1Development of and Perspective on High-Performance Nanostructured Bainitic Bearing Steel显示文摘Bearings are the most important component of nearly all mechanical equipment, as they guarantee the steady running of the equipment, which is especially important for high-end equipment such as highspeed trains and shield tunneling machines. Requirements regarding the quality of bearings are increasing with the rapid development in technology. A country’s bearings manufacturing level directly reflects the level of that country’s steel metallurgy and machinery manufacturing. The performance of the bearing steel is the critical factor that determines the quality of a bearing. The development of new bearing steel with higher performance is the ambition of material researchers and the expectation of the manufacturing industry. Many famous bearing manufacturing enterprises are competing to develop the new generation of bearing steel. Nanostructured bainitic bearing steel (NBBS), which is a newly developed bearing steel, not only possesses high strength and toughness, but also exhibits excellent wear resistance and rolling contact fatigue (RCF) resistance. In recent years, relevant achievements in NBBS in China have led to significant progress in this field. NBBS was first used in China to manufacture large bearings for wind turbines and heavy-duty bearings, with excellent performance. As a result, NBBS and its corresponding heat-treatment process have been included in the national and industry standards for the first time. The bearing industry considers the exploitation of NBBS to be epoch-making, and has termed this kind of bearing as the second generation of bainitic bearing. In this paper, the development of NBBS is reviewed in detail, including its advantages and disadvantages. 2A new iterative algorithm for geolocating a known altitude target using TDOA and FDOA measurements in the presence of satellite location uncertainty显示文摘This paper considers the problem of geolocating a target on the Earth surface whose altitude is known previously using the target signal time difference of arrival(TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival(FDOA) measurements obtained at satellites. The number of satellites available for the geolocation task is more than sufficient and their locations are subject to random errors. This paper derives the constrained Crame′r-Rao lower bound(CCRLB) of the target position, and on the basis of the CCRLB analysis, an approximately efficient constrained maximum likelihood estimator(CMLE) for geolocating the target is established. A new iterative algorithm for solving the CMLE is then proposed, where the updated target position estimate is shown to be the globally optimal solution to a generalized trust region sub-problem(GTRS) which can be found via a simple bisection search. First-order mean square error(MSE) analysis is conducted to quantify the performance degradation when the known target altitude is assumed to be precise but indeed has an unknown but deterministic error. Computer simulations are used to compare the performance of the proposed iterative geolocation technique with those of two benchmark algorithms. 3Machine learning guided appraisal and exploration of phase design for high entropy alloys显示文摘High entropy alloys(HEAs)and compositionally complex alloys(CCAs)have recently attracted great research interest because of their remarkable mechanical and physical properties.Although many useful HEAs or CCAs were reported,the rules of phase design,if there are any,which could guide alloy screening are still an open issue.In this work,we made a critical appraisal of the existing design rules commonly used by the academic community with different machine learning(ML)algorithms.Based on the artificial neural network algorithm,we were able to derive and extract a sensitivity matrix from the ML modeling,which enabled the quantitative assessment of how to tune a design parameter for the formation of a certain phase,such as solid solution,intermetallic,or amorphous phase.Furthermore,we explored the use of an extended set of new design parameters,which had not been considered before,for phase design in HEAs or CCAs with the ML modeling.To verify our ML-guided design rule,we performed various experiments and designed a series of alloys out of the Fe-Cr-Ni-Zr-Cu system.The outcomes of our experiments agree reasonably well with our predictions,which suggests that the ML-based techniques could be a useful tool in the future design of HEAs or CCAs.Ziqing Zhou Yeju Zhou Quanfeng He Zhaoyi Ding Fucheng Li Yong Yang 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:16
4Geochemical environmental changes and dinosaur extinction during the Cretaceous-Paleogene (K/T) transition in the Nanxiong Basin, South China: Evidence from dinosaur eggshells显示文摘The complex patterns of trace elements including Ir and isotope distributions in the three K/T sections of the Nanxiong Basin prove the existence of two environmental events in the latest Cretaceous and earliest Paleocene. The first geochemical environmental event occurred at about 2 Ma prior to the K/T boundary interval, where the dinosaur diversity was hardly reduced, except that a number of patho-logical eggshells appeared. The second one was larger and occurred just at and near the Creta-ceous-Paleogene (K/T) boundary. The extinction of the dinosaurs spread out within 250 ka with major extinction beginning at the boundary interval. This is even later than their extinction in Montana, North America and in India. The cause of the dinosaur extinction may be the result of a complex multiple events brought about by the coincidence of global environment change marked by multiple Ir and δ 18O anomalies, and environmental poisoning characterized by other trace elements derived from the local source. 5A Method for Evaluating the Suitability of CO2 Geological Storage in Deep Saline Aquifers显示文摘This work established an evaluation index system based on a comprehensive analysis of those factors affecting the suitability of CO_2 geological storage.This evaluation index system includes three evaluation index layers of geological safety,storage scale and social economy,nine evaluation index sub-layers,and 28 evaluation index factors,and adopts the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and index overlay methods.Taking the Xining Basin in northwest China as an example,we conducted comprehensive analysis of geological conditions and performed quantitative evaluation based on this evaluation index system,which indicates that the Shuangshu depression of the Xining Basin is comparatively suitable for CO_2 geological storage.It is suggested that this evaluation index system and the evaluation method proposed in this study are suitable for most continental sedimentary basins in China and should be widely applied.LI Fucheng ZHANG Yang JIA Xiaofeng LI Xufeng JIA Xiaoleng GUO Shengxiu 2016Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,5:4
6Anisotropy of wrought magnesium alloys: A focused overview显示文摘In this paper, the relationship between anisotropic mechanical properties and the corresponding microstructure evolution of wrought magnesium alloys is critically reviewed. Experimental observations of the strong anisotropy(including the strength differential effect) induced by texture and twinning are discussed under different loading conditions(i.e., monotonic, cyclic and multiaxial loading). An accurate constitutive model is essential to describe the mechanical responses and to predict the forming performance considering engineering applications. Therefore, macroscale constitutive modeling of the anisotropy of magnesium alloys with directional distortional hardening are comprehensively reviewed with different approaches. 8High Quality Data Hiding in Halftone Image Based on Block Conjugate显示文摘This paper proposes a High quality data hiding in halftone image based on block conjugate(HQDHBC). We construct Least mean square filters(LMSF),and using LMSFs to evaluate the quality of halftone images. This paper proposes block conjugate property, and this property can be applied to hide a secret pattern.Therefore a data hiding method based on block conjugate can be proposed, and in this method two images should be divided into multiple blocks of M × N pixels, and in the corresponding block if the first M × N-1 pixels are conjugate or identical, the last pixel can implement normal halftone method instead of date hiding methods. 10Assessment and comparison of recombinant proteins from different sources for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 infection by using protein microarray显示文摘COVID-19 (the COVID-19 is a type of disease and resulted from being infected by virus SARS-CoV-2) pandemic is threatening tens of millions of lives around the world [1]. To date, specific drugs or vaccines are still not available for fighting the SARS-CoV-2. Diagnosis and quarantine are still the effective strategies for preventing the virus from spreading. Up to now, various detection methods for SARS-CoV-2 have been developed [2], which play critical roles in controlling the pandemics. According to the targets to be detected, these methods can be divided into three classes: methods for the nucleic acid [3], antigens [4], and antibodies elicited by the virus in the host [5]. Among these methods, the ones for antigens and antibodies could produce results in 10–15 min [6], which are suitable for point-of-care diagnosis, especially the ones for antibodies [7]. Meanwhile, the asymptomatic cases [8] and the false-negative results of nucleic acid testing [9] make the detection methods based on antibodies the best alternatives. The proteins, used in methods for detection of antibodies elicited by SARS-CoV-2 in the host, are critical agents, which could affect the diagnosis results. Given the strong immunogenicity of the nucleocapsid (N protein), spike protein (S protein), and related domains [10] and the potential diagnosis values, we collected 9 S1 proteins, 3 N proteins, 5 S2-related proteins, and receptor-binding domains (RBDs) from ACROBiosystems (Beijing, China), ABclonal (Wuhan, China), Novoprotein (Shanghai, China), Sino Biological (Beijing, China), and KactusBiosystems (Shanghai, China) and fabricated a protein microarray (Fig. 1A) to assess their diagnosis performance. 11Comparative study of big data of global adakites and mineralization-related granite in the Geza arc metallogenic belt, northwest Yunnan, Southwest China显示文摘The Geza arc is an important part of the Sanjiang tectono-magmatic belt and is a newly discovered copper polymetallic ore concentration area in northwest Yunnan province,Southwest China.The area comprises numerous metal ore deposits,including one super-largedeposit,three large deposits,etc.The formation of these deposits was closely related to intermediate–acidic magmatic intrusions.Based on previous studies,the“big data”analysis technique was used for a comparative study of large geochemical datasets of granite related to ore-formation in the Geza porphyry copper deposit and global adakites.As a result,1313 element combinations and 127,765 overlap ratios were obtained.The results show that the Geza porphyry has similar geochemical characteristics to global adakites(the ratios of REE and Ga to major elements are in the range of global adakites).However,theCu,Mo,and Zn contents of the porphyry are significantly higher than those of global adakites,and the porphyry may,therefore,represent an end-member of the global range of adakite composition.In addition,the geochemistry of adakites associated with the porphyry copper deposits overlaps in part with that of global adakites,although most of the data lie outside of the range of global adakites(i.e.lowMn/Cu,Sr/Cu,Na/Cu,and Zr/Cu values,and high Th/Cu,Ba/Cu,Na/Mo,Rb/Mo,Th/Mo,Ta/Mo,Ba/Mo,Mn/Zn,and Ba/Znvalues).The samples with characteristics that deviate significantly from the geochemistry of global adakites show more advanced mineralization and alteration,and a stronger relationship with Cu and Momineralization.The results of geochemical data mining can be used as a prospecting indicator,and provide a new scientific basis for geological prospecting of the deep levels and per-iphery of the Geza Cu polymetallic ore belt.Liu Xuelong Li Wenchang Zhang Qi Zhang Na Zhang Changzhen Luo Ying Wang Shuaishuai Yang Fucheng Chen Jianhang Li Zhenhuan 2018Big Earth Data2018,2,3:1

13Translocation and biotoxicity of metal (oxide) nanoparticles in the wetland-plant system显示文摘Engineered nanoparticles(ENPs)threaten the environment through wastewater discharging.Generally,constructed wetlands(CWs)are efficient methods for ENPs removal.However,the biotoxicity of ENPs on plants in CWs is unclear.Here,we investigated the distribution and bio-impacts of different ENPs(Ag NPs,TiO_(2) NPs,and CeO_(2) NPs)in plants under 5-and 60-day exposure to 1 and 50 mg/L concentrations.Results showed that ENPs appeared in the vascular bundle and mesophyll cell space,which induced the variation in antioxidase activities(e.g.,superoxide dismutase[SOD],peroxidase[POD],and catalase[CAT]activities)as well as overproduction of malondialdehyde(MDA).Additionally,Ag NPs inhibited photosynthesis rate and root activity during two exposure phases.CeO_(2) NPs had positive and negative impacts on plants in 5-and 60-day exposure,respectively.Inversely,TiO_(2) NPs enhanced photosynthesis and root activity under 60-day exposure.Finally,the contents of the C,N,and P elements in plants fluctuated in response to ENPs stress.All results have a positive correlation with the wetland performance under ENPs exposure except for TiO_(2) NPs treatment.Overall,our study systematically reveals aquatic plants'responses to ENPs and provides a reference for building ecological treatment systems to purify wastewater containing ENPs.Xiangyu Yang Qiang He Fucheng Guo Xiaobo Liu Yi Chen 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,6:1
