| 6 | Nano-sized Ag rather than single-atom Ag determines CO oxidation activity and stability显示文摘Single-atom catalysis recently attracts great attentions,however,whether single atom or their nanoparticle(NP)has the advantage in its intrinsic activity remains under heated debate.Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) is a widely used catalyst for many catalytic reactions,while the effect of Ag particle size on the actity is seldom investigated due to the great difficulty in synthesizing single atom Ag and Ag clusters/particles with different sizes.Herein,we firstly prepared an atomically dispersed Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) catalyst using a nano-sized y-Al_(2)O_(3) as the support,subsequently obtained a series of Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) catalysts with different Ag particle sizes by H_(2) reducing single-atom Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) catalyst at various temperatures.The Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) treated at 600℃demonstrated superior CO oxidation performance over single-atom Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) and the Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) treated at 400 and 800℃.Based on experimental data and dpnsity functional theory(DFT)calculation results,we reveal that the larger Ag°particle is beneficial to oxygen activation and improves the valence stability during oxidation reaction,while the aggregation of Ag°particle also accordingly decreases the concentration of surface active sites,hence,there is an optimum Ag0 particle size.Our findings clearly confirm that Ag0nanoparticle has the advantage over single-atom Ag species in its intrinsic activity for CO oxidation. | Fei Wang Zhao Li Honghong Wang Min Chen Changbin Zhang Ping Ning Hong He | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 1 |

| 10 | Genetic dissection of top three leaf traits in rice using progenies from a japonica × indica cross显示文摘The size of the top three leaves of rice plants is strongly associated with yield; thus, it is important to consider quantitative traits representing leaf size(e.g.,length and width) when breeding novel rice varieties.It is challenging to measure such traits on a large scale in the field, and little is known about the genetic factors that determine the size of the top three leaves. In the present study, a population of recombinant inbred lines(RILs) and reciprocal single chromosomal segment substitution lines(SSSLs) derived from the progeny of a japonica Asominori ? indica IR24 cross were grown under four diverse environmental conditions. Six morphological traits associated with leaf size were measured,namely length and width of the flag, second and third leaves. In the RIL population, 49 QTLs were identified that clustered in 30 genomic region. Twenty-three of these QTLs were confirmed in the SSSL population. A comparison with previously reported genes/QTLs revealed eight novel genomic regions that contained uncharacterized ORFs associated with leaf size. | 14 | Spatiotemporal variations in surface albedo during the ablation season and linkages with the annual mass balance on Muz Taw Glacier,Altai Mountains显示文摘Melt-albedo feedback on glaciers is recognized as important processes for understanding glacier behavior and its sensitivity to climate change.This study selected the Muz Taw Glacier in the Altai Mountains to investigate the spatiotemporal variations in albedo and their linkages with mass balance,which will improve our knowledge of the recent acceleration of regional glacier shrinkage.Based on the Landsat-derived albedo,the spatial distribution of ablation-period albedo was characterized by a general increase with elevation,and significant east–west differences at the same elevation.The gap-filling MODIS values captured a nonsignificant negative trend of mean ablation-period albedo since 2000,with a total decrease of approximately 4.2%.From May to September,glacier-wide albedo exhibited pronounced V-shaped seasonal variability.A significant decrease in annual minimum albedo was found from 2000 to 2021,with the rate of approximately−0.30%yr−1 at the 99%confidence level.The bivariate relationship demonstrated that the change of ablation-period albedo explained 82%of the annual mass-balance variability.We applied the albedo method to estimate annual mass balance over the period 2000–2015.Combined with observed values,the average mass balance was−0.82±0.32 m w.e.yr−1 between 2000 and 2020,with accelerated mass loss. | Xiaoying Yue Zhongqin Li Feiteng Wang Jun Zhao Huilin Li Changbin Bai | 2022 | International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1: | 0 |

| 17 | Retrospective case-analysis of the magnetic resonance imaging characteristics in the brain of patients with Wilson disease显示文摘BACKGROUND: Wilson disease (WD) damages liver, brain, kidney, cornea and nervous system severely. It is manifested in four ways: brain, liver, kidney and bone muscle. Whether or not magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can clearly display the diseased region and range in brain of patient with WD, which provides imageological evidence for clinical practice, is unclear. OBJECTIVE: To observe the characteristics of MRI of brain in patient with SD, and analyze the correlation of diseased region with clinical symptoms. DESIGN: Retrospective case-analysis. SETTING: Department of Radiology, Second Hospital Affiliated to the General Hospital of Chinese PLA. PARTICIPANTS: Thirty-one patients, including 18 males and 13 females, with WD admitted to the Department of Neurology, Second Hospital Affiliated to the General Hospital of Chinese PLA between January 1999 and December 2005 were retrieved. The involved patients presented serum copper oxidase(sCP) activity decreasing and/or ceruloplasmin level decreasing and /or urinary copper content increasing; typical extrapyramidal symptoms and/or physical sign; abnormality showed by slit-lamp examination, Kayser-Fleischer ring positive. METHODS: ① All the involved patients underwent MRI examination. A GE 1.5T imaging equipment was used. Spin-echo sequence was adopted to perform T2 and T1 -weighed image at transverse axis level. Partial cases subjected to head scanning at coronal and/or sagittal level. Gd-DTPA with dosage of 0.1 mmol/kg was the strongest in 4 cases. ② MRI characteristics of patients with different clinical symptoms were observed. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: MRI detection results of patients with WD and MRI characteristics of patients with different clinical symptoms. RESULTS: Thirty-one patients with WD participated in the result analysis. ① Imageological examination results: WD involved many regions in the brain: dorsal caudate putamen (n =28), thalamencephalon(n =25), mesencephalon (n =25), globus pallidus (n =23), pons(n =21), posterior limb of internal capsule (n =16), dentate nucleus(n =16), caudate nucleus(n =15) and cerebral cortex (n =11). MRI presented hypo-intensity signal on T2 - weighted image and T1 -weighted image or isointensity signal on T1 -weighted image in 24 patients, characteristic hypo-intensity signal of globus pallidus in 4 patients, mixed signal of hyper- and hypo-intensity in 2 patients, hypo-intensity signal of globus pallidus, pars anterior pedunculi cerebri and pontine tegmentum on T1 - weighted image in 1 patient. Pathological changes distributed in symmetry and focus of infection mostly presented mottling, lamellar or strip. Different degrees of cerebral cortex atrophy, especially subtentorial cerebellar atrophy, were found in 20 patients. Four patients subjected to enhancement scanning, but no clear imaging was found. ③MRI characteristics of patients with different symptoms: Abnormal signal of dorsal caudate putamen was found in 28 patients with dystonia, 21 patients with dysarthria and 16 patients with bradykinesia; Abnormal signal of mesencephalon was found in 22 patients with trepidation, among which, 18 presented abnormal signal of pons; Abnormal signal of caudate nucleus and lenticular nucleus was found in 15 patients with dysphagia; Abnormal signal of dentate nucleus was found in 16 patients with cerebellar ataxia; Different degrees of changes in cerebral atrophy were found in 14 patients with deteriorating memory and dementia. CONCLUSION: MRI can clearly display the characteristics of diseased regions in brain of patient with WD. | 18 | Hysteresis-Free, High-Performance Polymer-Dielectric Organic Field-Effect Transistors Enabled by Supercritical Fluid显示文摘Organic field-effect transistors(OFETs)are of the core units in organic electronic circuits,and the performance of OFETs replies critically on the properties of their dielectric layers.Owing to the intrinsic flexibility and natural compatibility with other organic components,organic polymers,such as poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA),have emerged as highly interesting dielectric materials for OFETs.However,unsatisfactory issues,such as hysteresis,high subthreshold swing,and low effective carrier mobility,still considerably limit the practical applications of the polymer-dielectric OFETs for high-speed,low-voltage flexible organic circuits.This work develops a new approach of using supercritical CO_(2) fluid(SCCO_(2))treatment on PVA dielectrics to achieve remarkably high-performance polymer-dielectric OFETs.The SCCO_(2) treatment is able to completely eliminate the hysteresis in the transfer characteristics of OFETs,and it can also significantly reduce the device subthreshold slope to 0._(2)5 V/dec and enhance the saturation regime carrier mobility to 30.2 cm^(2) V^(-1) s^(-1),of which both the numbers are remarkable for flexible polymer-dielectric OFETs.It is further demonstrated that,coupling with an organic light-emitting diode(OLED),the SCCO_(2)-treated OFET is able to function very well under fast switching speed,which indicates that an excellent switching behavior of polymer-dielectric OFETs can be enabled by this SCCO_(2) approach.Considering the broad and essential applications of OFETs,we envision that this SCCO_(2) technology will have a very broad spectrum of applications for organic electronics,especially for high refresh rate and low-voltage flexible display devices. | Yuhao Shi Yingkai Zheng Jialiang Wang Ran Zhao Tao Wang Changbin Zhao Kuan-Chang Chang Hong Meng Xinwei Wang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 0 |
| 19 | Isothianaphthene diimide: an air-stable n-type semiconductor显示文摘Herein,we propose a new strategy to develop air-stable n-type organic semiconductors with non-classical thiophene aromatic diimide derivatives by replacing aromatic naphthalene with a heteroaromatic isothianaphthene core.We designed and successfully synthesized the isothianaphthene core based diimide material,N,N′-bis(n-hexyl)isothianaphthene-2,3,6,7-tetracarboxylic acid diimide(BTDI-C6)as an n-type semiconductor.Compared to N,N′-bis(n-hexyl)naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylic acid diimide(NDI-C6),BTDI-C6 possesses a deeper LUMO energy level of-4.21 eV,which is 0.32 eV lower than that of NDI-C6.Both molecular modelling and experimental results elucidated that organic thin film transistors(OTFTs)based on both of these materials exhibit comparable mobilities;however,the threshold voltage of BTDI-C6 based device(+7.5 V)is significantly lower than that of NDI-C6 based counterpart(+34V).Moreover,the low-lying LUMO energy level of BTDI-C6 ensures excellent air-stability which is further validated by the device performance.In addition,BTDI-C6 shows high luminescence while NDI-C6 is not luminescent at all in solution,which reveals the potential application of our newly synthesized material in n-type light-emitting transistors. | Xiaolong Chen Yaowu He Muhammad Umair Ali Yu He Yanan Zhu Aiyuan Li Changbin Zhao Igor FPerepichka Hong Meng | 2019 | Science China Chemistry2019,62,10: | 0 |
| 20 | High expression of BCL6 inhibits the differentiation and development of hematopoietic stem cells and affects the growth and development of chickens显示文摘Background:B-cell CLL/lymphoma 6(BCL6)is a transcriptional master regulator that represses more than 1200 potential target genes.Our previous study showed that a decline in blood production in runting and stunting syndrome(RSS)affected sex-linked dwarf(SLD)chickens compared to SLD chickens.However,the association between BCL6 gene and hematopoietic function remains unknown in chickens.Methods:In this study,we used RSS affected SLD(RSS-SLD)chickens,SLD chickens and normal chickens as research object and overexpression of BCL6 in hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs),to investigate the effect of the BCL6 on differentiation and development of HSCs.Results:The results showed that comparison of RSS-SLD chickens with SLD chickens,the BCL6 was highly expressed in RSS-SLD chickens bone marrow.The bone marrow of RSS-SLD chickens was exhausted and red bone marrow was largely replaced by yellow bone marrow,bone density was reduced,and the levels of immature erythrocytes in peripheral blood were increased.At the same time,the hematopoietic function of HSCs decreased in RSS-SLD chickens,which was manifested by a decrease in the hematopoietic growth factors(HGFs)EPO,SCF,TPO,and IL-3,as well as hemoglobinα1 and hemoglobinβexpression.Moreover,mitochondrial function in the HSCs of RSS-SLD chickens was damaged,including an increase in ROS production,decrease in ATP concentration,and decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential(ΔΨm).The same results were also observed in SLD chickens compared with normal chickens;however,the symptoms were more serious in RSS-SLD chickens.Additionally,after overexpression of the BCL6 in primary HSCs,the secretion of HGFs(EPO,SCF,TPO and IL-3)was inhibited and the expression of hemoglobinα1 and hemoglobinβwas decreased.However,cell proliferation was accelerated,apoptosis was inhibited,and the HSCs entered a cancerous state.The function of mitochondria was also abnormal,ROS production was decreased,and ATP concentration andΔΨm were increased,which was related to the inhibition of apoptosis of stem cells.Conclusions:Taken together,we conclude that the high expression of BCL6 inhibits the differentiation and development of HSCs by affecting mitochondrial function,resulting in impaired growth and development of chickens.Moreover,the abnormal expression of BCL6 might be a cause of the clinical manifestations of chicken comb,pale skin,stunted growth and development,and the tendency to appear RSS in SLD chickens. | Hongmei Li Bowen Hu Shang Hu Wen Luo Donglei Sun Minmin Yang Zhiying Liao Haohui Wei Changbin Zhao Dajian Li Meiqing Shi Qingbin Luo Dexiang Zhang Qinghua Nie Xiquan Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,3: | 0 |
