| 2 | Molecular epidemiology demonstrates that imported and local strains circulated during the 2014 dengue outbreak in Guangzhou, China显示文摘The dengue virus(DENV) is a vital global public health issue. The 2014 dengue epidemic in Guangzhou, China, caused approximately 40,000 cases of infection and five deaths. We carried out a comprehensive investigation aimed at identifying the transmission sources in this dengue epidemic. To analyze the phylogenetics of the 2014 dengue strains, the envelope(E) gene sequences from 17 viral strains isolated from 168 dengue patient serum samples were sequenced and a phylogenetic tree was reconstructed. All 17 strains were serotype Ⅰ strains, including 8genotype Ⅰ and 9 genotype V strains. Additionally, 6 genotype Ⅰ strains that were probably introduced to China from Thailand before 2009 were widely transmitted in the 2013 and 2014 epidemics, and they continued to circulate until 2015, with one affinis strain being found in Singapore. The other 2 genotype Ⅰ strains were introduced from the Malaya Peninsula in 2014. The transmission source of the 9 genotype Ⅴ strains was from Malaysia in 2014. DENVs of different serotypes and genotypes co-circulated in the 2014 dengue outbreak in Guangzhou. | 4 | Microstructure and magnetic properties of electrodeposited Gd-Co alloy films显示文摘Gd-Co alloy films were synthesized by potentiostatic electrolysis on Cu substrates in urea-acetamide-NaBr-KBr melt at 353 K. The elec- troreduction of Co2+ and Gd3+ was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The reduction of Co2+ is an irreversible process. Gd3+ cannot be re- duced alone, but it can be inductively co-deposited with Co2+. Both the Gd content and microstructure of the prepared Gd-Co alloy films can be controlled by the deposited potential. The content of Gd was analyzed using an inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer (ICPES), and the microstructure was observed by scanning electron micrograph (SEM). The films were crystallized by heat-treatment at 823 K for 30 s in Ar atmosphere, and then were investigated by XRD. The hysteresis loops of the Gd-Co alloy films were measured by a vibrat- ing sample magnetometer (VSM). The experimental results reveal that the deposited Gd-Co alloy films are amorphous, while the annealing causes the samples to change from amorphous to polycrystalline, thus enhancing their magnetocrystalline anisotropy and coercivity. | 5 | Transferrin plays a central role in coagulation balance by interacting with clotting factors显示文摘Coagulation balance is maintained through fine-tuned interactions among clotting factors,whose physiological concentrations vary substantially.In particular,the concentrations of coagulation proteases(pM to nM)are much lower than their natural inactivator antithrombin(AT,〜3μM),suggesting the existence of other coordinators.In the current study,we found that transferrin(norm plasma concentration〜40 μM)interacts with fibrinogen,thrombin,factor Xlla(FXlla),and AT with different affinity to maintain coagulation balance.Normally,transferrin is sequestered by binding with fibrinogen(normal plasma concentration〜10 μM)at a molar ratio of 4:1.In atherosclerosis,abnormally up-regulated transferrin interacts with and potentiates thrombin/FXlla and blocks ATs inactivation effect on coagulation proteases by binding to AT,thus inducing hypercoagulability.In the mouse model,transferrin overexpression aggravated atherosclerosis,whereas transferrin inhibition via shRNA knockdown or treatment with antitransferrin antibody or designed peptides interfering with transferrin-thrombin/FXlla interactions alleviated atherosclerosis.Collectively,these findings identify that transferrin is an important clotting regulator and an adjuster in the maintenance of coagulation balance and modifies the coagulation cascade. | Xiaopeng Tang Zhiye Zhang Mingqian Fang Yajun Han Gan Wang Sheng Wang Min Xue Yaxiong Li Li Zhang Jian Wu Biqing Yang James Mwangi Qiumin Lu Xiaoping Du Ren Lai | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,2: | 2 |

| 7 | A Sequential Partial Optimization Algorithm for Design of Near Linear-Phase IIR Digital Differentiators显示文摘The linear phase is a major characteristic of digital differentiators in many signal processing applications. This study presents a sequential partial optimization method for designing a fullband infinite impulse response digital differentiator with a near linear phase. To achieve a near linear phase, the group delay is treated as an optimization variable, and the maximum phase error is minimized within a constrained domain. During each iteration of the algorithm, in addition to the whole numerator and group delay, only one second- order denominator factor is optimized. The necessary and sufficient stability triangles are applied to insure the stability of the differentiators, and the Gauss-Newton strategy is used to handle the non convexity of the design problems. | 8 | Intramedullary schwannoma of the upper cervical spinal cord:a case study of identification in pathologic autopsy显示文摘Intramedullary schwannoma of the upper cervical spinal cord is rarely reported in forensic medicine.We herein report a case involving a patient who died of compression from an intramedullary schwannoma in the upper cervical spinal cord.A 30-year-old man initially presented with a five-day history of pain in the left chest that progressed to weakening in the left arm.Although the patient was treated with analgesic poultices,he developed inspiratory dyspnoea and died while working the next day without having undergone any medical imaging examination or surgical treatment.Anatomical and histopathological examinations revealed an intramedullary schwannoma in the left cervical spinal cord(C_(3)-C_(5))underneath the spinal nerve root.The cause of death might have been asphyxia secondary to the tumour,which interfered with the nerve function in the respiratory muscles.This finding suggests that an autopsy is essential for pathologists and medicolegists to comprehensively undertake their due obligation to obtain“the first evidence”,especially when there is a lack of directly related evidence.As part of the central nervous system,the spinal cord could be systematically included in a routine pathological autopsy in some cases. | Xianxian Li Guangtao Xu Ruibing Su Junyao Lv Xiaoping Lai Xiaojun Yu | 2017 | Forensic Sciences Research2017,2,1: | 2 |

| 16 | Paleozoic Tectonic Switch in the North Qinling Orogenic Belt:Constraints from the Paleozoic Granites from the Northern Qinling Migmatite Terrane显示文摘The variations in source rocks and melting conditions of granites can provide essential clues for the crustal magmatic response in orogenic process.Based on geochronology,whole-rock and mineral chemistry,this paper reveals two different granites in the Northern Qinling migmatite complex,which reveal obvious differences in source region and melting condition.The older granodiorite(402±0.8 Ma)displays typical Na-rich adakite affinity,i.e.,high Na_(2)O/K_(2)O(2.04 to 2.64)and Sr/Y(96 to 117)ratios,they have relative evolved isotopic compositions(ε_(Nd)(t)=-0.52 to-0.04;zirconε_(Hf)(t)=-0.06 to+7.78).The younger leucogranite(371±2 Ma)displays higher SiO_(2)(72.32 to 73.45 wt%),lower(TFeO+MgO+CaO+TiO_(2))contents(<2 wt%)and depleted Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions(i.e.,ε_(Nd)(t)=+2.6 to+3.0;zirconε_(Hf)(t)=+5.94 to+14.12),as well as high 10000×Ga/Al and TFe O/Mg O ratios,indicating that they represent highly fractionated I-type granites that derived from melting of juvenile crust.The variations in source rocks and melting condition of the two granites indicating a tectonic switch from compression to extension in 400 to 370 Ma,this switch is later than that in the eastern section of the North Qinling,indicating a scissor collision process between the South Qinling and North China Craton(NCC)in Devonian era. | QIN Jiangfeng LAI Shaocong LONG Xiaoping | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,3: | 1 |

| 19 | Achieving stable K-storage performance of carbon sphere-confined Sb via electrolyte regulation显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)have been considered as one of the most promising alternatives to lithiumion batteries(LIBs)in view of their competitive energy density with significantly reduced product cost.Moreover,alloy-type materials are expected as a high-performance anode of PIBs thanks to their intrinsic chemical stability as well as high theoretical specific capacity.Unfortunately,the serious incompatibility between alloy-type active materials and electrolytes,especially for the formation of unstable solidelectrolyte interfacial(SEI)films,often leads to insufficient cycle life.Herein,the formation mechanism of SEI films in the K-storage systems based on carbon sphere confined Sb anode(Sb@CS)were investigated in commercially available electrolytes.Physical characterizations and theoretical calculation revealed that the solvents in the dilute electrolyte of 0.8 M KPF_(6)/EC+DEC were excessively decomposed on the interface to generate unstable SEI and thus result in inferior K-storage stability.On the contrary,a salt-concentrated electrolyte(3 M KFSI/DME)can generate inorganic-dominated stable SEI due to the preferential decomposition of anions.As a result,the prepared Sb@CS in the matched 3 M KFSI/DME electrolyte delivered a high reversible capacity of 467.8 m A h g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 100 m A g^(-1),with a slow capacity decay of 0.19%per cycle from the 10th to the 100th cycle.These findings are of great significance for revealing the interfacial reaction between electrodes and electrolytes as well as improving the stability of Sb-based anode materials for PIBs. | Ningning Chen Nailu Shen Xiaoping Yi Yinshuang Pang Jing Zheng Qingxue Lai Yanyu Liang | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1: | 1 |
