3Kuroshio intrusion into the South China Sea with an anticyclonic eddy: evidence from underwater glider observation显示文摘In this study, high-resolution temperature and salinity data obtained from three Sea-Wing underwater gliders were used together with satellite altimeter data to track the vertical thermohaline structure of an anticyclonic eddy that originated from the loop current of the Kuroshio southwest of Taiwan, China. One of the gliders crossed the entire eddy and it observed a remarkable warm anomaly of as much as 3.9℃ extending to 500 dbar from the base of the mixed layer. Conversely, a positive salinity anomaly was found to be above 200 dbar only in the anticyclonic eddy, with a maximum value of >0.5 in the mixed layer. Below the mixed layer, water of higher salinity (>34.7) was found, which could have been preserved through constrained vertical mixing within the anticyclonic eddy. 10Advanced polymer-based electrolytes in zinc-air batteries显示文摘Zinc–air batteries(ZABs)are expected to be some of the most promising power sources for wearable and portable electronic devices and have received widespread research interest.As an ion conductor connecting anodes and cathodes,the electrolyte is critical for the overall performance of ZABs(e.g.,energy density,rechargeability,and operating voltage).Compared with liquid electrolytes,polymer-based electrolytes have superior characteristics for ZABs,such as negligible electrolyte leakage,three-phase interface stabilization,and dendrite suppression.In this perspective,we focus on recent progress in polymer-based electrolytes for ZABs.After a brief introduction to ZABs and electrolytes,we emphasize the development of polymer-based electrolytes in terms of their intrinsic properties and interfacial chemistry.Finally,challenges and viable strategies are proposed for polymer-based electrolytes in ZABs.We hope that this work will provide useful guidance to spur the development of high-performance ZABs based on advanced polymer-based electrolytes.Qingqing Liu Ruiting Liu Chaohui He Chenfeng Xia Wei Guo Zheng-Long Xu Bao Yu Xia 2022eScience2022,2,5:1

133D Printing of NiCoP/Ti3C2 MXene Architectures for Energy Storage Devices with High Areal and Volumetric Energy Density显示文摘Designing high-performance electrodes via 3D printing for advanced energy storage is appealing but remains challenging.In normal cases,light-weight carbonaceous materials harnessing excellent electrical conductivity have served as electrode candidates.However,they struggle with undermined areal and volumetric energy density of supercapacitor devices,thereby greatly impeding the practical applications.Herein,we demonstrate the in situ coupling of NiCoP bimetallic phosphide and Ti3C2 MXene to build up heavy NCPM electrodes affording tunable mass loading throughout 3D printing technology.The resolution of prints reaches 50μm and the thickness of device electrodes is ca.4 mm.Thus-printed electrode possessing robust open framework synergizes favorable capacitance of NiCoP and excellent conductivity of MXene,readily achieving a high areal and volumetric capacitance of 20 F cm^-2 and 137 F cm^-3 even at a high mass loading of^46.3 mg cm^-2.Accordingly,an asymmetric supercapacitor full cell assembled with 3D-printed NCPM as a positive electrode and 3D-printed activated carbon as a negative electrode harvests remarkable areal and volumetric energy density of 0.89 mWh cm^-2 and 2.2 mWh cm^-3,outperforming the most of state-of-the-art carbon-based supercapacitors.The present work is anticipated to offer a viable solution toward the customized construction of multifunctional architectures via 3D printing for high-energy-density energy storage systems.Lianghao Yu Weiping Li Chaohui Wei Qifeng Yang Yuanlong Shao Jingyu Sun 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10:1

15Study on Active Faults and Seismogenic Structure for the 1989 Batang M6.2~6.7 Earthquake Swarm in the Litang-Batang Region of West Sichuan,China显示文摘Fault structures in the Litang-Batang region of West Sichuan are mainly sub-longitudinal and a set of NNE- and NW-trending conjugate shear fracture zones is developed. In this paper, emphasis is put on explaining the movement patterns along the fault structures in the region since the late Pleistocene-Holocene on the basis of detailed interpretation of TM satellite images and aero-photos in geomorphologic aspect of active structures. The sub-latitudinal shortening rate along the sub-longitudinal Jinshajiang fault zone is determined to be 2~3mm/a since the late Quaternary, the horizontal dextral slip movement rate along the NNE-trending Batang fault is 1.3~2.7mm/a on average, and the horizontal sinistral slip movement rate along the NW-trending Litang fault is 2.6~4.4 mm/a on average. The general status of the recent crustal movement in the region and the regularities of block motion caused by it are analyzed in combination with data of geophysical fields, focal mechanism solutions and GPS measurements. The occurrence of the 1989 Batang M6.2~6.7 earthquake swarm is suggested to be the result of tensional rupture along the sub-latitudinal normal fault derived from the conjugate shearing along the NNE-trending Batang and the NW-trending Litang faults. 16Single-atom electrocatalysts for lithium-sulfur chemistry:Design principle,mechanism,and outlook显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have been regarded as one of the promising candidates for the next-generation“lithium-ion battery beyond”owing to their high energy density and due to the low cost of sulfur.However,the main obstacles encountered in the commercial implementation of LSBs are the notorious shuttle effect,retarded sulfur redox kinetics,and uncontrolled dendrite growth.Accordingly,single-atom catalysts(SACs),which have ultrahigh catalytic efficiency,tunable coordination configuration,and light weight,have shown huge potential in the field of LSBs to date.This review summarizes the recent research progress of SACs applied as multifunctional components in LSBs.The design principles and typical synthetic strategies of SACs toward effective Li–S chemistry as well as the working mechanism promoting sulfur conversion reactions,inhibiting the lithium polysulfide shuttle effect,and regulating Li+nucleation are comprehensively illustrated.Potential future directions in terms of research on SACs for the realization of commercially viable LSBs are also outlined.Yingze Song Luwei Zou Chaohui Wei Yu Zhou Yue Hu 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,4:1
17Effects of outer rim of rotors on performance of turbodrills显示文摘Two turbine rotors with outer rim and without outer rim were designed to analyze the influence of outer rim of rotors on the performance of a turbodrill. Two 3D models of the turbine rotor with different structures were established by SolidWorks software. The numerical simulation analysis of the turbine with different rotor structures was carried out based on software of fluent and then the performance of them at different rotating speeds was obtained. The results show that the torque,pressure drop and hydraulic efficiency of the turbine rotor with outer rim are greater than that of the turbine rotor without outer rim. By comparing the turbine rotor with outer rim and without outer rim,its torque increases 20. 1%,pressure drop increases 8.7% and hydraulic efficiency increases 10.4% at the maximum efficiency point. 18Using endogenous glycogen as relaxation agent for imaging liver metabolism by MRI显示文摘Glycogen plays essential roles in glucose metabolism.Imaging glycogen in the liver,the major glycogen reservoir in the body,may shed new light on many metabolic disorders.^(13)C magnetic resonance spectroscopy(MRS)has become the mainstream method for monitoring glycogen in the body.However,the equipment of special hard-ware to standard clinical magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scanners limits its clinical applications.Herein,we utilized endogenous glycogen as a T_(2)-based relaxation contrast agent for imaging glycogen metabolism in the liver in vivo.The in vitro results demonstrated that the transverse relaxation rate of glycogen strongly correlates with the concentration,pH,and field strength.Based on the Swift-Connick theory,we characterized the exchange property of glycogen and measured the exchange rate of glycogen as 31,847 Hz at 37°C.Besides,the viscosity and echo spacing showed no apparent effect on the transverse relaxation rate.This unique feature enables vi-sualization of glycogen signaling in vivo through T_(2)-weighted MRI.Two hours-post intraperitoneal injection of glucagon,a clinical drug to promote glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis,the signal intensity of the mice’s liver increased by 1.8 times from the T_(2)-weighted imaging experiment due to the decomposition of glycogen.This study provides a convenient imaging strategy to non-invasively investigate glycogen metabolism in the liver,which may find clinical applications in metabolic diseases.Shizhen Chen Mou Jiang Yaping Yuan Baolong Wang Yu Li Lei Zhang Zhong-Xing Jiang Chaohui Ye Xin Zhou 2023Fundamental Research2023,3,4:0

20The effect of cholecystectomy on the risk of colorectal cancer:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:Some studies have found that cholecystectomy may increase the risk of colorectal cancer(CRC),while others have reached inconsistent conclusions.We thus performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the incidence rate of CRC after cholecystectomy for patients with gallstones or gallbladder diseases,and whether the geographical location of the patients affected the results.Methods:We systematically searched PubMed,Embase,and Cochrane for studies reporting changes in the incidence rate of CRC after cholecystectomy published before January 12,2023.Our main endpoint wasthe occurrence of CRC Data were extracted and pooled,and the relative risk(RR)and 95%confidence interval(CI)were calculated.We assessed pooled data using a random-effects model.Results:In total,477 articles were identifled,and 6 articles were eligible,including 7 studies thatincluded 797,917 participants.Overall,the summarized research results showed that the risk of CRC was reduced in patients with gallbladder diseases who underwent cholecystectomy(RR:0.80,95%C:0.65 to0.99,p=0.040;I^(2)=85.0%).In the subgroup analysis based on different geographical locations,chole-cystectomy was not associated with the nisk of CRC in the Western population(RR:0.90,95%C:0.65 to 1.25.p=0.522;I^(2)=86.5%),but there was a negative corelation between cholecystectomy and the risk of CRC(RR:0,66,95%Cl:0.60 to 0,73,p=0.000)in the Chinese population Conclusions:Our findings support that for patients with gallstones or gallbladder diseases,the incidence of CRC after cholecystectomy is lower than that of patients who do not undergo cholecystectomy.Zhuoneng Chen Chaohui Yu Zheyong Li 2023Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery2023,6,4:0
