| 1 | Chemical Mechanism of Flower Color Microvariation in Paeonia with Yellow Flowers显示文摘Paeonia species are important ornamental plants,including three types:tree peony,herbaceous peony,and Itoh hybrid peony.Paeonia with yellow color is desired and becoming popular.However,the chemical mechanism of the formation of yellow flowers in Paeonia is still unclear.In this study,14 representative samples were selected:four samples of three species of Paeonia,four herbaceous peony cultivars,three lutea hybrid tree peony cultivars,and three Itoh hybrid peony cultivars.The petal extracts of the samples were determined by HPLC-DAD and HPLCQ-TOF-MS/MS.In total,29 flavonoids were isolated and identified,including 28 flavonol glycosides and one chalcone derivative.There were significant differences in the composition and content of flavonoids in petals of different cultivars(species).The total content of flavonoids was between 19.430 and 143.043 mg·g^−1 DW.Flavonol glycosides were detected in all samples.Chalconaringenin 2′-O-glucoside was detected from one herbaceous peony cultivar‘Golden Wheel’lutea hybrid tree peony cultivars,and Itoh peony cultivars.The content of chalconaringenin 2′-O-glucoside in the samples was more than 43% of total flavonoids.The pigment type and content of lutea hybrid tree peonies and Itoh hybrid peonies are similar.Total flavonoids,especially quercetin 3-O-galloylglucoside and chalconaringenin 2′-O-glucoside contribute greatly to the formation of yellow flowers of Paeonia.The results of this study provide a comprehensive understanding of the chemical mechanism for yellow flower coloration of Paeonia,and lay the foundation for yellow flower breeding of Paeonia. | Yong Yang Bing Li Chengyong Feng Qian Wu Qianyu Wang Shanshan Li Xiaonan Yu Liangsheng Wang | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,3: | 10 |

| 4 | Constructing a high-density linkage map for Gossypium hirsutum × Gossypium barbadense and identifying QTLs for lint percentage显示文摘To introgress the good fiber quality and yield from Gossypium barbadense into a commercial Upland cotton variety, a high-density simple sequence repeat(SSR) genetic linkage map was developed from a BC1F1 population of Gossypium hirsutum×Gossypium barbadense. The map comprised 2,292 loci and covered 5115.16 centi Morgan(c M) of the cotton AD genome, with an average marker interval of 2.23 c M. Of the marker order for 1,577 common loci on this new map, 90.36% agrees well with the marker order on the D genome sequence genetic map. Compared with five published high-density SSR genetic maps, 53.14% of marker loci were newly discovered in this map. Twenty-six quantitative trait loci(QTLs) for lint percentage(LP) were identified on nine chromosomes. Nine stable or common QTLs could be used for marker-assisted selection. Fifty percent of the QTLs were from G. barbadense and increased LP by 1.07%–2.41%. | 5 | Comparison of COVID-19 and influenza characteristics显示文摘The emergence of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) not only poses a serious threat to the health of people worldwide but also affects the global economy. The outbreak of COVID-19 began in December 2019, at the same time as the influenza season. However, as the treatments and prognoses of COVID-19 and influenza are different, it is important to accurately differentiate these two different respiratory tract infections on the basis of their respective early-stage characteristics. We reviewed official documents and news released by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention(China CDC), the United States CDC, and the World Health Organization(WHO), and we also searched the PubMed, Web of Science, Excerpta Medica database(Embase), China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI), Wanfang, preprinted bioRxiv and medRxiv databases for documents and guidelines from earliest available date up until October 3 rd, 2020. We obtained the latest information about COVID-19 and influenza and summarized and compared their biological characteristics, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, pathological mechanisms, treatments, and prognostic factors. We show that although COVID-19 and influenza are different in many ways, there are numerous similarities;thus, in addition to using nucleic acid-based polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and antibody-based approaches, clinicians and epidemiologists should distinguish between the two using their respective characteristics in early stages. | 11 | Novel hemostatic agents based on gelatin-microbial transglutaminase mix显示文摘Hemostasis is a major challenge in surgical procedures and traumas. Conventional hemostatic methods have limited efficacy and may cause additional tissue damage. In this study, we designed a novel hemostatic agent based on the in situ gel formation of gelatin cross-linked by a novel microbial transglutaminase(mTGase), in which the amino acid sequences differed from commercial mTGases. The new hemostatic agent showed the same biochemical crosslinking chemistry as the final stages of the blood coagulation cascade while using gelatin as a 'structural' protein(rather than fibrin) and a calcium-independent mTGase as the crosslinking catalyst(rather than factor XIIIa). | 12 | The effect of enzymes on release of trace elements in feedstuffs based on in vitro digestion model for monogastric livestock显示文摘Background: This experiment was conducted to study the effect of different feed enzymes(phytase,xylanase,β-glucanase) on release rate of trace elements(Fe,Cu,Mn and Zn) in 6 commonly used feedstuffs(corn,wheat,barley,soybean meal,wheat bran,wheat middlings) by using an in vitro model,simulating the digestive processes in stomach for 2 h and then in small intestine for 6 h at 39 °C.Results: Phytase raised(P < 0.05) the release rate of Cu and Zn in corn,Cu,Zn and Mn in wheat,Cu in barley,Cu,Zn and Mn in soybean meal,Zn,Fe in wheat bran and Zn,Fe,Mn in wheat middlings.The release rate of various trace elements in feedstuffs was increased after xylanase addition.Compared with the control group,the release rate of soluble Cu in corn,wheat,barley and soybean meal,soluble Zn in corn,wheat and wheat middlings and soluble of Mn in corn,wheat,barley and wheat bran increased(P < 0.05) after xylanase treatment.After the treatment of β-glucanase,the release rate of soluble Cu in corn,wheat and wheat bran,soluble Fe in barley,soybean meal and wheat bran and soluble Mn in corn and wheat bran all increased(P < 0.05) compared with the control group.In each feedstuff,after corresponding enzyme treatment,the contents of phytic acid,xylan and β-glucan were significantly lower than those of the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusions: Results showed that bound trace elements in feedstuffs can be released by feed enzymes.It may be necessary to take the trace elements in feedstuffs into account in the actual feed preparation including feed enzymes. | Xiaonan Yu Jianan Han Haiyun Li Yiwei Zhang Jie Feng | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,1: | 2 |

| 19 | Response of operating metro tunnels to compensation grouting of an underlying large-diameter shield tunnel:A case study in Hangzhou显示文摘Due to the shield tunneling underneath,long-term settlements may develop in the existing metro tunnels.The compensation grouting is applied worldwide to stabilize the settlement of ground and existing structures.Few field studies concerning large-diameter shield pass-ing tunnel from below have analyzed the interaction between the compensation grouting and the existing tunnel.This paper presents a case study on the response of the operating metro tunnels to the compensation grouting of an underlying large-diameter tunnel in muddy clay stratum.The tunnel deformations before,during,and after the compensation grouting were monitored and analyzed.The long-term tunnel settlements were mitigated and stabilized by the timely compensation grouting.Smaller settlement rates were observed during the grouting treatment,and the settlement was gradually stabilized three months after the grouting.The grouting holes at the tunnel invert were used initially for better grouting efficiency.The horizontal displacement and convergence developed during the grouting construc-tion and remained stable after the grouting process.Moreover,some limitations of the grouting treatment were discussed.The tunnel settlement in the section close to the center-line of the south-line tunnel cannot be prevented effectively.The differential displacement cannot be reduced by this grouting program. | Xiaolu Gan Jianlin Yu Xiaonan Gong Yongmao Hou Nianwu Liu Min Zhu | 2022 | Underground Space2022,7,2: | 1 |
