2Purely organic optoelectronic materials with ultralong-lived excited states under ambient conditions显示文摘The exponential growth of utilizing synthetic organic molecules in optoelectronic applications poses strong demands for rational control over the excited states of the materials. The manipulation of excited states through molecular design has led to the development of high-performance optoelectronic devices with tunable emission colors, high quantum efficiencies and efficient energy/charge transfer processes. Recently, a significant breakthrough in lifetime tuning of excited states has been made;the purely organic molecules were found to have ultralonglived excited state under ambient conditions with luminescence lifetimes up to 1.35 s, which are several orders of magnitude longer than those of conventional organic fluorophores. Given the conceptual advance in understanding the fundamental behavior of excited state tuning in organic luminescent materials, the investigations of organic ultralong room-temperature phosphorescence(OURTP) should provide new directions for researches and have profound impacts on many different disciplines. 3A general and simple method for evaluating the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall measurement显示文摘Expected for many promising applications in the field of electronics and optoelectronics, a reliable method for the characterization of graphene electrical transport properties is desired to predict its device performance or provide feedback for its synthesis.However, the commonly used methods of extracting carrier mobility from graphene field effect transistor or Hall-bar is time consuming, expensive, and significantly affected by the device fabrication process other than graphene itself.Here we reported a general and simple method to evaluate the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall measurement.By annealing graphene in vacuum to remove the adsorbed dopants and then exposing it in ambient surroundings, carrier mobility as a function of density can be measured with the increase of carrier density due to the dopant re-adsorption from the surroundings.Further, the relationship between the carrier mobility and density can be simply fitted with a power equation to the first level approximation, with which any pair of measured carrier mobility and density can be normalized to an arbitrary carrier density for comparison.We experimentally demonstrated the reliability of the method, which is much simpler than making devices and may promote the standard making for graphene characterization.Fangzhu Qing Yang Shu Linsen Qing Yuting Niu He Guo Shuyi Zhang Chunlin Liu Changqing Shen Wanli Zhang Samuel S.Mao Wenjuan Zhu Xuesong Li 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,22:2

7Dietary fat intake and liver cancer risk: A prospective cohort study in Chinese women显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to determine whether dietary fat intake increased liver cancer risk in Chinese women from a prospective population-based cohort.Methods:A total of 72,704 Chinese women were followed up from the time of baseline recruitment(1996–2000)to the end of 2016.Dietary fat intake was calculated using a validated food frequency questionnaire.The Cox regression model was used to assess the hazard ratio(HR)and 95%confidence intervals(CI)for dietary fat intake and liver cancer risk.Results:We identified 252 incident liver cancer cases out of 1,267,845 person-years during the overall follow-up time.Null associations,neither in quartiles nor per standard deviation(SD)increment,were detected between liver cancer risk and dietary total fat,fat subtypes and subtype ratios,and food sources.The HR(95%CI)of the 1-SD increment was 1.03(0.90–1.17)for total fat,1.06(0.93–1.20)for saturated fat,1.06(0.93–1.21)for monounsaturated fat,and 1.00(0.89–1.13)for polyunsaturated fat.Similar null associations were observed in stratification analyses according to body mass index and menopausal status.Conclusions:In our prospective cohort study,no significant association was observed in Chinese women between dietary fat and liver cancer risk,and in stratification and sensitivity analyses.Xiaowei Ji Jing Wang Zhuoying Li Qiuming Shen Jiayi Tuo Jinghao Bi Yuting Tan Honglan Li Yongbing Xiang 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,3:1
8Functional lithiophilic polymer modified separator for dendrite-free and pulverization-free lithium metal batteries显示文摘Severe performance drop and fire risk due to the uneven lithium(Li) dendrite formation and growth during charge/discharge process has been considered as the major obstacle to the practical application of Li metal batteries.So inhibiting dendrite growth and producing a stable and robust solid electrolyte interface(SEI) layer are essential to enable the use of Li metal anodes.In this work,a functional lithiophilic polymer composed of chitosan(CTS),polyethylene oxide(PEO),and poly(triethylene glycol dimethacrylate)(PTEGDMA),was homogeneously deposited on a commercial Celgard separator by combining electrospraying and polymer photopolymerization techniques.The lithiophilic environment offered by the CTS-PEO-PTEGDMA layer enables uniform Li deposition and facilitates the formation of a robust homogeneous SEI layer,thus prevent the formation and growth of Li dendrites.As a result,both Li/Li symmetric cells and LiFePO4/Li full cells deliver significantly enhanced electrochemical performance and cycle life.Even after 1000 cycles,the specific capacity of the modified full cell could be maintained at65.8 mAh g^(-1), twice which of the unmodified cell(32.8 mAh g^(-1)).The long-term cycling stability in Li/Li symmetric cells,dendrite-free anodes in SEM images and XPS analysis suggest that the pulverization of the Li anode was effectively suppressed by the lithiophilic polymer layer.Lingdi Shen Xin Liu Jing Dong Yuting Zhang Chunxian Xu Chao Lai Shanqing Zhang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1:1

17Integrative Analysis of Genome,3D Genome,and Transcriptome Alterations of Clinical Lung Cancer Samples显示文摘Genomic studies of cancer cell alterations,such as mutations,copy number variations(CNVs),and translocations,greatly promote our understanding of the genesis and development of cancers.However,the 3D genome architecture of cancers remains less studied due to the complexity of cancer genomes and technical difficulties.To explore the 3D genome structure in clinical lung cancer,we performed Hi-C experiments using paired normal and tumor cells harvested from patients with lung cancer,combining with RNA sequenceing analysis.We demonstrated the feasibility of studying 3D genome of clinical lung cancer samples with a small number of cells(1×10^(4)),compared the genome architecture between clinical samples and cell lines of lung cancer,and identified conserved and changed spatial chromatin structures between normal and cancer samples.We also showed that Hi-C data can be used to infer CNVs and point mutations in cancer.By integrating those different types of cancer alterations,we showed significant associations between CNVs,3D genome,and gene expression.We propose that 3D genome mediates the effects of cancer genomic alterations on gene expression through altering regulatory chromatin structures.Our study highlights the importance of analyzing 3D genomes of clinical cancer samples in addition to cancer cell lines and provides an integrative genomic analysis pipeline for future larger-scale studies in lung cancer and other cancers.Tingting Li Ruifeng Li Xuan Dong Lin Shi Miao Lin Ting Peng Pengze Wu Yuting Liu Xiaoting Li Xuheng He Xu Han Bin Kang Yinan Wang Zhiheng Liu Qing Chen Yue Shen Mingxiang Feng Xiangdong Wang Duojiao Wu Jian Wang Cheng Li 2021Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,5:1

19温带草原生态系统土壤原核生物特征对自然水分梯度的响应显示文摘土壤水分是影响生态系统功能的重要因素,其不仅可以维持微生物的活性,还可以通过改变植被多样性,控制土壤养分的扩散和运输,最终改变微生物群落。为探索土壤含水量对土壤原核生物群落的影响,本研究在中国内蒙古呼伦湖南岸的草原生态系统中建立了一个覆盖自然土壤水分梯度的研究区域,并将其细分为高含水量(4.80%±1.18%)、中含水量(2.17%±0.09%)和低含水量(1.85%±0.14%)三个梯度。环境因子是通过实地调查和实验室分析获得的。土壤原核生物是通过高通量测序技术测定的。植被特征和土壤理化性质对原核生物丰富度多样性有显著影响,其中土壤含水量是最重要的影响因素。在中含水量梯度中,差异原核生物的数量最少,且门水平原核微生物的多样性和相对丰度最高。这表明中含水量梯度下的原核生物群落的内在变异较小,整体活性较高。此外,高含水量和低含水量梯度的原核生物多样性和门水平相对丰度较低。表型预测结果表明,这两组条件下的原核微生物群落具有更强的耐受性。总之,原核生物群落对呼伦湖南岸草地生态系统的自然水分梯度有明显响应,土壤水分过高或过低都会增加原核生物的抗逆性。Xin Chen Yujue Wang Yuting Shen Weiguo Sang Nengwen Xiao Chunwang Xiao 2023Journal of Plant Ecology2023,16,6:0
20Differential bone metabolism and protein expression in mice fed a high-fat diet versus Daurian ground squirrels following natural pre-hibernation fattening显示文摘This study compared the effects on bone metabolism and morphology of pathological obesity induced by excessive fat intake in a non-hibernator(mice)versus healthy obesity due to pre-hibernation fattening in a hibernator(ground squirrels).Kunming mice were fed a high-fat diet to provide a model of pathological obesity(OB group).Daurian ground squirrels fattened naturally in their pre-hibernation season(PRE group)were used as a healthy obesity model.Micro-computed tomography(micro-CT)and three-point bending tests were used to determine the microstructure and mechanical properties of bone.Western blots were used to analyze protein expression levels related to bone metabolism(Runt-related transcription factor 2(RunX2),osteocalcin(OCN),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),osteoprotegerin(OPG),receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand(RANKL),cathepsin K,matrix metallopeptidase 9(MMP9),patched protein homolog 1(Ptch1),phosphorylatedβ-catenin(P-β-catenin),and glycogen synthase kinase-3β(GSK-3β)).Compared with controls,there was no obvious bone loss in the OB mice,and the stiffness of the femur was increased significantly.Compared with summer active squirrels,bone formation was enhanced but the mechanical properties did not change in the PRE group squirrels.In OB mice,western blots showed significantly increased expression levels of all proteins except RunX2,OPG,and Ptch1.PRE ground squirrels showed significantly increased expression of most proteins except OCN and Ptch1,which decreased significantly,and P-β-catenin and OPG,which did not change.In conclusion,for non-hibernating mice,moderate obesity had a certain protective effect on bones,demonstrating two-way regulation,increasing both bone loss and bone formation.For pre-hibernating ground squirrels,the healthy obesity acquired before hibernation had a positive effect on the microstructure of bones,and also enhanced the expression levels of proteins related to bone formation,bone resorption,and Wnt signaling.Xuli GAO Shenyang SHEN Qiaohua NIU Weilan MIAO Yuting HAN Ziwei HAO Ning AN Yingyu YANG Yu ZHANG Han ZHANG Kenneth BSTOREY Hui CHANG 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,12:0
