2Changes of Accumulated Temperature, Growing Season and Precipitation in the North China Plain from 1961 to 2009显示文摘Using the high-quality observed meteorological data, changes of the thermal conditions and precipitation over the North China Plain from 1961 to 2009 were examined. Trends of accumulated temperature and negative temperature, growing season duration, as well as seasonal and annual rainfalls at 48 stations were analyzed. The results show that the accumulated temperature increased significantly by 348.5℃ day due to global warming during 1961-2009 while the absolute accumulated negative temperature decreased apparently by 175.3℃ day. The start of growing season displayed a significant negative trend of -14.3 days during 1961- 2009, but the end of growing season delayed insignificantly by 6.7 days. As a result, the length of growing season increased by 21.0 days. The annual and autumn rainfalls decreased slightly while summer rainfall and summer rainy days decreased significantly. In contrast, spring rainfall increased slightly without significant trends. All the results indicate that the thermal conditions were improved to benefit the crop growth over the North China Plain during 1961-2009, and the decreasing annual and summer rainfalls had no direct negative impact on the crop growth. 3Developing superior alleles of yield genes in rice by artificial mutagenesis using the CRISPR/Cas9 system显示文摘Rice yield is an important and complex agronomic trait controlled by multiple genes.In recent decades,dozens of yield-associated genes in rice have been cloned,many of which can increase production in the form of loss or degeneration of function.However,mutations occurring randomly under natural conditions have provided very limited genetic resources for yield increases.In this study,potentially yield-increasing alleles of two genes closely associated with yield were edited artificially.The recently developed CRISPR/Cas9system was used to edit two yield genes:Grain number 1a(Gn1a)and DENSE AND ERECT PANICLE1(DEP1).Several mutants were identified by a target sequence analysis.Phenotypic analysis confirmed one mutant allele of Gn1a and three of DEP1 conferring yield superior to that conferred by other natural high-yield alleles.Our results demonstrate that favorable alleles of the Gnla and DEP1 genes,which are considered key factors in rice yield increases,could be developed by artificial mutagenesis using genome editing technology.Liyu Huang Ru Zhang Guangfu Huang Yanxia Li Getachew Melaku Shilai Zhang Haitao Chen Yanjuan Zhao Jing Zhang Yesheng Zhang Fengyi Hu 2018The Crop Journal2018,6,5:8
4COVID-19 in cancer patients:risk,clinical features,and management显示文摘A novel coronavirus known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has spread across the world,prompting the World Health Organization to declare the coronavirus disease of 2019(COVID-19)a public health emergency of international concern.Cancer patients are regarded as a highly vulnerable population to SARS-CoV-2 infection and development of more severe COVID-19 symptoms,which is possibly due to the systemic immunosuppressive state caused directly by tumor growth and indirectly by effects of anticancer treatment.Currently,much effort has been directed toward studying the pathogenesis and treatment of COVID-19,but the risk profiles,prognoses,and treatment outcomes in cancer patients remain unclear.Based on the current literature,we summarize the risk profiles,clinical and biochemical characteristics,and therapy outcomes of COVID-19 infections in cancer patients.The challenges in the clinical care of cancer patients with COVID-19 are discussed.The goal of this review is to stimulate research to better understand the biological impact and prognoses of COVID-19 infections in cancer patients,thus facilitating improvement of the clinical management of these patients.Cuiwei Liu Yanxia Zhao Derick Okwan-Duodu Reva Basho Xiaojiang Cui 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,3:8

6A SVM-kNN method for quasar-star classification显示文摘We integrate k-Nearest Neighbors(kNN) into Support Vector Machine(SVM) and create a new method called SVM-kNN.SVM-kNN strengthens the generalization ability of SVM and apply kNN to correct some forecast errors of SVM and improve the forecast accuracy.In addition,it can give the prediction probability of any quasar candidate through counting the nearest neighbors of that candidate which is produced by kNN.Applying photometric data of stars and quasars with spectral classification from SDSS DR7 and considering limiting magnitude error is less than 0.1,SVM-kNN and SVM reach much higher performance that all the classification metrics of quasar selection are above 97.0%.Apparently,the performance of SVM-kNN has slighter improvement than that of SVM.Therefore SVM-kNN is such a competitive and promising approach that can be used to construct the targeting catalogue of quasar candidates for large sky surveys.PENG NanBo ZHANG YanXia ZHAO YongHeng 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,6:6
7N-doped graphene and TiO_2 supported manganese and cerium oxides on low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO_x with NH_3显示文摘A series of N-doped graphene(NG)and TiO_2 supported MnO_x–CeO_2 catalysts were prepared prepared by a hydrothermal method.The catalysts with different molar ratios of Mn/Ce(6:1,10:1,15:1)were investigated for the low-temperature selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO_x with NH_3.The synthesized catalysts were characterized by HRTEM,SEM,XRD,BET,XPS,and NH_3-TPD technologies.The characterization results indicated that manganese and cerium oxide particles dispersed on the surface of the TiO_2–NG support uniformly,and that manganese and cerium oxides existed in different valences on the surface of the TiO_2–NG support.At Mn element loading of 8 wt%,MnO_x–CeO_2(10:1)/TiO_2–1%NG displayed superior activity and improved SO_(2 )resistance.On the basis of the catalyst characterization,excellent catalytic performance and SO_2 tolerance at low temperature were attributed to the high content of manganese with high oxidation valence,extensive oxidation of NO into NO_2 by CeO_2 and strong NO adsorption capacity,and electron transfer of N-doped graphene.Chunlin ZHAO Yanxia WU Hailong LIANG Xi CHEN Jie TANG Xianzhong WANG 2018Journal of Advanced Ceramics2018,7,3:5
8Polytitanium sulfate(PTS):Coagulation application and Ti species detection显示文摘Interest in the development of inorganic polymerized coagulants is growing; however, there are only limited studies on the synthesis of polytitanium coagulants, which are expected to exhibit improved coagulation efficiency with better floc properties. This study presents the synthesis of polytitanium sulfate(PTS) for potential application in water purification,followed by characterization of PTS flocs and titanium species detection. Stable PTS solutions were successfully synthesized and standard jar tests were conducted to evaluate their coagulation efficiency. Electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry(ESI-TOF-MS) speciation analysis revealed that a variety of mononuclear and polynuclear complexes were formed in PTS solution, indicating the polymeric nature of the synthesized coagulant. Floc characteristics were studied through on-line monitoring of floc size using a laser diffraction particle size analyzer. Results showed that PTS had a comparable or in some cases even higher organic matter and particulate removal efficiency than Ti(SO_4)_2.The effluent p H after PTS coagulation significantly improved toward desirable values closer to neutral p H. Properties of flocs formed by PTS were significantly improved in terms of floc size, growth rate and structure. 9Impact of diabetes on promoting the growth of breast cancer显示文摘Background:Type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus(DM2)is a significant risk factor for cancers,including breast cancer.However,a proper diabetic breast cancer mouse model is notwell-established for treatment strategy design.Additionally,the precise diabetic signaling pathways that regulate cancer growth remain unresolved.In the present study,we established a suitable mouse model and demonstrated the pathogenic role of diabetes on breast cancer progression.Methods:We successfully generated a transgenic mouse model of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 positive(Her2^(+) or ERBB2)breast cancer with DM2 by crossing leptin receptor mutant(Lepr^(db/+))mice with (MMTV-ErbB2/neu)mice.Themousemodelswere administrated with antidiabetic drugs to assess the impacts of controlling DM2 in affecting tumor growth.Magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging was employed to analyze the tumor metabolism.Results:Treatment with metformin/rosiglitazone in MMTV-ErbB2/Lepr^(db/db) mousemodel reduced serum insulin levels,prolonged overall survival,decreased cumulative tumor incidence,and inhibited tumor progression.Anti-insulin resistance medications also inhibited glycolytic metabolism in tumors in vivo as indicated by the reduced metabolic flux of hyperpolarized ^(13)C pyruvate-to-lactate reaction.The tumor cells from MMTV-ErbB2/Lepr^(db/db) transgenic mice treated with metformin had reprogrammed metabolism by reducing levels of both oxygen consumption and lactate production.Metformin decreased the expression of Myc and pyruvate kinase isozyme 2(PKM2),leading to metabolism reprogramming.Moreover,metformin attenuated the mTOR/AKT signaling pathway and altered adipokine profiles.Conclusions:MMTV-ErbB2/Lepr^(db/db) mouse model was able to recapitulate diabetic HER2^(+) human breast cancer.Additionally,our results defined the signaling pathways deregulated in HER2^(+) breast cancer under diabetic condition,which can be intervened by anti-insulin resistance therapy.Ping-Chieh Chou Hyun Ho Choi Yizhi Huang Enrique Fuentes-Mattei Guermarie Velazquez-Torres Fanmao Zhang Liem Phan Jaehyuk Lee Yanxia Shi James A.Bankson Yun Wu Huamin Wang Ruiying Zhao Sai-Ching Jim Yeung Mong-Hong Lee 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,5:4

11Advanced lignin-acrylamide water treatment agent by pulp and paper industrial sludge: Synthesis, properties and application显示文摘A novel flocculant LA(lignin-acrylamide polymer), which was used as aid for aluminum sulfate and polyaluminum chloride in this study, was prepared by grafting acrylamide onto lignin that deriving from pulp and papermaking sludge. Physicochemical properties of LA were measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The experimental outcome indicated acrylamide was grafted onto the lignin backbone successfully. The efects of LA addition were evaluated on coagulation performance and floc characteristics as a function of aluminum(Al) dosage, such as floc size, growth rate, strength and recoverability. Efects of diferent dosing sequences, Al dosed first and LA dosed first, were also investigated. LA used as coagulant aid markedly enhanced the removal efciency of turbidity and dissolved organic carbon, especially at low Al dosages. The dissolved organic carbon removal efciencies of aluminum sulfate and polyaluminum chloride at the Al dosage range selected in this study were improved more than 30% and 5% by LA, respectively. LA dramatically enlarged floc size and it was in the order: Al dosed first > LA dosed first > Al. Floc strength and recoverability were also improved by LA. 12Cellulose derived biochar:Preparation,characterization and Benzo[α]pyrene adsorption capacity显示文摘Edible oil is prone to be contaminated by Benzo[a]pyrene(BaP)during production and processing.Adsorption is an important technology for the removal of BaP from edible oil,and biochar as a new type of adsorbent for the treatment BaP has received extensive attention.In this study,we prepared unmodified biochar and ZnCl_(2)-modified biochar from sesame straw cellulose(SSB and SSZ)and sesame capsule cellulose(SCB and SCZ),carried out structure characterization by Fourier Transform Infrared(FT-IR),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)and Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),and finally evaluated their potential effectiveness in BaP removal from sesame oil.FT-IR results revealed that SSZ and SCZ showed higher peak intensities,indicating that they could provide more active sites for adsorption.The results of XRD presented that SSZ and SCZ had a higher graphitization degree than the unmodified biochar.SEM results showed that the SSZ and SCZ had more complex pore structure,which is beneficial to adsorption.BET analysis results showed that SSZ and SCZ had a higher specific surface area of 1622.83-1797.39 m^(2)/g and a better developed porous structure(the total pore volume Vtotal was 0.9434-1.0023 cm^(3)/g)than the SSB and SCB(specific surface area was 350.55-352.59 m^(2)/g,and Vtotal was 0.1907-0.1918 cm^(3)/g),indicating that modification promoted the formation of porous structure and thus improved the adsorption capacity of biochar.Adsorption experiments confirmed once again that the BaP removal rates of SSZ and SCZ(92.67%-96.13%)were much higher than that of unmodified biochar(3.34%-4.28%),and the BaP content in the sesame oil treated by SSZ and SCZ were far below the current EU maximum levels(2μg/kg).Therefore,the modified biochar from cellulose is a promising adsorbent for BaP removal.In future studies,the influences of bichar on the nutritional quality of edible oil should be taken into consideration so as to find an ideal active carbon substitute for BaP removal in edible oil.Qiaoli Yang Yanxia Sun Wenhui Sun Zhao Qin Huamin Liu Yuxiang Ma Xuede Wang 2021Grain & Oil Science and Technology2021,4,4:2
13Comparative Osteology and Phylogenetic Relationship of Edmontosaurus and Shantungosaurus (Dinosauria:Hadrosauridae) from the Upper Cretaceous of North America and East Asia显示文摘The close affinity between Edmontosaurus and Shantungosaurus is corroborated on the basis of the following shared features:an occipital condyle deflected strongly posteroventrally; a posterodorsally reflected, lip-shaped oral margin of the premaxilla, with a deep, oval concavity at the anteromedial corner of the bone; a well-demarcated posterodorsal margin of the deeply excavated circumnarial fossa formed by a prominent arched ridge along the entire posterior half of the lateroventral border of the nasal; an anteroposteriorly broad jugal process of the postorbital; a strongly concave dorsal surface of the paired frontals; seven teeth per alveolus in the middle of the dentary tooth row; and a circular distal blade of the pubis that is much more expanded ventrally than dorsally. A revised phylogenetic analysis of Hadrosauroidea recovers a sister taxon relationship between Edmontosaurus and Shantungosaurus. Kerberosaurus is recovered as the sister taxon to the clade formed exclusively by these two genera. The clade Edmontosaurini could be defined as the least inclusive clade containing Kerberosaurus and Edmontosaurus, which is currently composed of the genera Kerberosaurus, Edmontosaurus, and Shantungosaurus. Zhuchengosaurus and Huaxiaosaurus,both from the Upper Cretaceous Wangshi Group in Zhucheng, are interpreted as junior synonyms of Shantungosaurus. Kundurosaurus is likewise considered a junior synonym of Kerberosaurus. 16Executive function during transient ischemic attacks显示文摘BACKGROUND: Recent researches demonstrate that damage of executive function is an early manifestation of vascular cognitive disorder. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the executive functions of patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA). DESIGN: Case control. SETTING: Department of Neurology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 83 TIA patients (46 males and 37 females, aged 32–74 years) were selected from Department of Neurology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College from July 2005 to December 2006. The diagnosis of TIA was established by the criteria of cerebrovascular diseases made by the Fourth National Cerebrovascular Disease Meeting. In these cases, forty-five patients (54%) were involved in internal carotid artery, and thirty-eight patients (46%) were involved in vertebral basilar system. Fifty healthy adults (Control group: 28 males and 22 females, aged 32–74 years) were chosen from retiree in community and family of patients. All of them were right-handedness, without cerebrovascular disease, cerebral trauma, inborn oligophrenia, and hearing and visual disorders; also they had no anxiety and depression nearly one week. In addition, all the subjects cooperated with examination. METHODS: After TIA diagnosis, all patients received neuropsychological examination, including attention and inhibition, working memory, flexibility, planning and diversion, based on Stroop tests (C and CW) and the Wisconsin card sorting tests (WCST). ① WCST test: The edition revised by Nelson was used. We would take the times of sorting, incorrect response, persistent incorrect response, and randomly incorrect response as the index of evaluation. ② Stroop tests: The edition revised by Trenarry was used and this test had two types: form color and form color-word. Their incorrect response and response time were recorded for data analysis in the end. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Results of WCST test and Stroop tests. RESULTS: A total of 83 TIA patients and 50 healthy subjects were involved in the final analysis. Items of Stroop tests, including response time of Stroop-C test, incorrect response of Stroop-C test, response time of Stroop-CW test and incorrect response of Stroop-CW test, and items of WCST, including incorrect response, persistent incorrect response and random incorrect response, between internal carotid artery system and vertebral basilar artery system were (93.87±24.39) s, 3.16±3.97, (228.46±68.13) s, 12.91±10.56, 55.42± 20.38, 26.58±10.41, 28.62±11.22; (96.76±24.75) s, 3.89±4.77, (223.46±72.54) s, 18.71±13.80, 52.47 ±22.25, 28.82±16.20, 23.39±9.72, respectively; this was higher than those in the control group [(52.10± 12.18) s, 1.68±1.97, (134.86±34.15) s, 4.22±4.21, 32.46±17.97, 14.42±8.47, 18.24±10.24, P < 0.05– 0.01]. Times of sorting of WCST between internal carotid artery system and vertebral basilar artery system were obviously lower than those in the control group (8.27±2.73, 8.66±2.77, 11.22±2.41, P < 0.01). However, there were no significant differences between internal carotid artery system and vertebral basilar artery system (P > 0.05). 17Comparison of VP broadband tiltmeter and VS vertical pendulum tiltmeter显示文摘Vertical pendulum(VP) tiltmeter is a kind of earthquake precursor observation equipment,which is used to record the interaction force associated with astronomical tidal tilts caused. Currently, VP broadband tiltmeter and vertical sensor(VS) vertical pendulum tiltmeter are primarily used. In this paper, we compare the two different instruments by using four aspectsdmechanical structure, circuitry, zeroing, and bandwidthdbased on their working principles and applications. 19Exploration of SDSS stellar database by AutoClass显示文摘AutoClass is an unsupervised Bayesian classification approach which seeks a maximum posterior probability classification for determining the optimal classes in large data sets. Using stellar photometric data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) data release 7 (DR7), we utilize AutoClass to select non-stellar objects from this sample in order to build a pure stellar sample. For this purpose, the differences between PSF (point spread function) magnitudes and model magnitudes in five wavebands are taken as the input of AutoClass. Through clustering analysis of this sample by AutoClass, 617 non-stellar candidates are found. These candidates are identified by NED and SIMBAD databases. Most of the identified sources (13 from SIMBAD and 28 from NED respectively) are extragalactic sources (e.g., galaxies, HII, radio sources, infrared sources), some are peculiar stars (e.g., supernovas), and very few are normal stars. The extragalactic sources and peculiar stars of the identified objects occupy 94.1%.
