Structural feature and tectonic evolution of Awati-Bachu area in Tarim Basin显示文摘The research area is situated in the western part of Tarim basin, which includes Awati depression and Bachu uplifted block. It underwent three times processes of compression in a large scale and a near term extension since Cambrian. The first compression occurred during Middle Cambrian to Devonian, which formed fault band folds in NW axial direction. They were 'under-water uplift'and distributed all over the research area. The second compression occurred in Late Permian and formed fault band folds and a few fault propagation folds in NS axial direction. They are developed near Tumuxiuke fault belt and the northern research area. The western anticline is bigger than the eastern one in extent and size. The third compression occurred during Palaeogene to Quaternary and formed tumuxiuke fault belt and fault propagation folds in NW direction. They are distributed over the south part of the research area. Tumuxiuke fault belt is a big scale dextral reversed strike-slip fault belt; it transformed or destroyed the fold structure of the research area. A short-term extension occurred during Early Permian. Tarim Basin is in the rift forming stage of craton, and there exist widespread basic volcanic rocks, basic intrusive bodies and dikes. | Zhihong LIU Defeng ZHU Junyi GAO Xiangmei WU Dongcheng LIN Liguo ZHANG | 2008 | Global Geology2008,11,1: | 0

Molecular Identification of Hyalomma anatolicum,Hyalomma asiaticum and Hyalomma detritum显示文摘Hyalomma anatolicum,Hyalomma asiaticum and Hyalomma detritum are wide-spread tick vectors in China. They could transmit a great variety of serious animal and human pathogens, which are great threats to the health of human beings and the safety of stockbreeding. Most of them are distributed in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, and they share similar morphologies. This study is to establish a method for identifying H. anatolicum,H. asiaticum and H. detritum with molecular markers and to revealing the phylogenetic relationship of these ticks. Ticks were collected from domestic animals in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions and classified by morphological characters. 16 S rRNA and mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I gene( COI) of ticks were amplified by PCR and subsequently sequenced. Phylogenetic trees were constructed by MEGA 5. 0 and Mrbayes 3. 2. On the 16 S rRNA-based phylogenetic tree,H. anatolicum and H. aisaticum were clustered together with their respective classes. H. detritum was clustered with their respective class and the H. anatolicum,H. asiaticum formed distinct branches on the phylogenetic trees based on the COI. The method based on morphology that combined with molecular 16 S rRNA and COI seemed a simple and accurate method for species identification of H. anatolicum,H. asiaticum and H. detritum. | Lv Jizhou Wu Shaoqiang Zhang Yongning Wang Zhenbao Feng Chunyan Wang Caixia Deng Junhua Yuan Xiangfen Lin Xiangmei | 2014 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2014,6,3: | 0
Prevalence and risk factors for minimal hepatic encephalopathy in cirrhotic patients with different etiologies显示文摘Aims:Minimal hepatic encephalopathy(MHE)significantly affects the prognosis of patients with cirrhosis. This study was performed to determine whether there is a difference in the prevalence of MHE among patients with cirrhosis of different etiologies and whether the etiology directly influences the occurrence of MHE.Methods:This multicenter,cross-sectional study enrolled 1879 patients with confirmed cirrhosis at 40 hospitals from October 25,2021,to January 10,2023(Trial registration:http://gffzzd3f38a9638994581svw5wubqkqkox6qwv.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/[NCT05140837]).The patients'demographics, etiologies of cirrhosis, and laboratory test results were collected. The psychometric hepatic encephalopathy score(PHES)was determined in all patients to screen for MHE.Multivariate logistic analyses were performed to identify the risk factors for MHE.Results:In total,736 patients with cirrhosis were analyzed. The prevalence of MHE was 42.0%(n=309).The primary etiology among all patients was hepatitis B virus(HBV)-related cirrhosis(71.9%[529/736]).The prevalence of MHE was significantly higher in patients with alcoholic cirrhosis(57.1%[40/70])than in those with HBV-related cirrhosis(40.6%[215/529],p=0.009)or hepatitis C virus(HCV)-related cirrhosis(38.2%[26/68],p=0.026).Age(odds ratio[OR],1.042;95%confidence interval[CI],1.024-1.059;p<0.001),duration of education(OR,0.935;95%CI,0.899-0.971;p=0.001),etiology(OR,1.740;95%CI,1.028-2.945;p=0.039),and high MELD-Na scores(OR,1.038;95%CI,1.009-1.067;p=0.009)were independent risk factors for MHE.When patients with cirrhosis of different etiologies were analyzed separately, the results showed that age(OR,1.035;95%CI,1.014-1.057;p=0.001)and duration of education(OR,0.924;95%CI,0.883-0.966;p=0.001)were risk factors for MHE among patients with HBV-related cirrhosis, whereas age(OR,1.138;95%CI,1.033-1.254;p=0.009)and creatinine concentration(OR,16.487;95%CI,1.113-244.160;p=0.042)were risk factors for MHE in patients with HCV-related cirrhosis. No risk factors for MHE were found in patients with autoimmune cirrhosis. For patients with alcoholic cirrhosis, the platelet count(OR,1.014;95%CI,1.000-1.027;p=0.045)was a risk factor for MHE.The PHES subtest results were inconsistent among patients who had MHE with cirrhosis of different etiologies.Patients with HBV-related cirrhosis performed better on Number Connection Test B and the serial dotting test than those with alcoholic cirrhosis(p=0.007 and p<0.001),better on Number Connection Test B than those with HCV-related cirrhosis(p=0.020),and better on the line tracing test than those with autoimmune cirrhosis(p=0.037).Conclusion:The etiology of cirrhosis affected the prevalence of MHE and risk factors for MHE.The domains of major cognitive impairment varied among patients with cirrhosis of different etiologies.Further studies are required to verify these findings. | Xiaoyan Li Shanghao Liu Huiling Xiang Qingge Zhang Ying Guo Hongmei Zu Jing Wang Jiaojian Lv Xiaoning Zhang Fanping Meng Jiahuan Li Jie Li Yangzhen Bianba Jia Shang Guo Zhang Fei Liu Zhaowei Tong Chuang Lei Wei Ye Qiaohua Yang Ningning Wang Ying Song Wei Fu Ziyue Li Yanjing Gao Yongping Zhang Jiafang Chen Caiyun Wu Qi Zheng Fang Wang Jiali Yu Lianjie Lin Chuanlong Yang Xiaoting Yang Xiaomin Ye Xiangmei Wang Xuelan Zhao Xiaolong Qi Fusheng Wang Junliang Fu | 2023 | Portal Hypertension & Cirrhosis2023,2,4: | 0
Identification of tick-borne pathogens using metagenomic analyses in H.longicornis feeding on humans in downtown Beijing显示文摘On August 14th,2018,a Beijing resident living in Xicheng District found a female H.longicornis tick attached to the skin at the front of his upper shin.On examination, the patient was afebrile and appeared well. The species of the tick was identified through morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis based on cytochrome C oxidase subunit I.This H.longicornis tick was screened for tick-borne pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and parasites.RNA pathogens were screened by PCR and sequencing, while DNA pathogens were screened by metagenomic analyses. It was found that the tick was positive for the DNA sequences of zoonotic and animal pathogens such as A phagocytophilum,Ehrlichia minasensis and C.burnetii.Considering the good health condition of the patient,we hypothesized that the pathogens originated from the tick specimen itself rather than host blood meal. For the first time, our study reveals the possible risk of transmission of tick-borne pathogens to human beings through tick bit in downtown Beijing.Further research is needed to screen for tick-borne pathogens among unfed ticks collected from central Beijing. | Jizhou Lv Huiyu Wang Xueqing Han Lin Mei Xiangfen Yuan Yufang Kong Junhua Deng Zhen F.Fu Shaoqiang Wu Xiangmei Lin | 2021 | Animal Diseases2021,1,3: | 0
Bioorthogonal Prodrug–Antibody Conjugates for On-Target and On-Demand Chemotherapy显示文摘Current antibody–drug conjugates(ADCs)suffer from low tissue penetration and significant side effects, largely due to the permanent linkage and/or premature release of cytotoxic payloads.Herein,we developed a prodrug–antibody conjugate(ProADC)strategy by conjugating a bioorthogonal-activatable prodrug with an antibody that allowed on-target release and on-demand activation of cytotoxic drugs at a tumor site. The bioorthogonal-caged prodrug exhibited an enhanced permeability into and on-demand activation within cancer cells, while the pH-sensitive ADC linker allowed on-target release of the anticancer agent.Together, the ProADCs showed enhanced tumor penetration and alleviated side effects for use as an on-target and on-demand chemotherapy agents. | Feng Lin Long Chen Heng Zhang William Shu Ching Ngai Xiangmei Zeng Jian Lin Peng R.Chen | 2019 | CCS Chemistry2019,1,2: | 0
Recombineering enables genome mining of novel siderophores in a non-model Burkholderiales strain显示文摘Iron is essential for bacterial survival, and most bacteria capture iron by producing siderophores.Burkholde-riales bacteria produce various types of bioactive secondary metabolites, such as ornibactin and malleobactin siderophores. In this study, the genome analysis of Burkholderiales genomes showed a putative novel siderophore gene cluster crb, which is highly similar to the ornibactin and malleobactin gene clusters but does not have pvdF,a gene encoding a formyltransferase for N-δ-hydroxy-ornithine formylation.Establishing the bacteriophage recom-binase Redγ-Redδβ7029 mediated genome editing system in a non-model Burkholderiales strain Paraburkholderia caribensis CICC 10960 allowed the rapid identification of the products of crb gene cluster, caribactins A-F(1-6).Caribactins contain a special amino acid residue N-δ-hydroxy-N-δ-acetylornithine(haOrn),which differs from the counterpart N-δ-hydroxy-N-δ-formylornithine(hOrn)in ornibactin and malleobactin, owing to the absence of pvdF.Gene inactivation showed that the acetylation of hOrn is catalyzed by CrbK,whose homologs proba-bly not be involved in the biosynthesis of ornibactin and malleobactin, showing possible evolutionary clues of these siderophore biosynthetic pathways from different genera.Caribactins promote biofilm production and en-hance swarming and swimming abilities, suggesting that they may play crucial roles in biofilm formation. This study also revealed that recombineering has the capability to mine novel secondary metabolites from non-model Burkholderiales species. | Xingyan Wang Haibo Zhou Xiangmei Ren Hanna Chen Lin Zhong Xianping Bai Xiaoying Bian | 2023 | Engineering Microbiology2023,3,3: | 0
