1Electron force-induced dislocations annihilation and regeneration of a superalloy through electrical in-situ transmission electron microscopy observations显示文摘What effect does electric current do on dislocation evolution of metals keeps being a confusing question to be answered and proved. To this end, the dislocation evolution of a superalloy with electric current was directly observed by electrical in-situ transmission electron microscopy in this work. Dislocations annihilation at first and then regeneration was found for the first time, which directly proves the existence of electron force during the electrically-assisted manufacturing. Dislocations regeneration would be driven by the electron force and the resistance softening by the local Joule heating effect. 3Magnetic properties and thermal stability of anisotropic bonded Nd-Fe-B magnets by warm compaction显示文摘Anisotropic bonded magnets were prepared by warm compaction using anisotropic Nd-Fe-B powder. The forming process, magnetic properties, and temperature stability were studied. The results indicate that the optimal temperature of the process, which was decided by the vis-cosity of the binders, was 110°C. With increasing pressure, the density of the magnets increased. When the pressure was above 700 MPa, the powder particles were destroyed and the magnetic properties decreased. The magnetic properties of the anisotropic bonded magnets were as follows: remanence Br=0.98 T, intrinsic coercivity iHc=1361 kA/m, and maximum energy product BHmax=166 kJ/m3. The magnets had excellent thermal stability because of the high coercivity and good squareness of demagnetization curves. The flux density of the magnets was 35% higher than that of isotropic bonded Nd-Fe-B magnets at 120°C for 1000 h. 12Photoluminescence properties of ultrathin CsPbCl_3 nanowires on mica substrate显示文摘Fabricating high-quality cesium lead chloride(CsPbCl_3) perovskite nanowires(NWs) with dimension below 10 nm is not only of interests in fundamental physics, but also holds the great promise for optoelectronic applications. Herein, ultrathin CsPbCl_3 NWs with height of ~7 nm, have been achieved via vapor phase deposition method. Power and temperature-dependent photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy is performed to explore the emission properties of the CsPbCl_3 NWs. Strong free exciton recombination is observed at ~3.02 eV as the temperature(T) is 78-294 K with binding energy of ~ 37.5 meV. With the decreasing of T, the PL peaks exhibit a first blueshift by 2 meV for T ~ 294-190 K and then a redshift by 4 meV for T ~ 190-78 K. The exciton–optical phonon interaction plays a major role in the linewidth broadening of the PL spectra with average optical phonon energy of ~48.0 meV and the interaction coefficient of 203.9 meV. 14UV Spectral Analysis of the Chemical Modification and Photolysis of Acetylacetone Modified Alumina Aqueous Solution显示文摘Acetylacetone was firstly introduced into the aqueous media with the presence of aluminum sec-butoxide and peptizator. It was confirmed that the UV (ultraviolet) absorption band of acetylacetone underwent 14 nm of red-shift due to the formation of the six-membered ring of the complex between alumina and acetylacetone in the aqueous solution. 15Effects of drip irrigation and cropping on soil salinity,ionic composition and waxy corn production in a severely saline and calcareous and gypsiferous soil显示文摘Drip technologies have been suggested as practical for irrigation under conditions of high salinity and for reclamation of saline soils.Drip irrigation triggered by soil water potential thresholds was applied to both reclaim a severely saline calcareous gypsiferous soil and irrigate a waxy corn crop(Zea mays L.sinesis Kulesh).However,there is a lack of knowledge on the sustainability of reclamation of saline soils with drip irrigation and the changes in soil salinity and salt ion composition during the amelioration process.Therefore,effects on soil salinity,its ionic composition,and on crop growth and yields were evaluated in an experiment conducted in the Yinchuan Plain,northwest China.Treatments included fields in their first to fourth years of the drip irrigation reclamation-cropping scheme and adjacent native,non-cropped or irrigated salinesodic land as control.Yield of waxy corn increased and days of growth to maturity decreased as a function of time and reclamation management.The improvement in crop performance could be largely credited to the reduction of soil salinity and changes in salt composition under the drip-irrigated reclamation protocols.The drip irrigation regime created a region of low salinity proximal to the emitters conducive to germination and plant growth.Deleterious ions for crop growth such as Na+and Cl^(-)were reduced while Ca2+and Mg2+concentration increased,especially in the upper 40 cm of soil.After only a single season of drip-irrigated waxy corn production,both Cl-SO_(4)^(2-)ratios and sodium adsorption ratio(SAR)decreased dramatically.The results suggested that drip irrigation is an effective technology for reclamation of severely saline-affected soils,such as those widely distributed over the Ningxia Plain in China and that this or similar reclamation strategy could be appropriate for reclamation of other hard to manage calcareous and gypsiferous soils.Junli Tan Yaohu Kang Yanping Jiao Shuqin Wan Xina Wang Juncang Tian Ran Erel Alon Ben-Gal 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,5:0

17Replacing dietary sodium selenite with biogenic selenium nanoparticles improves the growth performance and gut health of early-weaned piglets显示文摘Selenium nanoparticles(SeNPs)are proposed as a safer and more effective selenium delivery system than sodium selenite(Na_(2)SeO_(3)).Here,we investigated the effects of replacing dietary Na_(2)SeO_(3)with SeNPs synthesized by Lactobacillus casei ATCC 393 on the growth performance and gut health of earlyweaned piglets.Seventy-two piglets(Duroc×Landrace×Large Yorkshire)weaned at 21 d of age were divided into the control group(basal diet containing 0.3 mg Se/kg from Na_(2)SeO_(3))and SeNPs group(basal diet containing 0.3 mg Se/kg from SeNPs)during a 14-d feeding period.The results revealed that SeNPs supplementation increased the average daily gain(P=0.022)and average daily feed intake(P=0.033),reduced(P=0.056)the diarrhea incidence,and improved(P=0.013)the feed conversion ratio compared with Na_(2)SeO_(3).Additionally,SeNPs increased jejunal microvilli height(P=0.006)and alleviated the intestinal barrier dysfunction by upregulating(P<0.05)the expression levels of mucin 2 and tight junction proteins,increasing(P<0.05)Se availability,and maintaining mitochondrial structure and function,thereby improving antioxidant capacity and immunity.Furthermore,metabolomics showed that SeNPs can regulate lipid metabolism and participate in the synthesis,secretion and action of parathyroid hormone,proximal tubule bicarbonate reclamation and tricarboxylic acid cycle.Moreover,SeNPs increased(P<0.05)the abundance of Holdemanella and the levels of acetate and propionate.Correlation analysis suggested that Holdemanella was closely associated with the regulatory effects of SeNPs on early-weaned piglets through participating in lipid metabolism.Overall,replacing dietary Na_(2)SeO_(3)with biogenic SeNPs could be a potential nutritional intervention strategy to prevent earlyweaning syndrome in piglets.Lei Qiao Xina Dou Xiaofan Song Jiajing Chang Xiaonan Zeng Lixu Zhu Hongbo Yi Chunlan Xu 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
18Targeting mitochondria with antioxidant nutrients for the prevention and treatment of postweaning diarrhea in piglets显示文摘Post-weaning diarrhea(PWD)in piglets poses a significant challenge and presents a grave threat to the global swine industry,resulting in considerable financial losses and compromising the welfare of animals.PWD is commonly associated with gut homeostatic imbalance,including oxidative stress,excessive inflammation,and microbiota dysbiosis.Antibiotic use has historically been a common initiative to combat PWD,but concerns about the development of antibiotic resistance have led to increased interest in alternative strategies.Mitochondria are key players in maintaining cellular homeostasis,and their dysfunction is intricately linked to the onset and progression of PWD.Accumulating evidence suggests that targeting mitochondrial function using antioxidant nutrients,such as vitamins,minerals and polyphenolic compounds,may represent a promising approach for preventing and treating PWD.Moreover,nutrients based on antioxidant strategies have been shown to improve mitochondrial function,restore intestinal redox balance,and reduce oxidative damage,which is a key driver of PWD.The present review begins with an overview of the potential interplay between mitochondria and gut homeostasis in the pathogenesis of PWD in piglets.Subsequently,alternative strategies to prevent and treat PWD using antioxidant nutrients to target mitochondria are described and discussed.Ultimately,we delve into potential limitations and suggest future research directions in this field for further advancement.Overall,targeting mitochondria using antioxidant nutrients may be a promising approach to combat PWD and provides a potential nutrition intervention strategy for regulating gut homeostasis of weaned piglets.Lei Qiao Xina Dou Xiaofan Song Jiajing Chang Hongbo Yi Chunlan Xu 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
