2Reservoir-induced landslides and risk control in Three Gorges Project on Yangtze River,China显示文摘The Three Gorges region in China was basically a geohazard-prone area prior to construction of the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR).After construction of the TGR,the water level was raised from 70 m to 175 m above sea level(ASL).and annual reservoir regulation has caused a 30-m water level difference after impoundment of the TGR since September 2008.This paper first presents the spatiotemporal distribution of landslides in six periods of 175 m ASL trial impoundments from 2008 to 2014.The results show that the number of landslides sharply decreased from 273 at the initial stage to less than ten at the second stage of impoundment.Based on this,the reservoir-induced landslides in the TGR region can be roughly classified into five failure patterns,i.e.accumulation landslide,dip-slope landslide,reversed bedding landslide,rockfall,and karst breccia landslide.The accumulation landslides and dip-slope landslides account for more than 90%.Taking the Shuping accumulation landslide(a sliding mass volume of 20.7 × 10~6 m^3) in Zigui County and the Outang dip-slope landslide(a sliding mass volume of about 90 × 10~6 m^3) in Fengjie County as two typical cases,the mechanisms of reactivation of the two landslides are analyzed.The monitoring data and factor of safety(FOS) calculation show that the accumulation landslide is dominated by water level variation in the reservoir as most part of the mass body is under 175 m ASL,and the dip-slope landslide is controlled by the coupling effect of reservoir water level variation and precipitation as an extensive recharge area of rainfall from the rear and the front mass is below 175 m ASL.The characteristics of landslide-induced impulsive wave hazards after and before reservoir impoundment are studied,and the probability of occurrence of a landslide-induced impulsive wave hazard has increased in the reservoir region.Simulation results of the Ganjingzi landslide in Wushan County indicate the strong relationship between landslide-induced surge and water variation with high potential risk to shipping and residential areas.Regarding reservoir regulation in TGR when using a single index,i.e.1-d water level variation,water resources are not well utilized,and there is also potential risk of disasters since 2008.In addition,various indices such as 1-d.5-d,and 10-d water level variations are proposed for reservoir regulation.Finally,taking reservoir-induced landslides in June2015 for example,the feasibility of the optimizing indices of water level variations is verified.Yueping Yin Bolin Huang Wenpei Wang Yunjie Wei Xiaohan Ma Fei Ma Changjun Zhao 2016Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2016,8,5:45
3Oxidative stress in granulosa cells contributes to poor oocytequality and IVF-ET outcomes in women with polycystic ovarysyndrome显示文摘The increased levels of intraceHular reactive oxygen species (ROS) in granulosa cells (GCs) may allectthe pregnancy results in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In this study, we compared the in vitrofertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) results of 22 patients with PCOS and 25 patients with tubal factorinfertility and detected the ROS levels in the GCs of these two groups. Results showed that the PCOS group hadsignificantly larger follicles on the administration day for human chorionic gonadotropin than the tubal factorgroup (P 〈 0.05); however, the number of retrieved oocytes was not significantly different between the two groups(P 〉 0.05). PCOS group had slightly lower fertilization, cleavage, grade IflI embryo, clinical pregnancy, andimplantation rates and higher miscarriage rate than the tubal factor group (P 〉 0.05). We further found asignificantly higher ROS level of GCs in the PCOS group than in the tubal factor group (P 〈 0.05). The increasedROS levels in GCs caused GC apoptosis, whereas NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2) specific inhibitors (diphenyleneio-donium and apocynin) significantly reduced the ROS production in the PCOS group. In conclusion, the increasedROS expression levels in PCOS GCs greatly induced cell apoptosis, which further affected the oocyte quality andreduced the positive IVF-ET pregnancy results of women with PCOS. 5NiSe_(2)/Ni(OH)_(2) Heterojunction Composite through Epitaxial-like Strategy as High-Rate Battery-Type Electrode Material显示文摘Constructing heterojunction is a promising way to improve the charge transfer efficiency and can thus promote the electrochemical properties.Herein,a facile and effective epitaxial-like growth strategy is applied to NiSe2 nano-octahe-dra to fabricate the NiSe2-(100)/Ni(OH)2-(110)heterojunction.The heterojunction composite and Ni(OH)2(performing high electrochemical activity)is ideal high-rate battery-type supercapacitor electrode.The NiSe2/Ni(OH)2 electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 909 C g^-1 at 1 A g^-1 and 597 C g^-1 at 20 A g^-1.The assembled asymmetric supercapacitor composed of the NiSe2/Ni(OH)2 cathode and p-phenylenediamine-functional reduced graphene oxide anode achieves an ultrahigh specific capacity of 303 C g^-1 at 1 A g^-1 and a superior energy density of 76.1 Wh kg^-1 at 906 W kg^-1,as well as an outstanding cycling stability of 82%retention for 8000 cycles at 10 A g^-1.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first example of NiSe2/Ni(OH)2 heterojunction exhibiting such remarkable supercapacitor performance.This work not only provides a promising candidate for next-generation energy storage device but also offers a possible universal strategy to fabricate metal selenides/metal hydroxides heterojunctions.Hao Mei Zhaodi Huang Ben Xu Zhenyu Xiao Yingjie Mei Haobing Zhang Shiyu Zhang Dacheng Li Wenpei Kang Dao Feng Sun 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,5:3
6Experimental study ofcasing wear under impact-sliding conditions显示文摘Theoretical analysis and field monitoring show that lateral vibration has very important effect on casing wear in deep & ultra-deep well drilling.The wear mechanism ofcasing under impact-sliding work conditions has been investigated and many experiments have been completed with a newly developed full-scale casing wear test machine.Test results present that adhesion wear,contact fatigue,and grinding abrasion are the main wear mechanisms under impact-sliding test conditions.The friction coefficient and linear wear rate ofthe casing rise obviously with an increase in impact load.And the larger the impact load,the rougher the worn surface ofthe casing.The linear wear rate decreased slightly but the average friction coefficient increased slightly with an increase in impact frequency under an impact load of2,500 N.Both the linear wear rate ofthe casing and the average friction coefficient increased substantially with an increase in impact frequency under an impact load of4,000 N.Under lower impact load conditions,grinding abrasion and contact fatigue are the main mechanisms ofcasing wear;under higher impact load conditions,adhesion wear and contact fatigue are the main mechanisms ofcasing wear.Shengli Chu Laibin Zhang Jianchun Fan Wenpei Zheng Huiyuan Yu 2009Petroleum Science2009,6,4:3

10Effects of Early- and Late-Sowing on Starch Accumulation and Associated Enzyme Activities During Grain Filling Stage in Rice显示文摘The environmental temperature occurring during the grain filling stage is an important factoraffecting starch synthesis and accumulation in rice. We investigated starch accumulation, amylaseactivity and starch granule size distribution in two low-amylose japonica rice varieties, Nanjing 9108 andFujing 1606, grown in the field at different filling temperatures by manipulating sowing date. The two ricevarieties exhibited similar performances between two sowing dates. Total starch, amylose andamylopectin contents were lower at the early-filling stage of T1 treatment (Early-sowing) compared withthose at the same stage in T2 treatment (Late-sowing). In contrast, at the late-filling stage, when fieldtemperatures were generally decreasing, total starch and amylopectin contents in T1 were highercompared to those in T2. The ideal temperature for strong activity of ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylaseand soluble starch synthase was about 22℃. A higher temperature from the heading to maturity stagesin T1 increased the activities of starch branching enzyme and suppressed the activities of granule boundstarch synthetase and starch debranching enzyme. We found that rice produced larger-sized starchgranules under the T1 treatment. 17Feasibility of columnar jointed basalt used for high-arch dam foundation显示文摘Columnar jointed basalt, with a lot of small-spacing structural planes and poor integrity, is a kind of fractured rock mass. Through comprehensive study of columnar joints shape, roughness of fracture surface and chemical composition of basalt, it is known that columnar joints of Baihetan dam area were formed as a result of cooling and shrinkage effects of magma. The columnar jointed basalt is mainly formed through chemical reaction of chlorite, kaolinite, epidote and tremolite, and the columnar joints mainly consist of chlorite according to slice identification and chemical analysis. Test results show that the columnar jointed basalt has high uniaxial compressive strength, low friction coefficient, and high cohesion, shear strength and deformation index. Meanwhile, the columnar jointed basalt is closely locked, and joint surfaces are well closed. The permeability of the rock is quite weak, and the P-wave velocity in the rock could get up to 5 000 m/s. All these show good rock properties. The columnar joints develop regularly, different from the general fractured rock masses.
