2Peripheral Lymphocyte Subsets as a Marker of Parkinson's Disease in a Chinese Population显示文摘In this study, we conducted a clinical analysis of lymphocyte subtypes in 268 patients with Parkinson's disease(PD) to assess their clinical impact as a potential marker of advanced PD in Chinese patients. The participants comprised 268 sporadic PD patients and 268 healthy controls. The numbers of natural killer(NK) cells and CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, and CD19+ lymphocytes from peripheral blood were determined by immunostaining and flow cytometric analysis and the percentages of these CD+ T cells were calculated. The ratio of regulatory T(Treg)/helper T 17(Th17) lymphocytes from 64 PD patients and 46 controls was determined by flow cytometric analysis.The results showed that the percentage of NK cells was higher in advanced PD patients than in controls(22.92% ±10.08% versus 19.76% ± 10.09%, P = 0.006), while CD3+ T cells are decreased(62.93% ± 9.27% versus65.75% ± 9.13%, P = 0.005). The percentage of CD19+B cells in male patients was lower(P = 0.021) than in female patients, whereas NK cells were increased(P \ 0.0001). The scores on the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS) and the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale in late-onset PD patients were significantly higher than those in earlyonset patients(P = 0.024 and P = 0.007, respectively). The percentage of CD19+ B cells in patients with UPDRS scores[24 was lower than in those with scores \24(10.17% ±4.19% versus 12.22% ± 5.39%, P = 0.009). In addition, the Treg/Th17 ratio in female patients was higher than that in female controls(13.88 ± 6.32 versus 9.94 ± 4.06, P =0.042). 3A D-optimal Multi-position Calibration Method for Dynamically Tuned Gyroscopes显示文摘This paper presents a novel experimental design to greatly improve the calibration accuracy of the acceleration-insensitive bias and the acceleration-sensitive bias of the dynamically tuned gyroscopes(DTGs).In order to reduce experimental cost,the D-optimal criteria with constraints are constructed.The turntable positions and the number of test points are chosen to build D-optimal experimental designs.The D-optimal experimental designs are tested by multi-position calibration experiment for tactical-grade DTGs.Test results show that,with the same cost,the fit uncertainty is reduced by about 50% by using the D-optimal 8-position experimental procedure,compared to using a defacto standard experimental procedure in ANSI/IEEE Std 813-1988.Furthermore,the new experimental procedure almost achieves optimal accuracy with only 12-position which is half the cost of the widely adopted 24-position experimental procedure for achieving optimal accuracy.FU Li ZHU Yongquan WANG Lingling WANG Xinling 2011Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2011,24,2:5

5Characteristics of ultrafine particles emitted from a dimethyl ether (DME) engine显示文摘Measurements of exhaust particle number concentration and size distribution from a dimethyl ether (DME) engine at different engine loads and speeds were carried out by using a two-stage dilution sys- tem and an SMPS. The results of the DME engine were compared with those of the original diesel en- gine. The fuel composition had significant effects on the exhaust particle size distribution, the total exhaust particle number and mass concentrations. Compared with those of the DME engine, the parti- cle mass emissions of the diesel engine increased 5.7-17.7 times. At high engine speed (n=2200 r/min), compared with those of the DME engine, the total particle number emissions of the diesel engine in- creased 0.75-2.2 times, while the total particle number emissions of the diesel engine decreased by about 50%-80% for middle and high loads at middle engine speed (n=1400 r/min). Compared with those of the DME engine, the total exhaust particle number concentrations in the accumulation mode of the diesel engine increased 4.2-62.6 times and the exhaust particle geometric number mean diameters in the accumulation mode increased by about 10-30 nm. This correlated with higher oxygen level and lack of C-C bonds in DME. 6The diagnostic value of tumor abnormal protein and high sensitivity C reactive protein in screening for endometrial cancer with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm显示文摘Objective This study aimed to combine tumor abnormal protein(TAP) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) level detection to diagnose endometrial cancer in patients with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm, and to provide a reference for clinical screening and diagnosis. Methods Clinical data from 19 cases of endometrial cancer, diagnosed on the basis of pathological findings, were collected from September 2014 to December 2015. The inclusion criteria were as follows: the patients were first diagnosed with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm and were all in menopause. Perimenopausal patients(n = 26) with uterine fibroids seen during the same period were selected as a control group. Serum TAP and hs-CRP levels of the patients in the two groups were simultaneously determined on admission. Results We found that both TAP and hs-CRP levels in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group [(182.95 ± 72.14) μm^2 vs.(133.19 ± 55.18) μm^2, P = 0.019;(7.52 ± 19.03) mg/L vs.(1.66 ± 2.31) mg/L, P = 0.136]. The sensitivity of TAP for the diagnosis of endometrial cancer was 73.68%, the specificity was 69.23%, and the Youden index was 0.4291. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of hs-CRP was 15.79% and 100%, respectively, and the Youden index was 0.1579. After plotting the receiver operating characteristics curves, the optimal cut-off value for TAP in diagnosing endometrial cancer was found to be 160.662 μm^2 and that for hs-CRP was 1.07 mg/L. 8Exploring the N-terminus region: Synthesis, bioactivity and 3D-QSAR of allatostatin analogs as novel insect growth regulators显示文摘Allatostatins(ASTs), a family of insect neuropeptide, can inhibit juvenile hormone(JH) biosynthesis by the corpora allata(CA) in Diploptera punctata, and therefore be regarded as potential leads for the discovery of new insect growth regulators(IGRs). But several shortcomings, such as their sensitivity to peptidases and high cost, impeded their practical application in pest management. In order to discover new IGRs, one AST analog B1 possessing non-peptide group was discovered with high ability to inhibit JH biosynthesis in vitro(IC_(50): 0.09 mmol/L) in our previous studies. In the present work, two series of B1 analogs with different substituents on the N-terminus region were designed and synthesized. The result suggested that benzene showed better activity than other heterocycles, and the para-substitution on the benzene was beneficial for activity. Moreover, analogs with log P value over 2.0 exhibited good activity,which indicated the hydrophobicity is important to the bioactivity. Three dimension quantitative structure-activity relationship(3D-QSAR) studies were performed to highlight the structural requirements of AST analogs, which demonstrated introduction of bulkier substituents on the N-terminus would increase the activity. Analog Ⅱ12(IC_(50): 0.08 mmol/L) exhibited similar inhibitory activity to the lead B1,but its synthetic route was simpler than B1. 11A chromosome-scale genome assembly of Artemisia argyi reveals unbiased subgenome evolution and key contributions of gene duplication to volatile terpenoid diversity显示文摘Artemisia argyi Le´vl.et Vant.,a perennial Artemisia herb with an intense fragrance,is widely used in traditional medicine in China and many other Asian countries.Here,we present a chromosome-scale genome assembly of A.argyi comprising 3.89 Gb assembled into 17 pseudochromosomes.Phylogenetic and comparative genomic analyses revealed that A.argyi underwent a recent lineage-specificwhole-genomeduplication(WGD)event after divergence fromArtemisia annua,resulting in two subgenomes.Wedeciphered the diploid ancestral genome of A.argyi,and unbiased subgenome evolution was observed.The recent WGD led to a large number of duplicated genes in the A.argyi genome.Expansion of the terpene synthase(TPS)gene family through various types of gene duplication may have greatly contributed to the diversity of volatile terpenoids in A.argyi.In particular,we identified a typical germacrene D synthase gene cluster within the expanded TPS gene family.The entire biosynthetic pathways of germacrenes,(+)-borneol,and(+)-camphor were elucidated in A.argyi.In addition,partial deletion of the amorpha-4,11-diene synthase(ADS)gene and loss of function of ADS homologs may have resulted in the lack of artemisinin production in A.argyi.Our study provides newinsights into the genome evolution of Artemisia and lays a foundation for further improvement of the quality of this important medicinal plant.Hongyu Chen Miaoxian Guo Shuting Dong Xinling Wu Guobin Zhang Liu He Yuannian Jiao Shilin Chen Li Li Hongmei Luo 2023Plant Communications2023,4,3:2
12A Novel Training Sequence Applied to DCS-Based Channel Estimation显示文摘Studies have indicated that the distributed compressed sensing based(DCSbased) channel estimation can decrease the length of the reference signals effectively. In block transmission, a unique word(UW) can be used as a cyclic prefix and reference signal. However, the DCS-based channel estimation requires diversity sequences instead of UW. In this paper, we proposed a novel method that employs a training sequence(TS) whose duration time is slightly longer than the maximum delay spread time. Based on proposed TS, the DCS approach perform perfectly in multipath channel estimation. Meanwhile, a cyclic prefix construct could be formed, which reduces the complexity of the frequency domain equalization(FDE) directly. 13Formation and transformation of volatile nanoparticles from a diesel engine during exhaust dilution显示文摘A classic H 2 SO 4-H 2 O binary homogeneous nucleation model coupled to an aerosol dynamics model,suitable for studying the formation and transformation of volatile nanoparticles (VNPs) during diesel engine exhaust dilution,has been developed.Using the H 2 SO 4-H 2 O binary homogeneous nucleation model,the nucleation ratio and molecular cluster size were calculated.The effect of aerosol dynamic processes on VNP number size distributions was studied.The effects of fuel sulfur content (FSC) and sampling conditions in the laboratory on VNP number size distributions were also calculated.Our simulations demonstrated that nucleation increased the cluster number concentration and that FSC,temperature and humidity significantly affected the nucleation ratio and molecular cluster size.Coagulation promoted the evolution of cluster-particle size distributions from monodisperse to polydisperse.Soot present in the exhaust can suppress the formation of VNPs.FSC and sampling conditions,like the primary dilution temperature,the primary dilution relative humidity,residence time and the primary dilution ratio have significant effects on VNP number size distributions.LI XinLing HUANG Zhen 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,8:2

15Experimental study on impacts of fuel type on thermo-acoustic instability in a gas turbine model combustor显示文摘Effects of liquid fuel composition variations on characteristics of self-excited thermo-acoustic instabilities in a lean premixed,pre-vaporized gas turbine model combustor were experimentally studied.Test fuels included practical RP-3 jet fuel and its blending with iso-octane and n-dodecane,which were branched and linear alkanes respectively.Under the test conditions,dynamic pressure measurements indicated that the dominant instability frequency was highest for RP-3 flame,while RP-3/ndodecane flame exhibited the strongest instability strength.A further analysis showed that the instability frequency correlated well with the profiles of adiabatic flame temperature,and the strength of the instability highly depended on the ignition delay times of the fuels.Measurements of the flame structure and flow field with OH*chemiluminescence (CL) imaging and twodimensional particle image velocimetry (PIV) techniques indicated that changes in the fuel composition did not alter the unstable modes and general sequences of flame-flow structure oscillations.Further power spectra and proper orthogonal decomposition(POD) analysis suggested that axial oscillations along with precessing vortex core (PVC) induced helical motion predominated periodic flame structure and flow field oscillations.RUAN Can CHEN FeiEr YU Tao CAI WeiWei HE ZhuoYao MAO YeBing LI XinLing LU XingCai 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,6:1
