Chinmedomics facilitated quality-marker discovery of Sijunzi decoction to treat spleen qi deficiency syndrome显示文摘Sijunzi decoction (SJZD) is a Chinese classical formula to treat spleen qi deficiency syndrome (SQDS) and has been widely used for thousands of years. However, the quality control (QC) standards of SJZD are insufficient.Chinmedomics has been designed to discover and verify bioactive compounds of a variety of formularapidly. In this study,we used Chinmedomics to evaluate the SJZD's efficacy against SQDS to discover the potential quality-markers (q-markers) for QC.A total of 56 compounds in SJZD were characterized in vitro, and 23 compounds were discovered in vivo.A total of 58 biomarkers were related to SQDS,and SJZD can adjust a large proportion of marker metabolites to normal level and then regulate the metabolic profile to the health status.A total of 10 constituents were absorbed as effective ingredients that were associated with overall efficacy. We preliminarily determined malonyl-ginsenoside Rb2 and ginsenoside Ro as the q-markers of ginseng;dehydrotumulosic acid and dihydroxy lanostene-triene-21-acid as the q-markers of poria;glycyrrhizic acid, isoglabrolide, and glycyrrhetnic acid as the q-markers of licorice;and 2-atractylenolide as the q-marker of macrocephala.According to the discovery of the SJZD q-markers,we can establish the quality standard that is related to efficacy. | Qiqi Zhao Xin Gao Guangli Yan Aihua Zhang Hui Sun Ying Han Wenxiu Li Liang Liu Xijun Wang | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3: | 7
Traffic Characteristics Based Dynamic Radio Resource Management in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks显示文摘The traffic with tidal phenomenon in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks(HWNs)has radically increased the complexity of radio resource management and its performance analysis. In this paper,a Simplified Dynamic Hierarchy Resource Management(SDHRM)algorithm exploiting the resources dynamically and intelligently is proposed with the consideration of tidal traffic. In network-level resource allocation, the proposed algorithm first adopts wavelet neural network to forecast the traffic of each sub-area and then allocates the resources to those sub-areas to maximise the network utility. In connection-level network selection, based on the above resource allocation and the pre-defined QoS requirement, three typical network selection policies are provided to assign traffic flow to the most appropriate network.Furthermore, based on multidimensional Markov model,we analyse the performance of SDHRM in HWNs with heavy tailed traffic.Numerical results show that our theoretical values coincide with the simulation results and the SDHRM can improve the resource utilization. | WEN Juan SHENG Min ZHANG Yan WANG Xijun LI Yuzhou | 2014 | China Communications2014,11,1: | 4
Fabrication of copper nanorods by low-temperature metal organic chemical vapor deposition显示文摘Copper nanorods have been synthe-sized in mesoporous SBA-15 by a low-temperature metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) employing copper (II) acetylacetonate, Cu(acac)2, and hydrogen as a precursor and reactant gas, re- spectively. The hydrogen plays an important role in chemical reduction of oganometallic precursor which enhances mass transfer in the interior of the SBA-15 porous substrate. Such copper nanostructures are of great potentials in the semiconductor due to their unusual optical, magnetic and electronic properties. In addition, it has been found that chemically modi- fying the substrate surface by carbon deposition is crucial to such synthesis of copper nanostructures in the interior of the SBA-15, which is able to change the surface properties of SBA-15 from hydrophilic to hydrophobic to promote the adsorption of organic cupric precursor. It has also been found that the copper nanoparticles deposited on the external sur- face are almost eliminated and the copper nanorods are more distinct while the product was treated with ammonia. This approach could be achieved under a mild condition: a low temperature (400℃) and vac-uum (2 kPa) which is extremely milder than the con- ventional method. It actually sounds as a foundation which is the first time to synthesize a copper nanorod at a mild condition of a low reaction temperature and pressure. | ZHANG Ying Frank Leung-Yuk Lam HU Xijun YAN Zifeng | 2006 | Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,21: | 3
Compound Danshen Dripping Pill inhibits hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure in ApoE and LDLR dual deficient mice via multiple mechanisms显示文摘Heart failure is the leading cause of death worldwide.Compound Danshen Dripping Pill(CDDP)or CDDP combined with simvastatin has been widely used to treat patients with myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases in China. However, the effect of CDDP on hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure is unknown. We constructed a new model of heart failure induced by hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E(ApoE)and LDL receptor(LDLR)dual deficient(ApoE^(–/–)LDLR^(–/–))mice and investigated the effect of CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin on the heart failure.CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin inhibited heart injury by multiple actions including anti-myocardial dysfunction and anti-fibrosis.Mechanistically,both Wnt and lysine-specific demethylase 4A(KDM4A)pathways were significantly activated in mice with heart injury.Conversely,CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin inhibited Wnt pathway by markedly up-regulating expression of Wnt inhibitors. While the anti-inflammation and anti-oxidative stress by CDDP were achieved by inhibiting KDM4A expression and activity. In addition,CDDP attenuated simvastatin-induced myolysis in skeletal muscle.Taken together, our study suggests that CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin can be an effective therapy to reduce hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure. | Yanfang Yang Ke Feng Liying Yuan Yuxin Liu Mengying Zhang Kaimin Guo Zequn Yin Wenjia Wang Shuiping Zhou He Sun Kaijing Yan Xijun Yan Xuerui Wang Yajun Duan Yunhui Hu Jihong Han | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,3: | 2

Single‐atomic Co‐B_(2)N_(2)sites anchored on carbon nanotube arrays promote lithium polysulfide conversion in lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Due to low cost, high capacity, and high energy density, lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries have attracted much attention;however, their cycling performance was largely limited by the poor redox kinetics and low sulfur utilization.Herein, predicted by density functional theory calculations, single‐atomic Co‐B2N2 site‐imbedded boron and nitrogen co‐doped carbon nanotubes(SA‐Co/BNC)were designed to accomplish high sulfur loading, fast kinetic, and long service period Li–S batteries.Experiments proved that Co‐B2N2 atomic sites can effectively catalyze lithium polysulfide conversion. Therefore, the electrodes delivered a specific capacity of 1106 mAh g−1 at 0.2 C after 100 cycles and exhibited an outstanding cycle performance over 1000 cycles at 1 C with a decay rate of 0.032%per cycle. Our study offers a new strategy to couple the combined effect of nanocarriers and single‐atomic catalysts in novel coordination environments for high‐performance Li–S batteries. | Zhifeng Wang Yajing Yan Yongguang Zhang Yanxu Chen Xianyun Peng Xin Wang Weimin Zhao Chunling Qin Qian Liu Xijun Liu Zhongwei Chen | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,11: | 1

Single-Cell Microwell Platform Reveals Circulating Neural Cells as a Clinical Indicator for Patients with Blood-Brain Barrier Breakdown显示文摘Central nervous system diseases commonly occur with the destruction of the blood-brain barrier. As a primary cause of morbidity and mortality, stroke remains unpredictable and lacks cellular biomarkers that accurately quantify its occurrence and development. Here,we identify NeuN^(+)/CD45^(−)/DAPI^(+)phenotype nonblood cells in the peripheral blood of mice subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)and stroke patients.Since NeuN is a specific marker of neural cells,we term these newly identified cells as circulating neural cells(CNCs).We find that the enumeration of CNCs in the blood is significantly associated with the severity of brain damage in MCAO mice(p<0:05).Meanwhile,the number of CNCs is significantly higher in stroke patients than in negative subjects(p<0:0001).These findings suggest that the amount of CNCs in circulation may serve as a clinical indicator for the real-time prognosis and progression monitor of the occurrence and development of ischemic stroke and other nervous system disease. | Yu Zhang Antony R.Warden Khan Zara Ahmad Yanlei Liu Xijun He Minqiao Zheng Xinlong Huo Xiao Zhi Yuqing Ke Hongxia Li Sijia Yan Wenqiong Su Deng Cai Xianting Ding | 2021 | Research2021,,1: | 0
Efficient link scheduling with joint power control and successive interference cancellation in wireless networks显示文摘Existing works have addressed the interference mitigation by any two of the three approaches: link scheduling, power control, and successive interference cancellation(SIC). In this paper, we integrate the above approaches to further improve the spectral efficiency of the wireless networks and consider the max-min fairness to guarantee the transmission demand of the worst-case link. We formulate the link scheduling with joint power control and SIC(PCSIC) problem as a mixed-integer non-linear programming(MINLP), which has been proven to be NP-complete. Consequently, we propose an iterative algorithm to tackle the problem by decomposing it into a series of linear subproblems, and then the analysis shows that the algorithm has high complexity in the worst case. In order to reduce the computational complexity, we have further devised a two-stage algorithm with polynomial-time complexity. Numerical results show the performance improvements of our proposed algorithms in terms of the network throughput and power consumption compared with the link scheduling scheme only with SIC. | Xuan LI Yan SHI Xijun WANG Chao XU Min SHENG | 2016 | Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,12: | 0
Bioluminescence imaging of mouse monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 expression in inflammatory processes显示文摘Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)plays a crucial role in various inflammatory diseases. To reveal the impact of MCP-1 during diseases and to develop anti-inflammatory agents,we establish a transgenic mouse line. The firefly luciferase gene is incorporated into the mouse genome and driven by the endogenous MCP-1 promoter.A bioluminescence photographing system is applied to monitor luciferase levels in live mice during inflammation, including lipopolysaccharide-induced sepsis, concanavalin A-induced T cell-dependent liver injury,CCl_(4)-induced acute hepatitis, and liver fibrosis. The results demonstrate that the luciferase signal induced in inflammatory processes is correlated with endogenous MCP-1 expression in mice.Furthermore, the expressions of MCP-1 and the luciferase gene are dramatically inhibited by administration of the anti-inflammatory drug dexamethasone in a septicemia model. Our results suggest that the transgenic MCP-1-Luc mouse is a useful model to study MCP-1 expression in inflammation and disease and to evaluate the efficiency of anti-inflammatory drugs in vivo. | Fangyang Shao Lei Ci Jiahao Shi Fei Fang Bowen Yan Xijun Liu Xiangyu Yao Mengjie Zhang Hua Yang Zhugang Wang Jian Fei | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,10: | 0
Mechanism of forming an ink-bottle-like pore structure based on SBA-15 by a novel MOCVD technique显示文摘Metallorganic chemical vapor deposition is used as a novel simple pore tailoring method to fine-tune the pore opening size of SBA-15 materials without significant loss in pore volume and surface area. By using acetylene as carbon source and copper (II) acetylacetonate as precursor, the poremouth of SBA-15 is effectively reduced from 5.78 nm to 3.67 nm while maintaining the pore body at 5.78 nm. The effect of four pore modification factors-the ratio of acetylene/nitrogen, the feeding time of carbon precursor, the ratio of SBA-C/Cu(acac)2 and the cycles of MOCVD on the final pore structure of the SBA-15/carbon/copper composite is studied. The morphology and microstructure of the resulting product SBA-C-Cu are characterized by XRD patterns, TEM images and EDS analysis. The XRD and TEM reveal that the SBA-C-Cu composite is highly hexagonally ordered and has similar particle morphology as the original SBA-15. | ZHANG Ying FRANK Leung-YUK Lam YAN ZiFeng HU XiJun | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,4: | 0
Prokaryotic Expression and Preparation of Polyclonal Antibody of HtrA Protein from Escherichia coli Causing Pneumonia in Fox显示文摘To investigate the roles of HtrA protein in bacterial adaption to stresses, htra gene was cloned from an Escherichia coli strain isolated from silver fox, double digested, and ligated into the prokaryotic expression vector pET32a. Then, the recombinant plasmid pET32a-htra was transformed into E. coli BL21 competent cells. The over-expression of His-HtrA protein was induced by the addition of IPTG at a final concentration of 1 mmol/L, and verified by SDA-PAGE and Western blot. In addition, the protein was purified with Ni-NTA agarose, and used to immunize mice, and the polyclonal antibody specifically bound to E. coli HtrA protein. The results will provide a theoretical basis for studying the roles of HtrA protein and developing vaccines for fur-bearing animals against E. coli. | Zhang Zhiqiang Wu Tonglei Wu Qingmin Yan Xijun Bai Xue Zhang Yanling He Hongxuan Zhang Hongxue Liu Changhao Shi Qiumei | 2018 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2018,10,1: | 0
Machine Learning Methods in Solving the Boolean Satisfiability Problem显示文摘This paper reviews the recent literature on solving the Boolean satisfiability problem(SAT),an archetypal N P-complete problem, with the aid of machine learning(ML)techniques.Over the last decade, the machine learning society advances rapidly and surpasses human performance on several tasks. This trend also inspires a number of works that apply machine learning methods for SAT solving. In this survey,we examine the evolving ML SAT solvers from naive classifiers with handcrafted features to emerging end-to-end SAT solvers,as well as recent progress on combinations of existing conflict-driven clause learning(CDCL)and local search solvers with machine learning methods.Overall, solving SAT with machine learning is a promising yet challenging research topic. We conclude the limitations of current works and suggest possible future directions. The collected paper list is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asc0bbubb9o9no6cxc.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/ThinklabSJTU/awesome-ml4co.Keywords:Machine learning(ML),Boolean satisfiability(SAT),deep learning, graph neural networks(GNNs),combinatorial optimization. | Wenxuan Guo Hui-Ling Zhen Xijun Li Wanqian Luo Mingxuan Yuan Yaohui Jin Junchi Yan | 2023 | Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,5: | 0
