| 1 | Terahertz Band: Lighting up Next-Generation Wireless Communications显示文摘With the explosion of wireless data rates,the terahertz(THz)band(0.1–10 THz)is envisioned as a promising candidate to break the existing bandwidth bottleneck and satisfy the ever-increasing capacity demand.The THz wireless communications feature a number of attractive properties,such as potential terabit-per-second capacity and high energy efficiency.In this paper,an overview on the state-of-the-art THz communications is studied,with a special focus on key technologies of THz transceivers and THz communication systems.The recent progress on both electronic and photonic THz transmitters are presented,and then the THz receivers operating in direct-and heterodyne reception modes are individually surveyed.Based on the THz transceiver schemes,three kinds of THz wireless communication systems are reviewed,including solid-state electronic systems,photonics-assisted systems and all-photonics systems.The prospective key enabling technologies,corresponding challenges and research directions for lighting up high-speed THz communication systems are discussed as well. | Hongqi Zhang Lu Zhang Xianbin Yu | 2021 | China Communications2021,18,5: | 4 |
| 2 | Clinical Prediction Models for Hepatitis B Virus-related Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure:A Technical Report显示文摘Background and Aims:It is critical but challenging to predict the prognosis of hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF).This study systematically summarized and evaluated the quality and performance of available clinical prediction models(CPMs).Methods:A keyword search of articles on HBV-ACLF CPMs published in PubMed from January 1995 to April 2020 was performed.Both the quality and performance of the CPMs were assessed.Results:Fifty-two CPMs were identified,of which 31 were HBV-ACLF specific.The modeling data were mostly derived from retrospective(83.87%)and single-center(96.77%)cohorts,with sample sizes ranging from 46 to 1,202.Three-month mortality was the most common endpoint.The Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver consensus(51.92%)and Chinese Medical Association liver failure guidelines(40.38%)were commonly used for HBV-ACLF diagnosis.Serum bilirubin(67.74%),the international normalized ratio(54.84%),and hepatic encephalopathy(51.61%)were the most frequent variables used in models.Model discrimination was commonly evaluated(88.46%),but model calibration was seldom performed.The model for end-stage liver disease score was the most widely used(84.62%);however,varying performance was reported among the studies.Conclusions:Substantial limitations lie in the quality of HBV-ACLF-specific CPMs.Disease severity of study populations may impact model performance.The clinical utility of CPMs in predicting short-term prognosis of HBV-ACLF remains to be undefined. | Xia Yu Yi Lu Shanshan Sun Huilan Tu Xianbin Xu Kai Gong Junjie Yao Yu Shi Jifang Sheng | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6: | 3 |

| 14 | Focal Mechanism Solution of the February 23,2014,M_L3.8 Rongchang Earthquake with the CAP(Cut and Paste)Method显示文摘A M_L3.8 earthquake occurred on February 23,2014 in Rongchang County,which is located at the southern edge of the Sichuan Basin in the border area between Sichuan and Chongqing. This paper presents results of focal mechanism solution of this earthquake using the CAP( cut and paste) method based on broadband seismograms recorded by regional seismic stations. Our results show that the moment magnitude is M_W3. 09 and focal depth is 3km. The hypocenter of this earthquake is located close to a buried fault in the Luoguangshan anticline. Oil prospecting and deep drilling data indicate that this buried fault is a thrust fault,striking SW230°,dipping NW45°,and 1. 7km deep. There are some injection wells within the anticline,and significant injection-induced earthquakes were observed during the periods of injection of waste water into the deep formations through those wells.
