| 3 | Investigation of Amorphization of Nb-Si Alloys by Mechanical Alloying显示文摘Amorphous Nb_(62.5)Si_(37.5) and Nb_(75)Si_(25) alloys were produced from mixtures of elemental Nb and Si powders by mechanical alloying(MA).The structural changes of mechanically alloyed powders were monitored by x-ray diffraction.It was found that NbSi_(2),intermetallic compound was formed in the initial stage of MA of or Nb_(62.5)Si_(37.5) or Nb_(75)Si_(25) powders.With continued milling,the mixtures of intermetallic NbSi_(2) and elemental Nb transformed into amorphous Nb-Si alloys(Nb_(62.5)Si_(37.5) or Nb_(75)Si_(25)).The slow interdiffusion of Nb and Si and the slower diffusion of silicon atoms to niobium matrix than that of niobium atoms to silicon matrix were suggested to be responsible for the formation of intermetallic NbSi_(2).The amorphization of 3NbSi_(2)+7Nb mixtures(or NbSi_(2)+5Nb mixtures)is believed to be controlled by material transfer,which moves composition of line intermetallic NbSi2 off stoichiometry,and causes the matrix of elemental Nb deformed. | LI Bing MA Xueming LIU Lin QI Zhenzhong DONG Yuanda | 1994 | Chinese Physics Letters1994,11,11: | 4 |

| 6 | Mechanically Driven Alloying and Structural Evolution of Nanocrystalline Fe_(60)Cu_(40) Powder显示文摘Highly supersaturated nanocrystalline fcc Fe60Cu40 alloy has been prepared by mechanical alloying of elemental powders. The phase transformation is monitored by X-ray diffraction (XRD),Mossbauer spectroscopy and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). The powder obtained after milling is of single fcc structure with grain size of nanometer order. The Mossbauer spectra of the milled powder can be fitted by two subspectra whose hyperfine magnetic fields are 16 MA/m and 20 MA/m while that of pure Fe disappeared. EXAFS results show that the radial structure function (RSF) of Fe K-edge changed drastically and finally became similar to that of reference Cu K-edge, while that of Cu K-edge nearly keeps unchanged in the process of milling. These imply that bcc Fe really transforms to fcc structure and alloying between Fe and Cu occurs truly on an atomic scale. EXAFS results indicate that iron atoms tend to segregate at the boundaries and Cu atoms are rich in the fcc lattice. | 8 | Recapitulation of growth factor-enriched microenvironment via BMP receptor activating hydrogel显示文摘Exposure to a growth factor abundant milieu has remarkable regenerative and rejuvenating effects on organ diseases,tissue damage,and regeneration,including skeletal system defects and bone regeneration.Although the introduction of candidate growth factors into relevant fields has been reported,their regenerative effects remain unsatisfactory,mainly because of the experimental challenges with limited types of growth factors,elusive dosage adjustment,and asynchronous stem cell activation with cytokine secretion.Here,an innovative hydrogel recapitulating a growth factor-enriched microenvironment(GEM)for regenerative advantage,is reported.This sulfated hydrogel includes bone morphogenetic protein-2(BMP-2),an essential growth factor in osteogenesis,to direct mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)differentiation,stimulate cell proliferation,and improve bone formation.The semi-synthetic hydrogel,sulfonated gelatin(S-Gelatin),can amplify BMP-2 signaling in mouse MSCs by enhancing the binding between BMP-2 and BMP-2 type II receptors(BMPR2),which are located on MSC nuclei and activated by the hydrogel.Importantly,the dramatically improved cytokine secretion of MSCs throughout regeneration confirms the growth factor-acquiring potential of S-Gelatin/rhBMP-2 hydrogel,leading to the vascularization enhancement.These findings provide a new strategy to achieve an in situ GEM and accelerated bone regeneration by amplifying the regenerative capacity of rhBMP-2 and capturing endogenous growth factors. | Qinghao Zhang Yuanda Liu Jie Li Jing Wang Changsheng Liu | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,2: | 0 |
| 9 | Oncolytic adenoviruses expressing checkpoint inhibitors for cancer therapy显示文摘Despite the remarkable success of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs),primary resistance to ICIs causes only subsets of patients to achieve durable responses due to the complex tumor microenvironment(TME).Oncolytic viruses(OVs)can overcome the immunosuppressive TME and promote systemic antitumor immunity in hosts.Engineered OVs armed with ICIs would likely have improved effectiveness as a cancer therapy.According to the diverse immune cell landscapes among different types of tumors,we rationally and precisely generated three recombinant oncolytic adenoviruses(OAds):OAd-SIRPα-Fc,OAd-Siglec10-Fc and OAd-TIGIT-Fc.These viruses were designed to locally deliver SIRPα-Fc,Siglec10-Fc or TIGIT-Fc fusion proteins recognizing CD47,CD24 or CD155,respectively,in the TME to achieve enhanced antitumor effects.Our results suggested that OAd-SIRPα-Fc and OAd-Siglec10-Fc both showed outstanding efficacy in tumor suppression of macrophage-dominated tumors,while OAd-TIGIT-Fc showed the best antitumor immunity in CD8+T-cell-dominated tumors.Importantly,the recombinant OAds activated an inflammatory immune response and generated long-term antitumor memory.In addition,the combination of OAd-Siglec10-Fc with anti-PD-1 significantly enhanced the antitumor effect in a 4T1 tumor model by remodeling the TME.In summary,rationally designed OAds expressing ICIs tailored to the immune cell landscape in the TME can precisely achieve tumor-specific immunotherapy of cancer. | Daoyuan Xie Yaomei Tian Die Hu Yuanda Wang Yuling Yang Bailing Zhou Rui Zhang Zhixiang Ren Mohan Liu Jie Xu Chunyan Dong Binyan Zhao Li Yang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,12: | 0 |

| 11 | Angiopoietin-1 mRNA and Bcl-2 expression following estradiol treatment in ovariectomized rats with focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:Estrogen has been clinically demonstrated to attenuate ischemic brain injury. However,the precise mechanisms remain controversial. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of estradiol on angiopoietin-1 mRNA and Bcl-2 expression, as well as apoptosis and cerebral blood flow,in ovariectomized rats with focal cerebral ischemia following reperfusion. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Randomized,controlled,animal experiment.The study was performed at the Central Laboratory,Chongqing Medical University from September to December 2005. MATERIALS:Estradiol benzoate was purchased from Shanghai Ninth Pharmaceutical Factory; com oil was purchased from Walmart Supercenter;TUNEL kit,rabbit anti-rat Bcl-2 polyclonal antibody,and biotin-labeled goat anti-rabbit antibody were purchased from Wuhan Boster,China. METHODS:Healthy,female,6-month-old Wistar rats-wild-type and estrogen alpha receptor gene knockout(ERKO)-were randomly divided into estradiol and control groups with 25 animals in each group.The rats were intramuscularly injected with estradiol benzoate(100μg/kg per day) at 30 days following bilateral ovariectomy or corn oil(1 mL/kg per day) for seven consecutive days.Following administration,cerebral ischemia/reperfusion models were established using the right middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) method.After 30 minutes of MCAO,estradiol and control groups were separately injected with estradiol benzoate and corn oil with the above-mentioned doses. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Cell apoptosis was determined by TUNEL;angiopoietin-1 mRNA and Bcl-2 gene expression was determined,respectively,by immunohistochemical staining and RT-PCR.In addition,changes in cerebral blood flow were measured by laser Doppler flowmetry. RESULTS:Changes in angiopoietin-1 mRNA and cerebral blood flow in estradiol-treated,wild-type, MCAO rats following ischemia/reperfusion were greater than in control rats(P<0.01 or 0.05). However,no significant difference was observed between estradiol-treated ERKO MCAO rats and control rats.In addition,estradiol-treated wild-type and ERKO MCAO rats exhibited significantly increased Bcl-2 expression(P<0.05) and decreased number of apoptotic cells in brain tissues compared with control groups(P<0.05). | 13 | Venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for COVID-19 and influenza H1N1 associated acute respiratory distress syndrome:A comparative cohort study in China显示文摘Background Venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(VV-ECMO)has been demonstrated to be effective in treating patients with virus-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).However,whether the management of ECMO is different in treating H1N1 influenza and coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)-associated ARDS patients remains unknown.Methods This is a retrospective cohort study.We included 12 VV-ECMO-supported COVID-19 patients admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University,Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital,and Wuhan Union Hospital West Campus between January 23 and March 31,2020.We retrospectively included VV-ECMO-supported patients with COVID-19 and H1N1 influenza-associated ARDS.Clinical characteristics,respiratory mechanics including plateau pressure,driving pressure,mechanical power,ventilatory ratio(VR)and lung compliance,and outcomes were compared.Results Data from 25 patients with COVID-19(n=12)and H1N1(n=13)associated ARDS who had received ECMO support were analyzed.COVID-19 patients were older than H1N1 influenza patients(P=0.004).The partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide(PaCO_(2))and VR before ECMO initiation were significantly higher in COVID-19 patients than in H1N1 influenza patients(P<0.001 and P=0.004,respectively).COVID-19 patients showed increased plateau and driving pressure compared with H1N1 subjects(P=0.013 and P=0.018,respectively).Patients with COVID-19 remained longer on ECMO support than did H1N1 influenza patients(P=0.015).COVID-19 patients who required ECMO support also had fewer intensive care unit and ventilator-free days than H1N1.Conclusions Compared with H1N1 influenza patients,COVID-19 patients were older and presented with increased PaCO_(2) and VR values before ECMO initiation.The differences between ARDS patients with COVID-19 and influenza on VV-ECMO detailed herein could be helpful for obtaining a better understanding of COVID-19 and for better clinical management. | Yonghao Xu Yin Xi Shuijiang Cai Yuheng Yu Sibei Chen Weijie Guan Weibo Liang Hongkai Wu Weiqun He Xilong Deng Yuanda Xu Rong Zhang Manshu Li Jieyi Pan Zhenting Liang Ya Wang Shaofeng Kong Xiaoqing Liu Zheng Lv Yimin Li | 2023 | Journal of Intensive Medicine2023,3,4: | 0 |

ExperimentaIresults show that rapid solidification refines the grain size. extends the solid solubility of Si in Al and Introduces a high density ot defects which exist in the forms of vacancies, dislocations and dislocation loops. etc.. The decomposition process of the alloys was fol lowed by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and the activation energy for precipitation of Si was obtained through Kissinger analysis. The precipitation behaviour of Supersaturated Si in both samples was further examined by TEM. It was found that Si mainly precipitated inside the grains in Al-1 wt-%Si alloy. while in Al-4 wt-%Si alloy. nearly all the Si precipitates distributed along the grain boundaries. | 16 | All-carbon hybrids for high-performance electronics,optoelectronics and energy storage显示文摘The family of carbon allotropes such as carbon nanotubes(CNTs) and graphene, with their rich chemical and physical characteristics, has attracted intense attentions in the field of nanotechnology and enabled a number of disruptive devices and applications in electronics, optoelectronics and energy storage.Just as no individual 2 D(two-dimensional) material can meet all technological requirements of various applications, combining carbon materials of different dimensionality into a hybrid form is a promising strategy to optimize properties and to build novel devices operating with new principles. In particular, the direct synthesis of 2 D or 3 D(three-dimensional) sp2-hybridized all-carbon hybrids based on merging CNTs and graphene affords a great promise for future electronic, optoelectronic and energy storages. Here, we review the progress of all-carbon hybrids-based devices, covering material preparation, fabrication techniques as well as applied devices. Recent progress about large-scale synthesis and assembly techniques is highlighted,and with many intrinsic advantages, the all-carbon strategy opens up a highly promising approach to obtain high-performance integrated circuits.
