1Thermodynamic modeling and phase diagram prediction of salt lake brine systems.Ⅰ. Aqueous Mg^2+–Ca^2+–Cl^- binary and ternary systems显示文摘Salt lake brine is a complex salt-water system under natural environment.Although many models can express the thermodynamic properties and phase equilibrium of electrolyte aqueous solution,the multi-temperature characteristics and predictability are still the goals of model development.In this study,a comprehensive thermodynamic model system is re-established based on the eNRTL model and some improvements:(1) new expression of long-range electrostatic term with symmetrical reference state is proposed to handle the electrolyte solution covering entire concentration range;(2) the temperature dependence of the binary interaction parameters is formulated with a Gibbs Helmholtz expression containing three temperature coefficients,the liquid parameters,which associated with Gibbs energy,enthalpy,and heat capacity contribution;and(3) liquid parameters and solid species data are regressed from properties and solubility data at full temperature range.Together the activity coefficient model,property models and parameters of liquid and solid offer a comprehensive thermodynamic model system for the typical bittern of MgCl2-CaCl2-H2 O binary and ternary systems,and it shows excellent agreement with the literature data for the ternary and binary systems.The successful prediction of complete phase diagram of ternary system shows that the model has the ability to deal with high concentration and high non-idealitv system,and the ability to extrapolate the temperature.Huan Zhou Xiaolong Gu Yaping Dai Jingjing Tang Jian Guo Guangbi Li Xiaoqin Bai 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,9:9
2Distribution of organic carbon in sediments and its influences on adjacent sea area in the turbidity maximum of Changjiang Estuary in China显示文摘Distributions and sources of total organic carbon(TOC)in seabed sediments and their implications for hydrodynamics are analyzed,in the turbidity maximum of the Changjiang Estuary.Ecology ecoenvironmental effects of estuary water on the continuously increasing terrigenous organic carbon from the Changjiang River are also explored through variations of organic carbon content and water quality indicators.Results show that,hydrodynamics exert important influences on distributions of organic carbon in the turbidity maximum of Changjiang Estuary.For their redistribution effect of terrigenous organic carbon within the moving layer in the whole region,variations from land to sea are not indicated by surficial and vertical average values of TOC and total nitrogen(TN)contents in core sediment,as well as organic stable carbon isotopes in surface sediments.However,on the long-time scale,the trend of terrigenous organic carbon decreasing from land to sea is still displayed by variations of stable carbon isotopic average values becoming heavier from land to sea.Previous studies have shown that high content of Chl a cannot appear in the Changjiang Estuary in despite of adequate nourishment supply,because photosynthesis of phytoplankton is constrained by high suspended sediment concentration(SSC).However,an area with a high content of Chl a occurs,which may be caused by resuspended benthic algae with bottom fine grain-size sediments.Tremendous pressures are imposed on the environment of Changjiang Estuary,because of ultrophication trends and special hydrodynamics.Phytoplankton bloom area tends to extend from the outer sea to the mouth of Changjiang River.GAO Jianhua WANG Yaping PAN Shaoming ZHANG Rui LI Jun BAI Fenglong 2008Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,4:7

4Similarity theory for the physical simulation of natural gas hydrate reservoir development显示文摘In order to apply physical simulation results to natural gas hydrate reservoir parameters to provide a theoretical framework for the design of a development plan,an analytical equation method was used to obtain the similarity criteria of natural gas hydrate reservoir development by physical simulation,based on a mathematical model of natural gas hydrate development.Given the approach of numerical simulation,a sensitivity analysis for all parameters was carried out,which specifically demonstrated that initial temperature is the most important parameter.Parameters of thermal conductivity coefficients are not necessary for conducting the NGH dissociation process,which will fundamentally simplify the design and establishment of the model.The analysis provides a sound theoretical basis and design principles for particular similarity.LIU Yaping CHEN Yueming BAI Yuhu LI Shuxia 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5:7
5Distribution and dispersal pattern of clay minerals in surface sediments,eastern Beibu Gulf,South China Sea显示文摘Clay minerology of sediments are useful in determining distribution,sources and dispersal routes of fine-grained sediments.In the present paper,clay minerals of surface sediments throughout the eastern part of Beibu Gulf has been investigated to reveal sources and transport of detrital finegrained sediments.Four distinct clay mineral suites were observed from cluster analysis of clay mineral compositions of the samples.From the distribution pattern of clay minerals,we conclude that kaolinte in the eastern gulf is mainly derived from South China Landmass;Smectite could not be transported mainly by surface current from north-western Hainan Island,and maybe minor portion of it from Red River;Illite is mainly transported by the currents from South China Sea.Chlorite has two sources,namely South China Sea and South China Landmass.The Zhujiang River derived sediments could not be one of the sources for the clay mineral here,because of very different composition and ratios.The distribution pattern of clay minerals in the eastern Beibu Gulf is mainly controlled by fine-grained sediment source and local currents.The Silt/Clay,Smectite/Kaolinte,and Smetite/(Chlorite+Illite) ratios could be used as indicators of fine-grained sediment dispersal in the gulf.LI Jun GAO Jianhua WANG Yaping LI Yan BAI Fenglong CEES Laban 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,2:6

7Distribution and their pollution assessment of heavy metals in the sediments of the Yalu River Estuary and its adjacent coastal waters显示文摘The present paper deals with the distribution patterns of heavy metals and the associated influencing factors in the Yalu River Estuary and its adjacent coastal waters.Based upon the analysis of the surficial and core sediments measurements,the pollution of heavy metal and potential ecological risk were evaluated.The burial flux and contents of heavy metals(except for copper) have been continuously increasing since the 1920s.Therefore,the gross potential ecological risk for the sedi-ments was high or very high,and the study area was endangered by heavy metals contamination.Heavy metals originated mainly from upstream pollutant input,correlation analysis showed that chromium,nickel,zinc,cadmium,lead,arsenic,and mercury in the sediments of the middle and west channels as well as the sea area of the western Yalu River Estuary concentrations were most probably derived from similar sources.In contrast,the metal of copper most probably originated from sources different from the other metals.Preliminary studies indicate that copper contamination was most likely the result of emission from mining activities situated at the upstream of the river.The contents of heavy metals in the sediments of estuarine turbidity maximum zone of Yalu River were larger than those of any other areas in the middle channel.With large portion of fine sediments,weaker hydrodynamics,and richer sources of heavy metals,the sediments of the west channel,were even more enriched with heavy metals than those of the middle channel.GAO Jianhua LI Jun Wang Harry V WANG Yaping WANG Zhenyan BAI Fenglong GAO Shu CHENG Yan 2009Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,6:4
8Alterations of natural killer cells in traumatic brain injury显示文摘To investigate the relationship between natural killer(NK) cells and traumatic brain injury(TBI), we tracked an established phenotype of circulating NK cells at several time points in patients with different grades of TBI. In serial peripheral blood samples, NK cells were prospectively measured by flow cytometry of CD3-CD56+ lymphocytes. Compared to healthy controls, TBI patients had reductions in both the percentage and the absolute number of NK cells. Furthermore, the magnitude of NK cell reduction correlated with the degree of TBI severity at several time points. That is, NK cell population size was independently associated with lower Glasgow Coma Scale scores. In addition, at some time points, a positive correlation was found between the NK cell counts and Glasgow Outcome Scale scores. 10Cloud type identification for a landfalling typhoon based on millimeter-wave radar range-height-indicator data显示文摘As a basic property of cloud,accurate identification of cloud type is useful in forecasting the evolution of landfalling typhoons.Millimeter-wave cloud radar is an important means of identifying cloud type.Here,we develop a fuzzy logic algorithm that depends on radar range-height-indicator(RHI)data and takes into account the fundamental physical features of different cloud types.The algorithm is applied to a ground-based Ka-band millimeter-wave cloud radar.The input parameters of the algorithm include average reflectivity factor intensity,ellipse long axis orientation,cloud base height,cloud thickness,presence/absence of precipitation,ratio of horizontal extent to vertical extent,maximum echo intensity,and standard variance of intensities.The identified cloud types are stratus(St),stratocumulus(Sc),cumulus(Cu),cumulonimbus(Cb),nimbostratus(Ns),altostratus(As),altocumulus(Ac)and high cloud.The cloud types identified using the algorithm are in good agreement with those identified by a human observer.As a case study,the algorithm was applied to typhoon Khanun(1720),which made landfall in south-eastern China in October 2017.Sequential identification results from the algorithm clearly reflected changes in cloud type and provided indicative information for forecasting of the typhoon.Zhoujie CHENG Ming WEI Yaping ZHU Jie BAI Xiaoguang SUN Li GAO 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,4:2
11OsSRK1,an Atypical S-Receptor-Like Kinase Positively Regulates Leaf Width and Salt Tolerance in Rice显示文摘Receptor-like kinases(RLKs)are important for plant growth,development and defense responses.The S-receptor protein kinases(SRKs),which represent an RLK subfamily,control the selfincompatibility among Brassica species.However,little information is available regarding SRK functions in rice.We identified a gene OsSRK1 encoding an atypical SRK.The transcript of OsSRK1 was induced by abscisic acid(ABA),salt and polyethylene glycol.OsSRK1 localized to the plasma membrane and cytoplasm.Leaf width was increased in OsSRK1-overexpression(OsSRK1-OX)transgenic rice plants,likely because of an increase in cell number per leaf.Furthermore,the expression levels of OsCYCA3-1 and OsCYCD2-1,which encode positive regulators of cell division,were up-regulated in leaf primordium of OsSRK1-OX rice plants relative to those in wild type.Meanwhile,the expression level of OsKRP1,which encodes cell cycle inhibitor,was down-regulated in the OsSRK1-OX plants.Therefore,it is deduced that OsSRK1 regulates leaf width by promoting cell division in the leaf primordium.Additionally,OsSRK1-OX plants exhibited enhanced ABA sensitivity and salt tolerance compared with wild type.These results suggest that OsSRK1 plays important roles in leaf development and salt responses in rice.ZHOU Jinjun JU Peina ZHANG Fang ZHENG Chongke BAI Bo LI Yaping WANG Haifeng CHEN Fan XIE Xianzhi 2020Rice science2020,27,2:2

17From Mechanically Interlocked Structures to Host-Guest Chemistry Based on Twisted Dimeric Architectures by Adjusting Space Constraints显示文摘Mechanically interlocked molecules(MIMs)and host–guest chemistry have received great attention in the past few decades.However,it remains challenging to design architectures with mechanically interlocked features and construct cavities for guest molecule recognition using similar building blocks.In this study,we designed and constructed a series of novel twisted supramolecular structures by assembling various multitopic terpyridine(tpy)ligands with the same diameter and Zn(II)ions.The obtained complexes exhibited evolutional architectures and showed distinctively different space-constraint effects.Specifically,the assembled dimer SA,SB,and SBH displayed mechanically interlocked phenomena,including[2]catenane and[3]catenane,with an increase in concentration.However,no interlocked structures were observed in complexes SC and SCH constructed by hexatopic tpy ligands due to the significant space constraints.The single-crystal data of complex SCH further proved significant space constraints and illustrated the formation of a relatively closed cavity,which showed excellent host–guest properties for different calixarenes,especially high affinity for calix[6]arene.Xin Jiang Hao Yu Junjuan Shi Qixia Bai Yaping Xu Zhe Zhang Xin-Qi Hao Bao Li Pingshan Wang Lixin Wu Ming Wang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,6:1
18Aristolochic acids exposure was not the main cause of liver tumorigenesis in adulthood显示文摘Aristolochic acids(AAs) have long been considered as a potent carcinogen due to its nephrotoxicity. Aristolochic acid I(AAI) reacts with DNA to form covalent aristolactam(AL)-DNA adducts,leading to subsequent A to T transversion mutation, commonly referred as AA mutational signature. Previous research inferred that AAs were widely implicated in liver cancer throughout Asia. In this study, we explored whether AAs exposure was the main cause of liver cancer in the context of HBV infection in China's Mainland. Totally 1256 liver cancer samples were randomly retrieved from 3 medical centers and a refined bioanalytical method was used to detect AAI-DNA adducts. 5.10% of these samples could be identified as AAI positive exposure. Whole genome sequencing suggested 8.41% of 107 liver cancer patients exhibited the dominant AA mutational signature, indicating a relatively low overall AAI exposure rate. In animal models, long-term administration of AAI barely increased liver tumorigenesis in adult mice, opposite from its tumor-inducing role when subjected to infant mice. Furthermore, AAI induced dose-dependent accumulation of AA-DNA adduct in target organs in adult mice, with the most detected in kidney instead of liver.
