| 2 | The integration of transcriptomic and transgenic analyses reveals the involvement of the SA response pathway in the defense of chrysanthemum against the necrotrophic fungus Alternaria sp.显示文摘Chrysanthemum morifolium cv.‘Huaihuang’has ornamental,edible,medicinal,and tea product uses.However,its field growth,yield,and quality are negatively affected by black spot disease caused by Alternaria sp.(Strain:HQJH10092301;GenBank accession number:KF688111).In this study,we transcriptionally and transgenically characterized a new cultivar,‘Huaiju 2#’(Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine Plant Cultivar identification number:2016002),which was bred from‘Huaihuang’and shows resistance to Alternaria sp.Numerous‘Huaiju 2#’plants were inoculated with Alternaria sp.for three or five days.Metabolic analysis showed increases in both salicylic acid(SA)and jasmonic acid(JA)in infected plants compared to the control.Protein activity analysis also revealed a significant increase in defense enzyme activities in infected plants.RNA-Seq of plants infected for 3 or 5 days produced a total of 58.6 GB of clean reads.Among these reads,16,550 and 13,559 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified in Cm_3 dpi(sample from 3 days post-inoculation labeled as Cm_3 dpi)and Cm_5 dpi(sample from 5 days post-inoculation labeled as Cm_5 dpi),respectively,compared with their controls(Cm_0 d:a mixture samples from 0 d(before inoculation)and those treated with sterile distilled water at 3 dpi and 5 dpi).Gene annotation and cluster analysis of the DEGs revealed a variety of defense responses to Alternaria sp.infection,which were characterized by increases in resistance(R)proteins and the reactive oxygen species(ROS),Ca2+,mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),and JA signaling pathways.In particular,SA signaling was highly responsive to Alternaria sp.infection.The qPCR analysis of 12 DEG candidates supported their differential expression characterized by using the RNA-Seq data.One candidate was CmNPR1(nonexpressor of pathogenesis-related gene 1),an important positive regulator of SA in systemic acquired resistance(SAR).Overexpression of CmNPR1 in‘Huaiju 2#’increased the resistance of transgenic plants to black spot.These findings indicate that the SA response pathway is likely involved in the defense of‘Huaiju 2#’against Alternaria sp.pathogens. | Xiting Zhao Lingyu Song Liwei Jiang Yuting Zhu Qinghui Gao Dandan Wang Jing Xie Meng Lv Ping Liu Mingjun Li | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 3 |
| 3 | Curcumin alleviates TGF-β1-induced fibrosis in NRK-49F cells via suppression of miR-21 expression,and regulation of the TGF-β1/smad3 signaling pathway显示文摘Objective:Overexpression of microRNA-21(miR-21)has been well-recognized during fibrosis in a wide range of tissue types through regulation of fibrogenesis via diverse pathways.Curcumin exhibits antifibrotic effects in various organs.We and others have previously demonstrated that curcumin has positive effects on the protection against fibrosis.However,the effect of curcumin on miR-21 expression has not been reported.Methods:In this study,transforming growth factor-b1(TGF-b1)-stimulated rat renal fibroblast cells(NRK-49F)were transfected with miR-21 inhibitors,then the expression of Smad3,a-smooth muscle actin(a-SMA),type I collagen(COL1A1),and type III collagen(COL3A1)was determined using quantitative real-time-PCR(qRT-PCR)and western blot analysis.The effect of curcumin on production of the extracellular matrix was evaluated using immunofluorescence,qRT-PCR,and western blot analysis.Results:TGF-b1 stimulation upregulated the expression of miR-21 and induced fibrogenesis in NRK-49F cells.Transfection with miR-21 inhibitors selectively decreased smad3 activity,and noticeably reduced the expression of a-SMA,COL1A1,and COL3A1.Curcumin treatment significantly inhibited the expressions of smad3,a-SMA,COL1A1,COL3A1,as well as miR-21 expression in NRK-49F cells in a dosedependent manner.Conclusion:Curcumin exerted its anti-fibrotic effects by targeting the TGF-b1/smad3 signaling pathway and suppressing miR-21 expression,thereby provides novel insight in the protective effects of curcumin against fibrosis in various organs. | Lan Zhang Yi Liu Xiting Wang Cheng Li Mengmeng Shen Liming Di Shuangshuang He Yu Li | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1: | 2 |

| 5 | Danlou Fang(丹蒌方)reduces microvascular obstruction through the endothelial/inducible nitric oxide synthase pathway in a rat model显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of the Danlou Fang(DL)Traditional Chinese Medicine formula on microvascular obstruction(no-reflow)through the endothelial/inducible nitric oxide synthase(eNOS/iNOS)pathway in a rat model.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to 60 min of coronary artery occlusion(or sham procedure)followed by 2 h of reperfusion and were then divided into treatment groups:sham,model,DL(500 mg/kg),DL(500 mg/kg)+eNOS inhibitor L-nitroarginine(L-NNA;7.5 mg/kg),and sodium nitroprusside(SNP;0.5 mg/kg).There were 16 per group.Areas of no-reflow were determined by thioflavin S staining of heart tissue.Cardiac function was assessed by echocardiography.Myocardial enzymes and antioxidants in serum were measured and analyzed.The relative protein expression levels of eNOS and iNOS were determined by western blotting.RESULTS:DL had a myocardial protective effect on myocardial reperfusion and reduced the area of no-reflow.The serum levels of creatine kinase(CK),myocardial CK isoenzyme CK-MB,and lactate dehydrogenase were significantly lower in the DL group than in the model(P<0.05).DL treatment also decreased the serum content of malondialdehyde and reactive oxygen species(ROS),increased the activity of superoxide dismutase and nitric oxide,and promoted eNOS expression(P<0.05)while lowering iNOS expression.CONCLUSION:DL reduced the area of no-reflow and had a myocardial protective effect that may be associated with the eNOS/iNOS pathway. | DAI Xiangdong CHEN Rui CHEN Ting YAN Haifeng WANG Yanyan ZHOU Kun ZHANG Xiting WANG Yi | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2: | 1 |

| 7 | Transition of dynamic recrystallization mechanism during hot deformation of Incoloy 028 alloy显示文摘Dynamic recrystallization(DRX)plays significant roles in manipulating of microstructures during hot deformation and the result mechanical properties;however,the underling mechanism leading to multi scale-microstructures remains poorly understood.Here,the DRX mechanism under wide processing conditions(i.e.950-1200°C,0.001-10 s-1)in Incoloy 028 alloy was investigated,where the relationships among flow stress,Z parameter and grain size,as well as the evolution of characteristic microstructures(grain size,sub-grain boundaries,and high angle grain boundaries),are established.As the values of Z parameters decrease(corresponding to decreased flow stresses),three typical softening mechanisms successively occur,ranging from continuous DRX controlled by dislocation glide,discontinuous DRX dominated by dislocation motion(climb and cross/multiple slip)and grain boundary migration,to dynamic normal/abnormal grain growth resulting from grain boundary migration,with transition regions where two adjacent mechanisms occur simultaneously.Correspondingly,these above three softening mechanisms result in ultrafine,fine and coarse grains,respectively.The present findings demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of DRX mechanism over a wide range of processing conditions,and further provide a new guideline for preparing single crystals. | XiTing Zhong Lei Wang LinKe Huang Feng Liu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,7: | 1 |
| 8 | Progress in the “brain-derived neurotrophic factor hypothesis of depression”显示文摘The traditional 'brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) hypothesis of depression' proposes that impairment of the BDNF signaling pathway in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex participates in the pathophysiology of depression,and antidepressants act by recovering/enhancing BDNF signal transduction.Recent studies have suggested that BDNF signaling pathways exert more diverse and complex effects on depression onset and antidepressant therapy than originally thought,which include:(1) inhibition of the BDNF-TrkB signaling pathway in the hippocampus and/or prefrontal cortex does not induce the depression-like behavioral phenotype,but significantly diminishes therapeutic effects,which suggests that the BDNF-TrkB signaling pathway lacks direct or key effects on occurrence of emotional disorders,whereas an intact and normal BDNF-TrkB signaling pathway is necessary for antidepressant therapy.(2) The BDNF-TrkB signaling pathway exhibits opposite regulatory effects on depressive behavior in the hippocampus-prefrontal cortex network and mesolimbic system,which suggests that BDNF regulates emotion by affecting the emotion-related neural network,but not a single brain region.(3) The BDNF-TrkB and proBDNF-p75NTR signaling pathways in the brain,respectively,enhance and suppress hippocampal neural plasticity,which demonstrated that different BDNF signaling pathways interact and restrict each other in the regulation of neural plasticity and emotional behaviors.(4) BDNF gene polymorphism might be associated with susceptibility to depression.These new findings extend our understanding of neuronal pathways and mechanisms of action of BDNF signaling and contribute to improved views to traditional 'neurotrophic factor hypothesis of depression'. | Xiaomin Luo Feng Shao Xiting Guan Xi Xie Weiwen Wang | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,23: | 1 |

| 11 | Effect of Zn content on microstructure,mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of extruded Mg-Zn-Ca-Mn alloys显示文摘Mg-Zn-Ca-Mn series alloys are developed as promising candidates of 5G communication devices with excellent thermal conductivities,great ductility,and acceptable strength.In present paper,Mg-x Zn-0.4Ca-0.2Mn(x=2wt%,4wt%,6wt%)alloys were prepared by a near-solidus extrusion and the effect of Zn content on mechanical and thermal properties were investigated.The results showed that the addition of minor Ca led to the formation of Ca_(2)Mg_(6)Zn_(3) eutectic phase at grain boundaries.A type of bimodal microstructure occurred in the as-extruded alloys,where elongated coarse deformed grains were embedded in refined recrystallized grains matrix.Correspondingly,both yield strength and ductility of the alloys were significantly enhanced after extrusion due to the great grain refinement.Specially,higher Zn content led to the increment in yield strength and a slight reduction in elongation due to the larger fractions of second phase particles.The room temperature thermal conductivity of as-extruded alloys was also improved compared with that of as-cast counterparts.The increment of Zn content decreased the thermal conductivity of both as-cast and as-extruded alloys,which was due to the increased second phase fraction and solution atoms in the matrix,that hindering the motion of electrons.The as-extruded Mg-2Zn-0.4Ca-0.2Mn(wt%)alloy exhibited the highest elongation of 27.7% and thermal conductivity of 139.2 W/(m·K),combined with an acceptable ultimate tensile strength of 244.0 MPa.The present paper provides scientific guidance for the preparation of lightweight materials with high ductility and high thermal conductivity. | Bei Tang Jinlong Fu Jingkai Feng Xiting Zhong Yangyang Guo Haili Wang | 2023 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,12: | 0 |

[Method]With previously acquired TAV-free test-tube plantlets of‘Huaibai'as the experimental materials and its ordinary test-tube plantlets as the control(CK),chlorophyll content and some indexes related to nitrogen metabolism in leaves were determined during subculture.[Result]During subculture,the contents of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b in leaves of CK and TAV-free‘Huaibai'test-tube plantlets increased with the subculture days. Both realized the largest increase at the 22^(th) day of subculture,and their increase amplitudes were 5. 24% and 41. 69%,respectively. Compared with CK,the chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b contents of TAV-free test-tube plantlets increased at the same time point of subculture,with significant difference(P < 0. 05) or extremely significant difference(P<0. 01). | 14 | Ex utero intrapartum therapy in infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia:a propensity score matching analysis显示文摘Objective Previous studies have shown that ex utero intrapartum therapy(EXIT)is safe and feasible for newborns with congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH).This study reports our experience with EXIT in fetuses with CDH in an attempt to explore the efficacy of EXIT on the survival rate of this population.Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 116 children with CDH was conducted.The children were assigned to EXIT and non-EXIT groups.Propensity score matching(PSM)toward clinical data was performed,and the clinical characteristics and outcomes were compared.Taking survival at discharge as the main outcome,logistic regression analysis was carried out to explore the efficacy of EXIT on survival.Results During the study period,30 of 116 children received EXIT.After PSM,the survival rates of the EXIT group and the non-EXIT group were 82.76%(24/29)and 48.28%(14/29),respectively(p=0.006).EXIT(OR=0.083,95%CI=0.013to 0.525,p=0.008),liver herniation(OR=16.955,95%CI=2.342 to 122.767,p=0.005),and gestational age at diagnosis(OR=0.662,95%CI=0.497 to 0.881,p=0.005)were independent mortality-related risk factors of all children with CDH.Ninety-nine of 116 children underwent surgery.After PSM,the postoperative survival rates of the EXIT group and non-EXIT group were 84.6%(22/26)and 76.9%(20/26),respectively(p=0.754).Liver herniation(OR=10.451,95%CI=1.641 to 66.544,p=0.013)and gestational age at diagnosis(OR=0.736,95%CI=0.577 to 0.938,p=0.013)were independent mortality-related risk factors of children after surgery.Conclusion EXIT can be performed safely for selected prenatally diagnosed CDH neonates with potentially better survival and does not cause more maternal complications compared with traditional cesarean section. | Yunlong Zhao Ying Wang Chao Liu Yulin Jiang Yandong Wei Hua Meng Shan Jian Xiting Zhu Lijian Pei Xiaochen Bai Feng Feng Yan Lv Xiya Zhou Qingwei Qi Jingna Li Lishuang Ma | 2022 | World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2022,5,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Network Pharmacology-based Strategy for Predicting Active Ingredients and Potential Targets of Cuscutae semen and Lycii fructus in Spermatogenic Dysfunction显示文摘Background:Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)Cuscutae semen(SC,Tusizi from Cuscuta chinensis Lam.)and Lycii fructus(FL,Gouqi from Lycium barbarum L.),are also used as a herb pair(SC-FL)to treat various ailments,including spermatogenic dysfunction(SD),a disease responsible for low fertility in males.Objective:Herein,we will further determine the bioactive components,component targets and partial molecular mechanisms of the herb pair for the treatment of SD.Methods:We employed the traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database in combination with Ultra high performance liquid chromatography(UHPLC)analysis to analyze the active ingredients of the SC-FL herbal pair and explore its possible targets and underlying mechanism in treatment of spermatogenic dysfunction(SD).Moreover,we used a Sprague-Dawley rat model,generated by using glucosides of Tripterygium wilfordii(GTW),to evaluate the effect of SC-FL and the underlying mechanism on SD and reliability of certain key targets and pathways obtained from the pharmacology analysis.Results:We identified 56 active ingredients in SC-LF affecting 41 overlapping gene signals that influenced SD treatment outcomes.262 Gene Ontology(GO)terms and 170 pathways were yielded under analyses of Gene Ontology,Kyoto Encyclopedia of Gene and Genome pathway from which we predicted that cell proliferation and apoptosis were the primary biological processes(BP)involved in the treatment of SD by SC-LF.The results showed that SC-FL treatment significantly improved the testicular organ coefficient along with sperm count and motility,while reduced testicular damage and testicular tissue cell apoptosis in SD model.Mechanistically,SC-FL significantly upregulated the expression levels of anti-apoptotic proteins AR and BCL2 and downregulated those of pro-apoptotic proteins BAD,BAX,cleaved caspase 3,and CASP3.Conclusion:Collectively,these results indicated that SC-FL elicited a protective effect by potentially regulating apoptosis,thus suggesting that it will represent an effective reagent for male infertility. | Jianxiong Ma Siqi Guan Yutian Zhu Lei Dong Xiting Wang Wangqiang Chen Caifei Ding Bodong Lv Hongxuan Tong | 2022 | Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology2022,2,4: | 0 |
| 18 | Organic Carbon Deposition on the Inner Shelf of the East China Sea Constrained by Sea Level and Climatic Changes Since the Last Deglaciation显示文摘The East China Sea(ECS),which is located in the transitional zone between land and ocean,is the main site for the burial of sedimentary organic carbon.Despite good constraints of the modern source to the sinking process of organic carbon,its fate in response to changes in climate and sea level since the last deglaciation remains poorly understood.We aim to fill this gap by presenting a high-resolution sedimentary record of core EC2005 to derive a better understanding of the evolution of the depositional environment and its control on the organic deposition since 17.3 kyr.Our results suggest that sedimentary organic carbon was deposited in a terrestrial environment before the seawater reached the study area around 13.1 kyr.This significant transition from a terrestrial environment to a marine environment is reflected by the decrease in TOC/TN and TOC/TS ratios,which is attributed to deglacial sea level rise.The sea level continued to rise until it reached its highstand at approximately 7.3 kyr when the mud depocenter was developed.Our results further indicate that the deposition of the sedimentary organic carbon could respond quickly to abrupt cold events,including the Heinrich stadial 1 and the Younger Dryas during the last deglaciation,as well as‘Bond events'during the Holocene.We propose that the rapid response of the organic deposition to those cold events in the northern hemisphere is linked to the East Asian winter monsoon.These new findings demonstrate that organic carbon deposition and burial on the inner shelf could effectively document sea level and climatic changes. | ZHANG Mingyu LIU Xiting XU Fangjian LI Anchun GU Yu CHANG Xin ZHUANG Guangchao ZHANG Kaidi BI Naishuang WANG Houjie | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,5: | 0 |
| 19 | Coupled δ^(15)N_(TN) and δ^(13)C_(TOC) Insights into Methane Seepage Activities in Bulk Marine Sediments of the Qiongdongnan Basin, South China Sea显示文摘Recently,methane seepage related to the dissociation of natural gas hydrates has attracted much attention,which has a significant impact on the study of the global carbon and nitrogen cycles.Based on the detailed geochemical analyses of sediments(core Q6)from the Qiongdongnan Basin,South China Sea,three methane seepage activities were identified and the exact horizons of anaerobic oxidation of methane(AOM)were defined.Furthermore,organic carbon isotopic(δ^(13)C_(TOC))levels ranged from−23.6‰–−20.6‰PDB;nitrogen isotopes(δ^(15)N_(TN))of the same sedimentary samples ranged from 1.8‰–5.3‰.We also found obvious simultaneous negative excursions of organic carbon isotopes(δ^(13)C_(TOC))and nitrogen isotopes(δ^(15)N_(TN))in the horizons of methane seepages.Compared with the normal sediments,their maximum negative excursions were 2.6‰and 2.5‰,respectively.We discuss in detail the various characteristics ofδ^(15)N_(TN) andδ^(13)C_(TOC) levels in sediments and their coupling responses to methane seepage activities.We believe that the methane seepage events changed the evolution trajectory ofδ^(15)N_(TN) andδ^(13)C_(TOC) levels in sediment records,which resulted in the simultaneous negative excursions.This phenomenon is of great significance to reveal the historical dissociation of natural gas hydrates and their influence on the deep-sea carbon and nitrogen pool. | MIAO Xiaoming FENG Xiuli HU Limin LI Jingrui LIU Xiting WANG Nan XIAO Qianwen WEI Jiangong | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,6: | 0 |
