| 1 | Service-aware 6G:An intelligent and open network based on the convergence of communication,computing and caching显示文摘With the proliferation of the Internet of Things(IoT),various services are emerging with totally different features and requirements,which cannot be supported by the current fifth generation of mobile cellular networks(5G).The future sixth generation of mobile cellular networks(6G)is expected to have the capability to support new and unknown services with changing requirements.Hence,in addition to enhancing its capability by 10–100 times compared with 5G,6G should also be intelligent and open to adapt to the ever-changing services in the IoT,which requires a convergence of Communication,Computing and Caching(3C).Based on the analysis of the requirements of new services for 6G,this paper identifies key enabling technologies for an intelligent and open 6G network,all featured with 3C convergence.These technologies cover fundamental and emerging topics,including 3C-based spectrum management,radio channel construction,delay-aware transmission,wireless distributed computing,and network self-evolution.From the detailed analysis of these 3C-based technologies presented in this paper,we can see that although they are promising to enable an intelligent and open 6G,more efforts are needed to realize the expected 6G network. | Yiqing Zhou Ling Liu Lu Wang Ning Hui Xinyu Cui Jie Wu Yan Peng Yanli Qi Chengwen Xing | 2020 | Digital Communications and Networks2020,6,3: | 57 |
| 2 | A Genome Sequence of Novel SARS-CoV Isolates: the Genotype, GD-Ins29, Leads to a Hypothesis of Viral Transmission in South China显示文摘We report a complete genomic sequence of rare isolates (minor genotype) of theSARS-CoV from SARS patients in Guangdong, China, where the first few casesemerged. The most striking discovery from the isolate is an extra 29-nucleotidesequence located at the nucleotide positions between 27,863 and 27,864 (referredto the complete sequence of B J01) within an overlapped region composed of BGI-PUP5 (BGI-postulated uncharacterized protein 5) and BGI-PUP6 upstream ofthe N (nucleocapsid) protein. The discovery of this minor genotype, GD-Ins29,suggests a significant genetic event and differentiates it from the previously re-ported genotype, the dominant form among all sequenced SARS-CoV isolates. A17-nt segment of this extra sequence is identical to a segment of the same size intwo human mRNA sequences that may interfere with viral genome replication andtranscription in the cytosol of the infected cells. | 3 | Activation of the bitter taste sensor TRPM5 prevents high saltinduced cardiovascular dysfunction显示文摘High salt intake is a known risk factor of cardiovascular diseases. Our recent study demonstrated that long-term high salt intake impairs transient receptor potential channel M5(TRPM5)-mediated aversion to high salt concentrations, consequently promoting high salt intake and hypertension;however, it remains unknown whether TRPM5 activation ameliorates cardiovascular dysfunction. Herein we found that bitter melon extract(BME) and cucurbitacin E(CuE), a major compound in BME, lowered high salt-induced hypertension. Long-term BME intake significantly enhanced the aversion to high salt concentrations by upregulating TRPM5 expression and function, eventually decreasing excessive salt consumption in mice. Moreover, dietary BME ameliorated high salt-induced cardiovascular dysfunction and angiotensin II-induced hypertension in vivo. The mechanistic evidence demonstrated that dietary BME inhibited high salt-induced RhoA/Rho kinase pathway overactivation, leading to reduced phosphorylation levels of myosin light chain kinase and myosin phosphatase targeting subunit 1. Furthermore, CuE inhibited vasoconstriction by attenuating L-type Ca^(2+) channel-induced Ca^(2+) influx in vascular smooth muscle cells. | 6 | Isolation and characterization of the GbVIP1 gene and response to Verticillium wilt in cotton and tobacco显示文摘Background: Verticillium wilt is a serious soil-borne vascular disease that causes major losses to upland cotton(Gossypium hirutum L.) worldwidely every year. The protein VIP1(VirE2 interaction protein 1), a bZIP transcription factor, is involved in plant response to many stress conditions, especially pathogenic bacteria. However, its roles in cotton response to Verticillium wilt are poorly understood.Results: The GbVIP1 gene was cloned from resistant sea-island cotton(G. barbadense) cv. Hai 7124. Expression of GbVIP1 was up-regulated by inoculation with Verticillium dahliae and exogenous treatment with ethylene. Results of virus-induced gene silencing suggested that silencing of GbVIP1 weakened cotton resistance to Verticillium wilt. The heterologous expression of GbVIP1 in tobacco showed enhanced resistance to Verticillium wilt. The PR1, PR1-like and HSP70 genes were up-regulated in GbVIP1 transgenic tobacco after Verticillium wilt infection.Conclusion: Our results suggested that GbVIP1 increased plant resistance to Verticillium wilt through up-regulating expressions of PR1, PR1-like, and HSP70. | 7 | Complete Genome Sequences of the SARS-CoV: the BJ Group (Isolates BJ01-BJ04)显示文摘Beijing has been one of the epicenters attacked most severely by the SARS-CoV (severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus) since the first patient was diagnosed in one of the city's hospitals. We now report complete genome sequences of the BJ Group, including four isolates (Isolates B J01, B J02, B J03,and B J04) of the SARS-CoV. It is remarkable that all members of the BJ Group share a common haplotype, consisting of seven loci that differentiate the group from other isolates published to date. Among 42 substitutions uniquely identifled from the BJ group, 32 are non-synonymous changes at the amino acid level.Rooted phylogenetic trees, proposed on the basis of haplotypes and other sequence variations of SARS-CoV isolates from Canada, USA, Singapore, and China, gave rise to different paradigms but positioned the BJ Group, together with the newly discovered GD01 (GD-Ins29) in the same clade, followed by the H-U Group (from Hong Kong to USA) and the H-T Group (from Hong Kong to Toronto), leaving the SP Group (Singapore) more distant. | 15 | Clinical and pathological features in 49 elderly patients with meningiomas显示文摘BACKGROUND: As aging in elderly people, their brain tissue has degeneration and brain atrophy of different severity, and the volume of cranial cavity is relatively enlarged, it has greater compensatory ability to the space occupying lesion, and it is difficult to detect the meningioma because it grows to expand slowly, the tumor locates in non-functional region, and there are atypical symptoms and deficiency of localization signs. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinicopathologic features of senile meningiomas. DESIGN: A retrospective analysis. SETTING: Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University. PARTICIPANTS: Forty-nine elderly patients with meningioma were selected from the Department of Neurosurgery, Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from May 1999 to March 2005, including 15 males and 34 females, 60-74 years of age, and they were all diagnosed by CT and MRI. METHODS: The sites of tumors were identified by CT and MRI examinations in all the patients. The tumors were partially or totally resected according to their own conditions. The types of the resected tumor were pathologically observed. The conditions of postoperative recovery were observed after 1, 3 and 6 months, and without new neurological dysfunction or complication was considered as good outcome. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Sites and pathological types of the tumor; ② Postoperative outcomes and complications. RESULTS: All the 49 patients were involved in the analysis of results. ① The tumors had wide distributions with a main location in brain convexity. Among the 49 cases of meningioma, there were 25 cases of fibrocystic type, 12 cases of meningothelial type, 6 cases of psammomatous type, 4 cases of angiomatous type and 2 cases of microcystic type. ② Among the 49 patients, 35 had good outcome, 8 had self-care ability, 4 required care by others, 2 (4.1%) died postoperatively. No long-term complication related to the operation was observed during the follow-up postoperatively.
