2Land cover classification from remote sensing images based on multi-scale fully convolutional network显示文摘Although the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)has shown great potential for land cover classification,the frequently used single-scale convolution kernel limits the scope of informa-tion extraction.Therefore,we propose a Multi-Scale Fully Convolutional Network(MSFCN)with a multi-scale convolutional kernel as well as a Channel Attention Block(CAB)and a Global Pooling Module(GPM)in this paper to exploit discriminative representations from two-dimensional(2D)satellite images.Meanwhile,to explore the ability of the proposed MSFCN for spatio-temporal images,we expand our MSFCN to three-dimension using three-dimensional(3D)CNN,capable of harnessing each land cover category’s time series interac-tion from the reshaped spatio-temporal remote sensing images.To verify the effectiveness of the proposed MSFCN,we conduct experiments on two spatial datasets and two spatio-temporal datasets.The proposed MSFCN achieves 60.366%on the WHDLD dataset and 75.127%on the GID dataset in terms of mIoU index while the figures for two spatio-temporal datasets are 87.753%and 77.156%.Extensive comparative experiments and abla-tion studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed MSFCN.Rui Li Shunyi Zheng Chenxi Duan Libo Wang Ce Zhang 2022Geo-Spatial Information Science2022,25,2:4
3Cloning of aminopeptidase N promoter and its activity in hematopoietic cell and different tumor cell lines显示文摘Aminopeptidase N (APN) promoter region was cloned and sequenced from peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The recombinant reporter construct containing the promoter and luciferase gene, designated pXPl-APNLuc, was introduced into myeloblastic cell line, T lymphocyte cell line and various tumor cell lines. Luciferase assay showed that APN upstream promoter is myeloid-specific for high expression in myeloblastic cell line and much lower expression in T lymphocyte cell line. The promoter activity was relatively high in lung adenoma cell line compared with other tumor cell lines including hepatoma cell line, tong cancer cell line and esophageal cancer cell line in which the promoter activity significantly diminished or was almost undetectable. 8Supramolecular-mediated ball-in-ball porous carbon nanospheres for ultrafast energy storage显示文摘Hierarchical porous carbons are the most viable electrode material for supercapacitors because of their balanced capacitive performance and chemical stability.Their pore connectivity plays a pivotal role in electrolyte transport,which is quantified by a new parameter,defined in this work as the longest possible pore separation(LPPS).Herein,we report hierarchical porous carbon nanospheres(HPC-NS)with a unique ball-in-ball structure,which is achieved by the pyrolysis of a supramolecular complex ofγ-cyclodextrin(γ-CD)/PEO-PPO-PEO(F127).This approach differs from the conventional softtemplating method in that,apart from the assembly of the monomicelles that leads to the host nanospheres(approximately 300 nm),theγ-CD-containing monomicelles themselves are converted to small porous carbon nanospheres(<10 nm),which results in an ultralow LPPS of 10 nm,representing the bestknown pore connectivity of the HPC family.The HPC-NS delivers a high specific capacitance(405 F g^(-1)at 1 A g^(-1)and 71%capacitance retention at 200 A g^(-1)),wide voltage window(up to 1.6 V),and simultaneously high energy and power densities(24.3 Wh kg^(-1)at a power density of 151 W kg^(-1)and 9 Wh kg^(-1)at 105 W kg^(-1))in aqueous electrolytes.This new strategy boosts the development of porous carbon electrodes for aqueous supercapacitors with simultaneously high power and energy densities.Lei Yao Junsheng Lin Yuanyuan Chen Xiujuan Li Dongrui Wang Haitao Yang Libo Deng Zijian Zheng 2022InfoMat2022,4,4:1
9Three-dimensional printed tissue engineered bone for canine mandibular defects显示文摘Background:Three-dimensional(3D)printed tissue engineered bone was used to repair the bone tissue defects in the oral and maxillofacial(OMF)region of experimental dogs.Material and methods:Canine bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)were obtained from 9 male Beagle dogs and in vitro cultured for osteogenic differentiation.The OMF region was scanned for 3D printed surgical guide plate and mold by ProJet1200 high-precision printer using implant materials followed sintering at 1250℃.The tissue engineered bones was co-cultured with BASCs for 2 or 8 d.The cell scaffold composite was placed in the defects and fixed in 9 dogs in 3 groups.Postoperative CT and/or micro-CT scans were performed to observe the osteogenesis and material degradation.Results:BMSCs were cultured with osteogenic differentiation in the second generation(P2).The nanoporous hydroxyapatite implant was made using the 3D printing mold with the white porous structure and the hard texture.BMSCs with osteogenic induction were densely covered with the surface of the material after co-culture and ECM was secreted to form calcium-like crystal nodules.The effect of the tissue engineered bone on the in vivo osteogenesis ability was no significant difference between 2 d and 8 d of the compositing time.Conclusions:The tissue-engineered bone was constructed by 3D printing mold and hightemperature sintering to produce nanoporous hydroxyapatite scaffolds,which repair in situ bone defects in experimental dogs.The time of compositing for tissue engineered bone was reduced from 8 d to 2 d without the in vivo effect.Li Zhang Junling Tang Libo Sun Ting Zheng Xianzhi Pu Yue Chen Kai Yang 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,1:1

143D-printed cell-free PCL-MECM scaffold with biomimetic micro-structure and micro-environment to enhance in situ meniscus regeneration显示文摘Despite intensive effort was made to regenerate injured meniscus by cell-free strategies through recruiting endogenous stem/progenitor cells,meniscus regeneration remains a great challenge in clinic.In this study,we found decellularized meniscal extracellular matrix(MECM)preserved native meniscal collagen and glycosaminoglycans which could be a good endogenous regeneration guider for stem cells.Moreover,MECM significantly promoted meniscal fibrochondrocytes viability and proliferation,increased the expression of type II collagen and proteoglycans in vitro.Meanwhile,we designed 3D-printed polycaprolactone(PCL)scaffolds which mimic the circumferential and radial collagen orientation in native meniscus.Taken these two advantages together,a micro-structure and micro-environment dually biomimetic cell-free scaffold was manipulated.This cell-free PCL-MECM scaffold displayed superior biocompatibility and yielded favorable biomechanical capacities closely to native meniscus.Strikingly,neo-menisci were regenerated within PCL-MECM scaffolds which were transplanted into knee joints underwent medial meniscectomy in rabbits and sheep models.Histological staining confirmed neo-menisci showed meniscus-like heterogeneous staining.Mankin scores showed PCL-MECM scaffold could protect articular cartilage well,and knee X-ray examination revealed same results.Knee magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scanning also showed some neo-menisci in PCL-MECM scaffold group.In conclusion,PCL-MECM scaffold appears to optimize meniscus regeneration.This could represent a promising approach worthy of further investigation in preclinical applications.Weimin Guo Mingxue Chen Zhenyong Wang Yue Tian Jinxuan Zheng Shuang Gao Yangyang Li Yufeng Zheng Xu Li Jingxiang Huang Wei Niu Shuangpeng Jiang Chunxiang Hao Zhiguo Yuan Yu Zhang Mingjie Wang Zehao Wang Jiang Peng Aiyuan Wang Yu Wang Xiang Sui Wenjing Xu Libo Hao Xifu Zheng Shuyun Liu Quanyi Guo 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:1

17Machine Learning‑Enhanced Flexible Mechanical Sensing显示文摘To realize a hyperconnected smart society with high productivity,advances in flexible sensing technology are highly needed.Nowadays,flexible sensing technology has witnessed improvements in both the hardware performances of sensor devices and the data processing capabilities of the device’s software.Significant research efforts have been devoted to improving materials,sensing mechanism,and configurations of flexible sensing systems in a quest to fulfill the requirements of future technology.Meanwhile,advanced data analysis methods are being developed to extract useful information from increasingly complicated data collected by a single sensor or network of sensors.Machine learning(ML)as an important branch of artificial intelligence can efficiently handle such complex data,which can be multi-dimensional and multi-faceted,thus providing a powerful tool for easy interpretation of sensing data.In this review,the fundamental working mechanisms and common types of flexible mechanical sensors are firstly presented.Then how ML-assisted data interpretation improves the applications of flexible mechanical sensors and other closely-related sensors in various areas is elaborated,which includes health monitoring,human-machine interfaces,object/surface recognition,pressure prediction,and human posture/motion identification.Finally,the advantages,challenges,and future perspectives associated with the fusion of flexible mechanical sensing technology and ML algorithms are discussed.These will give significant insights to enable the advancement of next-generation artificial flexible mechanical sensing.Yuejiao Wang Mukhtar Lawan Adam Yunlong Zhao Weihao Zheng Libo Gao Zongyou Yin Haitao Zhao 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,4:1
