1Management of cytokine release syndrome related to CAR-T cell therapy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy is a novel cellular immunotherapy that is widely used to treat hematological malignancies, including acute leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Despite its remarkable clinical effects, this therapy has side effects that cannot be underestimated. Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is one of the most clinically important and potentially life-threatening toxicities. This syndrome is a systemic immune storm that involves the mass cytokines releasing by activated immune cells. This phenomenon causes multisystem damages and sometimes even death. In this study, we reported the management of a patient with recurrent and refractory multiple myeloma and three patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia who suffered CRS during CAR-T treatment. The early application of tocilizumab, an anti-IL-6 receptor antibody, according to toxicity grading and clinical manifestation is recommended especially for patients who suffer continuous hyperpyrexia, hypotensive shock, acute respiratory failure, and whose CRS toxicities deteriorated rapidly. Moreover, low doses of dexamethasone (5-10 mg/day) were used for refractory CRS not responding to tocilizumab. 2Buyang Huanwu Decoction regulates neural stem cell behavior in ischemic brain显示文摘The traditional Chinese medicine Buyang Huanwu Decoction has been shown to improve the neurological function of patients with stroke.However,the precise mechanisms underlying its effect remain poorly understood.In this study,we established a rat model of cerebral ischemia by middle cerebral artery occlusion and intragastrically administered 5 g/kg Buyang Huanwu Decoction,once per day,for 1,7,14 and 28 days after cerebral ischemia.Immunohistochemical staining revealed a number of cells positive for the neural stem cell marker nestin in the cerebral cortex,the subventricular zone and the ipsilateral hippocampal dentate gyrus in rat models of cerebra ischemia.Buyang Huanwu Decoction significantly increased the number of cells positive for5-bromodeoxyuridine(BrdU),a cell proliferation-related marker,microtubule-associated protein-2,a marker of neuronal differentiation,and growth-associated protein 43,a marker of synaptic plasticity in the ischemic rat cerebral regions.The number of positive cells peaked at 14 and 28 days after intragastric administration of Buyang Huanwu Decoction.These findings suggest that Buyang Huanwu Decoction can promote the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells and enhance synaptic plasticity in ischemic rat brain tissue.Baiyan Liu Guangxian Cai Jian Yi Xuemei Chen 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,25:17
3Buyang Huanwu decoction increases vascular endothelial growth factor expression and promotes angiogenesis in a rat model of local cerebral ischemia显示文摘Angiogenesis in the infarct periphery can improve blood flow.Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) has been considered a potential therapeutic target for stroke.Buyang Huanwu decoction(BYHWD) is a classic traditional formula in traditional Chinese medicine and is used to treat stroke;in addition,the promotion effects on VEGF protein expression have been confirmed.However,little is known about how BYHWD regulates angiogenesis,or about the effects of BYHWD on VEGF mRNA expression.For this reason,the present study measured microvessel density in rats with cerebral ischemia using immunohistochemistry.In addition,VEGF expression was measured by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to de-termine the effects of BYHWD on angiogenesis and VEGF expression in rats with cerebral ischemia.Results demonstrated that microvessel density,as well as VEGF mRNA and protein expression,increased after 7 and 14 days of BYHWD treatment,which suggests that BYHWD promoted an-giogenesis following cerebral ischemia and upregulated VEGF mRNA and protein expression in ischemic cerebral regions.Guangxian Cai Baiyan Liu 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,22:10
4Recent Advances on Metal-Organic Frameworks in the Conversion of Carbon Dioxide显示文摘With the development of modern industry,global warming is becoming a challenging issue due to the emissions of large quantities of greenhouse gases,mainly carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).The conversion of CO_(2)to useful compounds is considered as an effective and economic way to solve such a climate problem.Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are an emerging class of porous crystalline materials that have shown great potential in the conversion of CO_(2).The advantages of MOFs in CO 2 conversion lie in their high surface areas,adjustable pore size,and high porosity.More importantly,desirable functional sites can be easily designed and precisely installed to the pore wall of target MOFs by pre-assembly and/or post-synthetic modification(PSM)ways.This review summarizes the recent advances in constructing MOF catalysts for the application in CO_(2)conversion.We believe that the design and synthesis of MOF catalysts for CO_(2)conversion can be a promising way to solve the“greenhouse effect”.Xiongli Liu Jinli Li Na Li Baiyan Li Xian-He Bu 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,2:6

6Ocean primary productivity estimation of China Sea by remote sensing显示文摘Ocean primary productivity is a key parameter in the research of global carbon cycle, ocean biological resources, and in evaluation of the feature and quality of ocean biological environment. Traditional shipboard measurement which is costly and time-consuming is impossible to obtain the spatial and temporal information on primary productivity on a large scale in a short period of time. Satellite remote sensing is an effective strategy to acquire the ocean information in near real time. Here we propose a model special for China Sea based on the concept of primary productivity using in situ primary productivity and environmental data from 1984 to 1990, and discuss every modeling parameter which can be retrieved by remote sensing in detail. The reliability of this model is tested by in situ data, and the comparison of other primary productivity models is made. We also analyze the temporal and spatial distribution of China Sea primary productivity in 2000. 7Active sites engineering of Pt/CNT oxygen reduction catalysts by atomic layer deposition显示文摘Understanding carbon-supported Pt-catalyzed oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)from the perspective of the active sites is of fundamental and practical importance.In this study,three differently sized carbon nanotube-supported Pt nanoparticles(Pt/CNT)are prepared by both atomic layer deposition(ALD)and impregnation methods.The performances of the catalysts toward the ORR in acidic media are comparatively studied to probe the effects of the sizes of the Pt nanoparticles together with their distributions,electronic properties,and local environments.The ALD-Pt/CNT catalysts show much higher ORR activity and selectivity than the impregnation-Pt/CNT catalysts.This outstanding ORR performance is ascribed to the well-controlled Pt particle sizes and distributions,desirable Pt^04f binding energy,and the Cl-free Pt surfaces based on the electrocatalytic measurements,catalyst characterizations,and model calculations.The insights reported here could guide the rational design and fine-tuning of carbon-supported Pt catalysts for the ORR.Jie Gan Jiankang Zhang Baiyan Zhang Wenyao Chen Dongfang Niu Yong Qin Xuezhi Duan Xinggui Zhou 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,6:5
8Accumulation Conditions of Organic Matter during the Deposition of Black Shales of the Buxin Formation (Early Paleogene) in the Sanshui Basin, South China显示文摘Analyses of organic carbon, nitrogen, sulfur and iron have been performed in order to understand sources and preservation of organic matter in black shale of the Buxin Formation (Early Paleogene) from the Sanshui Basin. The C/N ratios show that the organic matter is characterized by a mixture of terrestrial and phytoplanktonic contributions. The relative importance of different sources depend on climate conditions and most of organic matter is of terrestrial origin.The relationships between C, S and Fe indicate that the brackish environment with alternation of anoxia and low-O2 developed in the bottom waters during the deposition of these organic-rich sediments as a result of a mixed setting of thermal stratification and salinity stratification, the latter being the consequence of intermittent sea water incursion.Bacterial sulfate reduction is the most effective early diagenesis affecting the preservation of organic matter. 9Novel approach to and implementation of design and analysis of armored face conveyor power train显示文摘An armored face conveyor(AFC) is a key piece of equipment for a fully mechanized long-wall mining system and is currently the only means for transporting bulk material in hard coal mines. To date, the AFC power train design has mainly been based on heuristics obtained via experience, coupled with simple calculations, which cannot take the dynamic behaviors and coupling effects of the components into consideration. Therefore, model-based and simulation-driven design is preferred. In this paper, a new design and analysis methodology for an AFC power train is presented to achieve the optimal dynamic characteristics and transmission performance. A preliminary design procedure for a power train is first introduced. Then, a system-level hydro-mechatronic model of the power train is built to evaluate and optimize the preliminary scheme. Sub-models, including those for the motors, fluid couplers, gearboxes, and chain, are obtained according to their individual disciplines and assembled to form the system-level model. The chain sub-system is discretized into multiple finite elements. Governing equations are established for each element based on the Newton Euler approach and assembled according to the topological structure of the chain system. In order to make the new approach applicable for engineers, a design and analysis software is developed, with a graphical user interface that involves the whole design process. MATLAB/SIMULINK is used as the computational engine, and Visual C++ is adopted to develop the interactive software framework. 10Recent Progress in Metal-Organic Frameworks@Cellulose Hybrids and Their Applications显示文摘In recent years,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are attracting increasing attention due to their charming properties.However,the intrinsic fragility,powdered crystalline state,and poor processibility of MOFs hinder their further application.By this,the designs of MOF-based aerogels,hydrogels,membranes are effective ways to solve this problem.Graphene,silica,synthetic polymer and cellulose are the commonly used raw materials for fabricating MOF-based aerogels,hydrogels,and membranes.Among them,cellulose and its derivatives are the best candidates to support the powdered MOFs from the perspectives of economy,environmental protection and property.This review focuses on discussing the advantages of MOF@cellulose hybrids in applications such as water treatment,antibacterial,gas separation and adsorption,energy storage,drug delivery,catalysis,and other smart composites.MOF@cellulose-based aerogels,hydrogels and membranes can provide valuable guidance for investigating the practical application of MOFs in terms of processability,reusability,stability and easiness in handling.Xiongli Liu Yun Xiao Zhiyuan Zhang Zifeng You Jinli Li Dingxuan Ma Baiyan Li 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,12:2
