| 1 | Assimilating operational SST and sea ice analysis data into an operational circulation model for the coastal seas of China显示文摘The prediction of sea surface temperature(SST) is an essential task for an operational ocean circulation model. A sea surface heat flux, an initial temperature field, and boundary conditions directly affect the accuracy of a SST simulation. Here two quick and convenient data assimilation methods are employed to improve the SST simulation in the domain of the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea(BYECS). One is based on a surface net heat flux correction, named as Qcorrection(QC), which nudges the flux correction to the model equation; the other is ensemble optimal interpolation(En OI), which optimizes the model initial field. Based on such two methods, the SST data obtained from the operational SST and sea ice analysis(OSTIA) system are assimilated into an operational circulation model for the coastal seas of China. The results of the simulated SST based on four experiments, in 2011, have been analyzed. By comparing with the OSTIA SST, the domain averaged root mean square error(RMSE) of the four experiments is 1.74, 1.16, 1.30 and 0.91°C, respectively; the improvements of assimilation experiments Exps 2, 3 and 4 are about 33.3%, 25.3%, and 47.7%, respectively.Although both two methods are effective in assimilating the SST, the En OI shows more advantages than the QC,and the best result is achieved when the two methods are combined. | 2 | Source apportionment of VOCs in a typical medium-sized city in North China Plain and implications on control policy显示文摘Characteristics of atmospheric VOCs(volatile organic compounds) have been extensively studied in megacities in China, however, they are scarcely investigated in medium/smallsized cities in North China Plain(NCP).A comprehensive research on possible sources of VOCs was conducted in a medium-sized city of NCP, from May to September 2019.A total of 143 canister samples of 8 sites in Xuchang city were collected, and 57 VOC species were detected.The average VOC concentrations were 42.6 ± 31.6 μg/m3, with 53.7 ± 31.0 μg/m3 and 32.1 ± 27.8 μg/m^(3), in the morning and afternoon, respectively.Alkenes and aromatics contributed 80% of the total ozone formation potential(OFP).Aromatics accounted for more than 95% of secondary organic aerosol potential(SOAP).VOCs were dominated by the local emission with significant transport from the southeast direction.PMF analysis extracted 6 sources, which were combustion(33.1%), LPG usage(19.3%), vehicular exhaust & fuel evaporation(15.8%), solvent usage(15.2%), industrial(9.11%) and biogenic(7.51%), respectively and they contributed 33.4%, 17.6%, 12.9%, 18.6%, 9.28% and 8.22% to the OFP, respectively.Combustion and LPG usage were the dominant VOC sources;and combustion, solvent usage and LPG usage were the main sources of OFP in Xuchang city, which were different to megacities in China with a high contribution from vehicular exhaust, solvent usage and industry,suggesting specific control strategies on VOCs need to be implemented in medium-sized city such as Xuchang city. | Juanjuan Qin Xiaobo Wang Yanrong Yang Yuanyuan Qin Shaoxuan Shi Peihua Xu Rongzhi Chen Xueming Zhou Jihua Tan Xinming Wang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,9: | 6 |

| 4 | Plasticity of language pathways in patients with low-grade glioma A diffusion tensor imaging study显示文摘Knowledge of the plasticity of language pathways in patients with low-grade glioma is important for neurosurgeons to achieve maximum resection while preserving neurological function. The current study sought to investigate changes in the ventral language pathways in patients with low-grade glioma located in regions likely to affect the dorsal language pathways. The results revealed no significant difference in fractional anisotropy values in the arcuate fasciculus between groups or between hemispheres. However, fractional anisotropy and lateralization index values in the left inferior longitudinal fasciculus and lateralization index values in the left inferior fronto-occpital fasciculus were higher in patients than in healthy subjects. These results indicate plasticity of language pathways in patients with low-grade glioma. The ventral language pathways may perform more functions in patients than in healthy subjects. | 5 | Intraoperative diffusion tensor imaging predicts the recovery of motor dysfunction after insular lesions显示文摘Insular lesions remain surgically challenging because of the need to balance aggressive resection and functional protection. Motor function deficits due to corticospinal tract injury are a common complication of surgery for lesions adjacent to the internal capsule and it is therefore essential to evaluate the corticospinal tract adjacent to the lesion. We used diffusion tensor imaging to evaluate the corticospinal tract in 89 patients with insular lobe lesions who underwent surgery in Chinese PLA General Hospital from February 2009 to May 2011. Postoperative motor function evaluation revealed that 57 patients had no changes in motor function, and 32 patients suffered motor dysfunction or aggravated motor dysfunction. Of the affected patients, 20 recovered motor function during the 6-12-month follow-up, and an additional 12 patients did not recover over more than 12 months of follow-up. Following reconstruction of the corticospinal tract, fractional anisotropy comparison demonstrated that preoperative, intraoperative and follow-up normalized fractional anisotropy in the stable group was higher than in the transient deficits group or the long-term deficits group. Compared with the transient deficits group, intraoperative normalized fractional anisotropy significantly decreased in the long-term deficits group. | 6 | A more efficient accountable authority IBE scheme under the DL assumption显示文摘In 2007, Goyal introduced a new and creative approach, called accountable authority identity-based encryption (referred to as A-IBE), to reduce the degree of trust that must be placed in the private-key generator (PKG) in an identity-based encryption (IBE) scheme. Based on his work, a new universal A-IBE scheme is proposed in this paper. Compared with Goyal's universal scheme, this new universal A-IBE scheme not only optimizes the time requirements for pairing operations, but also achieves a 'tighter' security reduction based on a weaker hard problem (the discrete logarithm problem) under a stronger security definition (using an adaptively selected identity). Because there are many fewer pairing operations in this new scheme, the performance of the application can be improved to some degree. In addition, because of the 'tighter' security reduction achieved by this new proposed scheme, a less restrictive security parameter can be chosen while achieving the same security as with Goyal's scheme along with an improvement in performance. In the respect of the time requirement, compared with the Goyal's universal scheme, this new scheme could be more efficient. Regrettably, these improvements will increase the memory needed for the public parameters and the volume of communications required. | 8 | Self-assembled FeS-based cascade bioreactor with enhanced tumor penetration and synergistic treatments to trigger robust cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Major challenges for cancer treatment are how to effectively eliminate primary tumor and sufficiently induce immunogenic cell death(ICD)to provoke a robust immune response for metastasis control.Here,a self-assembled cascade bioreactor was developed to improve cancer treatment with enhanced tumor penetration and synergistic therapy of starvation,chemodynamic(CDT)and photothermal therapy.Ultrasmall Fe S-GOx nanodots were synthesized with glucose oxidase(GOx)as template and induced by paclitaxel(PTX)to form self-assembling Fe S-GOx@PTX(FGP)via hydrophobic interaction.After accumulated at tumor sites,FGP disassembles to smaller Fe S-GOx for enhanced deep tumor penetration.GOx maintains high enzymatic activity to catalyze glucose with assistant of oxygen to generate hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)as starvation therapy.Fenton reaction involving the regenerated H_(2)O_(2) in turn produced more hydroxyl radicals for enhanced CDT.Following near-infrared laser at 808 nm,FGPs displayed pronounced tumor inhibition in vitro and in vivo by the combination therapy.The consequent increased exposure to calreticulin amplified ICD and promoted dendritic cells maturation.In combination with anti-CTLA4 checkpoint blockade,FGP can absolutely eliminate primary tumor and avidly inhibit distant tumors due to the enhanced intratumoral infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.Our work presents a promising strategy for primary tumor and metastasis inhibition. | Hao Ren Jiahui Yong Qingqing Yang Zhen Yang Zhangya Liu Yan Xu Hao Wang Xing Jiang Wenjun Miao Xueming Li | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10: | 2 |

| 14 | Effects of dietary vitamin K_(3) levels on growth,coagulation,calcium content,and antioxidant capacity in largemouth bass,Micropterus salmoides显示文摘An 8-week feeding trial investigated the optimum dietary vitamin K3 requirements of largemouth bass.A total of 600 healthy fish(12.96±0.07 g)were fed diets containing varying levels of vitamin K3 at 0.78(K0),5.80(K5),10.82(K10),15.84(K15),and 20.85(K20)mg/kg with four replicates per level.Results showed that dietary vitamin K3 enhanced growth,with weight gain rate and specific growth rate in K15 trials significantly higher than K0 trials(P<0.05).No significant difference was observed in the content of crude protein,crude lipid,moisture,ash,and phosphorus in muscle tissue(P>0.05).However,the supplementation of vitamin K3 significantly contributed to calcium accumulation in muscle tissues and vertebrae(P<0.05)and increased red blood cell counts(P<0.05).The blood coagulation time decreased significantly with increasing dietary vitamin K3 from 0.78 to 10.82 mg/kg(P<0.05)before stabilizing(P>0.05).The antioxidant capacity was improved with the addition of vitamin K3,which was inconsistent with the changes in malondialdehyde and MK-4(a form of menaquinone)within liver and serum,suggesting that the toxicity of excessive artificial vitamin K3 may account for this difference.Using regression analysis,the appropriate dietary vitamin K3 levels within a largemouth bass diet was determined to be in the range of 9.93-15.22 mg/kg,which will provide a reference for the preparation of vitamin premix and artificial diet for largemouth bass. | Xiang Wei Ying Hang Xiang Li Xueming Hua Xiangming Cong Wanting Yi Xu Guo | 2023 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2023,8,2: | 1 |
