herein,atomically dispersed Zn-coordinated three-dimensional(3D)sponge-like PCN(Zn-PCN)is synthesized through a novel intermediate coordination strategy.Advanced characterizations and theoretical calculations well evidence that Zn single atoms are coordinated and stabilized on PCN in the form of Zn-N_(6) configura-tion featured with an electron-deficient state.Such an electronic configuration has been demonstrated contributive to promoted electron excitation,accelerated charge separation and transfer as well as reduced water redox barriers.Further benefited from the abundant surface active sites derived from the 3D porous structure,Zn-PCN realizes visible-light photocatalysis for overall water splitting with H_(2) and O_(2) simultaneously evolved at a stoichiometric ratio of 2:1.This work brings new insights into the design of novel single-atom photocatalysts by deepening the understanding of electronic configurations and reactive sites favorable to excellent photocatalysis for water splitting and related solar energy conversion reactions.Daming Zhao Yiqing Wang Chung-Li Dong Fanqi Meng Yu-Cheng Huang Qinghua Zhang Lin Gu Lan Liu Shaohua Shen 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:2
11Direct Growth of Graphene on Silicon by Metal-Free Chemical Vapor Deposition显示文摘The metal-free synthesis of graphene on singlecrystal silicon substrates, the most common commercial semiconductor, is of paramount significance for many technological applications. In this work, we report the growth of graphene directly on an upside-down placed,single-crystal silicon substrate using metal-free, ambientpressure chemical vapor deposition. By controlling the growth temperature, in-plane propagation, edge-propagation, and core-propagation, the process of graphene growth on silicon can be identified. This process produces atomically flat monolayer or bilayer graphene domains, concave bilayer graphene domains, and bulging few-layer graphene domains. 14Development and validation of a novel nomogram to predict aneurysm rupture in patients with multiple intracranial aneurysms:a multicentre retrospective study显示文摘Background and purpose Approximately 15%–45%of patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms have multiple intracranial aneurysms(MIAs).Determining which one is most likely to rupture is extremely important for treatment decision making for MIAs patients.This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram to evaluate the per-aneurysm rupture risk of MIAs patients.Methods A total of 1671 IAs from 700 patients with MIAs were randomly dichotomised into derivation and validation sets.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to select predictors and construct a nomogram model for aneurysm rupture risk assessment in the derivation set.The discriminative accuracy,calibration performance and clinical usefulness of this nomogram were assessed.We also developed a multivariate model for a subgroup of 158 subarachnoid haemorrhage(SAH)patients and compared its performance with the nomogram model.Results Multivariate analyses identified seven variables that were significantly associated with IA rupture(history of SAH,alcohol consumption,female sex,aspect ratio>1.5,posterior circulation,irregular shape and bifurcation location).The clinical and morphological-based MIAs(CMB-MIAs)nomogram model showed good calibration and discrimination(derivation set:area under the curve(AUC)=0.740 validation set:AUC=0.772).Decision curve analysis demonstrated that the nomogram was clinically useful.Compared with the nomogram model,the AUC of multivariate model developed from SAH patients had lower value of 0.730.Conclusions This CMB-MIAs nomogram for MIAs rupture risk is the first to be developed and validated in a large multi-institutional cohort.This nomogram could be used in decision-making and risk stratification in MIAs patients.Xin Feng Xin Tong Fei Peng Hao Niu Peng Qi Jun Lu Yang Zhao Weitao Jin Zhongxue Wu Yuanli Zhao Aihua Liu Daming Wang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3:2

16Quantitative, SEM-based shape analysis of sediment particles in the Yellow River显示文摘The shape of a sediment particle can reveal part of the particle's transportation history and is a significant variable in sediment transport mechanics.Measuring sediment shapes is a difficult and time-consuming task.A whole sample sediment particle shape quantitative analysis method(WSQAM) was applied in this research for sediment statistical analysis.The shape parameter was found using sphericity and roundness descriptors:three samples were collected from the middle reach of the Yellow River at different depths.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) was used to obtain sediment particles images.The sphericity and roundness descriptors were represented by the particle aspect ratio(AR) and the Fourier shape coefficient(FSC).The Fourier series approximation matched the particle outlines.From the statistical results of the whole sediment particle sample,as counted by WSQAM based on digital image processing,fine sediment particles with smooth surfaces accounted for approximately 80%of all of the observed sediment particles.For the majority of sediment particles,AR was greater than 0.3 and FSC was less than 0.1.When AR was greater than 0.5,FSC exponentially decayed with AR.When AR was less than 0.5,the two parameters,AR and FSC,should be combined to describe the sediment particle shape.The combined use of these two parameters can provide a reference for future sediment-related calculations.The sediment particle shape analysis model,programmed in Fortran,was rapid and flexible.It proved efficient to use WSQAM for sediment statistical analysis,and the results were found to be accurate.Daming Li Yangyang Li Zhichao Wang Xiao Wang Yanqing Li 2016International Journal of Sediment Research2016,31,4:2
