2ETCM v2.0:An update with comprehensive resource and rich annotations for traditional Chinese medicine显示文摘Existing traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)-related databases are still insufficient in data standardization,integrity and precision,and need to be updated urgently.Herein,an Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicine version 2.0(ETCM v2.0,http://gffzz3ff3e9d9e9f64aa3houoq9fbbuvxk6b09.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/ETCM2/front/#/)was constructed as the latest curated database hosting 48,442 TCM formulas recorded by ancient Chinese medical books,9872 Chinese patent drugs,2079 Chinese medicinal materials and 38,298 ingredients.To facilitate the mechanistic research and new drug discovery,we improved the target identification method based on a two-dimensional ligand similarity search module,which provides the confirmed and/or potential targets of each ingredient,as well as their binding activities.Importantly,five TCM formulas/Chinese patent drugs/herbs/ingredients with the highest Jaccard similarity scores to the submitted drugs are offered in ETCM v2.0,which may be of significance to identify prescriptions/herbs/ingredients with similar clinical efficacy,to summarize the rules of prescription use,and to find alternative drugs for endangered Chinese medicinal materials.Moreover,ETCM v2.0 provides an enhanced Java Script-based network visualization tool for creating,modifying and exploring multi-scale biological networks.ETCM v2.0 may be a major data warehouse for the quality marker identification of TCMs,the TCM-derived drug discovery and repurposing,and the pharmacological mechanism investigation of TCMs against various human diseases.Yanqiong Zhang Xin Li Yulong Shi Tong Chen Zhijian Xu Ping Wang Meng Yu Wenjia Chen Bing Li Zhiwei Jing Hong Jiang Lu Fu Wenjing Gao Yanhua Jiang Xia Du Zipeng Gong Weiliang Zhu Hongjun Yang Haiyu Xu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,6:3
3Ultrathin wavy Rh nanowires as highly effective electrocatalysts for methanol oxidation reaction with ultrahigh ECSA显示文摘Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) have received tremendous research interests because of the facile storage of liquid methanol vs.hydrogen.However,the DMFC today is severely plagued by the poor kinetics and rather high overpotential in methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).Here we report the investigation of the ultrathin Rh wavy nanowires as a highly effective MOR electrocatalyst.We show that ultrathin wavy Rh nanowires can be robustly synthesized with 2-3 nm diameters.Electrochemical studies show a current peak at the potential of 0.61 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE),considerably lower than that of Pt based catalysts (~ 0.8-0.9 V vs.RHE).Importantly,with ultrathin diameters and favorable charge transport,the Rh nanowires catalysts exhibit an ultrahigh electrochemically active surface area determined from CO-stripping (ECSAco) of 144.2 m2/g,far exceeding that of the commercial Rh black samples (20 m2/g).Together,the Rh nanowire catalysts deliver a mass activity of 722 mA/mg at 0.61 V,considerably higher than many previously reported electrocatalysts at the same potential.The chronoamperometry studies also demonstrate good stability and CO-tolerance compared with the Rh black control sample,making ultrathin Rh wavy nanowires an attractive electrocatalyst for MOR.Xiaoyang Fu Zipeng Zhao Chengzhang Wan Yiliu Wang Zheng Fan Frank Song Bocheng Cao Mufan Li Wang Xue Yu Huang Xiangfeng Duan 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:3
4Co-fermented defatted rice bran alters gut microbiota and improves growth performance,antioxidant capacity,immune status and intestinal permeability of finishing pigs显示文摘Based on preparation of co-fermented defatted rice bran(DFRB)using Bacillus subtilis,Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Lactobacillus plantarum and phytase,the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of cofermented DFRB on growth performance,antioxidant capacity,immune status,gut microbiota and permeability in finishing pigs.Ninety finishing pigs(85.30±0.97 kg)were randomly assigned to 3treatments(3 replicates/treatment)with a basal diet(Ctrl),a basal diet supplemented with 10% unfermented DFRB(UFR),and a basal diet supplemented with 10% fermented DFRB(FR)for 30 d.Results revealed that the diet supplemented with FR notably(P<0.05)improved the average daily gain(ADG),gain to feed ratio(G:F)and the digestibility of crude protein,amino acids and dietary fiber of finishing pigs compared with UFR.Additionally,FR supplementation significantly(P<0.05)increased total antioxidant capacity,the activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase,and decreased the content of malonaldehyde in serum.Furthermore,FR remarkably(P<0.05)increased serum levels of Ig G,antiinflammatory cytokines(IL-22 and IL-23)and reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-1β and INF-γ).The decrease of serum diamine oxidase activity and serum D-lactate content in the FR group(P<0.05)suggested an improvement in intestinal permeability.Supplementation of FR also elevated the content of acetate and butyrate in feces(P<0.05).Moreover,FR enhanced gut microbial richness and the abundance of fiber-degrading bacteria such as Clostridium butyricum and Lactobacillus amylovorus.Correlation analyses indicated dietary fiber in FR was associated with improvements in immune status,intestinal permeability and the level of butyrate-producing microbe C.butyricum,which was also verified by the in vitro fermentation analysis.These findings provided an experimental and theoretical basis for the application of fermented DFRB in finishing pigs.Weifa Su Zipeng Jiang Cheng Wang Yu Zhang Tao Gong Fengqin Wang Mingliang Jin Yizhen Wang Zeqing Lu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,4:3
5The Forced Secondary Circulation of the Mei-yu Front显示文摘Using National Centers for Environmental Prediction reanalysis data for the period 28 June to 12 July during 2001 to2013,the secondary circulation(SC)associated with the mei-yu front was quantitatively diagnosed by numerically solving a primitive version of the Sawyer-Eliassen equation.Results demonstrate that a direct SC exists near the mei-yu front zone during mid-summer and the synoptic-scale geostrophic deformations are the main factors determining SC structures.About94%of the sinking strength and 61%of the ascending strength in the SC are induced by the geostrophic deformations.Other terms,such as diabatic heating,ageostrophic dynamical forcing,and frictional forcing,mainly influence the fine flow pattern of the SC.The forced SC produces a frontogenesis area tilting to the north with altitude.Further diagnosis clarifies the positive feedback involving the geostrophic shear forcing and vorticity frontogenesis in the upper-level mei-yu front zone.Furthermore,statistical results indicate that all 34 deep convection cases that occurred in the warm region of the meiyu front over the period 2004-2013 experienced high-level frontogenesis associated with along-jet cold advection.The cyclonic shear forcing'moved'the monsoon SC’s subsidence branch to the warm side of the mei-yu front and caused the subsidence branch to extend downwards to the lower troposphere,conducive to the initiation of deep convection in the warm region of the mei-yu front.Zipeng YUAN Xiaoyong ZHUGE Yuan WANG 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,7:2
6Bayesian machine learning-based method for prediction of slope failure time显示文摘The data-driven phenomenological models based on deformation measurements have been widely utilized to predict the slope failure time(SFT).The observational and model uncertainties could lead the predicted SFT calculated from the phenomenological models to deviate from the actual SFT.Currently,very limited study has been conducted on how to evaluate the effect of such uncertainties on SFT prediction.In this paper,a comprehensive slope failure database was compiled.A Bayesian machine learning(BML)-based method was developed to learn the model and observational uncertainties involved in SFT prediction,through which the probabilistic distribution of the SFT can be obtained.This method was illustrated in detail with an example.Verification studies show that the BML-based method is superior to the traditional inverse velocity method(INVM)and the maximum likelihood method for predicting SFT.The proposed method in this study provides an effective tool for SFT prediction.Jie Zhang Zipeng Wang Jinzheng Hu Shihao Xiao Wenyu Shang 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4:2
7Nanoparticle‑Loaded Polarized‑Macrophages for Enhanced Tumor Targeting and Cell‑Chemotherapy显示文摘Cell therapy is a promising strategy for cancer therapy.However,its therapeutic efficiency remains limited due to the complex and immunosuppressive nature of tumor microenvironments.In this study,the“cell-chemotherapy”strategy was presented to enhance antitumor efficacy.M1-type macrophages,which are therapeutic immune cells with both of immunotherapeutic ability and targeting ability,carried sorafenib(SF)-loaded lipid nanoparticles(M1/SLNPs)were developed.M1-type macrophages were used both as therapeutic tool to provide immunotherapy and as delivery vessel to target deliver SF to tumor tissues for chemotherapy simultaneously.M1-type macrophages were obtained by polarizing macrophages using lipopolysaccharide,and M1/SLNPs were obtained by incubating M1-type macrophages with SLNP.Tumor accumulation of M1/SLNP was increased compared with SLNP(p<0.01),which proved M1/SLNP could enhance tumor targeting of SF.An increased ratio of M1-type macrophages to M2-type macrophages,and the CD3^+CD4^+T cells and CD3^+CD8^+T cell quantities in tumor tissues after treatment with M1/SLNP indicated M1/SLNP could relieve the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironments.The tumor volumes in the M1/SLNP group were significantly smaller than those in the SLNP group(p<0.01),indicating M1/SLNP exhibited enhanced antitumor efficacy.Consequently,M1/SLNP showed great potential as a novel cellchemotherapeutic strategy combining both cell therapy and targeting chemotherapy.Teng Hou Tianqi Wang Weiwei Mu Rui Yang Shuang Liang Zipeng Zhang Shunli Fu Tong Gao Yongjun Liu Na Zhang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,1:1
8Synthesis of surface controlled nickel/palladium hydride nanodendrites with high performance in benzyl alcohol oxidation显示文摘Benzaldehyde byproduct is an imperative intermediate in the production of fine chemicals and additives.Tuning selectivity to benzaldehyde is therefore critical in alcohol oxidation reactions at the industrial level.Herein,we report a simple but innovative method for the synthesis of palladium hydride and nickel palladium hydride nanodendrites with controllable morphology,high stability,and excellent catalytic activity.The synthesized dendrites can maintain the palladium hydride phase even after their use in the chosen catalytic reaction.Remarkably,the high surface area morphology and unique interaction between nickel-rich surface and palladium hydride (β-phase) of these nanodendrites are translated in an enhanced catalytic activity for benzyl alcohol oxidation reaction.Our Ni/PdH0.43 nanodendrites demonstrated a high selectivity towards benzaldehyde of about 92.0% with a conversion rate of 95.4%,showing higher catalytic selectivity than their PdH0.43 counterparts and commercial Pd/C.The present study opens the door for further exploration of metal/metal-hydride nanostructures as next-generation catalytic materials.Zipeng Zhao Michelle M.Flores Espinosa Jihan Zhou Wang Xue Xiangfeng Duan Jianwei Miao Yu Huang 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:1

11Amorphous urchin-like copper@nanosilica hybrid for efficient CO_(2) electroreduction to C2+ products显示文摘Currently most of research efforts for selective electrocatalysis CO_(2) reduction to C2+products have relied on crystalline Cu-based catalysts;amorphous Cu with abundant low-coordinated atoms holds greater promise for this conversion yet remains relatively underexplored.Here we report an amorphous urchin-like Cu@nanosilica hybrid synthesized by electrostatic coupling Si polyanions with Cu salt in hydrothermal processes.The Cu@nanosilica electrocatalyst displays excellent CO_(2) electroreduction activity and selectivity with a Faradic efficiency of 70.5%for C2+product production,and higher stability compared to the crystalline Cu counterpart.The solar-driven CO_(2) electrolysis yields an energy efficiency of 20%for C2+product production.Mechanism study reveals that the urchin-like Cu@nanosilica catalyst with amorphous Cu/Cu^(+)dispersion enhances CO_(2) adsorption and activation to facilitate generation of CO_(2)^(-)*and possible CO^(*)intermediates,and suppresses hydrogen evolution concurrently.The combined effects of both aspects promote efficient C2+product production from CO_(2) electroreduction.Rui Yang Zipeng Zeng Zhen Peng Jiafang Xie Yiyin Huang Yaobing Wang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:1
12Amphiphilic small molecular mates match hydrophobic drugs to form nanoassemblies based on drug-mate strategy显示文摘Nanomedicine has made great progress in the targeted therapy of cancer. Here, we established a novel drug-mate strategy by studying the formulation of nanodrugs at the molecular level. In the drug-mate combination, the drug is a hydrophobic drug that is poorly soluble in water, and the mate is an amphiphilic small molecule (SMA) that has both hydrophilic and lipophilic properties. We proposed that the hydrophobic drug could co-assemble with a suitable SMA on a nanoscale without additive agents. The proof-ofconcept methodology and results were presented to support our hypothesis. We selected five hydrophobic drugs and more than ten amphiphilic small molecules to construct a library. Through molecular dynamic simulation and quantum chemistry computation,we speculated that the formation of nanoassemblies was related to the binding energy of the drug-mate, and the drug-mate interaction must overcome drug-drug interaction.Furthermore, the obtained SF/VECOONa nanoassemblieswas selected as a model, which had an ultra-high drug loading content (46%), improved pharmacokinetics, increased bioavailability, and enhanced therapeutic efficacy. 13Prediction and Verifcation of Forming Limit Diagrams Based on a Modifed Shear Failure Criterion显示文摘The forming limit diagram plays an important role in predicting the forming limit of sheet metals.Previous studies have shown that,the method to construct the forming limit diagram based on instability theory of the original shear failure criterion is efective and simple.The original shear instability criterion can accurately predict the left area of the forming limit diagram but not the right area.In this study,in order to improve the accuracy of the original shear failure criterion,a modifed shear failure criterion was proposed based on in-depth analysis of the original shear failure criterion.The detailed improvement strategies of the shear failure criterion and the complete calculation process are given.Based on the modifed shear failure criterion and diferent constitutive equations,the theoretical forming limit of TRIP780 steel and 5754O aluminum alloy sheet metals are calculated.By comparing the theoretical and experimental results,it is shown that proposed modifed shear failure criterion can predict the right area of forming limit more reasonably than the original shear failure criterion.The efect of the pre-strain and constitutive equation on the forming limits are also analyzed in depth.The modifed shear failure criterion proposed in this study provides an alternative and reliable method to predict forming limit of sheet metals.Haibo Wang Zipeng Wang Yu Yan Yuanhui Xu 2023Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2023,36,5:0
14Stress compensation based on interfacial nanostructures for stable perovskite solar cells显示文摘The long-term stability issue of halide perovskite solar cells hinders their commercialization.The residual stress-strain affects device stability,which is derived from the mismatched thermophysical and mechanical properties between adjacent layers.In this work,we introduced the Rb_(2)CO_(3)layer at the interface of SnO_(2)/perovskite with the hierarchy morphology of snowflake-like microislands and dendritic nanostructures.With a suitable thermal expansion coefficient,the Rb_(2)CO_(3)layer benefits the interfacial stress relaxation and results in a compressive stress-strain in the perovskite layer.Moreover,reduced nonradiative recombination losses and optimized band alignment were achieved.An enhancement of open-circuit voltage from 1.087 to 1.153 V in the resultant device was witnessed,which led to power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 22.7%(active area of 0.08313 cm^(2))and 20.6%(1 cm2).Moreover,these devices retained 95%of its initial PCE under the maximum power point tracking(MPPT)after 2700 h.It suggests inorganic materials with high thermal expansion coefficients and specific nanostructures are promising candidates to optimize interfacial mechanics,which improves the operational stability of perovskite cells.Cheng Zhu Xi Wang Hangxuan Li Chenyue Wang Ziyan Gao Pengxiang Zhang Xiuxiu Niu Nengxu Li Zipeng Xu Zhenhuang Su Yihua Chen Huachao Zai Haipeng Xie Yizhou Zhao Ning Yang Guilin Liu Xueyun Wang Huanping Zhou Jiawang Hong Xingyu Gao Yang Bai Qi Chen 2023Interdisciplinary Materials2023,2,2:0
15Gold nanoclusters conjugated berberine reduce inflammation and alleviate neuronal apoptosis by mediating M2 polarization for spinal cord injury repair显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)leads to nerve cell apoptosis and loss of motor function.Herein,excessive activation of the M1 phenotype macrophages/microglia is found to be the main reason for the poor prognosis of SCI,but the selective activation phenotype(M2)macrophages/microglia facilitates the recovery of SCI.Thereafter,we used gold nanoclusters loaded berberine(BRB-AuNCs)to reduce inflammation by inhibiting the activation of M1 phenotype macrophages/microglia,which simultaneously inhibited neuronal apoptosis after SCI.In vitro and in vivo experiments showed that BRB-AuNCs reduced M1 protein marker CD86,increased M2 protein marker CD206,reduced inflammation and apoptotic cytokines(IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,Cleaved Caspase-3 and Bax).These results indicate that BRB-AuNCs have excellent anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effects by inducing the polarization of macrophages/microglia from M1 phenotype to M2 phenotype.Thereafter,the motor functions of SCI rats were significantly improved after treatment with BRB-AuNCs.This work not only provides a new way for the treatment of SCI but also broadens BRB utilization strategies.Zipeng Zhou Dan Li Xiangyi Fan Yajiang Yuan Hongyu Wang Dahao Wang Xifan Mei 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:0
16Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 40 regulates piglet performance,antioxidant capacity,immune status and gut microbiota显示文摘Probiotics can improve animal growth performance and intestinal health.Bacillus species,Lactobacillus species,Bifidobacterium species,yeast etc.are the common types of probiotics.However,understanding the effects of probiotics on the immune status and gut microbiota of weaning piglets and how the probiotics exert their impact are still limited.This study aimed to investigate the effects of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 40(BA40)on the performance,immune status and gut microbiota of piglets.A total of 12 litters of newborn piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups.Piglets in control group were orally dosed with phosphate buffered saline;BA40 group and probiotics group were orally gavaged with resuspension BA40 and a probiotics product,respectively.The results showed that BA40 treatment significantly decreased(P<0.05)the diarrhea incidence(from d 5 to 40),diamine oxidase,D-lactate,interleukin(IL)-1βand interferon-γconcentrations compared with control group and probiotics group.Meanwhile BA40 dramatically increased the total antioxidant capacity,IL-10 and secretory immunoglobulin-A concentrations in contrast to control group.For the microbial composition,BA40 modulated the microbiota by improving the abundance of Bacteroides,Phascolarctobacterium(producing short-chain fatty acids)and Desulfovibrio and reducing the proliferation of pathogens(Streptococcus,Tyzzerella,Vellionella and paraeggerthella).Meanwhile,a metabolic function prediction explained that carbohydrate metabolism and amino acid metabolism enriched in BA40 group in contrast to control group and probiotics group.For correlation analysis,the results demonstrated that BA40-enriched Phascolarctobacterium and Desulfovibrio provide insights into strategies for elevating the health status and performance of weaned piglets.Altogether,BA40 exerted stronger ability in decreasing diarrhea incidence and improved antioxidant activity,gut barrier function and immune status of piglets than the other treatments.Our study provided the experimental and theoretical basis for the application of BA40 in pig production.Zipeng Jiang Weifa Su Wentao Li Chaoyue Wen Shuai Du Huan He Yu Zhang Tao Gong Xinxia Wang Yizhen Wang Mingliang Jin Zeqing Lu 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,1:0

18Competitive Nucleation and Rapid Growth of Co-Si Intermetallic Compounds during Eutectic Solidification under Containerless Processing Condition显示文摘The liquid-solid transitions of (Co2Si+CoSi) and (CoSi+CoSi2) eutectic alloys were realized in drop tube and the rapid eutectic growth mechanism of intermetallic compounds was examined. The experimental and calculated results indicate that with increasing Co content, the intermetallic compound prefers nucleating primarily. The eutectic microstructures experience the transitions of 'lamellar-anomalous-divorced' eutectic with undercooling. In undercooled state, the growth of CoSi intermetallic compound always lags behind others, and no matter how large the undercooling is, this intermetallic compound grows under the solutal diflusion control. The calculated coupled zone demonstrates that (Co2Si+CoSi) eutectic can form within certain undercooling regime, when the composition is in the range from 23.6% to 25.4% Si.
